Blogging on a Wing and a Prayer

FYI:

Since I've started blogging in 2006, I decided Nothing would stop me... recently my laptop is being repaired and my back-up, old PC is also on the blink.  So to continue posting I've resorted to blogging  with a smart phone.  Thought you would be interested why the site is not up to par lately. This is a difficult task, learning and how to do it.

Scripture That Warns Against Falling Before Dialectical Praxis

Let There Be Difference…

Discipleship’s Internal Frame of Reference of Faith
If you study closely the gospel, you will see that Jesus confronts this issue of attack on the soul at the very basis of the call to discipleship. When He calls, the person must leave, he must hate, Jesus said, all,-- all other people, even family members, even spouse, father, mother, wife, children, and even his own life, or he cannot be Christ’s disciple. Luke 14:26. Then he must take up his cross-the cross of shame, rejection, and reproach. The internal submission of the soul to Christ must transcend all that one sees with the eye. The soul now lives by faith, not by sight. He operates from the internal reference point of mystical union with Christ, His kingdom, His voice, His Word, rather than being influenced by any external force around him. In addition, the disciple must be prepared for universal rejection, hatred, reproach, and shame, because he is now living out of his internal reference to the unseen Christ, rather than being in submission to the group around him.

The Socializing of all of Life, Including State and Church
Answering the call of discipleship is the basis of Christianity. The individuality that takes place in answering the call of discipleship is the basis of the freedoms of our Anglo-Saxon Common Law and our Constitution, all of which is becoming a dead “piece of paper” as the very reference point to which it was addressed-namely, individual freedom in discipleship-has been removed in the soul due to dialectical praxis.
The same with the church-it has become an institution with the focus on the external ecclesiastical hierarchy, rather than on the worship of the unseen God. This is fundamental to ecumenism, to Church Growth, to NLP, to the New Theology, to the host of variations of apostasy. At the root of it lies submission to the hierarchy of man rather than the internal submission in faith to the unseen world of the true, Biblical Christ, and His kingdom. Our entire culture has shifted off the world of individual faith with the internal reference point of conviction, to external fitting in with the group-be it the nation, the church, the classroom, or the church board.

The Person Maintaining the Authority of Christ’s Name is Regarded with Disbelief
The person who still maintains his ground of the internal reference point of faith in discipleship under the authority of Christ’s name is regarded with disbelief. How can he be so disagreeable, out of touch, so “unloving”, so maladjusted, as to not fit in with the general consensus as change is brought in? 100 years ago, the servant of the Lord wrote these words:
“The prevailing spirit of our time is one of infidelity and apostasy-a spirit of avowed illumination because of a knowledge of truth, but in reality of the blindest presumption. Human theories are exalted and placed where God and His law should be. Satan tempts men and women to disobey, with the promise that in disobedience they will find liberty and freedom that will make them as gods. There is seen a spirit of opposition to the plain word of God, of idolatrous exaltation of human wisdom above divine regvelation. Men have allowed their minds to become so darkened and confused by conformity to worldly customs and influences that they seem to have lost all power to discriminate between light and darkness, truth and error. So far have they departed from the right way that they hold the opinions of a few philosophers, so called, to be trustworthier than the truths of the Bible. The entreaties and promises of God’s word, its threatenings against disobedience and idolatry-these seem powerless to melt their hearts. A faith such as actuated Paul, Peter, and John they regard as old-fashioned, mystical, and unworthy of the intelligence of modern thinkers.” PK 178.
Today, dialectical praxis has almost engulfed humanity.

Dialectical Praxis Can Rear Its Head in the Most Unsuspecting Places
The issue of internal versus external reference points can arise anywhere. In the most unsuspecting environments, dialectical praxis is used to break down the conscience and conviction of souls, often in order to maintain and establish the authority of a hierarchy of power.

Re-educating Conscience from the Internal Conviction of Faith to External Hierarchy and Group
In a revolutionary cell in Communist China, dialectical praxis was used to “convert” the dissident to the principles of communism. In a classroom, it will be used to eliminate conviction regarding moral absolutes. In a church setting, it will uphold “God,” while at the same time work to extinguish the authority of God in life manifested in individual conviction in true discipleship, and re-educate the conscience to submission to the church hierarchy. Remember that Satan is an expert at quoting Scripture. “Satan is an expert in quoting Scripture, placing his own interpretations upon passages, by which he hopes to cause us to stumble.” GC 530. In the Second Temptation of Christ in the Wilderness, Satan used Scripture to countenance deception: “As Jesus before used the word of God to sustain His faith, the tempter now uses it to countenance his deception.” DA 124.

You Will Encounter Dialectical Praxis Sooner or Later
It requires some intellectual effort to understand dialectical materialism, or diaprax for short, but it is crucial, for today it has penetrated every level of life, education, government, and the church, and it will ultimately impact massively on your life, no matter how sheltered you may think you are, for the sure Word of the Lord, it is bringing on the Great Tribulation. Fundamental to the Skull and Bones society, for example, it is the Hegelian dialectic.

The Ruthless Application of Dialectical Praxis Against Individual Conviction
Fundamental to the elimination of conscience and dissent in the church is dialectical praxis. Dialectical praxis is used in and out of church board meetings, for example, to utterly exterminate all opposition to the Jesuit plan of the utter extermination of Protestantism by bringing congregations into full submission to ecclesiastical authority and then controlling the hierarchy from the top down. When it is used upon church members who would dare to resist the authoritarianism of the blast from the bottomless pit, the resisters, unless they know what the weapon is that is being used against them, are left reeling, in utter confusion, devastated, with all resistance ground up, shattered, and spat out in little pieces.

A Short History of Dialectical Praxis
For Hundreds of Years Dialectics Have Been the Special Province of the Jesuits Order
When the Jesuits developed communism [1600 to 1750 in Paraguay] the use of the dialectic found new horizons and development. In 1789, under their front organization, the Illuminati, the Jesuits launched a new manifestation of satanic power in Europe, the French Revolution, spoken of in Revelation 11 as a power arising out of the bottomless pit. The world would never be the same again. Ellen White would write in Education 228 that the worldwide dissemination of the teachings of the French Revolution would bring on the Great Tribulation.

The Hegelian Dialectic
Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel (1770-1831), a German philosopher, developed the dialectic into a new format to utterly confuse the way the brain functions. He developed the dialectic into thesis, antithesis, and synthesis, to bring about massive, fundamental, and virtually irreversible change.

