Apologies, Apologies, Apologies

The Tyranny of Political Correctness

In the last few days there have been 3 outstanding instances of  'hate speech':

1. Rep. Don Young Apologizes for ‘Wetbacks’ Comment
Rep. Don Young, who used the term “wetbacks” to describe Mexican immigrants in a radio interview Thursday night, issued a full-scale apology this afternoon for using the derogatory slur after a barrage of criticism from...

3. Michigan Republican Dave Agema says he is refusing to resign after promoting an article that said “part of the homosexual agenda is to get the public to affirm their filthy lifestyle."

Here begins a 'cluster' of Apologies.  Isn't that nice?  After all the insensitive words, apologies.

Ben Carson: ‘I apologize’ for gay remark

By BREANNA EDWARDS | 3/29/13 2:47 PM EDT

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson apologized Friday for comments he made about gay marriage on Sean Hannity’s TV show earlier this week.

“I think in terms of what was said on Sean Hannity’s show, that was taken completely out of context and completely misunderstood in terms of what I was trying to say,” Carson told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell. “As a Christian, I have a duty to love all people and that includes people who have other sexual orientations, and I certainly do, and never had any intention of offending anyone… If anyone was offended, I apologize to you.

The John Hopkins doctor came under scrutiny when he appeared to liken homosexuality to pedophilia and bestiality, sparking the outrage of the LGBT community.

“My thoughts are that marriage is between a man and a woman. It’s a well-established fundamental pillar of society and no group, be they gays, be they NAMBLA, be they people who believe in bestiality, it doesn’t matter what they are, they don’t get to change the definition,” the doctor, who is the director of pediatric neurosurgery, said on Hannity’s show Tuesday.

His comments also led to a petition by students at Johns Hopkins University, who want him to be removed as commencement speaker, as was initially planned. Students, colleagues and the media alike have harshly criticized Carson for his choice of words.

(Also on POLITICO: Ben Carson '16? Incredibly slim chance)

“They make him look nasty, petty, and ill-informed. It doesn’t tell us anything about his amazing abilities as a surgeon,” Professor Todd Shepard, co-director of the university’s Program for the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality, said in a statement to Media Matters. “It does remind us, however, that those abilities do not mean we should listen to what he says in any other domain.”

Carson said that he would “absolutely” withdraw as commencement speaker if necessary, saying the “last thing” he would want to do is “rain on their parade.”

However, the doctor remained firmly rooted in his belief that the term “marriage” should not be extended to same-sex couples, although he said the couples should be treated “kindly” and have whatever legal agreements they desire in order to transfer property and have visitation rights, among other rights.

(Also on POLITICO: Conservative pundits split on gay marriage)

“Marriage is a very sacred thing and we need to maintain it as a sacred thing. When I say we don’t want to change it or degrade it by calling everything marriage, that’s not aimed at any particular group,” he said. “But the fact of the matter is, the Bible and God have set very specific standards. It’s very clear what’s being said. God doesn’t change, man changes. Our duty is to allow for that change and to still love them and in terms of what happens with them, that’s a decision that’s up to God, that’s not our decision.”

Then there were four

Black Popes Adolfo Nicholas (current) Peter Hans Kolvenbach (former)

Pope Francis meets Pope emeritus Benedict XV

Jorge Bergoglio was elected Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church on 3/13/2013, and Nicolas Pachon was elected Superior General (Black Pope) on January 14, 2008. With the abdication of Joseph Ratzinger on February 11 of this year, and Peter Hans Kolvenbach's (the previous Superior General of the Jesusits) resignation in Janurary of 2008;  There are now 4.
Joseph Ratzinger is Pope Emeritus in Rome, and Peter Han Kolvenbach is retired (in Lebanon).  That equals 2 White Popes and 2 Black Popes, at once in totality.

"If these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out."

37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Luke 19: 37-40.
.

As I observe the latest global geopolitical movements, the turmoil, the deception; I wonder if the Lord's Coming is near?

This week a new Pontiff was inaugurated at the Vatican, the whole world was captivated by the Catholic - universal religion, and became the same (habemus papam)just like many Americans become Irish for a day on St. Patrick's Day... On the same day, VP Joe Biden attended the festivities in Rome, President Obama began a Holy Land Tour. What a dichotomy? With all the commotion and the going to and fro... Yesterday, I read a meticulous article Who Are the Jesuits? Why the First Jesuit Pope Could Signify the ‘New Evangelization’ of Christians, and was reminded of Jesus's words:  I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.  Thank God there is still a faithful few!

Today there are self proclaimed groups that believe they are God's chosen people just like there was such a people in the days of Jesus. Yet, today's self-righteous professors do not recognize nor represent Jesus the Saviour, for they would rather remain silent at a time like this, and yet, the stones are crying out

Coming to think of it there are some folks that have taken a majestic book titled "The Great Controversy", and have mass produced for worldwide distribution an abridged pamphlet that should be called "The Great Compromise".   Where is the rest of the book? Who ate the book and what happened to the rest of it?  It's the new Reader's Digest

The Heavenly Father once reminded the Prophet Elijah that He had reserved to Himself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal; So, likewise today He has faithful servants who will stand up for Almighty God and give a true testimony while most of the world renders homage; still others remain silent..

