Pope Cautions Against Apocalyptic Alarm

ZE08121404 - 2008-12-14

Says With Christ's Coming, It Is Love That Is Near

VATICAN CITY, DEC. 14, 2008 (Zenit.org).- From the beginning of Christianity, the Church has been encouraging the faithful to await Christ's return with tranquility, not with a spirit of alarm, says Benedict XVI.

The Pope said this today when he addressed the faithful gathered in St. Peter's Square to pray the midday Angelus.

The Holy Father recalled that today, the third Sunday of Advent, is called "Gaudete" or "Rejoice" Sunday, "following the entrance antiphon of the holy Mass that takes up St. Paul's expression in his Letter to the Philippians, which says: 'Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I tell you: Rejoice.'"

He noted that St. Paul immediately explains why there should be rejoicing: "'The Lord is near.' This is the reason for joy. But what is meant by 'The Lord is near'? How are we to understand this 'nearness' of God?"

The Pontiff said that Paul was "obviously thinking about Christ's return, and he invites [the Christians of Philippi] to rejoice because this return is certain. Nevertheless, the same St. Paul, in his first Letter to the Thessalonians, warns that no one can know the moment of the Lord's return and puts them on guard against all alarmism, as if the Lord's return were imminent."

Thus, the Bishop of Rome affirmed, the Church already then, "enlightened by the Holy Spirit, understood more and more that the 'nearness' of God is not a question of space and time, but rather a question of love: Love is near!"

"Christmas will come," he concluded, "to remind us of this fundamental truth of our faith and, before the crèche, taste Christian joy, contemplating in the face of the newborn Jesus the God who drew near to us for love."

Cyber cops on their way?

Obama urged to establish new office for regulating Internet

WorldNetDaily

A panel of web experts from government, private and the military sectors released a report yesterday urging the next president to establish a new office of cyberspace security and begin federal regulation of the Internet.

The report, "Securing Cyberspace for the 44th Presidency," from the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Washington, D.C., think tank established during the Cold War, alleges the Department of Homeland Security has failed to secure the Internet and new measures are needed – despite inevitable concerns about online privacy – to keep America safe.

"We still have an industrial-age government that was organized a century ago," said Jim Lewis, one of CSIS's directors, as reported by the San Francisco Chronicle. "The DHS has a 1970s-style solution to a 21st century problem."

"The United States must treat cybersecurity as one of the most important national security challenges it faces," the CSIS panel asserts in its report. "This is a strategic issue on par with weapons of mass destruction and global jihad."

To back its claim, the panel cites a litany of cybersecurity breaches that it claims hit sensitive areas in 2007 alone:

"The unclassified e-mail of the secretary of defense was hacked, and DOD officials told us that the department's computers are probed hundreds of thousands of times each day," the panel reports. "A senior official at the Department of State told us the department had lost 'terabytes' of information. Homeland Security suffered break-ins in several of its divisions, including the Transportation Security Agency. The Department of Commerce was forced to take the Bureau of Industry and Security off-line for several months, and NASA has had to impose e-mail restrictions before shuttle launches and allegedly has seen designs for new launchers compromised.

"Recently the White House itself had to deal with unidentifiable intrusions in its networks," the report continues. "Senior representatives from the intelligence community told us that they had conclusive evidence, covertly obtained from foreign sources, that U.S. companies have lost billions in intellectual property."

To counter the reported attacks, the panel recommends steps that, by the CSIS' own admission, may raise privacy concerns for American citizens.

(Story continues below)

While acknowledging the benefit of online anonymity, the report nonetheless contends there must be better systems in place to authenticate Internet users' digital identities.

"Creating the ability to know reliably what person or device is sending a particular data stream in cyberspace," the panel states, "must be part of an effective cybersecurity strategy."

The report continues, "We appreciate that many may be concerned about where this [review of Internet usage laws] may lead."

The panel acknowledges police may worry new laws might make enforcement difficult, companies may worry that new laws may hinder online business, and, "Civil libertarians may worry that, in a world consumed with terrorism, the protection for civil liberties may take a back seat to national security and public safety."

"These concerns are all legitimate," the panel admits. "But in a world where the Internet citizen is about to embrace cloud computing (or, put another way, in a world where a citizen's most sensitive data may routinely be globally accessible and in the possession of third parties), we have a unique opportunity to proactively decide what the right rules should be."

The report sets forth a seven-stage plan of recommendations for implementing its cybersecurity strategy, beginning with the next president.