Dialectical Materialism or Marxism
The Jesuits seized upon this new development of the dialectic and applied it to their ideology of communism. The result was the codification of communism in a refined and defined manifesto by the Jew, Karl Marx (1818-1883), called Marxism, often called dialectical materialism, in 1848. The immediate result was 50 revolutions in Europe, as chaos swept the European continent. One year later, in 1849, Ellen White would have her Hold, Hold, Hold vision.

Lenin considered Hegelian Dialectics Richest, Most Profound
Lenin wrote, “As the most comprehensive and profound doctrine of development, and the richest in content, Hegelian dialectics were considered by Marx and Engels the greatest achievement of classical German philosophy.” Lenin, Collected Works, vol. 24, p. 53, quoted in David A. Nobel, Understanding the Times, p. 298.

Marxism Penetrates Czarist Russia in the 1870s, Jesuits Readmitted in 1922
By the 1870s, Marxism had penetrated Russia, with the slipping past of the Czar’s censors of Marx Das Kapital. By the end of the 1870s, virtually every student in Russian universities was a Marxist and the nation was ripe for revolution. In 1917, the revolution came under Vladimir Lenin. Within a year, the Czar, the ancient enemy of Rome and defender of Eastern and Russian Orthodoxy was assassinated. By 1922, the Jesuits were readmitted to Russia, a delegation of Jesuits under the leadership of Edmund Walsh from Georgetown University paid a visit to Russia, and by 1925, the Jesuit-trained Stalin was firmly in command.

Dialectical Praxis Fundamental to Russian Takeover
Fundamental to the takeover in Russia was the work of the Russian university-trained Marxist intellectuals who led small groups all over Russia, using dialectical praxis. Praxis, is Latin for practice, or practical application, in this case, the application of Marxist dialectic. After years of the application of dialectical praxis in factories and farms of Russia, in ten days that shook the world, Marxist dialectical praxis seized control of the largest national land mass on earth which would become the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, or the Soviet Union for short.

Lenin Explains the Hegelian Dialectic
Lenin was the most fond of the Marxist/Hegelian dialectic, for it used to utterly exterminate all opposition, grinding up the minds and hearts and souls of all those opposed to the revolutionary concepts. Lenin wrote:
“Dialectics reveals that development proceeds by a process, in which the given situation-or thing, or idea-always gives birth to its exact antithesis, opposite; and in doing so doing creates a tension, a struggle, which becomes the motive power for change, progress, as the antithesis struggles with its mother, the thesis, until out of the struggle a new stage in history-be it of the situation, of the thing, or of the idea-is reached, namely the synthesis-and this, in turn, becomes the starting point of another round, by giving birth once more to its opposite.” –Lenin Collected Works, vol, 38, p. 358, quoted in Nobel, Understanding the Times, p. 140.

Dialectical Materialism Takes Over China in the 1950s
By 1950, dialectical materialism, or Marxism, was seizing China under the Yale-educated Mao Tse Tung. Fundamental to Mao’s Marxist revolution were cell groups, used to brain wash and overpower all opposition. Jesuit worker-priests in China joined the communist cell groups. (Malachi Martin, The Jesuits, 289, 290.)

In GC31 (1964-1966) Jesuits Decide to Utterly Transform All Human Society With Hegelian Dialectic and Teilhardian Pantheism
From 1964 to 1966, the Jesuits held their General Congregation 31 at the Gesu in Rome. The result was the launching of the Jesuit Pierre Teilard de Chardin’s pantheism and Marxism in America and around the world to utterly transform all of human society. The Soviets would place the books of the Jesuit Pierre Teihard de Chardin “on display with those of Marx and Lenin in Moscow’s Hall of Atheism.” –Malachi Martin, The Jesuits, 290.

Dialectical Praxis Takes Over America
The Jesuit Revolution resulting from GC31 was what has come to be known as the Hippie Revolution in America. Its pantheism would create the sexual revolution, crumbing Protestantism and Protestant morality forever in America. Fundamental to this Jesuit revolution of the 1960s was the massive introduction of the Hegelian Dialectic into an entire generation. It produced the “generation gap” as parents could no longer understand the way that their children thought. Children left their parents homes and society and formed hippie communes. The Jesuits, such as the Jesuit McSorley, carefully oversaw the whole process, which produced Bill and Hillary Clinton, and Pastor Rick Warren as well, of the Saddleback Church, whose Purpose driven Life has sold over 20 million copies and sweep the Structure.

Dialectical Praxis Sweeps the Churches, Pastoral Training, Education, Government, and Military
Jesuit dialectical praxis is the fundamental teaching of the Jesuit Liberation Theology that exploded throughout North and South America in the 1970s and following. Jesuit dialectical praxis immediately swept education, the churches, the government, the military, and all before it. It penetrated everywhere. Pastors in training were taught it in Human Relations workshops, in how to develop consensus and eliminate conscience and conviction so that there could be a church unity based, not on the fear of God and the truth, but upon submission to the “group,” the social unit, or, as it was put in Russia and China, the commune.

Dialectical Praxis Especially Used to Eliminate Dissent as Change is Brought In
Dialectical praxis found especial favor with universities involved in pastoral training for church growth, with salesmen, with businessmen, with any profession that desired to control the mind of its opposition, and crumple dissent. Of course, there is no discipline like psychology for the control of the human mind. The church growth movement even introduced “cell groups,” a concept that had been used in Communist Chinese brain-washing, had spread in the wake of communism to North Korea, spread to the megachurchs of South Korea where it was used to implement unity and eliminate dissent, and from there to the Church Growth movement in America, where it entered the Structure’s Church Growth movement.

Creator of NLP Involved in Dialectical Praxis
Richard Bandler, one of the creators of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, or NLP, for short, was deeply involved in the promotion of dialectical praxis. NLP would sweep the Structure in the 1990s, as hundreds of pastors were trained in it in the Calling and Caring Labs I and II, developed by Dr. John Savage. Hundreds were sent on to far more secret advanced NLP training in the hard-core NLP classes, for the Calling and Caring Labs only had about six hours of NLP in them. The pastors and conference men then trained their elders, and used it to control those resisting the New Theology and the invasion of pantheism.

Dialectical Praxis Can Appear in Unexpected Terrain
Ministries can pick up dialectical praxis in academic training where it is rife, and train its ministry workers in its principles. A man does not have to go through higher education to imbibe of diaprax. He can easily learn it from others at a ministry-or, off the street. And then, dialectical praxis, implemented by the agents of this ministry, can use these techniques to silence dissent in churches they operate. Thus, the same principles as used by the Jesuits make their way into new terrain, and many are overthrown. (Daniel 11:41).
For four and half centuries, the Jesuits have been masters of dialectics. Since their deployment of Jesuitical communism, they have added praxis to their dialectic. This had now been packaged and unleashed in academia through most of the twentieth century.