It is not without reason that the claim has been put forth that Catholicism is now almost like Protestantism. There has been a change; but the change is in Protestants, not in Romanists. Catholicism indeed resembles the Protestantism that now exists; but it is far removed from Protestantism as it was in the days of Cranmer, Ridley, Knox, and other reformers.
-The Spirit Of Prophecy Volume 4, P. 388

While the Catholic Agenda is in full effect, a Jesuit is the Pope, and the Black Pope looms in the shadows... Yes, the stones are crying out, and the Lord would have it this way; for no one has a corner on the Gospel, or will prepare a way for the return of the Son of God unless they are doing everything He instructed them, especially identifying apostasy and idolatry.  The Lord has reserved a faithful remnant that will always put aside fear of what men may do to them for speaking the truth, so that they will say the things that have to be said.   The Stones Are Crying Out.  What a shame that these same stones will also take the place of those that think they are the children of God? These Stones are the Eleventh Hour Workers. Hallelujah!  The Lord will always have a people.

Waiting on Smoke?

Now that the Conclave is in session at the Vatican in Rome, many people are waiting for a sign that they have chosen a new Pontifex Maximus.

Are you one of those that are waiting for a smoke signal?

It has only been 8 years since this process was last conducted; Yet, not only Catholics, but, so many others around the world are mesmerized by this event, and are also attracted to the election (or selection) of a new Bishop of Rome.
Not in vain does the Bible state in Revelation 13:3: ..."and all the world wondered after the beast."

Cuban Medicine Killed Hugo Chavez

By Joel Hirst

Published February 28, 2013

Fox News Latino

There is perhaps no worse political disaster for the government of Cuba than the death of President Hugo Chávez of Venezuela. After the Soviet Union collapsed and ceased to subsidize the Castro regime, the government of Cuba went through a very difficult period. That is, until President Chávez picked up the tab.

While the real amount of the subsidy is unknown, Venezuela does send more than 115,000 barrels of oil a day to the refinery at Cienfuegos and pays for tens of thousands of Cuban doctors and sports trainers who are deployed all over Latin America. The true amount is probably significantly north of five billion dollars a year.

If there was anybody that could expect the very best Cuban medicine had to offer, it was the Castro's five billion dollar man. This makes the upcoming death of Chávez that much more embarrassing for the Castros, because the velocity at which the strongman has deteriorated is due in no small part to the incompetence of the Cuban doctors at Cimeq - the hospital of choice for the communist party leaders.

According to Dr. Jose Marquina, who has become well known for having the only information on the Venezuelan president's condition that has proved over time to be accurate, the Cuban doctors are at least partially at fault for the Venezuelan leader's imminent demise. He has said that the Cubans misdiagnosed the cancer, treating Chávez with chemotherapy and other treatments designed for the wrong type of cancer. This made the disease resistant and impossible to treat, while causing other complications which affected not only Chávez's life expectancy but also the quality of what life remained.

If President Chávez, with an unlimited wallet and access to the best Cuban medicine has to offer —as the VIP of Havana's Cimeq hospital, the hospital of the communist party leadership and Fidel himself — was assassinated by Cuban mal-practice, it begs the question what can ordinary Cubans hope for from their dilapidated dictatorship?

For Americans, subject for years to endless waves of Cuban propaganda through movies like Michael Moore's "Sicko," among so many others, at very least we now know the truth about the island dictatorship's archaic medical infrastructure. Maybe now we can turn that particular page in Cuba's ongoing propaganda war.

March came in like a lion

March came in like a lying.

The Sequester (or Automatic Budget Cuts) is finally here and I am so scared.

With all the fear mongering begun in the Fall of 2008, then the Jobless Recovery that followed soon afterwards; I am so tired of the gimmicks used by the Poli-tricksians in Washington.
RECENTLY, it was the the Debt Ceiling, before (or was it after?) that it was the Fiscal Cliff;  It's all so exhausting.  Now, we have the dreaded Sequester and the pundits will beat this dead horse until it gets up and drinks the water.  Frankly, I am weary of the Hegelian Dialectics.  Meanwhile, March came in as a lion and the NCAA boys will soon be playing 24 o 7 around the clock until they reach the finals;  This year the Washington Congressmen and  the Washington General will play act a la Harlem Globetrotters.
BTW: "I knew Meadowlark Lemon, and Mr. President you are no Meadowlark Lemon".

Had enough Pistorius?

“Notorious Pistorius”

Have we had enough of the play by play coverage?

If you check the news every so often, I'm sure you have heard of the Pistorius Case.
For the last few weeks this story has been at the top of the headlines without a doubt.
Since the Pistorius crime took place in South Africa...Why is this story receiving so much coverage?

If you are like me you are fed up with this ongoing minute by minute, day by day coverage.
Have you had your fill of this hype?

The media produces these idols, and then they are mesmerized as these stars fall in disgrace.

Remember the Petraeus Affair?
Remember how the General was lauded unceasingly during the early days of the Afghanistan - Iraq Invasions?  How eventually he was dismissed in shame for having had an inappropriate relationship? It was a salacious issue something the media relishes...

What do I see in common between Pistorius and Petraeus cases?
Mostly, that the names sound Dutch to me.
Pistorius might be an Afrikaner, while Petraeus is of Dutch descent.
Also, both men were heavily promoted by a media that grooms and idolizes certain people.

On a lighter note:
If you've had enough of Pistorius?
Are you ready for the Pistolius rigmarole?