"This strategy should be based on a public statement by the president that the cyber infrastructure of the United States is a vital asset for national security and the economy," the report recommends, "and that the United States will protect it, using all instruments of national power, in order to protect national security and public safety."

From that first step, the report recommends creating a new National Office for Cyberspace under the Executive Office of the President, partnering with the private sector, limiting the federal government's information purchases to only secure technology, creating a digital ID for both government and private citizens online and reviewing current laws to create a market-sensitive, federally regulated Internet.

The report acknowledges several times that digital identity authentication and federal regulations may be controversial, but, the panel asserts, they are necessary.

"We believe that cyberspace cannot be secured without regulation," the report insists. "Market forces alone will never provide the level of security necessary to achieve national security objectives."

Regarding digital identification, the panel proposes that high-risk situations (such as accessing critical infrastructure controls) require a strong authentication system, while low-risk situations (such as accessing public government data or purchasing a pair of shoes) need not utilize increased identification measures.

Further, the report asserts, "Our discussions made it clear that government programs must provide security while also protecting privacy and civil liberties."

"Greater security must reinforce citizens' rights, not come at their expense," the CSIS report concludes.

The CSIS is a bipartisan, nonprofit organization that conducts research and analysis and advises decisionmakers in government, international institutions and the private sector. Based on K Street in Washington, D.C., CSIS has approximately 220 employees and an annual operating budget of $29 million, which comes mostly from corporate, foundation and government sources.

The panel that produced the cyberspace report was chaired by Rep. James Langevin, D-R.I., Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, Scott Charney, corporate vice president for trustworthy computing at Microsoft Corporation and retired Lt. General Harry Raduege, USAF.

At least five members of Obama's transition team contributed to the report, and the remainder are looking forward to reviewing the recommendations, a spokeswoman told the Chronicle.

The Department of Homeland Security, however, was less enthusiastic.

"We're the first ones to admit that there's more work to be done," department spokeswoman Laura Keener told the Chronicle, "but to stop midstream and reorganize the deck chairs is not an effective use of resources."

ONE
Caution! — You Are Now Entering The Forbidden Zone

Only puny secrets need protection. Big discoveries are protected by public incredulity.
— Marshall McLuhan

Take TodayWhat is one to do when, in order to rule men, it is necessary to deceive them?
— Helena Blavatsky The Secret Doctrine

What you will read and see in this book is forbidden to you. Discovering these things could be highly dangerous to your health. Forbidden knowledge is sweet, but also deadly. Many men have died for revealing far fewer secrets than are found herein.I am not being overdramatic nor attempting to be sensationalist. This is a warning: Make very sure that you possess the daring and the courage to proceed before you go any further.Lingering in my mind are the names of courageous men who have gone before you and I and are now dead because they exposed the forbidden knowledge of the Illumined Ones.

  • Captain William Morgan — abducted, kidnapped and ritually murdered, his lifeless body dumped in a lake after he published a book unmasking Masonic secrets
  • Danny Casolaro—suicided, having his wrists cut and bleeding to death in a hotel room where he had gone to meet a confidential source
  • Paul Wilcher, found nude, his body stiff as it sat on a toilet in his home, only days after he mailed his expose manuscript to U.S. Attorney-General Janet Reno
  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, the world-famous classical composer, who paid the ultimate penalty, the Aqua Toffeta, arsenic poisoning that wracked his body

Poor Mozart. He, too, had revealed some of the secrets of Freemasonry. Blackballed by The Order, so frightened were his friends and family that not one human soul so much as attended his funeral. It is said that Mozart's faithful dog followed dutifully behind the lonely funeral wagon. The sad and forlorn canine was the only living creature in sight as the body of the man all of Europe had once toasted and applauded was taken to its burial site. So, I ask you, dear friend, once again: Do you dare to discover the secrets many have been punished for merely knowing, let alone revealing? Are you sure, very sure, you want to enter the Forbidden Zone?

Immersed in Evil

You see, we are surrounded by evil on every side—quite literally immersed in it— but the wicked and the deceivers want us to believe that evildoing is exceptional. From childhood we have been taught that evil and corruption are the province of the few, that most people are virtuous, honest, and good, that most of our politicians truly have our interests at heart, that the social system, with the exception of just a few deviants and criminal types, is basically sound. With such assurances, most people breathe a deep sigh of relief. "Don't worry, be happy," said the words of a fun-time novelty song a decade ago. And most of us appreciate and agree with that sentiment. After all, it's not nice to be negative, to be a skeptic in the midst of a nation of wannabe happy faces.Unfortunately, the masses who believe this nonsense have been gulled and are destined to receive, very soon, a rude shock and an abrupt awakening.

Grand Deception

As Christopher Mark observed recently in an insight-filled article entitled "Grand Deception: The Theft of America and the World,"

"The world is completely corrupt beyond your wildest dreams, and the United States is, perhaps, the most gullible of all nations."1
Mark goes on to explain:
For now, grasp this: The world you believe exists does not exist. We live in a form of the Matrix, not unlike the world portrayed in John Carpenter's movie, "They Live," except that high government officials and international bankers are the elite who control all you see and hear as did the aliens portrayed in the movie. 2

But, the foolish may object, we have the media to protect us from the corrupt. We cannot be deceived as long as there is a free press to act as our watchdog.Ah, but there's the rub. There is no free press!

Christopher Mark adds:

The news is a farce. As is the case with the financial institutions, which are concentrated in the hands of the few, long ago the media was bought and paid for... What you read and what you see on a daily basis is largely manufactured. You are being lied to each and every day.3

Thomas Mann, the keen social observer and philosopher, once suggested that men are erroneously taught to believe that it is forbidden and wrong to expose the works of darkness, or to reveal the machinations of evildoers, especially evildoers who, though they act in hellish ways, the deceived world at large so obviously holds in the highest regard:

That is the secret delight and security of hell, that it is not to be informed on, that it is protected from speech, that it just is, but cannot be made public in the newspaper, or be brought by any word to critical knowledge.4

Secret Delight
.
How interesting the realization that, as Thomas Mann puts it, hell takes "secret delight" in its ability to keep secrets. Proverbs 9:13-18 seems to have a relation to this. It states:
A foolish woman sitteth in the high place of the city, To call passengers who go right on their ways: she saith to him, bread eaten in secret is pleasant. But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
Why do the Illuminati value secrecy so highly? Why all the mysterious, encoded signs, handshakes, symbols, language, and codes? One finds many reasons. For one thing, the psychopath — these are the kind of people who are Illuminists — seems to be drawn to the darkness, to mysterious perversions and deep occultism.

"Nothing so arouses the deep mind's attention than the call of the dark, arcane and mysterious," Paul Huston writes in his book, Mastering Witchcraft.5

Secrecy is deemed essential amongst witchcraft sects, and witchcraft is, in essence, Illuminism.

Huston explains:

"Now witchcraft consists of knowledge, and knowledge brings power. Power shared is power lost. Although we have entered the Age of Aquarius, along with its attendant freedom and loosening of restrictions, it will still be very much in your interests as a witch to shroud certain of your doings in a reasonable veil of secrecy."6

As you will discover in studying the pages of , the Illuminati certainly do have much to hide. Seeing as how the leaders of this notorious organization are responsible for hardship, bloodshed and revolutionary terror on a global scale, if their secrets were found out, there would be hell to pay. If the masses ever were to wake up from their trance and begin to understand just how horribly they have been deceived, they would angrily rise enmasse and string up the elite from the nearest light pole.
.
The Most Terrible Secret of All
.
But there's also the matter of the most terrible secret of all, the secret that, if discovered, would sound the death knell for the Illuminati and Freemasonry. Manly P. Hall, 33°, touched on this in his book, Lectures on Ancient Philosophy:

Freemasonry is a fraternity within a Fraternity — an outer organization, concealing an inner brotherhood of the elect. The invisible society is a secret fraternity dedicated to a MYSTERIOUS SECRET.7

As Hall alludes, Freemasonry hides its greatest secret even from its membership at large—only an invisible "inner brotherhood" is entrusted with it.
Robert Guffey, writing in the book, The Conspiracy Reader, reports that the "cryptocrats," as he calls the elite, consider most Americans to be mere sheep who must be kept from discovering "the black cauldron of dirty secrets" hidden to them.8 The MYSTERIOUS SECRET of which Manly P. Hall, 33° writes, surely falls into this category of dirty secrets kept squirreled away in the black cauldron.
The dirtiest secret found inside that black cauldron —THE MYSTERIOUS SECRET—is this:

That the unknown "God" worshipped by the Masons and called by such hazy, nebulous names as the Great Architect of the Universe and by codenames such as Abaddon, Mahabone, and Jahbuhlun, is actually none other than Satan, or Lucifer.