Russia Preparing For Global War Since 2003

Posted about 5 days ago

(DELFI) People in the Baltic states cannot feel secure. Russian President Vladimir Putin has a plan he has been working on for over a decade. So says former adviser to President Putin, Andrey Illarionov.

Giving a presentation at a conference in Palanga, Lithuania, Illarionov, who advised Putin on economic policy in 2000-2005, referred to a question that was raised in the recent Riga Conference 2014: Can people in Riga sleep peacefully at night?

“The same question could be raised in Tallinn, Vilnius, Palanga, Bucharest and other cities. No one in Riga could reply to it in the positive,” Illarionov said. “From my side, though, the question should be rephrased, especially after Barack Obama visited Estonia and said that NATO was prepared to defend Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius. The situation seems safer after the statement, but we must look at military readiness, military equipment at hand, not words. From the point of view of military readiness, NATO forces in the Baltics are insufficient.”

Instead of asking about peaceful sleep in Riga, Illarionov would look at Narva, an Estonian borderland town with dominant Russian-speaking population.

“How would NATO react if ‘little green men’ turned up not near Tallin, Riga or Vilnius, but, say, Narva?” he asks.

Illarionov says that the West already failed the test in Kiev, Donbass and Crimea. Ass long as an aggressor is not subjected to the full force of economic and military sanctions, no one can sleep peacefully.

“We are talking about a crisis in Ukraine. But such a definition is already a victory of Putin’s propaganda. An achievement of the Kremlin’s information war. It’s not a crisis, it’s a war. And, at the very least, a Russian-Ukrainian war,” says Putin’s former adviser.

Preparations running back a decade

According to Illarionov, Russia has been preparing for a major war at least since 2003 and for a confrontation with Ukraine and capture of Crimea, since 2004, when the ‘Orange Revolution’ started in Kiev.

Another contingency plan was drafted for 2010, in case Yulia Tymoshenko had won presidential election and not Moscow-backed Viktor Yanukovych. One more potential date for a war was chosen in 2015, according to Illarionov, when Ukraine would hold a presidential election. However, the Maidan happened sooner.

Illarionov refers to an article that the Ruskyi Zhurnal (Russian Journal) published in 2008, which detailed a plan for how to attack and occupy Crimea, then eastern Ukraine, central Ukraine and finally reach Kiev.

“As we see, not only were they preparing, they were publishing it,” he says.

According to Illarionov, Putin himself mentioned plans in Ukraine that same year in a NATO summit in Bucharest – he said that Ukraine was not a real nation, but a state that took over lands that historically belonged to Russia as well as Hungary, Poland and Romania.

The current Ukrainian-Russian war, Illarionov says, began on 27 July this year, when Putin started talking about the “Russian world” during a ceremony to mark an anniversary of the baptism of Slavic peoples.

Legalized aggression

According to the former presidential adviser, Russian laws essentially define four categories of ‘Russians': ethnic Russians, irrespective of whether they reside in or outside Russia; Russian-speakers, irrespective of their nationality; all former citizens of the Soviet Union and their offspring living in the territories formerly covered by the USSR; and former citizens of the Russian Empire (pre-1917) and their offspring living in the territories once covered by the Russian Empire.

“Such a legal base allows the Russian army to protect all the Russians listed in the law. Therefore, for the Russian side, such actions of the Russian army beyond Russian borders might seem completely legitimate,” Illarionov says.

He adds that Putin thinks of the current confrontation not as world war three – since that was the Cold War – but as world war four.

“Some scholars say this is Russia’s war against the West: allegedly, the West have made many mistakes, are moving in a wrong direction and Russia is trying to defend its values,” according to Illarionov.

Other scholars, he says, see the conflict along different lines, where Putin himself divides the West into two camps: the Anglo-Saxon states (the US, the UK, Canada, Australia) and the first-line states (the Baltics, Poland, Romania). According to this approach, there cannot possibly be unity between the Anglo-Saxons and the first-line countries.

“Granted, there’s also continental Europe: Germany, France, Italy. These countries could confront Russia, but perhaps they are also expected to remain neutral or side with Russia,” Illarionov says.

According to him, the annexation of Crimea has demonstrated that the old international consensus about the inviolability of borders has been broken: “The situation has changed. People in the Baltics cannot sleep peacefully.”

Ecclesiastical Megalomania. A taped lecture by David Chilton. The Foundation for Christian Reconstruction, 1992. The cassette tape is available from Chalcedon, Post Office Box 168, Vallecito, California 95251.

In the March Trinity Review 1994 describing how Scott Hahn was the pastor of a Reconstructionist church in Virginia, I commented that someone should write a book about Theonomist/Reconstructionist churches.  The book would be quite illuminating, for it would show how the ideas of Reconstructionism have played themselves out in practice. No one, to my knowledge, has written or is writing such a book, but David Chilton, a popular Reconstructionist author who was a member of the Tyler church for years, has given us a brief description of life in the most famous Reconstructionist church, the one in Tyler, Texas. That church was co-pastored by Ray Sutton--who is now [1994] president of the Philadelphia Seminary, formerly Reformed Episcopal Seminary--and James B. Jordan, who continues to write for Gary North and is now [1994] speaking at events sponsored by R. C. Sproul’s Ligonier Ministries. Of course, Gary North himself was a prominent member of the Tyler church. Chilton left the Tyler church some years ago, but unfortunately he did not entirely leave the Tyler theology. Nevertheless, his account of the events in the Tyler church should be of interest to all. It appears to be quite accurate, for several people have independently corroborated his account. It is impossible to give a full report on Chilton’s talk here, but I have tried to hit the highlights.

Chilton begins his talk by recounting his personal experience in the Jesus Movement in California. He found the same abuse of ecclesiastical authority in that movement as in the Reconstructionist Tyler church.

The Jesus Movement

”In 1970, I was running a coffee house ministry--we had kids on drugs coming in...and we would have rock concerts there and I would preach at them.... There was a young woman who showed up at Calvary Chapel named Sandy. Lovely blonde--she was reputed to be a prophetess--she would float in and prophesy and then she would sing a little bit, play a guitar, and then she would float back out. We were all in awe of her.

