“Make America Great Again,” Donald Trump’s oft-repeated campaign slogan that still can be seen with emblazoned white words on t-shirts, hats, bumper stickers and signs that reflect the sentiments of many Americans. For different people, that vague four-word phrase has taken on different meanings; however, all who have repeated and believe in this concept believe America to have lost something that formerly made it great. For some, this idea reflects a longing to return to the “glory” of the Reagan era, while others are nostalgic to return to the Jim Crow era, while others still, which make up a large percentage, it means making America “moral,” devout, even dogmatic, wherein the church dictates to the state to enforce its decrees, a time period in which Sunday laws were in effect. Individuals longing for restoration of morality and peace in America recoil in horror at the prevailing depravity, the existent vileness and increasing crime, citing them as reasons for churches to become active in politics, thus removing the separation of church and state. President Donald Trump is just the man to remove that separation just as he promised during his campaign; and he is swiftly moving toward it. Politicians from countries around the world are taking note of this, and are also desirous for their respective nations to return to what they consider their former greatness, which involves a return of “Christian” values to government. Hungary and Poland are such countries; in fact, the entire European Union is calling for a return to its “Christian roots.”
A Brietbart headline reads as follows: “Hungary: Governments should be dedicated to ‘Christian Values’ that made Europe Great.”1 In other words, Hungary wants to return to the “greatness” that Europe formerly possessed because of its union of church and state. This was during the time that Roman Catholicism was in the ascendancy and not only ruled the church but also the state. Let us not infer, but allow the Hungarian Prime Minister to speak. “Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that after decades of being under the control of ‘anti-Christian, internationalist powers’ the country needs a government ‘based on the teachings of Christ’ which ‘made Europe and the Hungarians great.’ Speaking at a celebratory event marking the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, the conservative Fidesz party leader said that it was a duty of his government to protect ‘the ways of life that have their roots in Christianity’, including human dignity, the family, the nation, and faith communities, adding that Christian Europe needs a spiritual and intellectual renewal.”2 Make no mistake about it, Europe will have a spiritual renewal, a return to its “Christian,” Roman Catholic roots, following in America’s footsteps; but it will be anything but great. It will involve the restriction of civil and religious liberty and the enactment of Papal decrees, specifically, a Sunday Law. “The decree enforcing the worship of this day [Sunday] is to go forth to all the world. As America, the land of religious liberty, shall unite with the papacy in forcing the conscience and compelling men to honor the false sabbath, the people of every country on the globe will be led to follow her example.”3
In the Brietbart article, Poland is mentioned among the European nations calling for the restoration of religion into politics; and it is mentioned in conjunction with a Roman Catholic Feast, so we know exactly whose “Christian” values these politicians are desiring to implement in their governments. “Last month, fellow former Soviet satellite state Poland celebrated another important date in Christian history, with the Catholic Feast of the Holy Rosary that marked the anniversary of the Battle of Lepanto where ‘the Christian fleet overcame the Muslim armada, saving Europe from Islamisation.’”4
Just a few days ago (December 14), Poland’s Prime Minister essentially repeated the words of Hungarian Prime Minister as the headline conveys, “New Polish PM sees return to Christian roots as only way to stop Europe’s decline.” In the article can be read the following: “Mateusz Morawiecki, the new Prime Minister of Poland, spoke about re-Christianizing Europe during the first interview after his nomination… Speaking about Polish mining and the problematic EU climate policy, he said, ‘we want to transform Europe.’ He digressed that his dream is to ‘re-Christianize Europe.’ Morawiecki specified that, ‘unfortunately, in many places, not only are Christmas Carols not sung, but churches are empty, and some are even turned into museums.’ Morawiecki welcomed the interviewer, Redemptorist Brother Piotr Dettlaff, with the greeting “Szczęść Boże...” It is still used today when addressing priests and members of religious orders.”5
However, it is not only the political leaders of Hungary and Poland that are calling for a return to “Christian” roots in Europe, a re-union of church and state, but also religious leaders across Europe. In fact, they are the ones inspiring the political leaders. Note the following news headlines: “Europe will be 'adrift' if it loses Christian roots, faith leaders warn;”6 Pope Francis sees hope for European Union, urges leaders to return to roots;”7 “Pope Francis reminds EU heads of their Christian roots;”8 and “Pope Francis Reminds Emmanuel Macron of France’s ‘Christian Tradition.’”9
Just as Hungary, Poland and the European Union is following America’s lead in making their countries “great again,” it should be understood what it was that did make America Great at its establishment, the principles of Republicanism and Protestantism. “Republicanism and Protestantism became the fundamental principles of the nation. These principles are the secret of its power and prosperity. The oppressed and downtrodden throughout Christendom have turned to this land with interest and hope. Millions have sought its shores, and the United States has risen to a place among the most powerful nations of the earth.”10 Once these principles are completely done away, neither America nor any other country that rejects these principles will be great; and national apostasy will be followed by national ruin.

The antichrist pope is moving forward with satan’s new world order agenda with the help of his co-horts in Washington DC, which is now under the Vatican’s control. The Vatican created Islam and Chrislam is currently being created, which will lead to the second martyrdom of Christians in Reevlation 20:4.
In Revelation 17:1-5, the whore of Babylon is the Roman church which sits on the seven hills of Rome. She is “[...] arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
Notice how the Roman church is decked with gold and precious stones and how her cardinals are dressed in purple and scarlet colour!
The Roman church is united with the Vatican to constitute a state and church union where the antichrist pope resides and manipulates world affairs through various groups including the Club of Rome, which divides the world into ten kingdoms. The kings of these ten kingdoms give their allegiance to the Roman pontiff or antichrist pope (Revelation 17:12) to create satan’s new world order, which is satan’s sadistic counterfeit version of the kingdom of God.
This is the same church organization – and her Protestant and SDA daughters – which the Father says in Revelation 18:4-5 to “Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.”
God’s warning is followed by the Roman church’s destruction in Revelation 19:2.

12.The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast.
13.These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.
14.These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful."
15.Then he said to me, "The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.
16.And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire.
17.For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled.

And no other power could be so truly declared "drunken with the blood of the saints" as that church which has so cruelly persecuted the followers of Christ."

The Beast (or nation) in Revelation 13:2 has the same characteristics as the 3 preceding nations before it. Daniel 7:3-8.
The 1260 years was from 538 AD to 1798 AD. After the Ostrogoths were destroyed in 538 AD, the Vatican formed as a church and state power. This power ended in 1798 AD with Napoleon and the French Revolution, where the Pope was taken captive to France and the Vatican ceased from being a political entity. This was the deadly wound in Revelation 13:3.
1260 years explained:

The Beast (or nation) in Revelation 13:2 has the same characteristics as the 3 preceding nations before it. Daniel 7:3-8.
The 1260 years was from 538 AD to 1798 AD. After the Ostrogoths were destroyed in 538 AD, the Vatican formed as a church and state power. This power ended in 1798 AD with Napoleon and the French Revolution, where the Pope was taken captive to France and the Vatican ceased from being a political entity. This was the deadly wound in Revelation 13:3.

The Scarlet Woman of Revelation 17

Our subject is the scarlet woman of Revelation 17, number nine in this series. In this message we shall deal with God’s final warning to the inhabitants of this world as found in Revelation 14:8. “And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” The rejection of this warning message will bring forth the wrath of God. Revelation 14:9-10 tells us, “The third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.”
You have listened to eight of these studies, and now I ask you to pay close attention as we put these divine predictions together. Before we do this we must pray for heavenly guidance. Our loving Father, we are nearing the end of the great controversy between Christ and Satan. Please open our understanding to these inspired prophecies so we may know what is expected of each of us to prepare for Christ’s Second Coming. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Today the entire world is captivated by the pope’s increasing political and religious dealings. This is exactly what God said would happen. Since 1929 the papal deadly wound has been healing. Revelation 13:3 tells us, “And his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.” In this our day almost every nation on earth has its ambassador to the Vatican. Even the United States of America has circumvented its Constitution by appointing an ambassador to the Vatican on January 10, 1984.