That is the greatest of secrets that the Illuminati must shield from view.
The Illuminated (so-called "enlightened") man who knows this darkest of secrets is taught by his superiors and comes to believe that all who are in on the secret are somehow more sophisticated, urbane, intelligent, and spiritually astute, than the uncouth, vulgar, and coarse people who stupidly follow after the God of the Bible . Stupid people deserve to be deceived, say the Masons and Illuminists. Thus, as Emile Grillot DeGivry comments, the elite "conceal in order to baffle the vulgar."9
Marie Roberts and Hugh Ormsby-Lennon, in Secret Texts: The Literature of Secret Societies, note that the rituals, rites, symbols, emblems, and other tools of the secret societies are "Mysteries that must not be revealed to the profane, lewd, and unworthy."10

How does it feel, dear reader, to realize that the wicked men of the Illuminati and of the Lodge and other secret societies consider you, me, and everyone outside their own special preserve, as "profane, lewd, and unworthy?"

Symbols as Secrets
.
To maintain their rotten and corrupt body of secrets, the Illuminati leaders and groups employ symbols. The rites, ceremonies, hand signs, and grips of the Illuminists are based on the science and art of symbolism.
It is said that symbolism began as recorded in the Bible's book of Genesis when God put a "mark" or sign on Cain who had slain his brother, Abel. Throughout human history, marks, signs, pictures, and hieroglyphs came to be used to convey words, ideas, concepts, and secrets.
"By symbols," wrote Thomas Carlyle in Sartor Resartus, "is man guided and commanded, made happy made wretched. He everywhere finds himself surrounded with symbols, recognized as such or not recognized."11

As you'll discover in , the elite use many symbols and signs to hide and obfuscate their magical work and alchemy. In the Blue Lodge (the first three degrees), the initiate takes an oath of obligation, pledging:

I will always hail, EVER CONCEAL, AND NEVER REVEAL, any of the arts, parts, or points of the hidden mysteries of Ancient Free Masonry... 12

The Order of the Eastern Star, the women's Masonic organization, informs its new members that the Order teaches them of their duties and obligations "by means of SECRET SIGNS AND PASSWORDS."13 The initiate is further instructed that she must bind herself "to preserve the most sacred SECRECY respecting the work of the Order."14
Symbols are more than just pictures. Consider: When you and I, as patriotic citizens, see the red, white, and blue flag of the U.S.A. waving aloft, many emotions are aroused in our minds and hearts. Memories sometimes gush forth, feelings of love of country, home, and family; perhaps deep appreciation for our country's founders, its Constitution, and for the soldiers and servicemen who have died to protect and keep us free. All this bound up in just one symbol.
To the Masons and other Illuminists, their occult symbols also embody a deep and varied set of meanings. Alex Home, in Sources of Masonic Symbolism, distinguishes between a mere "emblem" and a "symbol." An emblem is something that stands for something else, he says, while "a symbol has a moral and spiritual meaning."15
That "moral and spiritual meaning" is, of necessity, reserved as secret in nature by these corrupt cultists, because, if their secrets should be exposed to the light, their Great Work and Grand Plan would be vulnerable to destruction, as it should be. But kept secret, the symbols and signs of the Illuminati exert a strong force.

Foster Bailey, 33°, in The Spirit of Freemasonry, explains:

A symbol veils or hides a secret, and it is that which veils mysterious forces. These energies when released can have a potent effect.16

To the man whose entire life is immersed in magical symbols, signs, and codes, and who has taken a solemn oath to maintain secrecy in fear of disclosure, the world takes on a supernatural, paranoid quality. Indeed, such men are schizophrenic in tendency, being torn between their role in the normal everyday world and their underground existence in the sordid world of their occult fraternity. Illuminists are, indeed, very dangerous men.

Ancient Origins—Babylonian

Now it is important to understand that almost all the symbols and signs of the elite are very ancient in origin. Former Scottish Rite Freemasonry Sovereign Grand Commander Henry C. Clausen, 33°, who was appointed in 1942 by President Roosevelt to head up the Commission to Investigate the Pearl Harbor Attack, writes that the footsteps of The Order go deep, and its symbols are thousands of years old.