”And one evening, very unexpectedly, she showed up at my coffee house, which was some...30 miles away from Calvary Chapel...and came in and we all made way for her, and she came up to the stage, announced that she had some prophecies..., and then she sang and exhorted us with a few things and floated back out. We were all very impressed. A real prophetess of God had been in our midst.Ö

”Well, one night she came in and delivered a prophecy and then she took me aside. I had never spoken to her directly; I was too much in awe--we all were. She was really somebody important. Everybody told us she was important and all the important people in the Jesus Movement gave great deference to her, and so we didn’t really know what to say. So nobody ever talked to her. She just came in, made prophecies, and went out. She came up to me, and she needed to talk to me personally. She took me aside and informed me that God had told her that she and I were to be married....

”Here’s this woman I don’t even know and she tells me that we’re going to get married. And so she looked at me expectantly and so I said, but I don’t love you. And she looked at me with infinite prophetic sadness in her eyes and she said ‘Oh, David, I’m so disappointed. Surely you know by now that you walk by faith, and not by feelings.’ There was no answer to that one. So we walked back into the coffee house a few minutes later and announced our engagement.

”I was miserable and the longer this relationship went on, the more miserable I got. I found that she was very strange in a lot of ways.... I still didn’t know her very well and hardly had conversations with her but she was now...my matriarch or something. But I kept putting this off and so discovering strange things about her. The thing is nothing she said was ever tested. She said it and it was Word and we all submitted to it. And I began to feel that there was something wrong with this but I didn’t know how to oppose it exactly. She was a little bit miffed at me that I was moving too slow on this. She kept wanting to set a date for the wedding and I kept postponing it. And so finally she said, ‘David, we’re going to have to really get this together immediately or just call the whole thing off.’

”I said, ‘You know, I’ve been thinking the same thing. Let’s call the whole thing off.’ And that was the end of that, I thought....

”There were these, what we called Christian Houses. They were Christian communes presided over by an elder--a patriarch, who was maybe all of nineteen years old, who didn’t have a job. Everybody else went out and worked and then they came in and brought [their pay] to him and he sat there meditating all day and telling everybody to move to Oregon and things like that. And so for months afterward, elders of Christian Houses were coming to me and telling me that I had disobeyed God in a very serious way--that I had rejected the Word of God because this woman, Sandy, was the walking Word of God. She was infallible. What she said was the Word of God and we could not question it. She eventually pulled it on a couple of other guys and one of them fell for it and they got married....

”And this really is the whole issue of what became known in charismatic circles and Jesus People circles as the Shepherding Movement. One of the prime theologians behind this is Watchmen Nee, and you can find these kinds of things in his writings where there’s this real heavy top-down authority. Every move you make, every personal decision you make, certainly anything as important as moving from one place to another or anything like that, or getting married, there has to be a decision that comes down from the leadership. You aren’t allowed to make decisions on your own.

”Coming into the Reformed faith for me was a great liberty and a release.... I found to my great delight that one of the most liberating verses in the Bible is 1 John 3:4: ‘Sin is the transgression of the law.’ That may sound like bondage to some people, but it’s not. It’s the most liberating verse in the Bible or just about. Sin is the transgression of the law--that means sin isn’t the transgression of anything else. It’s only the transgression of the law.... But apart from that we aren’t to make legislation for one another. And so I thought that coming into Reconstructionism and being surrounded by fellow Reconstructionists, we would all see things that way. Well, it didn’t quite turn out that way....”

Reconstructionism in Tyler

After relating more stories about the Jesus Movement, all designed to emphasize the hippies’ desire for collective control and their antipathy for individual decision-making, Chilton reports the rise of a “heretic in the making”--a quick study who read Cornelius Van Til and Rousas Rushdoony and began making wild inferences from their views--in the church he attended in California. Chilton next turns to his experience at the Tyler church:

”There was a widow in the church...a little bit eccentric. She had quite a bit of money. She had it in gold and silver and precious stones and things like that. And she didn’t trust banks.... She had read enough newsletters about banks so she didn’t want anything to do with banks. So instead the elders of the church took her money or took her valuables for safekeeping. They stored her money or her valuables--her wealth--so that she would not have to trust it to one of those unregenerate banks out there. And somehow that money just disappeared.... She began to suspect things were going on and she asked for it back from the elders, and they resisted giving it back but eventually they gave her some--they just apologized and said that it was gone.... And this was in the tens of thousands of dollars. This is everything that the woman had.... They eventually gave her a few rusty tools and things they scraped together and that was all they gave her.... No one was ever held accountable for this....

”There was one deacon’s wife--a very sweet woman who was caught up in this and consumed with guilt over what had happened. And I don’t get this from hearsay. I myself witnessed her in tears uncontrollably confessing to this widow what had happened. Very upset. Very overcome. And the widow kept telling her, you know, it’s not your fault, I know it’s not your fault, it’s okay. The deacon’s wife couldn’t stop crying. She was overcome with guilt. Eventually her marriage fell apart. A couple of years ago she committed suicide. This corruption that was going on was covered up.

”Paul says to Timothy that the elders that sin are to be rebuked before all (1 Timothy 5:20). But the elders of this church had a different doctrine.... The elders (one of the ministers of this church in particular) told parents not ever to make the mistake of confessing wrong to their children.... Don’t say I’m sorry because that immediately lowers you in the estimation of your children. They won’t have respect for you anymore....”

But the problems in the Tyler church were not simply conversion of funds and bad advice from the elders. The elders adopted, taught, and enforced a view of the church that has no support in Scripture.

Reconstructionist Ecclesiolatry

”This [notion of not admitting error to children] feeds into a doctrine that they developed there that became known as ‘Father God, Mother Church....’ [Where have we heard this before?-Robbins] The way it works is this: God is your Father; the Church is your Mother. How do you deal with things at home?... You do not allow your children to play off one parent against another.

”Father God, Mother Church. If Mother Church comes down with a decision to her children that is wrong, it is against what God’s law says, God will back up Mother Church.

”Now this sent...shock waves through the church...and people immediately came up with the obvious objection: What if...the church commands you to, say, sacrifice your children on an altar or something...? How far does this go? Does God always back up Mother Church?

”And they said, oh, of course not. Obviously if the church ordered you as a member to sacrifice your children on an altar, that’s not Mother Church anymore. Mother Church at that point has clearly become a harlot. And God will not back up the decisions of a harlot....