For some 25 years the Catholic ecumenical movement, planned by Vatican’s two councils, has been accomplishing its deadly purpose. Today it is no wonder that it has become unpopular to preach God’s warning message which you have been hearing on these tapes. In a book The Keys of This Blood , by Malachi Martin (a Jesuit), the struggle of the papacy to regain control of this world is clearly outlined on p. 15. I quote, “It is about who will establish the first one-world system of government in the society of nations. It is about who will hold and wield the dual power of authority and control over each of us as individuals and over all of us together as a community; over the entire six billion people are expected by demographers to inhabit the earth early in the third millennium.” Then just listen to this, “Our way of life as individuals and as citizens of the nations; our families and our jobs; our trade and commerce and money; our educational system and our religions and our cultures; even the badges of our national identity, which most of us have taken for granted – all will have been powerfully and radically altered forever. No one can be exempted from its effects. No sector of our lives will remain untouched.” This is a picture of what the papacy is planning to do when it will gain control of this world.
So few people seem to realize that the pope will become the head of the New World Order and rule the world through the United Nations. For some time it has been common knowledge that the Vatican has been asked to be seated as its world power in the United Nations. On October 5, 2003 the National Catholic Register officially took this step with the headline, “The Vatican is Open to the Full Membership of the United Nations,” p. 4. There is no question that the papacy is planning to rule the world.
Now let us look at the last universal world power of prophetic prophecy. You will find this in your visual aid – beast #8. Notice carefully the divine description as found in Revelation 17:1 – 5, “And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”
Before we study this tremendous prophecy let us briefly review what God has already revealed in Daniel 2, in Daniel 7 and in Revelation 12, 13 and 14. This will prepare us to understand the prophecy of the scarlet woman. Now, why has God seen it necessary to reveal the dragon power in four different prophecies? Because God, the Creator of our minds, knows the learning process which is so necessary to education. Thus the Lord teaches the simple before presenting the complex. Like a child entering school, he must first learn to add and subtract before he can master algebra or geometry.
Let us quickly review the most simple prophecy of Daniel 2. God begins with the image of a man whose head of gold represented the empire of Babylon (compare beast #2), the chest of silver represented Medo-Persia (beast #3) and the belly and thighs of brass representing Greece (beast #4), the legs of iron stood for pagan Rome and the feet with ten toes a mixture of iron and clay – the division of pagan Rome into ten kingdoms (as you compare beast #5) – out of which papal Rome developed to rule the world (as you find in your visual aid #6). This prophecy of the world kingdoms comes to an amazing climax with a mighty stone destroying the entire image structure representing what will take place at the Second Coming of Christ. For the scripture states, “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.” Daniel 2:44.
The second prophecy of world governments is found in Daniel 7 which gives the details of how each world kingdom developed and was overthrown by a succeeding power. For instance, the lion rose in 606 BC (beast #2) which is called Babylon, which had wings. Archeologists discovered this was the exact symbol of Babylon. Next came a bear in 538 BC (beast #3) which devoured the three ribs – or provinces – of Babylon and became lifted up on one side when the Persians overthrew the Medes. Then came the next, the leopard in 331 BC (beast #4) with wings revealing the swiftness in which Alexander the Great conquered the world. The four heads revealed that when Alexander died his four generals would rule in his stead. The next beast was known as pagan Rome in 168 BC (beast #5) which divided into ten kingdoms for it had ten horns. Three of these horns were then destroyed by a little horn, the papacy (beast #6) which spoke great words against the Most High God and wore out the saints of God with persecution and dared to change God’s eternal law by commanding all to keep Sunday sacred instead of the seventh-day Sabbath.
This power ruled the world for 1260 years. Here again God revealed the climax, for God holds a judgment session in heaven and sends Christ back to this earth to punish such wickedness as we read in Daniel 7:26, 27, “But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.”
Now this brings us to the third prophetic prophecy found in Revelation 12: 13, 14 which describes in detail the beginning of this dragon power controlling this world. It reveals how this war began in heaven and now continued on this earth (see beast #1). Revelation 12:3, 7- 9 reads, “And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. .. And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
This is an inspired description of the war that began in heaven and is continuing here on earth between the dragon’s church of pagan tradition and God’s true church which the Bible pictures as a pure woman. The scriptures give us the detail of how it began on earth when the old serpent (that’s Satan) beguiled Eve and Adam in the Garden of Eden. The war that started in heaven continues on this earth. God said in Genesis 3:15, “And I will put enmity (that’s war) between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”
Revelation 12 describes how the dragon used King Herod of pagan Rome (beast #5) to try to kill Baby Jesus. After some 33 years of harassing Christ finally he succeeded in deceiving the Jews to crucify their Messiah. However Christ arose victorious from His grave and returned to His Father in heaven after He had begun His New Testament church which replaced the Jewish Church. God’s true church is now represented by the woman and was continually persecuted for 1260 years during the papal reign as described in Revelation 13:1, 2. “I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” And it was given unto him to make war with the saints.
You will notice that these verses trace the devil’s kingdom back to the very beginning by naming each beast in reverse order (see beasts #5 – 1) such as the ten-horned beast of pagan Rome (beast #5). Next it takes us back to the leopard beast of Greece (beast #4), and then back to the beast of Medo-Persia (beast #3), then back to the lion of Babylon (beast #2), and finally to the dragon who is Satan (beast #1). Here God is tracing back through each kingdom revealing how Satan was able to give his great authority of paganism to the papacy.
Then inspiration adds the verse of Revelation 13:3, “And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.” This deadly wound took place in 1798 – the same date the United States of America was recognized as a new world power (beast #7). The papal deadly wound began to heal in 1929 when his temple kingdom was restored to the Vatican. Today the whole world wonders after the beast and the Bible predicts that the United States will enforce the papal mark of the beast. To make sure that no one could possible misunderstand who this beast is God has give us his number – 666 – that is found in his name.
These astounding facts are God’s final warning of Revelation 14:9-11. We read, “And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”
Here again the climax of this prophecy is revealed in the Second Coming of Christ who comes with a sharp sickle. I am reading in Revelation 14:14-16, “I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.” This scripture plainly states those who will be saved in this final harvest. I am reading verse 12, “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
Now with this background of three major Bible prophesies all related to the ending of the world, let us now study the fourth prophecy of the scarlet woman of Revelation 17. I am reading verses 1-5, “And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” (This is beast #8 on your visual aid).
Here is brought to view the final and complete destruction of papal power. We will list these divine predictions one by one.
You will notice that inspiration declares this evil woman sits on the beast. She is in absolute control. Her deadly wound has been healed. She has control of the whole world for the waters under the beast represent the peoples of the entire world as you read in Revelation 17:15, “The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.”
The beast upon which the harlot sits is the same papal beast as described in Revelation 13 (beast #6). However, since this prophecy is specifically dealing with its condition at the end of the world God now declares it a scarlet beast, the Biblical description used to designate her sins. Isaiah 1:18 says, “Though your sins be as scarlet,” … “For her sins have reached unto heaven,” Revelation 18:5.
Furthermore this papal power is given the name “Mystery, Babylon.” This terminology takes us back to the beginning of pagan doctrines. It was Nimrod who built the Tower of Babel on the plains of Shinar in defiance of God. He boasted that he could build a tower so high that it would reach unto heaven. Genesis 11:4. But now God declares her sins – those of modern Babylon – have indeed reached unto heaven. Revelation 18:5. When Nimrod died, this pagan religion of Satan taught that he went straight to the sun and became the sun-god to be worshiped by keeping Sunday as a holy day. His evil wife, Samiramus, who was also worshiped because she bore an illegitimate son whom she claimed was by a virgin birth, had a child who was born on December 25 and named Tammuz. He was killed in a wild boar hunt. Since he was supposed to be a holy child they declared forty days of a weeping vigil to be held each year. This was the beginning of pagan Sunday-keeping and worship of the Virgin Mary, and Christmas on the twenty-fifth of December, and the Catholic forty days of Lent. All this is paganism.
Inspiration declares this harlot woman to be a great city in Revelation 17:18, “And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.” This is a religious and a political power ruling the world and commanding obedience to her spiritual doctrines of tradition.
Revelation 16:19 declares, “And the great city was divided into three parts.” This is explained in verse 13, “And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.” The dragon is the author of paganism which is spiritualistic in doctrines as visualized in beast #1. The beast here mentioned is the papal power (beast #6) and the false prophet is apostate Protestantism (beast #7) which has made an image to the beast by obeying and enforcing the commands of the beast to keep Sunday instead of the Lord’s Day, the seventh-day Sabbath.