"They arose in ancient ages," Clausen states, "The signs, symbols, and inscriptions come to us from across long, drifting centuries and will be found in ancient Sumerian clay tablet libraries of the cities of Lir, Lagash, and others of the first true urban civilization. This, occurred about 600 years before Egypt was civilized..."17

In other words, Clausen is telling his Masonic readers that their signs and symbols came from Babylon. The Bible warns that the Ancient Mystery Religion of wicked Babylon will bounce back into demonic prevalence in the last days (see Revelation 13, 17, and 18), and here we have the Sovereign Grand Commander, the international chieftain of the Masonic Lodge, informing us of the Babylonian origins of the secret symbols and signs of his Illuminist Order.
When we realize that, for the elite, their symbols are claimed to be infused with dynamic life—to be real things, active images that make and testify and create, we begin to comprehend the powerful and explosive meaning with which the Illuminati endow their signs and symbols.
To them, these are not just geometric shapes, architectural patterns, lines, and circles. Their signs and symbols both live and possess creative power. They are archetypes and thought-forms. In sum, they are real things that perform. One is reminded, therefore, of the "image of the beast" which, in the last days, is prophesied to both move about and to speak.
Pity the Poor, Hoodwinked Mason It's bad enough that the elite hide their dirty little (and big) secrets behind such smoke screens as secret hand signs, codes, etc. But what is remarkably obscene is that they hoodwink their own people.
The highest levels of the Freemasons, for example, have a special word for the manner in which they seek to deceive and mislead not only the "profane" (you and me!) but the vast majority of fellow Masons. That word is hoodwink. It is defined as the effort put forth by the lying men at the top echelons to keep lower-level members in darkness.
In the Encyclopedia of Freemasonry, editor Dr. Albert Mackey, 33°, a former Sovereign Grand Commander, claims that secrecy, silence, and deceit—in other words, hoodwink, is an absolute necessity so that, "the mysteries of our art should be preserved."18
Helena Blavatsky, co-Mason and founder of Theosophy, was unusually candid when she once remarked,

"What is one to do, when in order to rule men, it is necessary to deceive them?... For almost invariably the more simple, the more silly, and the more gross the phenomenon, the more likely it is to succeed."19

Listen to the admission of Albert Pike, former Sovereign Grand Commander who Masonic historian Manley P. Hall, 33°, magnificently praised as a "Masonic Prometheus...a king among men by the divine right of merit:"
Masonry, like all the Religions, all the Mysteries, Hermeticism, and Alchemy, conceals its secrets from all except the Adepts and Sages, or the Elect, and uses false explanations and misinterpretations of its symbols to mislead those who deserve only to be misled; to conceal the Truth, which it calls Light, from them, and to draw them away from it. 20

What impudence! What arrogance! Pike is letting us in on the deceit. Even if a man is a Mason, he may not be adjudged worthy of being promoted as one of the "Adepts and Sages, or the Elect." In that case, along with non-Masons, he is purposely misled by "false explanations and misinterpretations."

Secret Doctrine Withheld

George Steinmetz, yet another Masonic up to and including the 33rd. author, notes,

"There is a SECRET DOCTRINE in Freemasonry! That secret doctrine is concealed, rather than revealed by the very lectures which, we (Masons) are told, offer a rational explanation of the ceremonies of initiation."21

Oh my! So the poor Masons must sit and listen to a bunch of boring lectures, with superiors rattling on and on about what are described as the "Mysteries," when, really, it's all just malarkey because the true explanations —the SECRET DOCTRINE —is concealed to all except the few favored "Adepts."

Hoodwinked! Pity the poor, foolish man who becomes a Freemason! In the very firstdegree ritual, that of Entered Apprentice, a blindfold is put over his eyes, and a cable-towis hung around his neck.Symbolically, the dumb candidate is "HOODWINKED."Little does he know that his superiors intentionally set outto deceive the candidate and they contrive their deceitthrough all the ritual degrees up to and including the 33rd.

This is why, when I interview lower-level Masonic friends of mine who are more than happy to privately confide to me all the "secrets" they have learned, I often find that almost everything they think they know is pure junk. The hard facts—the really useful info —is reserved for the Masonic muckety-mucks, though it may be discovered with diligent investigation by others, too, no matter how much the Masonic order vainly attempts to conceal and deny.
As Albert Pike relates,

"What is most worth knowing in Masonry is never very openly taught. The symbols are displayed, but they are mute. It is by hints only... that the initiate is put upon the track of the hidden secret." 22

How does one finally discover the inner secrets of Freemasonry? My own experience provides the answer. It has taken me many years of meticulous research and study of the Ancient Mystery Religions of Babylon, Sumeria, Greece, Rome, China, etc. I have spent many nights reading old textbooks and treatises on medieval and occult subjects; conducted intensive investigation of the rituals and symbols of scores of secret societies and orders; and spent years examining the true teachings and practices of New Ageism, witchcraft and Satanism.
Masonic expert Lynn F. Perkins alludes to the gigantic amount of extracurricular research and work needed to uncover the greatest secrets of the Masonic Fraternity. He writes:

"The true wisdom is concealed and hidden, not only from those who do not join the Masonic Order but also from those who "take" the degrees; and it will remain hidden until each Mason seeks revelation and finds the Truth for himself. There are no interpretations in the Ritual; they have to be sought elsewhere."23

Pike, echoing Steinmetz, Hall, Perkins and all the other high-level Masonic authorities, goes so far as to mock and disparage lower-level Masons, especially those who have earned only the first three degrees ("the Blue degrees"). After acknowledging that the lower-level brethren are "intentionally misled," he goes on to say that it is not intended that the initiate understand the symbols and deepest secrets of the Order, but worse, the Masonic Lodge's rituals and lectures are designed so that the lower-level Masons shall imagine he does understand them! It is only at a later time, as he has moved up the ladder of degrees, that the purposely dumbed-down Mason discovers he's been had, that he's been played for a fool. In other words, he's been hoodwinked!
So, in effect, Masons are lied to, tricked, made fun of, and intentionally led astray, with only a little knowledge added to their brain reservoirs as they advance up the chain. Meanwhile, the poor, pitiful souls imagine they are really in on all the super-duper secrets of the Craft. Their Masonic superiors play them all for suckers.P.T. Barnum, of Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Circus fame, surely was right when he exclaimed,

"There's a sucker born every minute."

To which yours truly, author of , might add:

"...and a 32nd or 33rd degree Mason is behind the veil laughing his head off and rolling in the aisle every time a new sucker is initiated into the 1st degree of Freemasonry."

Shining Light on the Darkness
.
The Brotherhood of Darkness, as a good friend of mine, Dr. Stanley Monteith, calls the Illuminati, is quite confident it can easily maintain the highest level of secrecy regarding the actual meaning and import of its signs and symbols. Its leaders believe they can even afford to communicate these signals and messages in plain sight, sure in the knowledge that the trance-like masses are incapable of recognizing the awful, ongoing masquerade of deception that stares them right in the face.
Martin Short, who authored a book, Inside the Brotherhood, exposing the Masonic Order inside Great Britain, observed that Masons, believing their secrets to be oblivious to detection, are known to mutter words of near-contempt as they sing a little ditty called "The Entered Apprentice's Song."

A verse of this melody goes:

The world is in pain, Our secrets to gain. And still let them wonder and gaze on; They ne'er can divine, the Word or the Sign Of a Free and Accepted Mason 24

Oh, we can't, can we? Perhaps it is true that the uninformed "world" at large cannot divine the Word and Sign of the Mason, but the readers of shall do exactly that. Let us therefore move forward with eager anticipation as we uncover in this book many of the most precious and despicable secrets of the elite —things they never in a million years thought we would discover.

Lives of Quiet Desperation... and Torment

Why have the Illuminists succeeded in their hoodwinking efforts up to now? Is it not because of the gullibility of the general public? It has been said that, "most men lead lives of quiet desperation." This is true, and so it is that in their silent morass of desperation, most seek to dull their senses through alcohol, drugs, sex, and entertainment. Tormented within, but doing their utmost to keep a smile on their faces, unable to face the truth, too frightened to even admit to themselves that anything is awry, most men do not even know who their tormentors really are.
To escape reality, these men shrink from the facts, hoping against hope that all will turn out satisfactory in the end. The reality that a monstrous conspiracy exists against them and against their loved ones becomes an enormous burden they simply cannot bear. Cowards, it seems, die a thousand deaths.
Swedish researcher Juri Lina, whose book, Architects of Deception, is a revealing, fact-filled expose of the secret society of Freemasonry, warns that the ideology of "Illuminism," propagated by international Freemasonry and other secret elite groups, is an overwhelming, hidden danger to all of us. It has already brought the most violent upheavals and revolutions and is responsible for the "moral and spiritual degeneration of the individual."25Yet astonishingly, writes Lina, most men and women are hopelessly oblivious to the very forces that most affect their lives on a daily and continuing basis.

Lina consequently puts forth this word of caution:

Those who do not examine the different aspects of the conspiracy will remain incapable of understanding the world... Our rulers want us to believe that a lack of historical knowledge and ignorance about the secrets of nature constitutes true knowledge.26

Lina laments the rampant ignorance by the masses who possess little or no understanding of the vast evil on their very doorstep about to break down the door and enter therein. Wisely, he contends that the ignorant, while not the inventors of evil things, nevertheless are accomplices and contributors to evil.