”That means, though, that if the church is wrong, if you say that the church is wrong enough for me to disobey, you’re calling the church a harlot.... If Father God will back up Mother Church unless she is a harlot, [and] if you say that Mother Church is wrong on an issue, it had better be an important enough issue because what you have just done...is that you’ve called Mom a harlot. Now if you call my Mom a harlot, you’ll get into trouble. And that’s what happened in Texas....

”One of the things that was going on with this in the [Tyler] church was that we found that the elders of this church were very class conscious.... This church was not primarily built up from the community. That’s how local churches usually are developed. The Gospel takes root in a society and the church is built up from the local constituency. But that’s not what went on in this church. People moved to come to this church. This was a Reconstructionist haven and so they moved to come there. People at great cost to themselves--people gave up good jobs to get lesser paying jobs and so on. And the church had a fair number of rather poor people in the church. The pastor of that church to other people outside the church said that one of the problems that he had to deal with in his church was that there’s so many ‘white trash’ in the church....

”The sermons became increasingly mystical.... I would sit in church Sunday after Sunday and think, I have read Rushdoony, I’ve read Van Til.... You know, I may not be genius level but I’ve got an intellect. And I’m sitting here, I’m rather well-read, probably more well-read than most members of the congregation, and I can’t make head or tail of what this man is saying. I have no idea what he is talking about in the pulpit. And if I can’t figure this out, how are these other people doing?

”Well, one way the other people were coping with it was that they assumed that this has to be really hot stuff. ‘This is profound because I can’t understand it. I’m sitting here in awe and wonder at all these things that are being said from the pulpit, I don’t understand it, but it must be true and it must be very important. And this is life-changing, culture-transforming stuff. I’m right here on the Inner Circle.’ Nobody knew what he [the pastor] was talking about. Bizarre, I mean bizarre interpretations were coming forth from the pulpit....

”The congregation was given to understand that everything that was being said from the pulpit, that here we are at the central point of the Reconstruction of this country, of indeed the world, and the things that are coming forth from this pulpit you won’t hear anywhere else.... As one Reconstructionist writer put it, ‘I want to save Western Civilization at cost plus ten percent, plus postage and handling....’ “

The White-Wall Tire Sermon

”There was this mysticism coming out of the pulpit. Nobody really understood what was going on. But sometimes it would not get mystical at all. There was one memorable sermon put forth by a deacon--he was really the deacon of the church: there were other deacons, but this was the hammer--and he announced at the beginning and gave a little exposition that the job of the deacon is only to do what the elders tell him to do. He has no discretion outside of what the elders tell him to do. Every word that comes out of his mouth, every action that he performs is in complete subservience to the elders.

”At that point, he launched into a talk about how the rest of us are to submit to the elders. We were given to understand, naturally, that everything that he said, he was saying on the direct authority of the elders of the church because he had just said he can’t say anything, he can’t do anything, apart from their direct command. So everything he said was coming from the elders but it was coming through him. And this was playing it safe.... Prime ministers and presidents do this sort of thing all the time.... That kind of game is played. Well, it was played at this church as well. And so when people objected to this, the elders were able to say that they hadn’t really meant any of this and that they weren’t really apprised of what was going on when, in fact, it was exactly the opposite.

”But the statement was made that we are to submit to every whim of the church leadership. Even to disagree in our thoughts is an excommunicable offense.... So we have to discipline our thoughts and bring them into line with what the elders said.... And the deacon gave a very concrete, you might say rubber meets the road example. He talked about white-wall tires. And he said if you have white-wall tires and an officer of the church comes over to your house and commands you to change them to black-walls, you are required to do so, and any disobedience to that command is rebellion against authority, rebellion against God himself. And you can be excommunicated for that....

”I went up to the deacon afterward and gingerly asked him some questions. I pointed to a man in the congregation who was a policeman....

”I said, ‘If that policeman comes over to my house and tells me to get white-wall tires, I will tell him, with all due respect, to jump in the lake, because he doesn’t have the authority to do that. He is exceeding his authority. And if I tell him to get lost, I’m not rebelling against authority, he is rebelling against authority, against his rightful authority. He is exceeding the law by coming over to me and telling me to do something that he has no right to tell me to do. So he’s the rebel. I’m not the rebel if he is telling me to do something that he doesn’t have the right to.’

”So I said, ‘Does church authority--can you--is it possible for you to exceed your authority? Where’s the line? I want to know at what point in my home I can draw a line and say you can’t cross that. You cross that line and we get into a little dust up here. So where’s the line?’

”And he didn’t answer that. He said, ‘Well, I’ll tell you, you know, if you disagree with the decision of the elders--they tell you to get white-wall tires and you disagree with that, you’re at liberty to go around to other people in the church and find out if they disagree. And if you have enough people that disagree, you can kick out the elder.’

”I said, ‘Well, I’ve got two problems with that. Number one, does everything have to be that extreme? Can’t we negotiate? Is it a choice of complete submitting, letting this iron boot step on my face forever, or I overthrow the authority? Can we negotiate here? Can we talk?’

”And he didn’t say anything about that. He just smiled.

”So I said, ‘Okay, my second problem with that is that while I’m disagreeing, and while I’m going around the church canvassing the church to find out who agrees with me and disagrees with the eldership, I am committing innumerable excommunicable offenses. Every time I think a thought against what the elders have said, I can be excommunicated for that. And certainly going around stirring up trouble, saying let’s kick these guys out, I can be excommunicated for that, right?’

”And he just smiled again. And I went all cold inside....

”I would wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, terrified that I was going to be excommunicated for what I was thinking....

”At that point there was this real uneasy relationship between me and them. I was not on the staff of the church at all but I was, after all, David Chilton. And I wasn’t the most famous member of the church, but people did come to the church to find David Chilton, and I was one of the advertising gimmicks of that church. And here I am going through these intense, gut wrenching struggles over the issue of whether I’m going to be excommunicated simply because of disagreeing over a subject like white-wall tires.”

1984

”But it got worse. There were people who disagreed with school policy.... it had to do with fund raising. We were going to let children go out into the neighborhood and collect money.... Well, there were some people in the church and school who didn’t like that. They said, I tell you what, you come to me and you ask me. If the school needs money, tell me how much you want me to give and I’ll write you a check. But don’t ask me to send my children around to the neighborhood collecting donations from heathens to build up this school....

”Now they did not start a revolution.... They stayed out of it. They didn’t send their children around the neighborhood and on the appointed day, they did not show up. Now I was one of the ones that showed up. I didn’t like it. I didn’t feel comfortable about it, but we went along with it....

