Herb Montgomery (The Willits News)

Author and speaker Herb Montgomery is bringing his "The Jesus Dialogue" event to the Willits Seventh-day Adventist Church on Friday and Saturday next week.

Pastor Stan Caylor of the Willits church says: "The Jesus Dialogue is a different kind of event that takes an honest look at the person of Jesus, what he taught, and the difference between following a religion vs. following a person."

Montgomery's first talk, entitled "An Invitation," is set for Friday, August 31, at 7 p.m. Continuing on Saturday, September 1, at 11 a.m., Montgomery will speak on "Why God Why?" At 12:30 p.m., the church will provide a free lunch. Montgomery's 2 p.m. talk is entitled "Having the Right Center," and the 3 p.m. talk will be: "The Victory of Christ."

All of the talks in "The Jesus Dialogue" are free.

"Herb has always been very well received," Pastor Caylor says. "He's been making these presentations clear across the country, and usually has a pretty full house. People who listen to him like to come back and hear him again. Anybody, no matter what their religious background--or non-religious background--will find his talks interesting and enjoyable."

The Seventh-day Adventist Church is located at the corner of West Mendocino and Spruce in Willits. For more information, call 354-0702.