Big Brother Wears Google Glasses

WEEKEND EDITION FEBRUARY 22-24, 2013

An Orwellian Looking Glass

by ALYSSA ROHRICHT

In 2014, for a mere $1,500, you can literally have Big Brother strapped to your retinas. It isn’t marketed that way, of course. Instead, Google Glass is marketed as making “augmented reality” a part of our every day lives. And while Google’s mantra may be “Don’t Be Evil” (though the company’s own morality is questionable at best), you can be assured that the government, the Secret Service, and corporations are chomping at the bit to get ahold of this veritable gold mine of information.

“Imagine your brain being augmented by Google,” Google CEO and co-founder Larry Page said in a 2004 interview. And that’s now something we no longer have to imagine. In a teaser-video for Google Glass, we’re shown the viewer flying an airplane, playing sports, ice sculpting, and playing with a dog, all the while the glasses display the time, the temperature, and incoming phone calls in the upper right view frame of the glasses-wearer. The glasses take instant photos, videos, and even display information from the internet, including translating text and an instant GPS feature.

It is hard not to make the connection between Google Glass and George Orwell‘s Big Brother lurking around every corner of the dystopian novel. In Orwell’s nightmarish future world, Big Brother – via telescreens that can never be turned off – can literally see into every space of the city. He is in your bed room, at work, on the street, and peering down every hallway. With Google Glass, Big Brother won’t need a telescreen and he won’t need to spy on citizens. Instead, citizens will do the spying for him. Google Glass will constantly be gathering real-time information about your every single movement. What you see, what you hear, where you go and how you get there, who you speak with and what about, what you eat, drink, purchase, what you research, what you read on the street and in books and even what you do in the privacy of your home.

Gold mine is an understatement. Advertisers and corporations have been data mining for years, and we already give them most of this information through what we type on search engines, the websites we visit, and even through our smart phones and GPS devices. And they’ve been using that information to target us with tailored advertisements expertly based on our patterns of interests ripped directly from that information. Google Glass doesn’t necessarily do anything new, but it is the ease with which we are offering up our data on a silver platter that is transforming the data mining world. We aren’t just inviting these companies – and furthermore, the government – to view our thoughts, patterns, and consumer habits when we access the web. Now we’re inviting them into our private lives even further and literally placing them at the forefront of everything we do by affixing them directly in front of our faces 24/7.

Obviously, I’m not the first to criticize this new gadget, nor am I the first to see the glaring connection to our impending Orwellian future. Mic Wright writes in The Kernel that “Project Glass is the telescreen made real, strapped directly onto your face, pumping adverts into your retina, encouraging you to perpetually jones for more information in a way that will make today’s Twitter addicts seem slothful and non-reactive.” And it is true. We are not only giving up our last semblances of privacy, we are also succumbing even further to our ever-growing need to be “tapped-in” to the interweb and the endless stream of useless information it offers us.

The ramifications of the ease of accessibility for government and security agencies is even more frightening, especially in the face of the recent Justice Department “white paper” obtained by NBC earlier this month detailing the legal justifications that the Obama Administration has claimed for the targeting and killing of American citizens without trial. The paper was written in an attempt to legitimize the 2011 drone killings of three U.S. citizens in Yemen, including Samir Khan and Anwar al-Awlaki, and later Abdulrahman, al-Awlaki’s 16-year-old son. The paper argues that the targeted killings of U.S. citizens are justified and legal under U.S. law if a threat is “imminent” (though for a specific attack to be imminent does not mean that it must currently be under way at the time), a high-level official has provided evidence that the person in question may be a threat, and if capture is difficult. The incredibly vague memo leaves much room for interpretation, and of course, this is intentional. When questioned about the right to due process under the Constitution, General Eric Holder responded in March of 2012 saying,

“Some have argued that the President is required to get permission from a federal court before taking action against a United States citizen who is a senior operational leader of al Qaeda or associated forces. This is simply not accurate. “Due process” and “judicial process” are not one and the same, particularly when it comes to national security. The Constitution guarantees due process, not judicial process.”

Basically, if the Executive Branch says you’re guilty, that’s all the due process you need. Never mind a court, a trial by jury, or the notion that you’re innocent until proven guilty. The word of our government should be all that we require for any legal justifications.

The prospects for the information that Google Glass can provide to our government, which now reserves the right to detain us without charge (under the National Defense Authorization Act) and even immediately and covertly put an order out for our deaths, are terrifying, to say the least.

“In the past no government had the power to keep its citizens under constant surveillance. The invention of print, however, made it easier to manipulate public opinion, and the film and the radio carried the process further. With the development of television, and the technical advance which made it possible to receive and transmit simultaneously on the same instrument, private life came to an end.”

This dire prophecy is from Orwell’s 1984 and never before has this statement rang so true as today. As Wright wrote in his piece, in a way, Google Glasses are something “grimly inevitable.” It is not surprising that technology and access to the web has finally made the push not just to the tips of our fingertips but literally to right before our eyes at every moment. Not surprising, but worthy of resistance nonetheless. Wright notes,

“What will be lost with the proliferation of Google glasses, and what will be gained? Project Glass will not materially improve our lives. It will improve Google’s databases and make it easier to sell, sell, sell us more products and services. Ultimately, whatever the utopian rhetoric of Google’s cash-rich, sense-light engineering team, Project Glass will make you the easiest piece of meat to market to in history”

“BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU,” Orwell wrote in 1984. For years, we’ve carried Big Brother around in our pockets, willingly giving up our information on the web and through our phones. Now, as those in the tech world clamor to be one of the lucky “bold, creative individuals” to get to try out Google Glass for free and before the wide-release, we will lose our last vestiges of privacy. Facecrime is no longer just a term in a book to describe an illegal act given away by a facial expression. Now, it has become our reality – our “augmented” reality.