”The result of that was they [those who disagreed] began being brought in and interrogated by the elders of the church--interrogating husbands and wives separately, and refusing to allow these proceedings to be tape recorded.... Sometime before this I’d gone out to a bookstore and bought two books that I had read in high school and now was beginning to see the importance of. George Orwell’s Animal Farm and 1984....

”By 1985 I was sending out resumes very discreetly and quietly, begging and pleading with anybody to accept me anywhere. I was willing to do anything. Just get me out of here. There was a real climate of fear.... A family in our church who had moved about 20 miles away-our church was very much into liturgy...--these people moved away and there was an Episcopal Church nearby.... They decided that they would like to go there to church. So they applied for a transfer and got it.... You can’t imagine the shock waves that went through the church at that point. I had people coming up to me...saying, I didn’t know you could get out.

”At this point there was something over 60 families in the church. And that one family moved out. And when people discovered that you could move out, people did so.... When that began to happen, that original couple was denounced from the pulpit in the most extreme terms, that they had left the faith, they weren’t Christian anymore, and going to Hell....

”Perhaps the leading American Theonomist, if I can distinguish that from Reconstruction, but the leading, the most important, the most erudite American Theonomist was very strongly critical of the church there [in Tyler] and yet in his [California] church he routinely excommunicated people for disagreeing with him, excommunicated people for leaving, excommunicated people for transferring to another church in the same denomination. Think about that. You’re in a church and you transfer to another church in the same denomination and the pastor excommunicates you for that.... There were members of our church there who, in escaping from this [Reconstructionist] church, fled to the relative freedom of the Roman Catholic Church. Think about that....”

There is far more in Chilton’s tape than I can review here. If you are at all interested in tracing out the ramifications of Reconstructionism, this would be a good tape to purchase. Chilton is still enthralled by many Reconstructionist ideas, but he has given us a glimpse into the ecclesiastical megalomania of the most famous Reconstructionist church in the world.

May 1994

Editor’s note: After this speech, David Chilton subsequently suffered a heart attack from which he initially recovered and eventually died. One wonders if the terror and desperation he felt in the Tyler Church contributed to his health problems. After his heart attack, Chilton and his lecture were viciously attacked by Gary North, the chief financier of the Tyler Church, both publicly and privately. This editor was threatened in writing with “destruction” by North for publicizing Chilton’s speech. Several former members of the Tyler Church contacted the editor after we published this Review, saying that Chilton had not told the half of it. They were still frightened of the leaders of the Tyler Church years after they had left.

A call for new reset, yes?

I could swear I saw a pseudo- headline alluding to Lavrov calling for a new reset of relations between Russia & USA.

Sure sounds
like a KGB natured promotion for a Hillary presidency in 2016.

Jesuits Rule: How Sad But True

ADDED AUG 1, 2013

By Greg Szymanski

The Jesuit Order always seems to get its way.

From the days of Loyola to the present it never changes.

Hidden control, masterful religious and political propaganda all wrapped up in a nice, neat package of unity through Christian values.

However, sad, most Americans have no idea about Jesuitism and less of an idea of how the Vatican has, from the beginning of our country, controlled our destiny.

And pretty soon the way things are going, not too long from now, not one single personwill know because one by one all the anti Jesuit and Vatican books will be unavailable to the reading public, an illiterate public when it comes to one major question.

That question being: Who are our masters and why is the world falling prey to a One World Order bent on death, destruction and constant poverty, war and violence.

There are many conspiracy theories and internet junkies who ask the same question, answering with half truths like it Scull and Bones who controls the world. Or they say it is the Illuminati bankers or the Bilderburgers or the Jewish Mossad or the CIA and it goes on and on.

But sadly they are all missing the real mark.

And, of course, there are the gatekeepers in the media, placed there by the Vatican and Jesuits, Alex Jones included, whose main purpose is to keep the Jesuit and Vatican historical and present day agenda out of the public’s mind.

It’s their job to keep this hidden group of assassins living in our midst billed only as the great educators, the great thinkers. To keep from the public’s mind from thinking about the true agenda of the Vatican, the Jesuit Order and their political operatives working here and all over the world.

For starters, the Jesuit scholarly base here in the states is Georgetown University, a stone’s throw from the White House. However, for all practical purposes it might as well be the White House since, unknown to most Americans, all of our big political and foreign policy decisions come from there. The Patriot Act, strangely written before 911, was written at Georgetown by one it’s Jesuit trained law professors.

And that is only for starters. It would serve the reader well to go back in history back to the 1920s and 30s, tracing the biography of Jesuit priest and political spy Edmund Walsh, the father of Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service, a place where most if not all of our major foreign diplomats are Jesuit trained to this day.

Then of course we get to the big names in government, jurisprudence and the media and again you will find countless connections to the Vatican and Jesuit Order. In fact, if you do your homework you will find the Founding Fathers were also working for them as well with a hidden agenda not favorable to the American people.

It is a sad fact the Vatican set the course for our country from the beginning and it is even sadder that secret has never really gotten proper public attention. For it is my contention that if it had, the world would be a much better place for everyone except for, of course, for the elite masters who are controlling us all.

And don’t fool yourself there is a small band of evil rulers — our masters and owners — and it all still comes from Rome just like it always has.Nothing has changed and in fact it is worse now then in Roman times.

To prove this all one has to do is research this hidden story and look at all the signs and symbols they have left for all of us to see. Signs like the Statue of Liberty, the Great Seal, the statue on the Capitol Building and many more all throughout Washington DC and the country. If you search land records, Washington DC was originally named Rome and the Potomac was called the Tiber. The land now comprising Washington DC was originally owned by the Carroll family, one of whom was the first Catholic Bishop and one of the richest men to live in the new colonies.

Everything is right before your eyes but if those eyes can’t see what good is looking? What good is reading countless books that lead you off into another rabbit hole.

However, if you follow this Jesuit and Vatican lead, doing your own copious research, you will come to same conclusion I made after researching this very subject since the time I worked in Rome in 1980.

The conclusion is easy and it is called the Vatican-Led New World Order.

Pope Francis has removed a bishop for the second time (PA)

The Pope has removed an Opus Dei bishop from Paraguay.

The Vatican announced today that Pope Francis has removed Bishop Rogelio Ricardo Livieres Plano due to “serious pastoral concerns” and “for the greater good and unity of the Church of Ciudad del Este and episcopal communion in Paraguay.”