Let us now consider the words, “Drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.” Revelation 17:6. History verifies that this scarlet woman, the papacy, killed millions of Christians who would not obey the pope, and again in the very end time it will be a persecuting power.
Keep in mind the words of Revelation 17:5, “The mother of harlots.” This reveals that the ecumenical movement has accomplished its goal. Protestant churches no longer protest against the beast for they have accepted the papal invitation as “separated brethren” and have joined the papacy to enforce her doctrines.
As Christ revealed these mysteries John marveled. “And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.” Revelation 17:7. If John wondered, no wonder that all the world wonders after the beast!
Please take note: God emphasizes that this scarlet-colored beast is indeed the same beast of Revelation 13:3 (beast #6) for the wound has been healed. Revelation 17:8 clarifies this so there can be no doubt. “The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.” The words “the beast that was,” refers to the time period when the papal church ruled the world for 1260 years from 538 AD to 1798 AD at which time she received a deadly wound when the pope was taken prisoner and died in exile. The words “and is not” is the period of time from 1798 to 1929 when the papacy was no longer in control of the world because of its wound. The words “yet is” reveals that the wound that began to heal in 1929 when Mussolini returned the Vatican state to the pope is once again controlling the world affairs. Thus inspiration declare, “All the world wondered after the beast.” Revelation 13:3.
Revelation 17:12, 13 reveals that the United Nations would divide the world into ten sections, which it has already done. “And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.” This is verified by the enclosed visual aid chart of the ten kingdoms proposed by the club of Rome. The words “having one mind” reveal the entire world has united with the papacy, but only for a short time of one hour. The Bible prophecy tells us that a year stands for a day as found in Ezekiel 4:6. Therefore one hour is about 15 days. It is at this time that Christ will pour out the seven last plagues.
As we consider Revelation 17:10,11 keep in mind the time in which this is written by the apostle John some 66 years after the resurrection of Jesus. For this scripture states, “And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.” Paul who lived during this time wrote in 2 Thessalonians 2:7, “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work.” So consider the words “five are fallen.”
Our subject is the scarlet woman of Revelation 17, number nine in this series. In this message we shall deal with God’s final warning to the inhabitants of this world as found in Revelation 14:8. “And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” The rejection of this warning message will bring forth the wrath of God. Revelation 14:9-10 tells us, “The third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb.”
You have listened to eight of these studies, and now I ask you to pay close attention as we put these divine predictions together. Before we do this we must pray for heavenly guidance. Our loving Father, we are nearing the end of the great controversy between Christ and Satan. Please open our understanding to these inspired prophecies so we may know what is expected of each of us to prepare for Christ’s Second Coming. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
Today the entire world is captivated by the pope’s increasing political and religious dealings. This is exactly what God said would happen. Since 1929 the papal deadly wound has been healing. Revelation 13:3 tells us, “And his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.” In this our day almost every nation on earth has its ambassador to the Vatican. Even the United States of America has circumvented its Constitution by appointing an ambassador to the Vatican on January 10, 1984.
For some 25 years the Catholic ecumenical movement, planned by Vatican’s two councils, has been accomplishing its deadly purpose. Today it is no wonder that it has become unpopular to preach God’s warning message which you have been hearing on these tapes. In a book The Keys of This Blood , by Malachi Martin (a Jesuit), the struggle of the papacy to regain control of this world is clearly outlined on p. 15. I quote, “It is about who will establish the first one-world system of government in the society of nations. It is about who will hold and wield the dual power of authority and control over each of us as individuals and over all of us together as a community; over the entire six billion people are expected by demographers to inhabit the earth early in the third millennium.” Then just listen to this, “Our way of life as individuals and as citizens of the nations; our families and our jobs; our trade and commerce and money; our educational system and our religions and our cultures; even the badges of our national identity, which most of us have taken for granted – all will have been powerfully and radically altered forever. No one can be exempted from its effects. No sector of our lives will remain untouched.” This is a picture of what the papacy is planning to do when it will gain control of this world.
So few people seem to realize that the pope will become the head of the New World Order and rule the world through the United Nations. For some time it has been common knowledge that the Vatican has been asked to be seated as its world power in the United Nations. On October 5, 2003 the National Catholic Register officially took this step with the headline, “The Vatican is Open to the Full Membership of the United Nations,” p. 4. There is no question that the papacy is planning to rule the world.
Now let us look at the last universal world power of prophetic prophecy. You will find this in your visual aid – beast #8. Before we study this tremendous prophecy let us briefly review what God has already revealed in Daniel 2, in Daniel 7 and in Revelation 12, 13 and 14. This will prepare us to understand the prophecy of the scarlet woman. Now, why has God seen it necessary to reveal the dragon power in four different prophecies? Because God, the Creator of our minds, knows the learning process which is so necessary to education. Thus the Lord teaches the simple before presenting the complex. Like a child entering school, he must first learn to add and subtract before he can master algebra or geometry.
Let us quickly review the most simple prophecy of Daniel 2. God begins with the image of a man whose head of gold represented the empire of Babylon (compare beast #2), the chest of silver represented Medo-Persia (beast #3) and the belly and thighs of brass representing Greece (beast #4), the legs of iron stood for pagan Rome and the feet with ten toes a mixture of iron and clay – the division of pagan Rome into ten kingdoms (as you compare beast #5) – out of which papal Rome developed to rule the world (as you find in your visual aid #6). This prophecy of the world kingdoms comes to an amazing climax with a mighty stone destroying the entire image structure representing what will take place at the Second Coming of Christ. For the scripture states, “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.” Daniel 2:44.
The second prophecy of world governments is found in Daniel 7 which gives the details of how each world kingdom developed and was overthrown by a succeeding power. For instance, the lion rose in 606 BC (beast #2) which is called Babylon, which had wings. Archeologists discovered this was the exact symbol of Babylon. Next came a bear in 538 BC (beast #3) which devoured the three ribs – or provinces – of Babylon and became lifted up on one side when the Persians overthrew the Medes. Then came the next, the leopard in 331 BC (beast #4) with wings revealing the swiftness in which Alexander the Great conquered the world. The four heads revealed that when Alexander died his four generals would rule in his stead. The next beast was known as pagan Rome in 168 BC (beast #5) which divided into ten kingdoms for it had ten horns. Three of these horns were then destroyed by a little horn, the papacy (beast #6) which spoke great words against the Most High God and wore out the saints of God with persecution and dared to change God’s eternal law by commanding all to keep Sunday sacred instead of the seventh-day Sabbath.
This power ruled the world for 1260 years. Here again God revealed the climax, for God holds a judgment session in heaven and sends Christ back to this earth to punish such wickedness as we read in Daniel 7:26, 27, “But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.”
Now this brings us to the third prophetic prophecy found in Revelation 12: 13, 14 which describes in detail the beginning of this dragon power controlling this world. It reveals how this war began in heaven and now continued on this earth (see beast #1). Revelation 12:3, 7- 9 reads, “And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. .. And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
This is an inspired description of the war that began in heaven and is continuing here on earth between the dragon’s church of pagan tradition and God’s true church which the Bible pictures as a pure woman. The scriptures give us the detail of how it began on earth when the old serpent (that’s Satan) beguiled Eve and Adam in the Garden of Eden. The war that started in heaven continues on this earth. God said in Genesis 3:15, “And I will put enmity (that’s war) between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”
Revelation 12 describes how the dragon used King Herod of pagan Rome (beast #5) to try to kill Baby Jesus. After some 33 years of harassing Christ finally he succeeded in deceiving the Jews to crucify their Messiah. However Christ arose victorious from His grave and returned to His Father in heaven after He had begun His New Testament church which replaced the Jewish Church. God’s true church is now represented by the woman and was continually persecuted for 1260 years during the papal reign as described in Revelation 13:1, 2. “I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.” And it was given unto him to make war with the saints.
You will notice that these verses trace the devil’s kingdom back to the very beginning by naming each beast in reverse order (see beasts #5 – 1) such as the ten-horned beast of pagan Rome (beast #5). Next it takes us back to the leopard beast of Greece (beast #4), and then back to the beast of Medo-Persia (beast #3), then back to the lion of Babylon (beast #2), and finally to the dragon who is Satan (beast #1). Here God is tracing back through each kingdom revealing how Satan was able to give his great authority of paganism to the papacy.