Obama's Reelection Validates America's Spiritual Apostasy and Moral Decline

By William Owens, Jr.
February 16, 2013
NewsWithViews.com

Nothing is more repulsive to God than having the highest ranks of a nation’s leadership – a nation that He providentially brought forth – refuse to acknowledge the continual need for His wisdom, mercy and guidance in every sector of society. Even worse is to persist in rejecting Him in the midst of dismal failure, thus confirming that such a nation has utterly rejected God.

The recent presidential inauguration was a present-day rebellion of kings and nations who reigned before us. It is an affront to a holy God. The event was replete with pious pomp, snobbery, and scoffs at God’s very existence, as demonstrated by Obama’s praise as the Lesbian and Gay Band Association marched by during the Inaugural Parade and his public statement against traditional marriage when he advocated same sex relationships. “Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law," he said during his inaugural address, "for if we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal as well." Vice President Biden also confirmed this fist-to-God arrogance by declaring, “I spent too much time with all of you not to know you feel it with every fiber in your being that there’s nothing – nothing – this country is incapable of.”

While the inauguration of “King” Obama was an event celebrated within the natural realm of America, it was also a clear message released within the realm of the spiritual: JUDGMENT. You see, Christians might be mocked and called “weird,” but historical documents and evidence prove that we have always been correct regarding history. Because there is no intelligent response or historic evidence to argue otherwise, the critics must claim, “He casteth out devils with devils.” This truth goes back to biblical times when the Pharisees were confronted with the truth of Jesus’ holiness. The evidence was overwhelming. He could work miracles, heal the sick, feed the multitudes, and even resurrect the dead. The only way they could feel justified in their rebellious attitude toward Jesus laying claim as God’s son was to demonize and eventually kill him (or so they thought.) Their illogical response was, “He casteth out devils with devils.” They refused to acknowledge Him as God, and thus, rejected their godly heritage to the detriment of their tiny nation, Israel. Remember, He laid down His life and then He rose again.

Today, the only way non-believers in America can justify the rejection of our godly heritage and the hand of providence on America’s DNA is by reverting to the same course of action: accuse the godly of phobias, narrow-mindedness, and being out of touch with the feelings of others. Those who refuse to compromise with historic evidence make powerful claims that a new day of tolerance – of the need to get along – has arrived. They scrub away historic evidence of the fall of previous nations when immorality, rejection of God from the Public Square, and homosexuality became validated by law. But alas, it will not work, no matter how many toasts are given and executive orders are enacted while good men do nothing. Just as Jesus raised the dead to show that He had life in himself, God will judge America to show that our country’s life has always been in Him.

History speaks clearly about the presence of God in America’s origins.

The Continental Congress, in its first session on September 6, 1774, passed this resolution: "Resolved, that the Rev. Mr. Duché be desired to open Congress tomorrow morning with prayer, at Carpenter's Hall, at 9 o'clock."

The following day, Duché's prayer pleaded: "O Lord! our heavenly Father, high and mighty, King of kings, and Lord of lords, who dost from thy throne behold all the dwellers on earth, and reignest with power supreme and uncontrolled over all kingdoms, empires, and governments. Look down in mercy, we beseech thee, on these our American States who have fled to thee from the rod of the oppressor, and thrown themselves on thy gracious protection, desiring to be henceforth dependent only on thee … All this we ask in the name, and through the merits of Jesus Christ thy Son and our Savior. Amen" (Thatcher's Military Biography, p. 121).

Benjamin Franklin stated in a speech to the Continental Convention of 1787: "We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings, that 'except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain who build it.' I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without his concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel." (The Works of Benjamin Franklin, by John Bigelow, p. 377)

Decades later, John Adams confirmed his conviction of God’s eternal footprint on America, the original intent of those formative years, in an 1813 letter to Thomas Jefferson: “The general Principles, on which the Fathers Achieved Independence, were the only Principles in which that beautiful Assembly of young Gentlemen could Unite…Now I will avow, that I then believed, and now believe, that those general Principles of Christianity, are as eternal and immutable, as the Existence and Attributes of God" (John Adams to Thomas Jefferson, June 28, 1813, from Quincy in The Adams-Jefferson Letters).

Even today, many people see the presence of God in our origins. In an online commentary dated July 2, 2009, John Miller states, “America's Declaration of Independence is as much a declaration of dependence on Divine Providence as it is a declaration of independence from an oppressive monarch.”

Truth is not subjective to our interpretations. Gravity does not require a vote to work; if you throw a rock off a cliff, it will soar downward, no matter if we want it to or not. That’s gravity. Likewise, truth is not what we think it to be, want it to be or will it to be, and over the next four years, prophecy will prove that truth belongs to God alone. It will be evident that it was God who gave birth to America. It was God who inspired our founders. Men, who, despite their differences, agreed that unless God saved them from tyrannical government, they would be once again enslaved, designed our country.