In a statement the Vatican said: “After a careful examination of the findings of the Apostolic Visitations made topre the Bishop, dioceses and seminaries of Ciudad del Este, by the Congregation for Bishops and the Congregation for the Clergy, the Holy Father has proceeded with the replacement of Bishop Rogelio Ricardo Livieres Plano. He has appointed Ricardo Jorge Valenzuela Ríos, Bishop of Villarrica del Espíritu Santo, as Apostolic Adminostrator of the now vacant diocese.

“The grave decision taken by the Holy See, under the weight of serious pastoral concerns, is for the greater good and unity of the Church of Ciudad del Este and episcopal communion in Paraguay.

“The Holy Father, in the exercise of his ministry as “the perpetual and visible principle and foundation of unity of both the bishops and of the faithful” (LG 23) calls for the clergy and the entire people of God of Ciudad del Este to accept the Holy See’s decision with the spirit of obedience, docility and an open heart, guided by faith.

“Moreover, he invites the entire Church of Paraguay, led by its pastors, to a serious process of reconciliation and to overcome any factionalism and discord, so that the face of the one Church “purchased with the blood of his own Son” is not wounded and the “flock of Christ” is not deprived of the joy of the Gospel (cf. Acts 20: 28).”

This is a Biblical and historical survey of the development of the Christian church from its founding by Jesus Christ up until the end times.

God's Purpose for His Church

The church is God's appointed agency for the salvation of men. It was organized for service, and its mission is to carry the gospel to the world. From the beginning it has been God's plan that through His church shall be reflected to the world His fullness and His sufficiency. The members of the church, those whom He has called out of darkness into His marvelous light, are to show forth His glory. The church is the repository of the riches of the grace of Christ; and through the church will eventually be made manifest, even to "the principalities and powers in heavenly places," the final and full display of the love of God. Ephesians 3:10.

Many and wonderful are the promises recorded in the Scriptures regarding the church. "Mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people." Isaiah 56:7. "I will make them and the places round about My hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing." "And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more. Thus shall they know that I the Lord their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are My people, saith the Lord God. And ye My flock, the flock of My pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord God." Ezekiel 34:26, 29-31.

"Ye are My witnesses, saith the Lord, and My servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He: before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the Lord; and beside Me there is no Saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have showed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are My witnesses." "I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house." Isaiah 43:10-12; 42:6, 7.

"In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages; that thou mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for He that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall He guide them. And I will make all My mountains a way, and My highways shall be exalted. . . .

"Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the Lord hath comforted His people, and will have mercy upon His afflicted. But Zion said, The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of My hands; thy walls are continually before Me." Isaiah 49:8-16.

The church is God's fortress. His city of refuge, which He holds in a revolted world. Any betrayal of the church is treachery to Him who has bought mankind with the blood of His only-begotten Son. From the beginning, faithful souls have constituted the church on earth. In every age the Lord has had His watchmen, who have borne a faithful testimony to the generation in which they lived. These sentinels gave the message of warning; and when they were called to lay off their armor, others took up the work. God brought these witnesses into covenant relation with Himself, uniting the church on earth with the church in heaven. He has sent forth His angels to minister to His church, and the gates of hell have not been able to prevail against His people.

Through centuries of persecution, conflict, and darkness, God has sustained His church. Not one cloud has fallen upon it that He has not prepared for; not one opposing force has risen to counterwork His work, that He has not foreseen. All has taken place as He predicted. He has not left His church forsaken, but has traced in prophetic declarations what would occur, and that which His Spirit inspired the prophets to foretell has been brought about. All His purposes will be fulfilled. His law is linked with His throne, and no power of evil can destroy it. Truth is inspired and guarded by God; and it will triumph over all opposition.

During ages of spiritual darkness the church of God has been as a city set on a hill. From age to age, through successive generations, the pure doctrines of heaven have been unfolding within its borders. Enfeebled and defective as it may appear, the church is the one object upon which God bestows in a special sense His supreme regard. It is the theater of His grace, in which He delights to reveal His power to transform hearts.

"Whereunto," asked Christ, "shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?" Mark 4:30. He could not employ the kingdoms of the world as a similitude. In society He found nothing with which to compare it. Earthly kingdoms rule by the ascendancy of physical power; but from Christ's kingdom every carnal weapon, every instrument of coercion, is banished. This kingdom is to uplift and ennoble humanity. God's church is the court of Holy life, filled with varied gifts and endowed with the Holy Spirit. The members are to find their happiness in the happiness of those whom they help and bless.

Wonderful is the work which the Lord designs to accomplish through His church, that His name may be glorified. A picture of this work is given in Ezekiel's vision of the river of healing: "These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed. And it shall come to pass, that everything that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: . . . and by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine." Ezekiel 47:8-12.

From the beginning God has wrought through His people to bring blessing to the world. To the ancient Egyptian nation God made Joseph a fountain of life. Through the integrity of Joseph the life of that whole people was preserved. Through Daniel God saved the life of all the wise men of Babylon. And these deliverances are as object lessons; they illustrate the spiritual blessings offered to the world through connection with the God whom Joseph and Daniel worshiped. Everyone in whose heart Christ abides, everyone who will show forth His love to the world, is a worker together with God for the blessing of humanity. As he receives from the Saviour grace to impart to others, from his whole being flows forth the tide of spiritual life.

God chose Israel to reveal His character to men. He desired them to be as wells of salvation in the world. To them were committed the oracles of heaven, the revelation of God's will. In the early days of Israel the nations of the world, through corrupt practices, had lost the knowledge of God. They had once known Him; but because "they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, . . . their foolish heart was darkened." Romans 1:21. Yet in His mercy God did not blot them out of existence. He purposed to give them an opportunity of again becoming acquainted with Him through His chosen people. Through the teachings of the sacrificial service, Christ was to be uplifted before all nations, and all who would look to Him should live. Christ was the foundation of the Jewish economy. The whole system of types and symbols was a compacted prophecy of the gospel, a presentation in which were bound up the promises of redemption.

But the people of Israel lost sight of their high privileges as God's representatives. They forgot God and failed to fulfill their holy mission. The blessings they received brought no blessing to the world. All their advantages they appropriated for their own glorification. They shut themselves away from the world in order to escape temptation. The restrictions that God had placed upon their association with idolaters as a means of preventing them from conforming to the practices of the heathen, they used to build up a wall of separation between themselves and all other nations. They robbed God of the service He required of them, and they robbed their fellow men of religious guidance and a holy example.

