“Obama Embraced by Catholics; Romney Dines With Rich People.”

It’s the Al Smith Dinner, one of American politics’ most wonderful traditions.

In the spirit of coming together despite our differences, and regaining a sense of humor about ourselves and our life…the Al Smith Dinner happened tonight. A welcome respite from an often heated campaign, and partisan culture.

Update: after reading some commentary, have to sadly agree that Mr. Obama’s jokes seem funny, and often self-deprecating, delivered at his own expense…while Mr. Romney’s are critical, laughing “at,” skewering, and in the in the words of a conservative blog, “brutal.” Interesting. In any case, both gents are enjoyable:
