Mary Worship, Christianity and Roman Catholicism

To Whom Should We Pray? Roman Catholic False Doctrine Of
Mary As Co-Mediatrix And Co-Redemptress

While doing some conference browsing, I came upon the
following quoted material:

"Catholics would agree that the Blessed Virgin Mary should
not be worshipped; that is taught by the Catholic Church to
be a sin."

"There is no reason to suppose that it is inappropriate to
ask for her prayers, though. The word "pray" means "ask,
beg, petition or entreat." There is nothing that limits our
requests, petitions or entreaties to the mighty Triune God
only."

No man cometh unto the Father, "but by me"

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world......... John 1:29.

Quite often I've heard stories about Mary, Jesus' earthly mother being an intercessor for mankind. There can be nothing farther from the truth. The only one capable of interceding for humanity is Jesus who died a terrible death almost 2,000 years ago. No one can share His sacrifice or His glory; Except the Father, since He and the Son are one.

Jesus clearly warned His followers that there would come deceivers and impostors:

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Matthew 24: 4,5.

Mary is not a co-redeemer, or mediatrix as they call her; Neither is she alive to intercede with the Father. No, the mother of Jesus is in the grave awaiting the triumphant return of the King of Kings for the resurrection; When she along with all the dead in Christ will be revived.

Here are a few Bible verses that will uphold the belief that Jesus is the Lamb of God which died for the sins of man. In them you will find the words of Jesus which manifest His unique atonement for sin; Nowhere does it mention Mary having shared His sufferings or interceding for humanity. It's blasphemous, and an abomination to claim that Jesus wasn't the only one who died for you or me. No one can attribute to Mary qualities that she never claimed for herself.

If we believe the error that Mary is a co-redemptrix, or a mediatrix we make Jesus a liar.

43

I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.

Isaiah 42:8
.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
1 Timothy 2:5,6.

The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

John 3:35

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:6

25Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

26For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

27And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

28Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

29And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

30I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

John 5:25-30.

44No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

45It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

46Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.

47Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

48I am that bread of life.

John 6:44-48.

16And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

17It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

18I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

19Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

John 8:16-19.

25Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

26But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

30I and my Father are one.

John 10: 25-30.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:6..

Worldwide Cardinal-Bishop Petition for the Proclamation of a Marian Dogma

Author: Cardinal Co-patrons of 2005 Fa Source: Catholic.net

Worldwide Cardinal-Bishop Petition for the Proclamation of a Marian Dogma

ITALY (FEBRUARY 8, 2008) - Cardinals Initiate Worldwide Cardinal-Bishop Petition to Pope Benedict XVI for the Proclamation of a Marian Dogma

Five cardinals have invited every cardinal and bishop in the world to join them in petitioning Pope Benedict XVI to solemnly proclaim the Mother of Jesus as the "Spiritual Mother of humanity” as an ecumenical service of clarification to other religious traditions and to proclaim the full Christian truth about Mary.

An English copy of the letter which the five cardinals sent to all the world's cardinals and bishops in various languages on January 1, 2008, as well as a Latin “votum” or petition and its English translation has been released by His Eminence, Luis Cardinal Aponte Martínez, Fatima Symposium cardinal co-patron, with permission for publication (see below).

This initiative also intends to start an in-depth worldwide dialogue on Mary’s role in salvation for our time and builds upon the endorsement of over 500 Catholic cardinals and bishops for the petition for the definition of this potential fifth Marian dogma over the course of the past 15 years. Renowned contemporary Catholic leaders have also voiced their support, such as Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta and Mother Angelica, foundress of the worldwide Eternal Word Television Network, along with approximately 7 million petitions from Catholics worldwide.

Should this effort prove successful, a proclamation would constitute a historical event for the Church as only the fifth Marian dogma defined in its 2,000-year history.

The five cardinals, Their Eminences Telesphore Cardinal Toppo, Archbishop of Ranchi, India, President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India; Luis Cardinal Aponte Martínez, Archbishop Emeritus of San Juan, Puerto Rico; Varkey Cardinal Vithayathil, Major Archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly, India; Riccardo Cardinal Vidal, Archbishop Emeritus of Cebu, Philippines; and Ernesto Cardinal Corrippio Ahumada, Cardinal Primate Emeritus of Mexico City, have jointly invited their fellow cardinals and bishops throughout the world to add their names to their own petition to the Holy Father, which has already been formally presented to Benedict XVI in private audience by Cardinal Toppo on June 3, 2006.

These five cardinals and their petition, in the form of a Latin votum, included the names and petitions of a number of cardinals and bishops who met at the renowned Marian Shrine in Fatima, Portugal, in May 2005 for a theological symposium on the role of the Virgin Mary as the "Unique Cooperator in the Redemption" (an expression of Pope John Paul II). The symposium ended with a commonly accepted and signed votum to Pope Benedict, which respectfully asks him to prayerfully consider declaring the existing Church doctrine on Mary as the spiritual mother of all peoples as a solemn definition or "dogma," which represents the highest level of recognition of a particular Christian doctrine as a Catholic truth. This definition of Mary as spiritual mother would include her three maternal roles as the human “Co-redemptrix” (which literally means “a woman with the Redeemer” but never on a level of equality with her divine son), “Mediatrix” or distributor of the graces of the redemption, and “Advocate” or principal intercessor to her Jesus Christ.

The votum emphasizes the rich ecumenical benefits that would come from a solemn definition of this role of Mary as humanity’s spiritual mother, as the “ultimate expression of doctrinal clarity at the service of our Christian and non-Christian brothers and sisters who are not in communion with Rome, and as well as for the greater understanding and appreciation of this revealed doctrine concerning the Mother of the Redeemer by the People of God at the outset of this third millennium of Christianity.”

The first major petition drive to the popes for the solemn definition of Mary's universal mediation of grace (a long-standing Catholic doctrine taught by the Roman pontiffs) came from Belgian Cardinal Mercier in 1915, at which time he received the positive support of hundreds of Catholic bishops. In the early 1920s, the petition was also strongly endorsed by Fr. Maximilian Kolbe (who was later canonized by Pope John Paul II), founder of the international Marian movement, Militia Immaculatae (“Army of the Immaculate”), and who offered his life in martyrdom in Auschwitz in 1941.

Cardinal Toppo, President of India’s Conference of Catholic Bishops and cardinal co-patron of the 2005 Fatima symposium stated in his address, “The title ‘co’ clarifies it all. She is in no way the Redemptrix of humanity, and yet by the will of God and her humble human co-operation, she truly is, and deserves to be called/designated/honoured as ‘Co-redemptrix.’”

Cardinal Aponte Martínez, also cardinal co-patron at the Fatima conference, offers the following comment in support of the present timeliness of this potential dogma by Benedict XVI: “I believe the time is now for the papal definition of the relationship of the Mother of Jesus to the each one of us, her earthly children, in her roles as Co-redemptrix, Mediatrix of all graces, and Advocate. To solemnly proclaim Mary as the spiritual mother of all peoples is to fully and officially recognize her titles, and consequently to activate, to bring to new life the spiritual, intercessory functions they offer the Church for the New Evangelization, and for humanity in our serious present world situation.”

Let's ask Jesus: What was Mary's role?

Jesus spoke the Truth

In regards to Mary the mother of Jesus; I've always thought she was just a very fortunate woman. I believe she was chosen by God to be the earthly mother of Jesus. There were no other honors afforded her besides bearing and raising Jesus the Christ. Mary was a highly esteemed woman in God's eyes, but she was a mortal human (fallible) being. There are no additional honors due to her besides the ones she receive; She is not to be worshiped or adored in violation of the ten commandments.

On several occasions during Christ's life as portrayed in the New Testament we hear Jesus demonstrate His superiority to Mary; Such was the case the time when He stood behind at Jerusalem, then Mary discovered Him missing she asked Him what He was doing in the temple: "I must be about my Father's business" -

49And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
50And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.
51And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
52And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
.
Luke 2:49-52.

On another occasion Jesus was at a wedding when His mother Mary asked Him about the wine, ("They have no wine"), He answered her:

4Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
5His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
.
John 2:4,5.

Once while Jesus spoke to the pharisees about the Sabbath, healing, and signs someone hinted that Mary wanted to see Him:

46While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
47Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
48But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Matthew 12:46-50.

27And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
28But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Luke 11:27, 28.

Finally, while Jesus was dying at the cross he saw His mother Mary and John His beloved disciple, He instructed them:

25Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
26When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
27Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

John 19:25-27.

The world's veneration of the virgin Mary is contrary to the words of Jesus, and in direct opposition to the Gospels and the Ten commandments. I've often wondered where this undue worship of Mary comes from? It is central to Roman Catholic doctrines and dogmas, but, not restricted to their church alone. While surfing the Internet I was perplexed by this peculiar poem titled 'Not Only Mary's Song'. Does this seem like sound doctrine to you?

It is a well established Biblical fact that all the honor and glory and power is for the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and no one else. Let's always remember that!

CONVERSATIONS BETWEEN ADVENTIST AND CATHOLICS

A Report by Angel Manuel Rodriguez

For some time theologians from the Roman Catholic Church had manifested interest in holding conversations with Seventh-day Adventists concerning Adventist beliefs. After careful consideration, and motivated by the opportunity to present our beliefs to leading Catholic theologians, the invitation was accepted. Consequently, Dr. Bert Beach and Dr. John Graz of the GC Department of Public Affairs and Religious Liberty, and Dr. Angel Manuel Rodríguez of the Biblical Research Institute met in Rome May 5-6, 2000 with Bishop (now Cardinal) Walter Kasper and Msgr. John Radano from the Vatican.

The conversation was very informal, cordial and touched on different topics including the organizational structure of the SDA Church. We provided a brief summary of our doctrines based on the 27 Fundamental Beliefs without analyzing any of them. Catholics placed special emphasis on baptism and the second coming of Christ and pointed out that during Mass there is a daily reference to the Coming of Christ. They showed particular interest in the global nature of our church. We also gave a report on Adventist interchurch relations.

Mgsr. Radano gave a report on how the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity is organized and its activities. It promotes ecumenism inside the church and in regards to other churches. According to him true ecumenism requires faithfulness to the apostolic faith as received from Christ through the apostles and under the safeguard of the church and unity of sacraments and ministry. We discussed some areas of tension. They mentioned that apparently in some regions of the world we were misrepresenting them. We suggested that in those cases they should feel free to contact us and present their concerns. We pointed out that in some parts of the
world our relations with Catholics is fine while in others there are problems on both sides.

Proselytism was briefly discussed. It was clear that they rejected proselytism when it targeted their members. Although they accept civil laws on religious freedom they call for respect inspired by Christian love and unity. When Catholic Bishops visit the Vatican they some complain, they said, about Adventist proselytism. They wanted to know whether we proselytize Catholics because we do not consider them to be Christians-that is to say because we do not accept infant baptism. We commented that a person who lives as a Christian is a Christian but one who does not practice it is not a Christian. We mentioned that there are various definitions of proselytism and added that proselytism is not necessarily wrong. It is based on the person's right to religious freedom that grants the individual the opportunity to explore other faiths and even to accept new doctrinal options. At the end of the meeting Catholics expressed desire to have more informal conversations with Adventists.

Since then three subsequent meetings have been held. The first one was a two day meeting in May 2001 at the John Knox Center in Geneva, Switzerland, named for the leader of the Scottish Reformation. The discussion centered around a paper written by George W. Reid in which he summarized and analyzed Adventist teachings as expressed in the 27 Fundamental Beliefs of Seventh-day Adventists. Other Adventist participants included Dr. Beach, Dr. Graz, and Dr. Roland Meyer. Among the Catholic theologians were Bishop Marc Ouellet, Msgr. John Radano, Dr. James F. Puglisi, and Dr. Ralph Del Colle. The discussion revolved around common doctrinal beliefs. Several questions were raised on peculiar Adventist beliefs but there was no in-depth discussion of any of them. It was anticipated that those could be topics for further discussion in the future.

The second meeting was held in May 2002. The Adventist group included Dr. Beach, Dr. Graz, Dr. Reid, Dr. Rodriguez, and Dr. Richard Lehman, President of the Franco-Belgian Union of SDA. The subject under consideration was Sabbath/Sunday, as requested by the Catholic group. The guiding paper prepared by Dr. Rodriguez focused on an intensive biblical and theological study of the biblical Sabbath. The paper prepared by Catholic theologian Dr. Puglisi focused on a biblical and historical/theological study of Sunday. Catholic theologians argued that the seed of Sunday observance is found in the NT and that it originated as a result of theological reflection on the meaning of the resurrection of Jesus. Adventist commented that doctrines or dogmas are to be based on biblical evidence and not on post-apostolic traditions and that there is no evidence in the NT to support the position that the resurrection of Jesus led to Sunday observance. We also rejected the authority of the church to define and/or establish doctrines without clear biblical basis.

The third meeting took place in May 2003. The Adventist group included this time Dr. Richard Davidson, from Andrews University Theological Seminary, who prepared a paper on hermeneutics, and Dr. Roland Meyer, from Salve Adventist University. The topic of discussion was Adventist and Catholic hermeneutics. The paper on the Catholic side was prepared by Dr. Gospert Byamungu, from the Ecumenical Institute at Bossy. Catholics showed a high view of Scripture while arguing that a modified use of the historical-critical method was not incompatible with it. We also argued for a high view of Scripture but found the classical and modified use of the historical-critical method incompatible with it. Catholics do not separate Scripture from Tradition because according to them Tradition is grounded in Scripture. We argued that as long as Tradition is a witness to apostolic teaching we do not reject Tradition. Our concern is with post-apostolic traditions that are not based on Scripture. Among them we mentioned such teachings as purgatory, the treasury of merits, indulgencies, Mariology, etc. We obviously disagreed. They argued that those teachings were based on biblical-theological concepts. The role of the Magisterium in the interpretation of the Bible was discussed and Catholics argued that in the area of dogmas the church needs an authoritative interpretation of the Bible and that it is provided by the Magisterium (the Pope and the Bishops together make decisions). As Protestants we argued that the Bible is its own interpreter, that it provides its own rules of interpretation and that through the assistance of the Holy Spirit believers are able to understand its message of salvation without the need of a Magisterium.