Then inspiration adds the verse of Revelation 13:3, “And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.” This deadly wound took place in 1798 – the same date the United States of America was recognized as a new world power (beast #7). The papal deadly wound began to heal in 1929 when his temple kingdom was restored to the Vatican. Today the whole world wonders after the beast and the Bible predicts that the United States will enforce the papal mark of the beast. To make sure that no one could possible misunderstand who this beast is God has give us his number – 666 – that is found in his name.
These astounding facts are God’s final warning of Revelation 14:9-11. I am reading in Revelation 14:14-16, “I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.” This scripture plainly states those who will be saved in this final harvest. Thus five empires are fallen. Then Inspiration continues, “one is,” (which is papal Rome #6). Next the scripture states, “the other is not yet come,” (that’s beast #7 referring to the United States which did not exist when this verse was written). But the scripture says, “when he cometh he must continue a short space,” (which means a little while).
Now this brings us to Revelation 17:11. “And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.” The word “the beast that was” is the papal power (beast #6). The words “is not” speaks of the time when the wound was inflicted by Berthier who took the pope prisoner in 1798 to die in exile. The words, “even he is the eighth,” reveals that this is the same power which had emerged after the healing of the wound in 1929. The words, “of the seven,” reveal that the dragon power which was manifested in the past world empires (beasts #1-7) is now again existing in the scarlet woman – but God declares not for long because this time it goeth into perdition. She will be destroyed by the very nations which she has deceived.
So it is no wonder that we have come to a time when the pope boasts that soon the world will demand that he rule over them in the New World Order. This is what God said the papacy would do. I am reading Revelation 18:7. “I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.”
What made this possible? The papacy has succeeded in making all churches drink from its cup of false doctrines. Revelation 17:4 states, “Having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations … of her fornication.” Let us examine some of these lies found in her cup as time permits.
1) The papacy teaches that the soul never dies, but God says in Ezekiel 18:20, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.”
2) The papal church says that hell is burning now, but God says in 2 Peter 3:7, 12, “But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?”
3) The papal church says tradition, not the scripture, is the rock on which the church of Jesus Christ is built. But God says in 2 Timothy 3:16, 17, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
4) The papal church teaches that we should pray to Mary, but God says in Matthew 6:6, “ But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”
5) The papal church teaches (and this is found in Development of Christian Doctrine p. 272, 273 by Cardinal Newman), “The use of temples and these dedicated to particular saints and ornamented on occasion with branches of trees, incense, lamps, candles, votive offerings on recovering from illness, holy water, asylums, holy days and seasons, the use of vestments, to tonsure (the shaving of the head), the ring in marriage, turning to the east, images at a later date, perhaps the ecclesiastical chant (and notice these words) all are of pagan origin and sanctified by their adoption into the church.” Friend, this is why God says in Matthew 15:3, “Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?”
6) The papal church commands, “Keep the first day of the week and lo the whole entire civilized world bows reverent obedience to the commands of the Holy Catholic Church. It is the mark of our authority to overrule God’s law.” Father Enright, History of the Sabbath p. 802. But God says in Exodus 20: 8-10, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God.” “If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God. Revelation 14: 9,10.
We could present many more but time would not permit. Like the three major preceding prophecies of this dragon power this fourth prophecy of the scarlet woman ends with the battle in which Christ will be victorious by completely destroying the papal power with its United Nations. I am reading Revelation 17:14, “These shall make war with the Lamb.” But Revelation 19 describes the outcome, “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS….And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”
Beloved, on what side will you fight in this final battle soon to take place here on this earth? Will you be numbered with the dragon by accepting his traditions and receiving the mark of the beast or when Christ comes will He find you keeping His commandments and receive His seal of approval? How you answer will determine the difference between eternal life or eternal death. May God help you to obey Christ. Be aware, God has revealed how you can gain the victory with Him as found in Revelation 12:11, “And they overcame him (that’s the dragon) by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto death.”
Let us pray. Our loving Father, we must each make a decision now. Please help us to so live that we may be worthy of Thy great love by obeying Thy commandments to live eternally with Jesus. Open our eyes that we may see beneath the tinsel of temporal prosperity and realize that by obeying Satan, we can only gain in this life a life that ends in death, but by saying yes to Jesus, we will live eternally. Thank thee, dear God, for Thy precious gift of eternal life given to those who obey Him. Amen.

ROME
Eternal City, Perpetual Fire

And now we arrive in Rome, both the empire, the fourth and final beast of world history according to the prophet Daniel, and also the city at its center. This is the source of the myth of Romulus and Remus, twin sons of Mars (Nimrod), who both founded the city on seven hills. The hills are real, and the city is named in Scripture as the heart of the all-consuming harlot system called Babylon. (Revelation 17:9) This is the world power that remains until the Son of God descends from heaven with a shout and trumpet blast to put an end to all the substitutes and counterfeits. Romulus and Remus are merely distant echoes of Nimrod, the city founder of Mesopotamia, and also of Osiris and Seth of Egypt, one brother killing the other in a bid for supremacy. But Romulus and Remus are not important as Roman deities.
It is the temples on the seven hills that tell us who the people worshipped. Here we find the Sumerian father, mother and virgin intact, the son and seed at his most subtle, and the child in his mother’s arms. This umbilical cord leads all the way from Mesopotamia via Egypt, Canaan, Persia and especially Greece…to Rome. This is the city called "the eternal city." And so it is; a city of perpetual fire, at the center of a system reserved for everlasting flames. Let us start with her in popular worship, at the public forum and in every house.

"Vesta, Roman religion, goddess of the hearth, identified with the Greek Hestia…Her worship was observed in every household…and her image was sometimes encountered in the household shrine. The Temple of Vesta in the Roman Forum was of great antiquity…There burned the perpetual fire of the public hearth attended by the Vestal Virgins…In addition to the shrine itself and between it and the Velia stood the magnificent Atrium Vestae. This name was originally given to the whole sacred area comprising the Temple of Vesta, a sacred grove, the Regia (headquarters of the pontifex maximus, or chief priest), and the House of the Vestal." Hestia-Vesta is the third daughter of Cronus-Saturn, her sisters being Demeter (Rhea-Cybele) and Hera (Juno). Like her temple at the Acropolis in Athens, Vesta’s fire burned at the highest place in Rome, right next to the sacred trees and the seat of the Pontifex Maximus. Yes reader, that is the name now given to the Popes, the most devout worshippers of the Virgin Mary. The celibate nuns are none other than the continuance of the vestal virgins, and Rome is virtually grand central station for the great mother, woman, birthing goddess and virgin arriving from Greece, Babylon and Egypt in her every guise. Here she is as saviouress and a member of the capital city’s trinity.
"Juno, in Roman religion, chief goddess and female counterpart of Jupiter, closely resembling the Greek Hera, with whom she was universally identified…she was a member of the Capitoline triad of deities…traditionally introduced by the Etruscan kings. Juno was connected with all aspects of the life of women, most particularly married life. As Juno Lucina, goddess of childbirth, she had a temple on the Esquiline from the 4th century BC. In her role as female comforter she assumed various descriptive names. Individualized, she became a female guardian angel…As her cult expanded she assumed wider functions and became, like Hera, the principal female divinity of the state…originally as a saviour of women but eventually as saviour of the state." This wife of Jupiter (Zeus, Cush) is the ever-popular female comforter now blended into Mother Mary. Juno-Hera was “traditionally” brought to Rome by early Etruscan kings. According to the historian Herodotus, the Etruscans came from Asia Minor (Anatolia - literally “land of many mothers” - now modern Turkey) around 800 BC, but others say their origin is obscure. What is not obscure is that the gods of Asia Minor, especially those of Pergamon and Ephesus, are found on every one of the Seven Hills of Rome. Here is the Great Mother of Greece, Rhea, transformed into the Great Mother, Cybele, whose official title in Rome was Mater Deum Magna (Great Mother of the Gods).