"Not being aware of these facts," he writes, "is in itself an evil because ignorance serves evil."27

"The little Man Who Wasn't There"
.
Dr. Peter Ruckman, author of many fine books exposing the conspiracy and defending the Bible, in his newsletter recently penned an article about "The Little Man Who Wasn't There."28
Ruckman sagely observed that historians, like other establishment "experts," can scarcely be trusted, for they invariably write a history they would like to believe.

They limit themselves to reporting only that which comports and agrees with the socially accepted view of history and "truth." If a set of facts is unpleasant or inconvenient to the officially approved mantra, or version, of events, reality must suffer. Facts must become non-facts and lies must be converted into "reliable truths."

Ruckman remarks:

When I was a boy we repeated several little doggerels that turned out to be gems of wisdom in content. One went:
"Last night I saw upon the stair a little man who wasn't there; he wasn't there again today; oh gee, I wish he'd go away!29"Some nonexistent spooks," Ruckman adds, "are very persistent."30

In , we shine a bright spotlight on the little man sitting on the stair, and — voila! — we discover the incontrovertible fact that he is not only there, he is not a little man at all. He's a giant, dark, wicked, corrupt, conspiring, sly, cunning, devious, dangerous ogre who fully deserves all the contemptible attention we can focus on him. He's more than a spook, he's a bloodsucking parasite, a monster who is sitting on the stair blocking us from entering, a criminal thug lying in wait to waylay you and me and rob us of our belongings, our health, our very lives.
Without him sitting there detrimentally blocking our path, the world would be a far better place. Certainly a safer and happier place.

"Two Plus Two Make Four"
.
Bob Whitaker, a South Carolinian who has done many fine and adventurous things in his life, teaching college classes, serving as a senior staffer on Capitol Hill, and writing copy for the Voice of America radio broadcast, points out that anyone today who simply believes the obvious is ignorantly and unfairly branded an extremist, a conspiracy-monger, a racist, or worse. Men are not free, Whitaker suggests, to tell the truth:

In George Orwell's book 1984, it turns out that the whole hideous totalitarianism that crushed the hero is based on ending one simple, useless-sounding freedom; "Freedom," it says, "is the freedom to say that two plus two make four."31

How incredible! Whitaker is right on target. Who would have ever thought that in the once great United States of America would reside almost 300 million souls, virtually every one of whom today is shaking in his boots, quivering, numb with fear over what dreadful things might happen if he just once simply put his foot down, gritted his teeth, and spit out the words:
I see the little man on the stair. He is there! And two plus two makes four. And that's all there is to it. Period! How sad that most men, by their cowardly silence, become secret collaborators, acquiescing in their own enslavement. What a marvelous and wonderful world this would be if just a small group of honest and thoughtful, courageous men and women would view the revealing and provocative photographs, illustrations, and proofs in and exclaim with all their might in a loud, loud voice to all within hearing range:
"I see it. I no longer will remain bound by the willful ignorance that binds the multitudes. I will tell others. I will speak out until, someday, maybe soon, the whole, rotten occult Illuminati establishment comes crashing down!"

What's all this talk about Camelot?

Every time a Kennedy member is named the word "Camelot", comes up.

I've always wondered: What are they talking about?

Well, it turns out that the latest reference to the redundant title is Caroline Kennedy who is fervently seeking to be named the next Senator of New York State, in the absence of Hillary Clinton who has gone back to the White House.

Camelot, huh?

Camelot was a mythical city and the place from where King Arthur ruled. The middle ages in Britannia were full of other legends such as King Arthur, Merlin, The Holy Grail, and The Knights of the Round Table. How does all this relate to the Kennedys? I'll never figure out. It seems to me that they are actually Hibernians, or of Celtic origin. And further still; how does that translate to the U.S. , the Western Hemisphere, and the 20th and 21st Centuries?

At a time all the social graces, such as etiquette; ethics; courtesies; protocols; etc., are extinct.
How can chivalry still be alive?

Kennedy’s Credentials Are Debated in Senate Bid

Caroline Kennedy, in 2002, as she announced taking a job with the New York City schools. She held the post for 22 months.

By DAVID M. HALBFINGER

Published: December 15, 2008

She has not held a full-time job in years, has not run for even the lowliest office, and has promoted such noncontroversial causes as patriotism, poetry and public service. Yet Caroline Kennedy’s decision to ask Gov. David A. Paterson to appoint her to Hillary Rodham Clinton’s Senate seat suggests that she believes she is as well prepared as anyone to serve as the next senator from New York — and is ready to throw her famously publicity-averse self into the challenge of winning back-to-back elections in 2010 and 2012.