America did not come about through subjective thinking or reasoning. It came about through prayer, humility and the good will of good men who desired a country where they could freely worship God and live morally sound lives. They created a country for which a constitution was devised to guide morally conscious people – people able to conduct themselves through the construct of conscience and the basic principle of doing unto others as we would have others to do unto us. Such high aspirations did not simply manifest from under man’s filthy feet. They emanated forth from the hearts of men who had been touched by God Almighty, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Today, spiritual apostasy is upon America and we are facing judgment. Our leaders have forsaken the God who secured our freedoms. Before we had a constitution, we had the Holy Bible and the Judeo-Christian faith that brought our founding fathers to this land, guided them, and granted them the wisdom to frame documents that have shaped our country: the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution.

However, God has been ousted, and with Him, all that we have enjoyed these last 237 years will surely follow close behind if we don’t repent and truly amend our ways as individuals and collectively as a nation. It will be the clearest message America has ever experienced at the very cost of the freedoms, wealth, and favor we have enjoyed. Perhaps, it is time. The inauguration of Barack Obama is perhaps the clearest message to America that God has decided, because the people have decided. The people have chosen their “king” and as God told the prophet Samuel, “They have not rejected you; they have rejected me” (1 Samuel 8:7).

This brings me to the issue of spiritual leadership in America. I often wonder, “why the leaders of Christendom today are not speaking directly to power specifically regarding the spiritual decay that ?” As we witness the lack of specifics from our political leadership, we must not forget their spiritual counterparts. Why are the mega-ministries so careful as to not speak specific truth to power. Speak truth to those who are allowing laws to redefine our spiritual identity?

In an interview, TD Jakes said that it is "out of [his] lane" to speak on the topic of gun control, he believes "something has to be done, not only for those that are mentally ill, but I also I think that we have to be careful about people who are under such stress today that they start out well but they don't end up well." Joel Olsten on the today’s show takes a I don’t know approach. When "Today" host Matt Lauer asked Osteen if he believes it is his responsibility to take a stand regarding guns in the U.S., Osteen responded: "I really don't Matt, because political issues divide us. For what I'm doing, I'm trying to reach as many people as possible. There are good people on both sides of the aisle, and I don't know what the best answer there is either, but I just try to guide them and give them hope in this time of need," Osteen added. I have listened to comments of a few leaders of mega ministries and it is my opinion that they are falling short of speaking specific truth to power to offer solutions, not mere sound bite safe answers that will not provoke change. Such leaders need to speak truth to a point of exposing the real problems of our nation, but instead, they remain in a “safe zone.” Why should we take them seriously? Is there any noteworthy plea that convicts and drives people to their knees, or at least captures the mind to reconsider the direction that our political leaders are taking us? There appears to be lacking a message of, “America is in trouble and this is why.”

Mega ministry leaders are invited on national news and have a stage to speak truth, but instead, they play it safe. While I cannot judge their hearts and have not sat down with them one on one, I believe they can do more. A lot more.

Sad to say, many ministries, by their silence have sided with the gospel of inclusion and has chosen the path of peace where there is no peace to be had. They are the teachers of an age in which the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been saturated with compromise and lies.

Furthermore, the black preachers and churches that have immortalized Barack Obama because of his pigmentation have been a disgrace to God’s kingdom and a stumbling block to those whose souls they have been entrusted to lead. If they think they will not have to be accountable for being ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, siding with a mere man who has legalized sacrificing the unborn on the altars of Baal and the public rejection of biblically-defined marriage, they are truly blind. This seems to demonstrate that perhaps they were not even called by God or they, too, have rejected him. Even those who choose to remain in a political party that publically rejected God from its platform refuse to blush at their own apostate hearts. They may not believe it today, but there will be consequences, because God is just and will not be mocked.

I miss the days of fiery preachers who could not care less what the government thought of their non-profit status – preachers like Jimmy Swaggart, who would hold his Bible up high, declare the righteousness of God, and warn America to stay on the narrow path! It worked. No doubt, his fall from grace was tragic, yet it does not nullify the truth he preached, and by the grace of God, he continues to preach to this day.

I have no doubt that there is a remnant left amongst the faithful, and to that remnant, I say, “the days ahead will be a trial of your faith such as you have never known. It is imperative that you settle in your heart and mind that you will hold to God’s unchanging hand and not forsake His word as we witness a transition in America that is already unfolding before us.” While our government’s leaders believe they can regulate men’s hearts by taking away guns and create peace by legalizing gay marriage, it will become evident that it cannot. Killings will only increase and immorality will sink to new lows.

While our politicians on both side of the aisle argue, debate, and avoid responsibility, I, as both a minister of the gospel and a prophetic voice, I warn those on Capitol Hill to make an appeal to God for mercy. Run to Him. Join hands with godly men and women, and run to the God who made the hill from which you govern. Repent and God might turn away the judgment that you and others have brought upon this nation and that we as a people have asked for, because we have chosen ungodly leaders. We are reaping the godless country we deserve. Only an appeal to God can stave off the ravages of the enemy and turn the tide that our land might be healed. It’s our choice as a people and a nation to fully repent and leave the outcome to Him.

Precedents for Papal Resignation

Pedro Arrupe and Peter-Hans Kolvenbach

In the light of the Vatican's press release that Joseph Ratzinger (Benedict XVI) will step down from the papal throne on March 28, 2013;  We wonder if there is a precedent for such a resignation in recent history?
There haven't been any papal resignations per se in quite a while.  However, if we take into account the Superior General of the Society of Jesus, which is also known as the Black Pope?  There have been two previous modern resignations.

