Statistics:
3 Roman Catholics
2 Jews
2 Baptists
1 Mormon
-------------
8 Total

Peculiar Characteristics of The Gang:

6 Lawyers
2 Politicians
--------------
8 Total

6 Caucasian Non-Hispanics
2 Cuban-Americans
-------------------------------
8 Total

Other trivial (or maybe not) features:

2 Soldiers
1 Missionary

My outstanding observation of these men is that 6 of them are Lawyers, and that 2 are Cuban-Americans.
Do Lawyers and Cuban-Americans represent the spectrum of the American citizenry?

Can these men's religion, professions or their ethnicity give them a better understanding of Immigration Issues?

BTW: Cubans are mainly refugees (have been so since the Cuban Revolution in 1959), not immigrants per se.

Why are these men The Gang of Eight?

Why are they so willing to legislate Immigration Reform for 11 million Illegal Aliens at a time of ECONOMIC RECESSION, Medicare and Social Security cut-backs?

In regards to the Cubans in The Gang of Eight:
How many Cubans took part in the Watergate (Campaign Headquarters break in) Scandal?

Answer: TWO!

1. Virgilio R. Gonzales – a locksmith from Miami, Florida. Gonzalez was a refugee from Cuba, following Castro’s takeover.

2. Eugenio R. Martinez – worked for Barker’s Miami real estate firm. He had CIA connections and was an anti-Castro Cuban exile. Click here to read Martinez’s account of the burglary.