At the close of the meeting Catholic theologians asked Adventists whether our application of Rev 13 to the Papacy is based on sola scriptura and whether we still apply the chapter to the Papacy. We commented that our position is not exclusively Adventist but that it goes back to the Reformers themselves and is based on a method of interpretation provided by the Bible itself. The Catholic reaction was to consider our interpretation of Rev 13 to be a sectarian element. In a humorous way Adventists commented that the Mariological interpretation of some biblical passages is also sectarian. On a more serious tone, Adventists commented that we would be less than honest should we tell them that we no longer hold our understanding of those prophecies.
However, in conjunction with our eschatology stands an effort to express Christian fellowship and love. Future developments depend on whether religious liberty is practiced or intolerance.
As Adventists, it was added, we should not allow our particular prophetic view to determine the way we relate to Catholics and would not like those views to determine the way Catholics relate to us. There is some tension, but we should seek ways of expressing sincere Christian love to each other.

No conversation has been planned for 2004. The discussions have been useful by providing an opportunity to share with Catholic theologians important aspects of our message and interacting with them. The Adventist papers presented in the meetings are available on our web-page.

SEMIRAMIS -"Queen of Heaven" "Mother of god"

Sunday, August 10, 2008

SEMIRAMIS -"Queen of Heaven""Mother of god"

SEMIRAMIS -"Queen of Heaven""Mother of god"

"Semiramis became known as the "queen of heaven," and was the prototype from which all other pagan goddesses came."--World Religions by David Terrell

"Semiramis, in particular was the model and original of every goddess and female cult figure in the ancient and modern worlds."--SEMIRAMIS, QUEEN OF BABYLONby Bryce Self

Madonna and Child

"Nimrod and his mother (Semiramis)became the chief entities of worship as a Madonna and child. This belief and practice spread to Egypt, where the names of the gods were Isis and Osiris. The son Osiris was born December 25. In Asia it was Cybele and Deonius. In Rome they were called Fortuna and Jupiter. Throughout the world we still find the remnants of mother and child worship to this day. It is no surprise that this same system still exists at the end of the age. It is called "Mystery Babylon" (Rev 17:5). Shockingly, it is disguised as Christianity and is still practiced in the celebration of Christmas."--The Bible as History by Werner Keller

Worship of mother and child spread from Babylon to the ends of the earth, but were called different names in the languages of the various counties where their worship appeared.

"Semiramis and Horus/Tammuz were worshipped as "Madonna and child." And as the generations passed, they were worshipped under other names in different countries and languages. Many of these are recognizable - such as -Fortuna and Jupiter in Rome; Aphrodite and Adonis in Greece and Ashtoreth/Astarte and Molech/Baal in Canaan."--Syncretismas!by Martin G. Collins Forerunner, December 1995

The ancient Germans worshipped the virgin HERTHA with the child in the arms of his mother. The Scandinavians called her DISA pictured with her child. In Egypt, the mother and her child wereworshiped as ISIS with the infant OSIRIS or HORUS seated on his mother's lap.In India, the mother and child were called DEVAKI and KRISHNA, and also ISI and ISWARA as they are worshiped to this day.In Asia, they were known as CYBELE and DEOIUS; in pagan Rome, as FORTUNA and JUPITER-PUER, or the boy JUPITER; in Greece, as CERES, the great mother with babe at her breast, or as IRENE,the goddess of peace, with the boy PLUTUS in her arms. Even in Tibet, China, and Japan, Jesuit missionaries were astonished to find the Roman counterpart of MADONNA and child. SHING MOO, the holy mother in China was portrayed with a child in her armsand a glory (halo - nimbus) around her.

Semiramis was worshiped in Ephesus as the pagan fertility goddess DIANA who represented the generative powers

The Many Names of Semiramis

Semiramis - The Wife of Nimrod is also known under various aliases,

  • Allilah or Allah

  • Ariadne

  • Astarte

  • Cybele; Goddess with the 12 stars; celibacy is required of her priests

  • Diane

  • Ishtar; Babylonian sun-goddess

  • Isis; Egyptian sun-goddess

  • Laksjmi

  • Lady Liberty

  • Rhea; Goddess of the hunt

  • Sin; the moongod(dess)

  • Venus; Goddess of Love)

Semiramis - Isis - and Mary

"Isis was often represented standing on the crescent moon, with twelve stars surrounding her head. In almost every RomanCatholic church on the continent of Europe may be seen pictures and statues of Mary, the "Queen of Heaven," standing on the crescent moon, her head surrounded with twelve stars."-From Bethlehem to Calvary - Chapter Two Alice Bailey"Goddess veneration of the "virgin with child" has been a central belief for various societies throughout history, including some aspects of Christianity. Indeed, many leading occultists see striking parallels between the Roman Catholic "Virgin Mary"–the "Queen of Heaven"–and the goddess Isis. And the comparison is startling. Presently, Roman Catholicism holds Mary to be eternally virgin, just as Isis was. Catholicism also contends that Mary was without sin, making her into a type of "god." In fact, there are some who claim that Mary is the "fourth person" within the Trinity. This belief is linked to Catholicism’s claim that Mary now has a direct say in mankind’s salvation through her role of co-redemption and mediation. Hence, the elevated Mary becomes a "goddess" in the Catholic faith, just as Isis was a goddess in the pantheon of Egyptian deities. And just as Isis was (and still is) called "Mother of the World" and "Queen of Heaven," so too Mary is now exalted with these same titles."-Isis: "Queen of Heaven"by Carl Teichrib

"The logical person to replace the Great Mother of paganism was Mary, the mother of Jesus. It mattered not to pagan Rome whether they worshiped the goddess mother and her child under the Egyptian names of Isis and Horus,or the Babylonian names of Semiramis and Tammuz, or the Roman names of Venus and Jupiter, or under the names of the "Virgin Mary" and the "Christ- child.". Either way, it was the same old idol-religion."--Baal-mas

"Mary" Fulfills The Mother Goddess Syndrome

"The cult of the Mother Goddess entered the Christian Church...and it was a long and confusing process until Mary was declared to be the Mother of God. This is a principle which Christianity inherited from its pagan forerunners."-Stephen Benko (1993) The Virgin Goddess: Studies in the pagan and Christian roots of Mariology. Leiden: E.J. Brill. p. 5

A proper perspective of Mary.

Obviously Mary was a good Jewish woman, otherwise, Jehovah God would not have chosen her to bear his son. But many of the claims about her and the attitude that some showin reference to Mary, are simply unfounded.

There is no basis in the Bible, that we shouldpray to Mary. The Bible makes it clear that we should only pray to the Father, Jehovah God.

The fact that Mary bore other children after Christ was born - shows that she did have intercourse with her husband, and was not a virgin forever.Mary was the virgin mother of Jesus, the Son of God, but she did not remaina virgin forever. Mark 6:3 actually lists four of Jesus’ brothers and mentions sisters as well. Nor was the Biblical Mary sinless. Romans 3:23 makes it clear that "all have sinned"–which would alsoinclude Mary. Also, the Bible hasrecorded that Mary offered sacrificesat the temple to atone for her sins.

The fact that very little is said about Maryin the Bible - certainly downplays her importancein our worship and our spiritual life. In fact, the few times that Mary is mentioned, it appearsto be in somewhat of a negative light. How So?

Mary's son - the Messiah - reprimanded her when she attempted to tell him what to do, at the wedding, where he turned the water into wine.

Also, Mary attempted to interrupted Christ, when he was giving a discourse to his followers. When he was told that his mother and brothers wanted to speak with him - he basically refusedand then compared the audience to being his real and true Mother and brothers and sisters.Yes, In front of the crowd, he said that those people in his audience - who were doingthe will of His Father in heaven, were more important to him, than his mother, his sisters, and his brothers. By saying this, it appears that Christ was implying that his mother, was not doing God's will. Why was Mary not sitting in the audience listening to her son ? Could it be that she did not put any Faith in him ? Perhaps Mary was not one of his followers?

After Christ's tortuous death, there is not one single mention of his mother in the Bible again. If she was of so much importance - as some sectsof Christendom claim - then why is there no mention of her again in the Bible ?

History books and theological records all pointto the fact that Mary was adopted by the apostate church as a replacement for their Mother/Son goddess worship of pagan Rome, whose roots liein Ancient Babylon, with Semiramis - The wife and mother of Nimrod.

"Just then his mother and brothers showed up. Standing outside, they relayed a message that they wanted a word with him. He was surrounded by the crowd when he was given the message, "Your mother and brothers and sisters are outside looking for you." Jesus responded, "Who do you think are my mother and brothers?" Looking around, taking in everyone seated around him, he said, "Right here, right in front of you—my mother and my brothers. Obedience is thicker than blood. The person who obeys God's will is my brother and sister and mother." (Mark 3:31-35)(MSG)-BibleGateway

"Then Jesus' mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to tell him to come out. Many people were sitting around Jesus, and they said to him, "Your mother and brothers are waiting for you outside." Jesus asked, "Who are my mother and my brothers?" Then he looked at those sitting around him and said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! My true brother and sister and mother are those who do what God wants." (Mark 3:31-35)(NCV)-BibleGateway

There is Only One Mediator between Mankind and God

"For there is one God and one mediatorbetween God and men, ' the man' Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all..."(1Timothy 2:5,6)

"For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and people. He is the man Christ Jesus."(1Timothy 2:5)(NLT)-BibleGateway

The "Queen of Heaven"Jehovah's Viewpoint

The "queen of heaven" is a very ancient, and very modern, pagan religious term that is described in the Scriptures as the worship of the Babylonian idol Ishtar also known as Astarte and Ashtoreth.

What Did God Say About The "Queen Of Heaven"?

"The children gather wood, the fathers kindle fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger."(Jeremiah 7:18-19 RSV)

"The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink-offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, mine anger and my wrath shall be poured out upon this place...."(Jeremiah 7:18-20)(ASV)-BibleGateway

Vatican Writers Reveal Devious Plans For America's Takeover In "Project Vatican"

by Greg Szymanski27 Feb 2007
from ArticBeacon Website

The 18 page booklet talks about a five step plan that started 523 years ago.

The Vatican has issued a little known booklet for their private eyes only called ‘Project Vatican.’
The internal document is a blueprint for the “restoration of the global kingdom of Jesus Christ in the third millennium.” Contained within the booklet is also the Vatican’s plan for the domination of America, listing their goals and true evil purposes.
Although the booklet has been kept from prying eyes, Brother R.G. Stair of The Overcomer Ministry has obtained a copy. The document was forwarded to Stair by Brother Mark Hodgson in October 2006.

“This is a revealing document of the Vatican’s true purposes,” said Brother Stair on his web site. “Project Vatican is dedicated to the restoration of the Global Kingdom of Jesus Christ in the third millennium.”
The Vatican blueprint of world domination has a five-prong approach, including:
  1. The Jesuit infiltration of the English colonies on the North American continent
  2. Jesuit control of Christian schools and universities
  3. Roman Catholic Control exercised through Vatican operatives in the United States military, judiciary and media
  4. The weakening of the U.S. military, both in strength and resolve, in preparation for the Vatican-led One World Government
  5. Total control of all institutions and resources on earth, including political, military, economic, educational systems for the purpose of ensuring global peace, prosperity and order.

“Phase 1 through Phase IV have taken 523 years to complete and at the dawn of the third millennium is poised to launch Phase V. This will necessitate cooperation of the citizens of every nation on the planet on a massive scale and in previously untested numbers,” said the Vatican writers’ introduction to Project Vatican.
The writers of the 18 page booklet dedicated their efforts to Phase V, saying strategies have been in full effect albeit for varying lengths of time.

Further, they claimed the execution of their first strategy of Phase V began more than 150 years ago, the strategy being listed as,

“Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary through the perpetuation of visions, miracles and revelations.”

Other strategies under the Vatican’s Phase V for world domination include:
Dilution of the eschatological models of Biblical prophesy.
  • The alignment of the homosexual agenda with religious and racial equality, guaranteeing a support base sufficient in number to Biblical Christian fundamentalism into the category of “hate speech.”
  • In the core section of this point, Vatican writers reveal how they plan to obtain loyalty to the Pope, saying,

“The Protestants’ lack of a governing authority has resulted in a
sheep-like obedience to civil governments. Such social compliance, coupled with
capitalistic greed has made Christian fundamentalists extremely vulnerable
to social engineering.”

International monopolistic control of all financial institutions and transactions. This began January 1, 1993 with the creation of the European Roman Empire (ERE). Visa Corporation is poised to label every citizen with identifying barcode technology.
Regarding the global financial takeover and VISA, Arctic Beacon reader Greg Colon added:

“Brethren are you aware about the Visa card?
Info source Project: Vatican
VI - Roman numeral = 6
S - Egyptian symbol = 6 = we perish = anyone who takes the mark on hand or forehead
A - Sanskrit = 6
“There is a long story to how this info originally came into my hands. What happened was one of the residents on my property asked me to hang a picture for her but it had to be on my time not the companies. She showed me a picture of what is known in Catholic circles as the sacred heart of Jesus and Mary. She was told that she would have info in black and white in her hands by Monday explaining that it is the heart of Baal not Jesus.
“This happened on Friday afternoon and that night by the leading of the Holy Spirit according to Ps. 32: 8 the information on Project: Vatican was in my hands. The original source is not available any longer. This one was just furnished by the Holy Spirit. We have to lift Jesus even higher in these last days for he will draw all men unto himself.. 888 = Jesus, greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world = 666 This is a short version of the incident but it needs to shared now.”

The global Eucharistic community, meaning with rampant materialism, environmental destruction and military instability of the capitalist systems, the Vatican backed Roman Catholic Ecumenical Assemblies (RCEA) will be in the position to compel international compliance to Eucharistic adoration and communion… The Global Eucharistic Community (GEC) was formally invoked by the Vatican on Dec. 31 1999, which will preside over the WTO, the GEC and RCEA.
The last section tells Vatican loyalists what they can do in order to speed-up Rome’s plans, adding,

“Attend non-Catholic churches that are not yet RCEA affiliates for the purpose of encouraging their ministries to join the RCEA. Make audio recordings of their responses and deliver these recordings to your RCEA representative. Report all statements by non-Catholics of a racially-biased, homophobic or anti Catholic nature to your RCEA representative."