1. Arrupe's resignation was accepted on September 3, 1983
Pedro Arrupe, S.J. the 28th Superior General of the Society of Jesus (1965–83):
On August 7, 1981, after a long and tiring trip throughout the Far East, Fr. Arrupe suffered a stroke just after his aeroplane landed at Rome's Fiumicino Airport. He was paralysed on his right side and was able to speak only a few words. This ability gradually deteriorated until he was completely mute. From that time on he lived in the infirmary at the Jesuit Motherhouse. He was the first Jesuit Superior-General to resign instead of remaining in office until his death. Pope John Paul II appointed Fr. Paolo Dezza as his personal delegate and interim Father General of the Society, passing over Fr. Arrupe’ s own choice of vicar general. There was a wave of resentment in the Society as this was seen as unwarranted papal interference in Jesuit affairs. For his part, Fr. Arrupe never expressed any disagreement or resentment.[10] In 1983, Fr. Dezza called the thirty-third General Congregation to deal with the resignation of Arrupe and the election of a successor. Fr. Arrupe's resignation was accepted on September 3, 1983 during the Congregation and it proceeded to elect Fr. Peter Hans Kolvenbach as Father General. During the opening Session of the Congregation Fr. Arrupe was wheeled into the hall, and a prayer which he had written was read out.1

And more recently:

2. Kolvenbach's resignation was accepted on 14 January 2008
Peter-Hans Kolvenbach, SJ, was the 29th Superior General of the Society of Jesus (1983 to 2008):
In February, 2006, Kolvenbach informed the members of the Society of Jesus of his intention, with the consent of Pope Benedict XVI, to step down in 2008. His resignation was accepted at the 35th General Congregation of the Society of Jesus. When asked about his plans for retirement, Kolvenbach stated his hope that he could join the Jesuits in the Near East to be a help in that war-torn region.2

On 2 February 2006, Fr. Kolvenbach informed the members of the Society of Jesus that, with the consent of Pope Benedict XVI, he intended to step down in 2008, the year he would turn 80. As the superior general is elected for life, Kolvenbach was only the second to resign the office. The 35th General Congregation of the Society of Jesus convened on 5 January 2008 in Rome. On 14 January it accepted Kolvenbach's resignation and elected Adolfo Nicolás as his successor.[citation needed]3

Since the pope is infallible, I guess even quitting his job can be considered a righteous act.

The Running Man ~ True Lies

They can't make this stuff up!

Or, can they?

Anything is possible now a days.
False Flag Operations?

I've recently been thinking about the current rouge cop from California on the run having shot and killed cops and civillians.

As I write/wrote these words down -

Newsflash:  The City of Los Angeles just announced a 1 Million Dollars ($1,000,000) reward for the arrest or the body of Chris Dorner (Drone-R).

As I considered many of the details (ex-cop, Naval Special Operations, and SWAT Teams) about the fugitive, I am reminded of Arnold Schwarzenegger's string of movie roles, specifically THE RUNNING MAN.  The general location where the assailant went on a rampage, a killing spree and current manhunt is near HOLLYWOOD, California: the home of the entertainment industry (lala-land) where most of the GOVERNATOR'S movies were filmed.
This situation also reminds me of Predator, Commando, and the Terminator series. While we are speaking of Schwarzenegger films, I believe the case is going on The 6th Day and the Last Action Hero may soon reach 'his' End of Days

Does this look like the script of The Running Man?

Is this like a crime version of the Bull Run of Pamplona Spain?

Are all these incidents just True Lies

llllllllllllllllllllll

Some of Schwarzenegger's movies:

The Terminator 1984 The Terminator/T-800

Commando 1985 John Matrix

Predator 1987 Major Alan "Dutch" Schaeffer

The Running Man 1987 Ben Richards

Total Recall 1990 Douglas Quaid/Hauser

Kindergarten Cop 1990 Detective John Kimble

Have Pastors Forsaken America?

HAVE PASTORS FORSAKEN AMERICA?
PART 1

By Pastor Roger Anghis
February 10, 2013
NewsWithViews.com

As we watch America spiraling down into oblivion we have to ask how this happened. How did we let America be turned into a nation of people who demand that government take care of them instead of the nation of hard working, independent and self reliant people that founded this nation?

To answer this we have to look at what influenced the Founders and what influences today's society. Let's begin with what influenced the Founders. During the education years of the Founders there was only one major influence in the lives of the Founders and that was the Pastors. In the 1600's and early 1700's the pastors were the most influential person in the community. These pastors were more than simple people who gave a cute sermon on Sunday mornings. They were the leaders of the community. They were the teachers. They carried so much influence in the community that the British labeled them The Black Regiment for the color of the robes that they wore.[1] These pastors did not beat around the bush with their interpretation of scripture. They used the Bible for their foundation of morals.

These men were men of honor and integrity. They preached that Christians should live in the fullness of God’s Word. There were sermons on the deity of Christ, on Christmas, on Easter, but there were also sermons on other varied topics that you would not hear preached today such as sermons on bridges [architecture], earthquakes, taxes, elections, even executions. Whatever was in the forefront of the people’s daily lives, the pastors would address it from a Biblical perspective. They were always out front in the fight for freedom. They helped write state constitutions, were the founders of most of our colleges and universities such as Yale, Harvard, Columbia [Kings College], Princeton, William and Mary, Dartmouth, and Rutgers University.[2]

Church historian Charles Galloway regarded the pastors of the Founding era to be the pillars of the community. He declared: Mighty men they were, of iron nerve and strong hand and unblanched cheek and heart of flame. God needed not reeds shaken by the wind, not men clothed in soft raiment [Matthew 11:7-8], but heroes of hardihood and lofty courage. . . . And such were the sons of the mighty who responded to the Divine call.[3]

Today's pastors, for the most part, do not have iron nerve nor a strong hand and unblanched cheek and their hearts are cold. They stay as far away from politics as they can. As proof of this in 2005 I assembled a meeting for pastors to help them understand the church's proper role in the political arena. I invited 200 pastors and had a sitting U.S. Congressman as the keynote speaker and a local State Senator also spoke. Of the 200 pastors invited only one showed up. Several lay people did attend but only one pastor. In speaking with some pastors most has no problem with the way the government had regulated the church's out of the political arena. The pastors today covet the 501 (c) 3 more than they fear God. Today's pastors won't preach against sin or even call sin a sin any more. I heard one very prominent TV preacher say that the "Worst thing a preacher can do is remind the people of their sin." He even fired his son for preaching from the Bible.

The pastors of the Founding era taught morality. The morality found in the Bible. They were the teachers that reminded the people that they were a free people and that they were to resist any type of tyranny. In 1676 Christian minister William Penn wrote the governing document for West Jersey and stated concerning the type of government that had been established:

We lay a foundation for after ages to understand their liberty . . . that they may not be brought in bondage but by their own consent, for we put the power in the people.[4]

The pastors today have no grounding in this type of teaching. They stay away from anything that looks political including abortion and same-sex marriage issues. They have come to believe that these issues are political and not just a moral issue.

Daniel Webster, the great Defender of the Constitution, stated his belief of the role that the pastors played in developing the representative type of government that has made America the greatest nation on earth:

[T]o the free and universal reading of the Bible in that time men were much indebted for right views of civil liberty.[5]

The Christian ministers of the late 1600’s and early 1700’s were not weak preachers that we see today. They stood their ground under all conditions unrelenting in their fight for justice and resisting encroachments on the civil and religious liberties that they had helped secure.

As an example of their willingness to fight for the rights and liberties that they helped establish an instance arose where the crown appointed Governor Edmund Andros attempted to seize the charters of Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut, revoke the representative government and force the establishment of the British Anglican Church. Opposition to this attempt to revoke the freedoms and liberties they believed was the God ordained government they were to live by was led by the leaders of the church, the Revs. Samuel Willard, Increase Mather, and especially the Rev. John Wise.[6]

Reverend Wise was so instrumental in that opposition that he was imprisoned by Governor Andros. Even then he refused to back away from his stand for freedom that, even while imprisoned, in 1710 and 1717 two documents declaring that democracy was God’s ordained government in both church and State.[7] These documents gave reason for historians to refer to Reverend Wise as ‘The Father of American Democracy.”[8]

Too many of today's pastors preach a mamby pamby message and don't have the guts to stand for anything. After the Revolutionary War the pastors stood strong on legal immigration. Today we see pastors calling for amnesty for all those that have broken our laws and some even call for open borders. No nation has been able to sustain an open border policy. A prosperous nation is brought to its knees allowing that because the economy cannot sustain an unrestrained influx of people. We are seeing that today. We have refused to close our borders since the 1960's and now we have way too many people coming to enjoy the prosperity of America. Most are coming illegally and we, the church, foolishly encourage it.

Our pastors used to fight for what is right, now they fight for what is popular. Pastors used to teach godly morals and principles but now they sway to and fro with the winds of public opinion. the Bible says in Ephesians 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;. The pastors of America has lost their zeal for the things of God. Some never really had it to begin with. We are allowing the government to tell us what we can and cannot do. This is a sign of a church with no backbone.

Today's kids are influenced by MTV and video games and soft to hard porn on TV. They aren't allowed to learn America's real history but they can learn about islam. When they get to college most of the professors are liberals that tear down America instead of teaching the great attributes of America that made her the greatest nation the world has ever seen. Bibles are no longer allowed in schools so what influenced our Founders does not influenced today's generation. Nothing of substance is put before the eyes of today's youth. They are not taught about patriotism, honor, morality or personal responsibility. They are taught that they are victims instead of champions. Our future is in the hands of uninformed, uneducated and irresponsible people who don't know who they really are. Ignorant of their real heritage and believing the lies of the liberal left.