She was associated with fruitfulness and had affinities with Gaea (Earth) and the Great Mother of the Gods. A daughter of Uranus (Heaven) and Gaea, she married her brother Cronus…" (Encyclopedia Britannica, Rhea, Std.Ver.1999) "Great Mother of the Gods, ancient Oriental-Greek-Roman deity commonly known as Cybele...under the empire it became one of the most important cults in the Roman world. In all of her aspects, Roman, Greek, and Oriental, the Great Mother was characterized by essentially the same qualities. Most prominent among them was her universal motherhood. Her priests castrated themselves on entering her service." (Encyclopaedia Britannica, Great Mother, 1974, IV: 700)
These are all prototypes of the Mother of God found in the Christian Church, whose celibate priests will be examined further as we focus on the counterfeit son. But first, to the father, Rhea’s brother and husband, the horned one, Cronus-Saturn who was thrown out of heaven.
Satan’s Birthday
"Saturn, in Roman religion, the god of sowing or seed. The Romans equated him with the Greek agricultural deity Cronus. Saturn's great festival, the Saturnalia, became the most popular of Roman festivals, and its influence is still felt in the celebration of Christmas and the Western world's New Year…It was the merriest festival of the year: all work and business were suspended…certain moral restrictions were eased; and presents were freely exchanged. The weekday Saturday was named for Saturn." (Encyclopedia Britannica, Saturn, Std.Ver.1999) "The Romans often cut down evergreens and decorated them to pay homage to Saturn, the god of farming." Of course this is not literally Satan’s birthday, because he was not created on earth, but it is the closest thing that men have invented to a birthday party for Lucifer. Make no mistake, reader, this is not the time of year that Christ was born. Shepherds did not sit in the fields in December, and no Roman census to count the population (which is why Jesus was born in Bethlehem; Luke 2:1-7) was ever held in winter when so much of the empire was under snow and roads impassable. This great festival comes from Mesopotamia, from the festivities of the original horned god-kings of Babel. Almost every aspect of the Cronus-Saturn celebration is intact in Christianity, the exchange of presents, the hanging of golden suns of Adonis-Osiris and silver stars of Ishtar-Venus on the sacred tree, the chopped yule logs of Osiris-Horus, and the wreaths and drinking cups of Bacchus. Add to this the rest of the general "easing of moral restrictions" such as sexual antics under mistletoes and other vegetation sprigs of the satyrs (mini woodland horned ones) and various fertility goddesses. The disciples of Christ never took part in this massive pagan-fest. But the early Christians certainly did, and today most churchmen who are equally aware of the dark origins of these rites remain unperturbed. Like the goats who were “willfully ignorant” of impending doom before the Flood (2 Peter 3:5) they remain adamant in keeping these satanic traditions.
Like the Israelites who made a golden calf of Osiris-Apis and called it YHWH (Exodus 32), Christians say they are now keeping customs from the Saturnalia in honour of the Lord. That complete lack of integrity makes it worse, not better. Ignorance might be grounds to plead mercy, but knowledge seals the death penalty in this matter. "You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are round about you...lest the anger of the Lord be kindled against you, and he destroy you off the face of the earth." (Deuteronomy 6:14) "In vain do you worship me," says the real Son of God, "teaching as truth the traditions of men." (Mark 7:6-8; Matthew 15:8,9)
The Magi of Persia gave gifts to Christ, not to each other, several days after his birth. The disciples of Christ never exchanged gifts on a birth date for Jesus, nor did they celebrate a birthday for him at all. They were instructed to give freely all the time. (Matthew 10:8) They were commanded to remember not his birth but his death, and this not at Easter (Ishtar) but at all times, as often as they drank wine and broke bread in their own homes. (Luke 22:19,20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
But the Church did not want a simple breaking of bread or Christ’s "royal priesthood" of believers. They wanted a "house of god" made with hands and a clergy to perform the sacraments of Mithra and other sungods of Asia and Egypt. They wanted everything Babel had to offer, and God gave them it all, in full measure, from the Pontifex Maximus to his college of cardinals and priests, along with the most offensive sacrament ever devised by these sons of disobedience, an abomination far greater than the offerings baked for the Queen of Heaven by the wicked Israelites in Egypt (Jeremiah 44). And for this they created a church calendar called the Ordo (Latin: series, sequence) to specify the days on which the abomination should be celebrated, as well as all the renamed pagan feasts and events to be kept in the “service” of God.
The Masters of Duplicity
"Janus, in Roman religion, the animistic spirit of doorways (januae) and archways (jani). The worship of Janus traditionally dated back to Romulus and a period even before the actual founding of the city of Rome…Some scholars regard Janus as the god of all beginnings and believe that his association with doorways is derivative. He was invoked as the first of any gods in regular liturgies. The beginning of the day, month, and year, both calendrical and agricultural, were sacred to him. The month of January is named for him…There were several important temples erected to Janus, and it is assumed that there was also an early cult on the Janiculum, which the ancients took to mean 'the city of Janus.' Janus was represented by a double-faced head, and he was represented in art either with or without a beard." (Encyclopedia Britannica, Janus, Std.Ver.1999)
Janus is yet another Romanized form of Tammuz. He is one of the oldest of all the Roman gods, sometimes regarded as the very first deified god-king of Italy and given the title "god of gods." Of all the versions of Nimrod the son of Cush, Janus was one of the most significant counterfeit sons to be absorbed by the early Christian Church, playing a role as important as that of Mithra and Sol. He was the substitute for the real Door. His priests were called cardinals, from the Latin word cardinis, meaning hinge. The sacred symbols of this counterfeit and his assistants who unlocked and opened doors were, quite naturally, keys. Early Christians were quick to blend the literal image of these keys with the figurative keys that Christ conferred upon his apostle Peter, and they likewise deliberately confused Peter with the rock (recognition of the real Son and Word of God) that Jesus revealed to him. (Matthew 16:15-19, for details see Chapter 2, Wrong Name, The Truth Which Sets Free) Making the claim that the Roman pontiff was an apostle, the successor of Peter, the Christians merged both Jesus and Janus into the same entranceway so subtly that the priests of the hinge could go on serving the false door and shepherd in the name of Christ. The effect was stunning. The resulting flock was nothing like Christ’s sheep but instead a congregation of Christian goats, a vast multitude of them.
Christians had long been putting all the myths into a melting pot but it was actually Emperor Constantine that opened the floodgates for the Church when he blended Christ with the solar deity Sol Invictus (the invincible sun). Sol had long been a favourite god in Rome, a mixture of Mithra from Persia, Apollo from Greece and the Egyptian sungods Helios and Aten. It would be natural to place the "birthday" of the solar god during the shortest period of sunlight in the year, after which the days grew longer. Emperor Aurelian had already built a magnificent temple to Sol in Rome and dedicated it on December 25th. "The emperor Aurelian introduced an official religion of Sol Invictus in AD 270, making the sun-god the premier divinity of the empire, and wearing his rayed crown himself...Aurelian’s Sol borrowed many features from Mithraism, including the iconographical representation of the god as a beardless youth. Aurelian dedicated the Sol Invictus Temple on December 25, 274 (AD) in a festival called dies natalis Solis Invicti or birthday of the invincible Sun." (Wikipedia, Sol Invictus)
Both Saturn and Sol are intimately associated with the Christians’ choice of December 25 as their big day. And they know it. "The well-known solar feast, however, of Natalis Invicti, celebrated on 25 December, has a strong claim on the responsibility for our December date" and "from the beginning of the third century ‘Sun of Justice’ was used as a title of Christ." (New Catholic Encyclopedia, Christmas) "According to the New Catholic Encyclopedia (1967) article on Constantine the Great: Sol Invictus had been adopted by the Church of Rome as evidenced by Christ (portrayed) as Apollo-Helios in a mausoleum discovered under St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City and dated to 250 (AD)...The date for Christmas may also bear a relation to sun worship…According to the scriptor Syrus, writing in the fourth century: ‘It was a custom of the Pagans to celebrate on the same 25 December the birthday of the Sun, at which they kindled lights in token of festivity. In these solemnities and revelries the Christians also took part. Accordingly when the doctors of the Church perceived that the Christians had a leaning to this festival, they took counsel and resolved that the true Nativity should be solemnized on that day.’" (Wikipedia, Sol Invictus) Christians of practically every sect still blend Christ with the sun in "sunrise services" at the second most important pagan festival of Easter (Ishtar).
This is all a continuation of the subtle mix used so successfully by Constantine, the classic Christian. Like Janus, Constantine was two-faced. He minted coins for Sol while adopting a semblance of belief in Christ, and he conferred upon himself the title of Pontifex Maximus, becoming Emperor and High Priest rolled into one, a position worthy of the Zzars of Babel. The Bishop of Rome, a spin "doctor of the Church" without equal, had a similar "leaning" and double intent when he took for himself the title Pontifex Maximus (Supreme Pontiff) as well as "Holy Father" and "Vicar (Substitute) of Christ." Far from imitating or remotely obeying the Son of God that he claims to follow, he walks instead in the garments of Tammuz-Osiris, carries the staff of Tammuz-Osiris, and wears the combined hat of Dagon, Baal, Tammuz and Osiris. His priests are the rightful successors to the priests of Zeus (Cush) in Pergamon, and his throne most definitely belongs in Rome. This "apostle" is indeed the successor of one of the disciples of Christ, but it is not Peter. And like the apostle he resembles, he is the only one in Scripture to be personally possessed by Satan to perform his inescapable destiny: selling out the real Son of God before ultimately perishing. Mysteries in the Dark
A priesthood is rarely successful unless it builds a church and keeps its pew-sitters in the dark. That is exactly what the ancient priests of Mesopotamia knew. First build a house for the god, then officiate over mysterious rites that only priests can truly understand and perform. In Babylon "the sense of mystery, of the divine and secret, was further strengthened by the retention of Sumerian as the religious and sacred language; Sumerian was the source of all culture for the Assyro-Babylonians, and its use was also a tribute to a people to whom they owed a great deal of their science." (Archaeologia Mundi: Mesopotamia, Margueron, p.177) Roman priests learned this lesson well, retaining ancient Latin as the language for their mumbo-jumbo, in all their incantations. The word "hocus-pocus" comes from the utterance "hoc est me corpus" (this is my body) in the most important rite that they ever perfected.
Unlike the broken pieces of ordinary bread that Christ shared with his elect, the bread of the counterfeits had to be whole and intact. In fact each of the breads was round, in the shape of the sungod, whether that was female (Isis cakes) or male (Mithra breads). These ceremonies and commonly shared meals were "constitutive features of the mystery societies, which reached their peak of popularity in the first three centuries of the Christian era." (Encyclopaedia Britannica, Mystery religions, 1974, VII: 153) The mystery bread was literally considered to be the god himself, and thus the consumer actually ate his deity, partaking of his divine nature. And only the priests could turn the grain into god and dole him out.
This is what the early Christians blended with the simple supper of Christ and substituted for that commemorative meal. Some still serve these sun-breads or wafers from a monstrance, a sun-shaped vessel, containing the "host" (the god). The word "monstrance" was derived from the Latin verb to "demonstrate," in this case to "show" the priests’ magic creation, but in fact they had concocted a "monstrosity," the spiritual atrocity of the ages, confusing the pagan rite with the Lord’s most intimate part of an ordinary meal that was designed for his elect. This is the "abomination" that the "little horn" of the fourth beast of Daniel instituted, replacing the household bread-breaking that Jesus entrusted to his elect with a sacrament of the sons of Babel. They replacing the finished work and end-all sacrifice of the Son of God (who rendered all temples and priests obsolete) with an ongoing sacrifice administered by a new order of priests in a new church. And they did it in the name of Jesus Christ. The Catholic Dictionary defines this ritual as, "the unbloody Sacrifice of Calvary; the Sacrifice of the Eucharist; the highest act of worship in the Catholic Church which is offered up by a priest in the place of Christ himself." Countless millions "celebrate" this rite every week, the greatest insult to the real God and Father ever perpetrated by the goats in the name of his Son.
You may think that this kind of error is merely confined to the Roman, Orthodox or "high" churches with their incense-wielding priests. Not so. Protestants and other sects of practically every persuasion have similar obsessions with how to perform their "sacraments," such as exactly how to cut the bread, which way to administer the water in baptism, and what "duly qualified minister" may do so. And in most cases their "festivals" and "gospels" are no different from those of Rome. That is why they are so easily being drawn back into the Great Mother Church. Billy-goat Graham and other popular "evangelists" have no defense against the dark lord of Babel because they are already in his domain, part of the daughter churches spawned from the original. They are as much in love with a "house of god" and a substitute Christ as any Sumerian ever was. The same confusion exists throughout Christianity, whether it is in Orthodox, Coptic, Protestant or any other sectarian circles, a deep-rooted belief in churchmanship, in belonging to a church and accepting the words of the clergy. This has nothing to do with true discipleship, it is a cult concept invented in Babel, found throughout world religion, cherished by priests and swallowed by pew-sitters. And it was perfected in Jesus’ name by Mother Rome. Instead of sheep with God-given individual faith, this religion produces a mass of goats, with church-created herd faith, and deliberately confuses them with God’s elect. Here it is, perfectly defined by the founder of the "Society of Jesus" (Jesuits) a champion of churchmanship and primary agent of Satan’s ace card. "That we may be altogether of the same mind and in conformity with the Church herself, if she shall have defined anything to be black which to our eyes appears to be white, we ought in like manner to pronounce it to be black. For we must undoubtedly believe that the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of the Orthodox Church His Spouse, by which Spirit we are governed and directed to Salvation, is the same." (Ignatius Loyola, Spiritual Exercises, No.13)
It is no wonder that the word Jesuit is now defined in many dictionaries to mean "one who is devious or untrustworthy." But this is the spirit of the Church, and it is nothing like the Spirit of God. It is a very dark substitute. The seven-hilled city of Rome is without a doubt the resurrected neo-Babylon of Scripture, the "mystery" (in the apostle John’s time) that is no longer a mystery, specifically identified as "Babylon the great, mother of harlots and of earth’s abominations." (Revelation 17:5,9,18) From here we can follow the progress of the Mesopotamian model into the West with ease. But it also took an eastern route, through India and the Far East, and evidence of that can clearly be found all the way to the New World. And of course there is the religion of Cush in Africa and Ishmael in Arabia. But the first and most logical step now is to examine Europe, to which Rome exported many Babylonian replicas, followed by a second helping of Church clones.
Even to the farthest reaches of Northern Europe, we can find Bel or Baal’s identity in the storm god Thor and the widely worshipped Odin, revered in the great winter festival of Yuletide, also called “The Feast of the Dead,” a celebration full of “devilish spirits.” This was indeed a feast for the dead goats of the world, and still is. When the first “missionaries” began “converting the Germanic peoples to Christianity,” they found it convenient to “allow the celebrations themselves to go on largely unchanged, versus trying to confront and suppress them.” Pope Gregory I, himself one of those early messengers, advocated that “converting heathens is easier if they are allowed to retain the outward forms of their traditional pagan practices and traditions” and he justified this as permissible if it was done in God’s name and to His glory. "Vesta, Roman religion, goddess of the hearth, identified with the Greek Hestia…Her worship was observed in every household…and her image was sometimes encountered in the household shrine. The Temple of Vesta in the Roman Forum was of great antiquity…There burned the perpetual fire of the public hearth attended by the Vestal Virgins…In addition to the shrine itself and between it and the Velia stood the magnificent Atrium Vestae. This name was originally given to the whole sacred area comprising the Temple of Vesta, a sacred grove, the Regia (headquarters of the pontifex maximus, or chief priest), and the House of the Vestal." Hestia-Vesta is the third daughter of Cronus-Saturn, her sisters being Demeter (Rhea-Cybele) and Hera (Juno). Like her temple at the Acropolis in Athens, Vesta’s fire burned at the highest place in Rome, right next to the sacred trees and the seat of the Pontifex Maximus. Yes reader, that is the name now given to the Popes, the most devout worshippers of the Virgin Mary. The celibate nuns are none other than the continuance of the vestal virgins, and Rome is virtually grand central station for the great mother, woman, birthing goddess and virgin arriving from Greece, Babylon and Egypt in her every guise. Here she is as saviouress and a member of the capital city’s trinity.