Jesus warns you to not raise up children in the last days, because the deception will be great. Its irresponsible wanting to raise up children in this world. Why would you want to raise up children in an ungodly world where they must go in school and learn ungodly teachings, where they will meet ungodly friends, where they will want to play video games, lusting for girls, watching worldly movies and series, go to parties and embrace the lusts and pleasures of this world? This is a path straight to Hell; today will most people go to Hell.[Matthew 24:19] And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days![Matthew 7:13-14] "Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it."Christ command you not to raise up children in the last days, so who knows best, you or God? Sex is only allowed for procreation, and he command you not to have children in the last days, which then means that you must live in chastity. But this is not how the world works and what the Church teaches, which is why everybody has sex out of Lust, and that is why most people enter Hell. These verses below proves that you cannot have sex out of lust and pleasure that defiles the honorable marriage bed in marriage as most people falsely claim, but only for the reason of procreation, (procreation that in the end times are not allowed, so then you must live in total chastity). Either you acknowledge the words of God, or deny them.[Hebrews 13:4] Marriage is honourable in all, and the marriage bed kept UNDEFILED: for whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.[Revelation 14:1-5] And no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were NOT DEFILED WITH WOMEN; FOR THEY ARE VIRGINS. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.We are searching for willing translators and helpers who wants to spread the powerful revelations and prophecies of saint Birgitta (Bridget) of Sweden. Rejoice! The Lord is at hand

Rejoice! The Lord is at hand
with a love that transcends time and space

On Sunday, 14 December, the Third Sunday of Advent, known as Gaudete Sunday, the Holy Father introduced the Marian prayer of the Angelus with an explanation of this Latin term for "rejoice", as used by St Paul. In keeping with tradition, the Holy Father then blessed the "Baby Jesus" figurines brought by the children of Rome who will put them in their mangers on 24 December. The following is a translation of the Pope's Reflection, which was given in Italian.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
This Sunday, the Third Sunday in the Season of Advent, is called "Gaudete Sunday": "rejoice", because the Entrance Antiphon of Holy Mass takes up St Paul's words in the Letter to the Philippians where it says: "Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I will say, Rejoice". And immediately after he explains the reason, because "The Lord is at hand" (Phil 4: 4-5).
This is the reason for joy. But what does "the Lord is at hand" mean? In what sense must we understand this "closeness" of God?
The Apostle Paul, writing to the Christians of Philippi, is evidently thinking of Christ's return and invites them to rejoice because it is certain. Yet, St Paul in his Letter to the Thessalonians, warns that no one can know the moment of the Lord's coming (cf. 1 Thes 5: 1-2) and puts people on guard against any kind of alarmism, as if Christ's return were imminent (cf. 2 Thes 2: 1-2).
Thus the Church, illumined by the Holy Spirit, already at that time understood increasingly better that God's "closeness" is not a question of space and time but rather of love: love brings people together! This coming Christmas will remind us of this fundamental truth of our faith and in front of the manger we shall be able to savour Christian joy contemplating in the newborn Jesus the Face of God who made himself close to us out of love.
In this light, it gives me real pleasure to renew the beautiful tradition of the Blessing of the Christ Child figurines, the miniature statues of the Baby Jesus to be placed in the manger.
I address you in particular, dear boys and girls of Rome, who have come this morning with your Baby Jesus figurines that I now bless. I invite you to join me, following attentively this prayer:

God, our Father
you so loved humankind
that you sent us your only Son Jesus,
born of the Virgin Mary,
to save us and lead us back to you.
We pray that with your Blessing
these images of Jesus,
who is about to come among us,
may be a sign of your presence and
love in our homes.
Good Father,
give your Blessing to us too,
to our parents, to our families and
to our friends.
Open our hearts,
so that we may be able to
receive Jesus in joy,
always do what he asks
and see him in all those
who are in need of our love.
We ask you this in the name of Jesus,
your beloved Son
who comes to give the world peace.
He lives and reigns forever and ever.
Amen.

And now let us recite together the prayer of the Angelus Domini, invoking Mary's intercession so that Jesus, whose birth brings God's Blessing to mankind, may be lovingly welcomed in all homes, in Rome and throughout the world.

After the Angelus the Pope said:

Today, in the Diocese of Rome, we celebrate the day for the construction of new churches. In recent years several new parish complexes have been built, but there are still communities who gather in provisional and inadequate structures. I warmly thank those who have supported such an important commitment of the Diocese and I renew the invitation to everyone: let us help the parishes of Rome to build their churches.
I am happy to greet all the English-speaking pilgrims and visitors present for today's Angelus prayer. On this Third Sunday of Advent we are called to rejoice because the Lord is near. As we renew our hope in Jesus and look forward to his coming, may we experience in our lives the deep joy of his salvation. I wish you all a pleasant stay in Rome, and a blessed Sunday!