Cramer Storms the 'Street Signs' Set

Cramer Storms the 'Street Signs' Set

FRI 18 JAN 13 | 02:30 PM ET

in the meantime, let's get to herb. a red flag on some high-flying stocks. i would like to know, a what makes them look vulnerable here. great question. over the next month, six weeksor so, we see companies come out they are priced forperfection. now what is priced for perfection easy for you to say, varies. it is in the eyes of beholder. when i look at my list, you look at price earnings multiple. going forward or trailing, whichever you want it use. and stock prices. some go up and they don't go down. i put together lists of those. the people i talk to seem it shake their head at it. let's go through the list and wewill break it down further. top of the list, salesforce.com. 87 times earnings. such a high number. then growth by acquisition story. under armour. and look down the little totractor supply. costco, such a great company, but hits the list because it has to do everything just right. now of course sherwin-williams. if we break it down to the top three, based on pe or just crazy run in the stock, i wil break it down this way. and i have lumber -- by the way, these three, jim cramer favorites.no offense to jim. everything has to go right. lumber liquidators.sherwin-williams, which by the way, it has been declining. you wantto keep an eye on that. i know incringly people looking at that over and over. they know there is a new part to the story because there is continued risk there. well keep watching that.actually you mentioned jim cramer. we've got jim cramer. he is currently running out to the set. there he is. come on out, jim.before jim gets mic'd up, i want it push back on you a little bit buddy. sure. first, beauty is not in the eye of the beholder, it is in the eye of the shareholder. and risky stock valued and whyare they so far off their lows and are they close to bankruptcy so it has outsized gains which are somewhat artificial. i don't disagree with you. it is just a matter of just remember it all has to go just right. price to perfection, as they say, jim. all right, chief. what are the pricearnings a year ago for sherwin-williams? for costco? right. oh, you mean like -- yeah, sorry.yes of course you're right on that. i just want it raise the point that -- i'm not going to defend all ten any more. ka ching, ka ching. tractor supply. but some of these, i mean, sherwin-williams was absolutely underpriced. i'm in a biepd on some of these. if we were -- you have to wait for a pull back because they move so much. sherwin-williams, higher price point --look at the nation of -- and pimco says they were investing in housing. right. what about the falling sales growth? i put up my chart and say, i'm surprised to see the sales sliding the way they are, the growth. the growth. comp store numbers arefabulous at their paint stores. remember, the cost of paint hascome down rather dramatically. and it is a housing play. i guess it. but masco, stanley works -- i get it, i get it. i run a distinguish between ulta, something i know you challenged me on and i backed way on. you put up a certain number of stores, ulta will not grow like it did. sure stz i have trouble with the housing place because t may actually be based on say 700,000 housing starts and maybe we go to 1.5 million housing starts. i'm not making any broad calls here. i'm trying to say these thecompanies that the guys on the other side say, they are rippingtheir hair out every time -- see me there. using metrics you used here as to why you think these high flyers could be vulnerable, how long have you been wrong? oh, my gosh. my, when did you start -- wrong and early. wrong and early. by the way -- no, netflix right. chipotle, right. and cramer, under armour -- let herb defend himself. as i told john mackey, co-ceo of whole foods --and former tight end. as he was walking off theet here, i said, red flags i flew over your company many years ago, and i con grat rated him. he did a great job. but there are plenty of people raising issues. but point here, this is a street that expects just perfection. but if it gets it, it goes higher. isn't it a shame chipotle reported a number not so great. stock didn't go down as much as during previous disappointment. because price earnings multiple is shrinking. and i just think what happens isif they miss, they are cut in half. if they make it, they go up. herb, since i first met you -- i have no interest in the stock market. i own no stocks and i will say this. companies in four years, ulta's revenue doubled. yes. gross margin is expanding, doesn't that merit a 27 pe which is not historically outrageousfor that growth rate? i can't wait to hear this. maybe now. but as they grow, and as they put stores in perhaps smaller markets and put them closer together, they could run into the home cannibalization. one time he said, cramer, you're too much. i know you didn't like it because it sounds like -- you have to be skeptical and what i love about herb is herb keeps me skeptical and it should keep the people at home -- is that the only thing you love about him. he is a loveable guy. there are many reasons. generosity in planning dinners that he owes is not one of the thi you love. maybe was it the chicken -- he is saying it a grand slam. the pvh portion of jc penny is a grand slam. and i like mandy very much. you are real good, you know that. he is a good egg. herb is about as good as -- absolutely. he is right more than wrong, by far. jim, thank you. all right, well, the can'tmiss exclusive interview with

Bringing the Foreign Policy Debate Home

Author: Richard N. Haass, President, Council on Foreign Relations
October 23, 2012
Bringing the Foreign Policy Debate Home - presidential-debate-foreign-policy

A good deal can and will be said about Monday night's foreign policy debate, but the bottom line may be that it was not so much about foreign policy and not so much a debate.
Both candidates had a lot to say about "domestic" concerns: education, deficits, infrastructure, energy, and economic competitiveness. To many watching the debate, it might have seemed to have gone off course. But the emphasis on these stateside concerns served to underscore an important point: the United States can only be as strong abroad as it is at home. American influence in the world depends on the ability to act with real capacity and set an example that others will want to follow. This all takes resources.
There was also a surprising degree of agreement between the two candidates: the wisdom of pushing Hosni Mubarak out of the president's office as the protesters gathered in Tahrir Square; the need to prevent Iran from gaining nuclear weapons; concern for Pakistan's future stability; the utility of drone strikes as a tool of counter-terrorism; the desirability of challenging China on areas of disagreement in a way that did not rule out selective cooperation; and the importance of helping the Syrian opposition by doing all that was possible to see that any weapons supplied did not end up in the "wrong," i.e. radical, hands.
There were as well some obvious omissions: the lack of debate over Libya and the neglect of Mexico, the eurozone, Africa, the Israeli-Palestinian impasse, and climate change. The only thing sure is that whoever wins the election in two weeks will not have the luxury of avoiding these issues or the hard choices associated with the others, domestic and foreign alike.