"Juno, in Roman religion, chief goddess and female counterpart of Jupiter, closely resembling the Greek Hera, with whom she was universally identified…she was a member of the Capitoline triad of deities…traditionally introduced by the Etruscan kings. Juno was connected with all aspects of the life of women, most particularly married life. As Juno Lucina, goddess of childbirth, she had a temple on the Esquiline from the 4th century BC. In her role as female comforter she assumed various descriptive names. Individualized, she became a female guardian angel…As her cult expanded she assumed wider functions and became, like Hera, the principal female divinity of the state…originally as a saviour of women but eventually as saviour of the state." (Encyclopedia Britannica, Juno, Std.Ver.1999)
This wife of Jupiter (Zeus, Cush) is the ever-popular female comforter now blended into Mother Mary. Juno-Hera was “traditionally” brought to Rome by early Etruscan kings. According to the historian Herodotus, the Etruscans came from Asia Minor (Anatolia - literally “land of many mothers” - now modern Turkey) around 800 BC, but others say their origin is obscure. What is not obscure is that the gods of Asia Minor, especially those of Pergamon and Ephesus, are found on every one of the Seven Hills of Rome. Here is the Great Mother of Greece, Rhea, transformed into the Great Mother, Cybele, whose official title in Rome was Mater Deum Magna (Great Mother of the Gods).

She was associated with fruitfulness and had affinities with Gaea (Earth) and the Great Mother of the Gods. A daughter of Uranus (Heaven) and Gaea, she married her brother Cronus…" (Encyclopedia Britannica, Rhea, Std.Ver.1999) "Great Mother of the Gods, ancient Oriental-Greek-Roman deity commonly known as Cybele...under the empire it became one of the most important cults in the Roman world. In all of her aspects, Roman, Greek, and Oriental, the Great Mother was characterized by essentially the same qualities. Most prominent among them was her universal motherhood. Her priests castrated themselves on entering her service." (Encyclopaedia Britannica, Great Mother, 1974, IV: 700)
These are all prototypes of the Mother of God found in the Christian Church, whose celibate priests will be examined further as we focus on the counterfeit son. But first, to the father, Rhea’s brother and husband, the horned one, Cronus-Saturn who was thrown out of heaven.
Satan’s Birthday
"Saturn, in Roman religion, the god of sowing or seed. The Romans equated him with the Greek agricultural deity Cronus. Saturn's great festival, the Saturnalia, became the most popular of Roman festivals, and its influence is still felt in the celebration of Christmas and the Western world's New Year…It was the merriest festival of the year: all work and business were suspended…certain moral restrictions were eased; and presents were freely exchanged. The weekday Saturday was named for Saturn." (Encyclopedia Britannica, Saturn, Std.Ver.1999) "The Romans often cut down evergreens and decorated them to pay homage to Saturn, the god of farming." Of course this is not literally Satan’s birthday, because he was not created on earth, but it is the closest thing that men have invented to a birthday party for Lucifer. Make no mistake, reader, this is not the time of year that Christ was born. Shepherds did not sit in the fields in December, and no Roman census to count the population (which is why Jesus was born in Bethlehem; Luke 2:1-7) was ever held in winter when so much of the empire was under snow and roads impassable. This great festival comes from Mesopotamia, from the festivities of the original horned god-kings of Babel. Almost every aspect of the Cronus-Saturn celebration is intact in Christianity, the exchange of presents, the hanging of golden suns of Adonis-Osiris and silver stars of Ishtar-Venus on the sacred tree, the chopped yule logs of Osiris-Horus, and the wreaths and drinking cups of Bacchus. Add to this the rest of the general "easing of moral restrictions" such as sexual antics under mistletoes and other vegetation sprigs of the satyrs (mini woodland horned ones) and various fertility goddesses. The disciples of Christ never took part in this massive pagan-fest. But the early Christians certainly did, and today most churchmen who are equally aware of the dark origins of these rites remain unperturbed. Like the goats who were “willfully ignorant” of impending doom before the Flood (2 Peter 3:5) they remain adamant in keeping these satanic traditions.
Like the Israelites who made a golden calf of Osiris-Apis and called it YHWH (Exodus 32), Christians say they are now keeping customs from the Saturnalia in honour of the Lord. That complete lack of integrity makes it worse, not better. Ignorance might be grounds to plead mercy, but knowledge seals the death penalty in this matter. "You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are round about you...lest the anger of the Lord be kindled against you, and he destroy you off the face of the earth." (Deuteronomy 6:14) "In vain do you worship me," says the real Son of God, "teaching as truth the traditions of men." (Mark 7:6-8; Matthew 15:8,9)
The Magi of Persia gave gifts to Christ, not to each other, several days after his birth. The disciples of Christ never exchanged gifts on a birth date for Jesus, nor did they celebrate a birthday for him at all. They were instructed to give freely all the time. (Matthew 10:8) They were commanded to remember not his birth but his death, and this not at Easter (Ishtar) but at all times, as often as they drank wine and broke bread in their own homes. (Luke 22:19,20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
But the Church did not want a simple breaking of bread or Christ’s "royal priesthood" of believers. They wanted a "house of god" made with hands and a clergy to perform the sacraments of Mithra and other sungods of Asia and Egypt. They wanted everything Babel had to offer, and God gave them it all, in full measure, from the Pontifex Maximus to his college of cardinals and priests, along with the most offensive sacrament ever devised by these sons of disobedience, an abomination far greater than the offerings baked for the Queen of Heaven by the wicked Israelites in Egypt (Jeremiah 44). And for this they created a church calendar called the Ordo (Latin: series, sequence) to specify the days on which the abomination should be celebrated, as well as all the renamed pagan feasts and events to be kept in the “service” of God.
The Masters of Duplicity
"Janus, in Roman religion, the animistic spirit of doorways (januae) and archways (jani). The worship of Janus traditionally dated back to Romulus and a period even before the actual founding of the city of Rome…Some scholars regard Janus as the god of all beginnings and believe that his association with doorways is derivative. He was invoked as the first of any gods in regular liturgies. The beginning of the day, month, and year, both calendrical and agricultural, were sacred to him. The month of January is named for him…There were several important temples erected to Janus, and it is assumed that there was also an early cult on the Janiculum, which the ancients took to mean 'the city of Janus.' Janus was represented by a double-faced head, and he was represented in art either with or without a beard." (Encyclopedia Britannica, Janus, Std.Ver.1999)
Janus is yet another Romanized form of Tammuz. He is one of the oldest of all the Roman gods, sometimes regarded as the very first deified god-king of Italy and given the title "god of gods." Of all the versions of Nimrod the son of Cush, Janus was one of the most significant counterfeit sons to be absorbed by the early Christian Church, playing a role as important as that of Mithra and Sol. He was the substitute for the real Door. His priests were called cardinals, from the Latin word cardinis, meaning hinge. The sacred symbols of this counterfeit and his assistants who unlocked and opened doors were, quite naturally, keys. Early Christians were quick to blend the literal image of these keys with the figurative keys that Christ conferred upon his apostle Peter, and they likewise deliberately confused Peter with the rock (recognition of the real Son and Word of God) that Jesus revealed to him. (Matthew 16:15-19, for details see Chapter 2, Wrong Name, The Truth Which Sets Free) Making the claim that the Roman pontiff was an apostle, the successor of Peter, the Christians merged both Jesus and Janus into the same entranceway so subtly that the priests of the hinge could go on serving the false door and shepherd in the name of Christ. The effect was stunning. The resulting flock was nothing like Christ’s sheep but instead a congregation of Christian goats, a vast multitude of them.