Priests and rulers became fixed in a rut of ceremonialism. They were satisfied with a legal religion, and it was impossible for them to give to others the living truths of heaven. They thought their own righteousness all-sufficient, and did not desire that a new element should be brought into their religion. The good will of God to men they did not accept as something apart from themselves, but connected it with their own merit because of their good works. The faith that works by love and purifies the soul could find no place for union with the religion of the Pharisees, made up of ceremonies and the injunctions of men.

Of Israel God declared: "I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto Me?" Jeremiah 2:21. "Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself." Hosea 10:1. "And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt Me and My vineyard. What could have been done more to My vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?

"And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to My vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down: and I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah His pleasant plant: and He looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry." Isaiah 5:3-7. "The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them." Ezekiel 34:4.

The Jewish leaders thought themselves too wise to need instruction, too righteous to need salvation, too highly honored to need the honor that comes from Christ. The Saviour turned from them to entrust to others the privileges they had abused and the work they had slighted. God's glory must be revealed, His word established. Christ's kingdom must be set up in the world. The salvation of God must be made known in the cities of the wilderness; and the disciples were called to do the work that the Jewish leaders had failed to do.

The Acts of the Apostles, pp. 9-16.

Happy Sabbath

10 Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.
11 And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.
12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them.
13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.
14 But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.
15 Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;
16 Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.
17 Nevertheless mine eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness.
18 But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:
19 I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;
20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God.
21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.
22 Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.
23 I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;
24 Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.
25 Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;
26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the Lord.

The Sins of Babylon

Archbishop Jozef Wesolowski, the Vatican's ambassador to the Dominican Republic, offers mass in Santo Domingo in an Aug. 2009 file photograph. The Vatican on September 23, 2014 arrested Wesolowski, and accused of paying for sex with children while he was a papal ambassador in the Dominican Republic. Reuters/Landov

I saw that since the second angel proclaimed the fall of the churches, they have been growing more and more corrupt. They bear the name of being Christ's followers; yet it is impossible to distinguish them from the world. Ministers take their texts from the Word of God, but preach smooth things. To this the natural heart feels no objection. It is only the spirit and power of the truth and the salvation of Christ that are hateful to the carnal heart. There is nothing in the popular ministry that stirs the wrath of Satan, makes the sinner tremble, or applies to the heart and conscience the fearful realities of a judgment soon to come. Wicked men are generally pleased with a form of piety without true godliness, and they will aid and support such a religion.

Said the angel, "Nothing less than the whole armor of righteousness can enable man to overcome the powers of darkness and retain the victory over them. Satan has taken full possession of the churches as a body.

The sayings and doings of men are dwelt upon instead of the plain, cutting truths of the Word of God. The spirit and friendship of the world are at enmity with God. When the truth in its simplicity and strength, as it is in Jesus, is brought to bear against the spirit of the world, it at once awakens the spirit of persecution. Very many who profess to be Christians have not known God. The natural heart has not been changed, and the carnal mind remains at enmity with God. They are Satan's faithful servants, notwithstanding they have assumed another name."

I saw that since Jesus left the holy place of the heavenly sanctuary and entered within the second veil, the churches have been filling up with every unclean and hateful bird. I saw great iniquity and vileness in the churches; yet their members profess to be Christians. Their profession, their prayers, and their exhortations are an abomination in the sight of God. Said the angel, "God will not smell in their assemblies. Selfishness, fraud, and deceit are practiced by them without the reprovings of conscience. And over all these evil traits they throw the cloak of religion." I was shown the pride of the nominal churches. God is not in their thoughts; their carnal minds dwell upon themselves; they decorate their poor mortal bodies, and then look upon themselves with satisfaction and pleasure. Jesus and the angels look upon them in anger. Said the angel, "Their sins and pride have reached unto heaven. Their portion is prepared. Justice and judgment have slumbered long, but will soon awake. Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, saith the Lord." The fearful threatenings of the third angel are to be realized, and all the wicked are to drink of the wrath of God. An innumerable host of evil angels are spreading over the whole land and crowding the churches. These agents of Satan look upon the religious bodies with exultation, for the cloak of religion covers the greatest crime and iniquity.

All heaven beholds with indignation human beings, the workmanship of God, reduced by their fellow men to the lowest depths of degradation and placed on a level with the brute creation. Professed followers of that dear Saviour whose compassion was ever moved at the sight of human woe, heartily engage in this enormous and grievous sin, and deal in slaves and souls of men. Human agony is carried from place to place and bought and sold. Angels have recorded it all; it is written in the book. The tears of the pious bondmen and bondwomen, of fathers, mothers, and children, brothers and sisters, are all bottled up in heaven. God will restrain His anger but little longer. His wrath burns against this nation and especially against the religious bodies that have sanctioned this terrible traffic and have themselves engaged in it. Such injustice, such oppression, such sufferings, are looked upon with heartless indifference by many professed followers of the meek and lowly Jesus. And many of them can themselves inflict, with hateful satisfaction, all this indescribable agony; and yet they dare to worship God. It is solemn mockery; Satan exults over it and reproaches Jesus and His angels with such inconsistency, saying, with hellish triumph, "Such are Christ's followers!"

These professed Christians read of the sufferings of the martyrs, and tears course down their cheeks. They wonder that men could ever become so hardened as to practice such cruelty toward their fellow men. Yet those who think and speak thus are at the same time holding human beings in slavery. And this is not all; they sever the ties of nature and cruelly oppress their fellow men. They can inflict most inhuman torture with the same relentless cruelty manifested by papists and heathen toward Christ's followers. Said the angel, "It will be more tolerable for the heathen and for papists in the day of the execution of God's judgment than for such men." The cries of the oppressed have reached unto heaven, and angels stand amazed at the untold, agonizing sufferings which man, formed in the image of his Maker, causes his fellow man. Said the angel, "The names of the oppressors are written in blood, crossed with stripes, and flooded with agonizing, burning tears of suffering. God's anger will not cease until He has caused this land of light to drink the dregs of the cup of His fury, until He has rewarded unto Babylon double. Reward her even as she rewarded you, double unto her double according to her works; in the cup which she hath filled, fill to her double."

I saw that the slave master [See appendix.] will have to answer for the soul of his slave whom he has kept in ignorance; and the sins of the slave will be visited upon the master. God cannot take to heaven the slave who has been kept in ignorance and degradation, knowing nothing of God or the Bible, fearing nothing but his master's lash, and holding a lower position than the brutes. But He does the best thing for him that a compassionate God can do. He permits him to be as if he had not been, while the master must endure the seven last plagues and then come up in the second resurrection and suffer the second, most awful death. Then the justice of God will be satisfied.