In doctor's window, some see image of Virgin Mary

Martin Finucane Boston Globe Thursday, Oct 2, 2008

Officials at a Springfield hospital say they have no immediate plans to replace a window at a doctor's office building where some people say they have seen the image of the Virgin Mary.

Thousands of people have flocked to Mercy Medical Center to see the image, since a patient reported seeing it at about 11 a.m. Tuesday, said Mark Fulco, senior vice president for strategy and marketing at the hospital.
Fulco said the hospital had planned to replace the window, which was originally put in place in the 1970s when the building was constructed. But, "Obviously, we didn't change the window out when we heard.
"We figure the best thing to do right now is just leave it in place, until it can be fully evaluated and we can get advice" from the Diocese of Springfield, he said.
No one tampered with the glass or painted anything on the inside or outside, Fulco said. Glass specialists have told hospital officials that water seeped between the panes of the double-paned glass and the "minerals reacted and caused some type of acidic reaction that appears to have etched the glass," he said.
"What is unusual is the image that appears to have been etched," he said. "Many people have said it resembles the Virgin Mary or Our Lady of Guadalupe."

POPE TELLS YOUNG PEOPLE TO TRUST IN MARY

Pope tells young people to trust in Mary

http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/new.php?n=12675

"For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus."
1 Timothy 2:5

At a meeting with young people in the northern Italian city of Savona, Pope Benedict XVI recited the Angelus prayer with the young people and invited them to trust in Mary.

He recalled the words the Virgin Mary spoke to shepherd Benedict Pareto in the year 1400 urging him to build a shrine on Mount Figogna, the place where she appeared.

Benedict Pareto, according to tradition, was worried because he did not know how to respond to Mary’s invitation to build a church in a place so remote from the city.

The Pope repeated the Virgin Mary’s words: “trust in me! With me in your midst you will not fail. With my help everything will be easy. Only keep your will firm. Trust in me!”

“This, Mary repeats to us today,” Pope Benedict said. “An ancient prayer, very dear in popular tradition, makes us turn in confidence to You with these confident words, that today we make our own: ‘Remember, O Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, sought your help or implored your intercession was left abandoned.’

“It is with this certainty that we invoke the motherly care of Our Lady of the Guard on your diocesan community, its pastors, consecrated persons, the lay faithful: young people, families, the elderly. To Mary we entrust the entire city, with its diverse population, its cultural, social and economic problems and challenges of our times, and commitment of those who cooperate for the common good."

OUR LADY SPEAKS TO HER BELOVED PRIESTS

The book, TO THE PRIESTS, OUR LADY'S BELOVED SONS, is a most precious gift from the Mother of God. She chose it as a means to spread her work. It contains her messages which, since July 1973, she has been communicating to Fr. Stefano Gobbi through what, in theology, are called interior locutions. Hence in the opinion of Fr. Gobbi's spiritual director, "they are neither the fruit of personal meditations, nor a questionable literary contrivance."

This book is a motherly exhortation in simple language, not a theological treatise.

"It has been the instrument for carrying to the hearts and souls of so many beloved children the voice of the heavenly Mother, the manifestation of my maternal plan, my invitation to receive you all within the refuge of my Immaculate Heart.

How should this book be read? With the simplicity of a child who is listening to his mother...

What do I say in this book of mine? I trace out a simple and beautiful road, but a difficult one, oh how difficult! It is necessary to travel it, if you wish to live the consecration. I teach you how to live; I form you in a practical way to live with me...

...Then you hearts will be inflamed with love, your souls will be illumined by my light, and I will transform you interiorly to lead you to do each day what pleases the Heart of Jesus" (21-1-84, #282b-i)

"Read it, my beloved sons, meditate on it, live it!" (28-1-84, #284j)

In synthesis it contains the doctrine of St. Louis de Montfort, the path of Spiritual Childhood of St. Therese of Liseux, and the way to live the Message of Fatima.

Translated into more than twenty languages including Maltese, it has been printed in hundreds of thousands of copies.

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY: (A pledge)

It reads as follows:
We further promise you the greatest loyalty to the Gospel, of which we shall always be genuine and courageous heralds, even, if necessary, to the shedding of our blood. We promise loyalty to the Church, for whose service we have been consecrated.

Above all, we wish to be united with the Holy Father and the Hierarchy, firmly adhering to all their directives, so far as to form a bulwark of defense against the movement of dissent against the Magisterium that threatens the very foundation of the Church. Under your maternal protection we want to be the apostles of this sorely needed unity of prayer and love for the Pope, on whom we invoke your special protection...Ending on page A14.