Christians had long been putting all the myths into a melting pot but it was actually Emperor Constantine that opened the floodgates for the Church when he blended Christ with the solar deity Sol Invictus (the invincible sun). Sol had long been a favourite god in Rome, a mixture of Mithra from Persia, Apollo from Greece and the Egyptian sungods Helios and Aten. It would be natural to place the "birthday" of the solar god during the shortest period of sunlight in the year, after which the days grew longer. Emperor Aurelian had already built a magnificent temple to Sol in Rome and dedicated it on December 25th. "The emperor Aurelian introduced an official religion of Sol Invictus in AD 270, making the sun-god the premier divinity of the empire, and wearing his rayed crown himself...Aurelian’s Sol borrowed many features from Mithraism, including the iconographical representation of the god as a beardless youth. Aurelian dedicated the Sol Invictus Temple on December 25, 274 (AD) in a festival called dies natalis Solis Invicti or birthday of the invincible Sun." (Wikipedia, Sol Invictus)
Both Saturn and Sol are intimately associated with the Christians’ choice of December 25 as their big day. And they know it. "The well-known solar feast, however, of Natalis Invicti, celebrated on 25 December, has a strong claim on the responsibility for our December date" and "from the beginning of the third century ‘Sun of Justice’ was used as a title of Christ." (New Catholic Encyclopedia, Christmas) "According to the New Catholic Encyclopedia (1967) article on Constantine the Great: Sol Invictus had been adopted by the Church of Rome as evidenced by Christ (portrayed) as Apollo-Helios in a mausoleum discovered under St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City and dated to 250 (AD)...The date for Christmas may also bear a relation to sun worship…According to the scriptor Syrus, writing in the fourth century: ‘It was a custom of the Pagans to celebrate on the same 25 December the birthday of the Sun, at which they kindled lights in token of festivity. In these solemnities and revelries the Christians also took part. Accordingly when the doctors of the Church perceived that the Christians had a leaning to this festival, they took counsel and resolved that the true Nativity should be solemnized on that day.’" (Wikipedia, Sol Invictus) Christians of practically every sect still blend Christ with the sun in "sunrise services" at the second most important pagan festival of Easter (Ishtar).
This is all a continuation of the subtle mix used so successfully by Constantine, the classic Christian. Like Janus, Constantine was two-faced. He minted coins for Sol while adopting a semblance of belief in Christ, and he conferred upon himself the title of Pontifex Maximus, becoming Emperor and High Priest rolled into one, a position worthy of the Zzars of Babel. The Bishop of Rome, a spin "doctor of the Church" without equal, had a similar "leaning" and double intent when he took for himself the title Pontifex Maximus (Supreme Pontiff) as well as "Holy Father" and "Vicar (Substitute) of Christ." Far from imitating or remotely obeying the Son of God that he claims to follow, he walks instead in the garments of Tammuz-Osiris, carries the staff of Tammuz-Osiris, and wears the combined hat of Dagon, Baal, Tammuz and Osiris. His priests are the rightful successors to the priests of Zeus (Cush) in Pergamon, and his throne most definitely belongs in Rome. This "apostle" is indeed the successor of one of the disciples of Christ, but it is not Peter. And like the apostle he resembles, he is the only one in Scripture to be personally possessed by Satan to perform his inescapable destiny: selling out the real Son of God before ultimately perishing. Mysteries in the Dark
A priesthood is rarely successful unless it builds a church and keeps its pew-sitters in the dark. That is exactly what the ancient priests of Mesopotamia knew. First build a house for the god, then officiate over mysterious rites that only priests can truly understand and perform. In Babylon "the sense of mystery, of the divine and secret, was further strengthened by the retention of Sumerian as the religious and sacred language; Sumerian was the source of all culture for the Assyro-Babylonians, and its use was also a tribute to a people to whom they owed a great deal of their science." (Archaeologia Mundi: Mesopotamia, Margueron, p.177) Roman priests learned this lesson well, retaining ancient Latin as the language for their mumbo-jumbo, in all their incantations. The word "hocus-pocus" comes from the utterance "hoc est me corpus" (this is my body) in the most important rite that they ever perfected.
Unlike the broken pieces of ordinary bread that Christ shared with his elect, the bread of the counterfeits had to be whole and intact. In fact each of the breads was round, in the shape of the sungod, whether that was female (Isis cakes) or male (Mithra breads). These ceremonies and commonly shared meals were "constitutive features of the mystery societies, which reached their peak of popularity in the first three centuries of the Christian era." (Encyclopaedia Britannica, Mystery religions, 1974, VII: 153) The mystery bread was literally considered to be the god himself, and thus the consumer actually ate his deity, partaking of his divine nature. And only the priests could turn the grain into god and dole him out.
This is what the early Christians blended with the simple supper of Christ and substituted for that commemorative meal. Some still serve these sun-breads or wafers from a monstrance, a sun-shaped vessel, containing the "host" (the god). The word "monstrance" was derived from the Latin verb to "demonstrate," in this case to "show" the priests’ magic creation, but in fact they had concocted a "monstrosity," the spiritual atrocity of the ages, confusing the pagan rite with the Lord’s most intimate part of an ordinary meal that was designed for his elect. This is the "abomination" that the "little horn" of the fourth beast of Daniel instituted, replacing the household bread-breaking that Jesus entrusted to his elect with a sacrament of the sons of Babel. They replacing the finished work and end-all sacrifice of the Son of God (who rendered all temples and priests obsolete) with an ongoing sacrifice administered by a new order of priests in a new church. And they did it in the name of Jesus Christ. The Catholic Dictionary defines this ritual as, "the unbloody Sacrifice of Calvary; the Sacrifice of the Eucharist; the highest act of worship in the Catholic Church which is offered up by a priest in the place of Christ himself." Countless millions "celebrate" this rite every week, the greatest insult to the real God and Father ever perpetrated by the goats in the name of his Son.
You may think that this kind of error is merely confined to the Roman, Orthodox or "high" churches with their incense-wielding priests. Not so. Protestants and other sects of practically every persuasion have similar obsessions with how to perform their "sacraments," such as exactly how to cut the bread, which way to administer the water in baptism, and what "duly qualified minister" may do so. And in most cases their "festivals" and "gospels" are no different from those of Rome. That is why they are so easily being drawn back into the Great Mother Church. Billy-goat Graham and other popular "evangelists" have no defense against the dark lord of Babel because they are already in his domain, part of the daughter churches spawned from the original. They are as much in love with a "house of god" and a substitute Christ as any Sumerian ever was. The same confusion exists throughout Christianity, whether it is in Orthodox, Coptic, Protestant or any other sectarian circles, a deep-rooted belief in churchmanship, in belonging to a church and accepting the words of the clergy. This has nothing to do with true discipleship, it is a cult concept invented in Babel, found throughout world religion, cherished by priests and swallowed by pew-sitters. And it was perfected in Jesus’ name by Mother Rome. Instead of sheep with God-given individual faith, this religion produces a mass of goats, with church-created herd faith, and deliberately confuses them with God’s elect. Here it is, perfectly defined by the founder of the "Society of Jesus" (Jesuits) a champion of churchmanship and primary agent of Satan’s ace card. "That we may be altogether of the same mind and in conformity with the Church herself, if she shall have defined anything to be black which to our eyes appears to be white, we ought in like manner to pronounce it to be black. For we must undoubtedly believe that the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Spirit of the Orthodox Church His Spouse, by which Spirit we are governed and directed to Salvation, is the same." (Ignatius Loyola, Spiritual Exercises, No.13)
It is no wonder that the word Jesuit is now defined in many dictionaries to mean "one who is devious or untrustworthy." But this is the spirit of the Church, and it is nothing like the Spirit of God. It is a very dark substitute. The seven-hilled city of Rome is without a doubt the resurrected neo-Babylon of Scripture, the "mystery" (in the apostle John’s time) that is no longer a mystery, specifically identified as "Babylon the great, mother of harlots and of earth’s abominations." (Revelation 17:5,9,18) From here we can follow the progress of the Mesopotamian model into the West with ease. But it also took an eastern route, through India and the Far East, and evidence of that can clearly be found all the way to the New World. And of course there is the religion of Cush in Africa and Ishmael in Arabia. But the first and most logical step now is to examine Europe, to which Rome exported many Babylonian replicas, followed by a second helping of Church clones.
Even to the farthest reaches of Northern Europe, we can find Bel or Baal’s identity in the storm god Thor and the widely worshipped Odin, revered in the great winter festival of Yuletide, also called “The Feast of the Dead,” a celebration full of “devilish spirits.” This was indeed a feast for the dead goats of the world, and still is. When the first “missionaries” began “converting the Germanic peoples to Christianity,” they found it convenient to “allow the celebrations themselves to go on largely unchanged, versus trying to confront and suppress them.” Pope Gregory I, himself one of those early messengers, advocated that “converting heathens is easier if they are allowed to retain the outward forms of their traditional pagan practices and traditions” and he justified this as permissible if it was done in God’s name and to His glory. (Wikipedia, Yuletide) This was nothing new. Christians have adhered to this religious strategy ever since they created and refined this counterfeit faith in the first few centuries AD.
