A parent, who's part of a group that believes dinosaurs are one big lie, is getting international attention after making an angry post on a parenting site.

The writer starts the rant with, "I am getting sick and tired of dinosaurs being forced on our children."

The page long diatribe against dinosaurs on the popular parenting site mumsnet.com quickly set off a flurry of mockery and went viral, the Mirror reports.

The writer thinks the scientific evidence for dinosaurs is scant and also claims they set a bad example for children. The writer illustrates the point with an anecdote:
"At my children's school, several children were left in tears after one of their classmates (who had evidently been exposed to dinosaurs) became bestially-minded and ran around the classroom roaring and pretending to be a dinosaur. Then he bit three children on the face."
The writer even opposes toy dinosaurs:
"Recently my sister foolishly gave my two youngest some dinosaur toys for Christmas. After telling her to get out of my house, I burnt the dinosaurs. My children were delighted because they know that dinosaurs are evil. I am fortunate that my family has been very supportive, and has disowned my children's former aunt."
The writer is part of a Facebook group called "Christians Against Dinosaurs" which has nearly 4,000 members. The writer claims to be working to remove dinosaurs from school curriculum.

In the United States, many Evangelical Christians believe in dinosaurs, but they believe dinosaurs shared the Earth with humans. However, scientific evidence indicates a mass extinction event wiped out most dinosaurs 65 million years ago. Humans didn't start evolving until six million years ago.

Most of the other parents on mumsnet found the anti-dinosaur post funny. One other writer posted, "Hahahaha... Maybe the big skeletons are the scientific community having fun with papier mache?"

Another writer said, "But what about Barney? Will nobody think of Barney???!"

The original poster responded to several posts leading to additional mockery.

"...To be honest, I've never really spent much time considering the possibility that dinosaurs could be a complete hoax. First off, this would mean that all skeletal remains in museums and elsewhere would have had to be "manufactured." To think that a secret society could produce these seemingly possible and accurate biological frames of giant "prehistoric" creatures is almost as incredible as the existence of dinosaurs, themselves. And if it is all a 'giant hoax,' no pun intended, why have not there been more naysayers and whistleblowers along the recent historical timeline? With that said, this has definitely raised my level of interest and even has me now considering that... what if it really is all a giant hoax. There is no question about it that dinosaur existence has been used to promote evolution and seems like nearly a perfect and reasonable fit for the theory. If there is a red flag, this would be it. We know that the theory of evolution has been debunked by many credible scientist, archeologists, logicians, and reason itself, and that dinosaurs have been central in the argument. Is that motive enough to consider that the fabrication would reach to this extreme? Or is there a simpler answer to the whole conundrum? Were lions created to be carnivorous predators in the Garden with Adam and Eve or were they originally unthreatening herbivores? Were these monstrous, long-toothed creatures (dinosaurs) originally gentle giants that were no threat to anything but a green and luscious jungle and therefor could have lived right along with early man, just like the lion that found his/her way to the ark? The problem then becomes, where are they now? Did Noah not include them in the acceptable species to survive the flood or did they survive the flood only to die off or be killed off by something or someone after the flood? Hmmm? Interesting! That just might be the answer. That post-diluvian man hunted these giants down for sport just like they did the buffalo in North America, nearly wiping them out. I'd like to think the dinosaurs existed. There is something exquisitely divine about massive creatures such as the elephant, giraffe, and whale, especially when we observe their docile behavior around the much smaller and frail human. Would you put it past God to be that creative, to endow earth with a species of monstrous-looking beast that were as tame as an ox along side of man, as gentle as a lion lying next to a lamb?

Were you aware that most of the so-called fossils of Dinosaurs that you find in the Museums you alluded to, are not actual bones? But, are instead plaster and are constructed by the archeologists, or perhaps the curators of those Museums. Normally, one or two bones are found and the Archeologist will invent what the Dinosaur looked like, what it ate; from there they construct the whole Dinosauer according to their impression.

On the other hand, I believe the problem is not the bones we see in Museums that some Christian folks resent, but rather the statements associated with these "fossils", stating for example: 'this animal lived 20 million years ago'. That is what flies in the face of most thinking skeptics. What is the Carbon Dating proof of a fossil one million years old?

According to The Bible the Earth is roughly 6 thousand years old. Yet, these college educated "experts" claim that Dinosaurs lived millions of years ago.

So, who do (SHOULD) you believe the experts or the Word of God Almighty?
