Job description
Responsibilities


Assist the Site Supervisor in leading the Cabling and Infrastructure Build Team in their performance of each Data Center build/retrofit project, including allocation of resources, task assignments and ensuring the quality of their installation, per design and completed on schedule.
Develop early equipment procurement recommendations and monitor timelines.
Determine all hardware and materials required to complete each build/retrofit project and work with chosen suppliers via SCO to procure.
Create Bill of Material for site requirements.
Perform installations on an as-needed basis and the example in which the Team is to perform.
Coordinate schedule and impact assessments with Operations and Construction teams.
Oversee operational activities such as Rack Moves/Adds/Changes and capacity upgrades.
Perform Quality Assurance audits to ensure DCC work meets standards.
Identify any process improvements.
Coordinating internal staff and consultant teams as required.
Provide weekly project status report (financial, schedule, quality).
Responds to operational escalations and emergencies as required.
Assist in developing network cable/rack/cabinet installation processes and standards.
Ensure installation/tests are documented in accordance with procedures.Requirements:

Experience in the design coordination and installation of structured cabling solutions and seismic support systems for large-scale Data Centers and telecommunication facilities.
Experienced in Fiber Optic troubleshooting and performance testing.
Training and certifications in Network Cabling and Telecommunications standards for copper and fiber per IEEE/ANSI/TIA/EIA and BICSI standards are strongly desired.
Background in Project Management and delivering on time, within budget and to applicable standards.
Practiced in working with industry standard construction build codes and safety requirements including OSHA, ITIL, NFPA and C7 (Low Voltage Systems) Licensing.
Experience in closely supervising contractors, constructors and multiple suppliers all towards meeting the same build objectives.
Effective negotiation skills and ability to provide solutions to complex problems under pressure.
Must be fluent in English and have effective communications skills.
Must be familiar with MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Industry: Internet