Already, some columnists, bloggers and even potential colleagues in Congress have begun asking if she would be taken seriously if not for her surname. Representative Gary Ackerman, a Queens Democrat, told a radio host on Wednesday that he did not know what Ms. Kennedy’s qualifications were, “except that she has name recognition — but so does J. Lo.”

Aside from a 22-month, three-day-a-week stint as director of strategic partnerships for the New York City schools, her commitments generally involve nonprofit boards: the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund Inc., the American Ballet Theater, the Commission on Presidential Debates and the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation.

But friends and associates say that Ms. Kennedy, 51, is no dilettante, and that her career is replete with examples of the kind of hands-on policy work and behind-the-scenes maneuvering that could serve her well.

Last spring, she joined the search committee for a new director of the Harvard University Institute of Politics, where she and Senator Edward M. Kennedy, her uncle, are members of an advisory panel. The university wanted a big-name politician. But Ms. Kennedy argued for someone who would view the post as a career maker, not a career ender, others involved said.
Her choice was Bill Purcell, a two-term Nashville mayor. Her uncle, whose voice carried the greatest weight on the board, had fallen ill with brain cancer, and might have gone in a different direction, one insider said. But over six weeks, she patiently made her case and eventually won over members of the institute’s board and Harvard officials.

“She’s not shy about pushing people in a direction, and very good at doing it in a way that people don’t even realize they’re being pushed,” said Heather Campion, one board member.
As one might expect, she is also the consummate insider: When Rupert Murdoch’s young daughter was applying to the Brearley School, Ms. Kennedy, a board member who had attended the school and sent her two daughters there, wrote a letter of recommendation, a News Corporation spokeswoman confirmed.

Ms. Kennedy’s work with the city’s public schools has won much attention, but has not been widely understood. Hired in October 2002 (her $1 salary meant she did not have to fill out financial disclosure forms) to overhaul the schools’ private fund-raising, she took on a haphazard operation and gave it a new mission: privately raising seed money to test new reforms, while trying to persuade New Yorkers to get involved in the schools in meaningful ways.
A rock concert in Central Park raised $2 million; a tag sale there drew tens of thousands of bargain hunters. (Some of them, unwittingly, walked off with evening bags that had belonged to her mother, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, according to Ann S. Moore, the chief executive of Time Inc., which sponsored the event.) By the time she left in August 2004, she had raised more than $70 million for an academy to train reform-minded principals. Nearly 200 city school principals are graduates, the majority in high-poverty schools.

Schools Chancellor Joel I. Klein credited her with bringing in a $51 million gift from Bill Gates’s foundation despite lingering ill will over Mr. Klein’s battles with Microsoft while he was at the Justice Department.

“She’s good in the room, but she’s also good at getting people to focus and come together quickly,” Mr. Klein said. Ms. Kennedy is now vice chairwoman of the schools’ nonprofit fund-raising arm, but she continues to visit schools across the city, with no entourage or press aide.
Indeed, one of the more interesting hurdles Ms. Kennedy faces would be in telling her story to voters, and to interviewers. Like her mother, she has carefully guarded her privacy.
Yet Ms. Kennedy spent about six weeks barnstorming battleground states for Barack Obama and took to it with gusto: An aide recalled her strolling into a Republican headquarters near Ocala, Fla., and peppering voters with questions at every turn.

But in brief interviews during the Democratic National Convention, and on “Meet the Press” after she had helped Mr. Obama vet his potential running mates, Ms. Kennedy easily deflected the few serious questions she was asked. She deadpanned to Tom Brokaw that his own name had come up in the vetting. And she dryly told Wolf Blitzer, “I just want to be with the best political team on television as much as I possibly can.”

As a candidate or senator, she would presumably have a tougher time dodging questions.
Away from the cameras, Ms. Kennedy immersed herself in the vice-presidential search, joining Eric Holder, now Mr. Obama’s choice for attorney general.

“Eric was the quiet one, and she was the one that, really, when I said something, asked, ‘Who? Why? How come?’ ” said Representative Joe Baca, chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, who met with them to analyze the contenders. “She did most of the talking.”
Ms. Kennedy also took it upon herself to write a lengthy memo for Mr. Obama, a senior campaign adviser said. “I think she sized up the field in a way that was thoughtful and sophisticated and right,” he said. “And I think it weighed heavily with him.”

True to form, Ms. Kennedy declined to be interviewed for this article. But she did cooperate indirectly, freeing a few friends and associates, through an intermediary, to discuss her.
They and several others, described a woman who is surprisingly down to earth: who carried sensible shoes in her bag for the walk home from a dressy event at Tavern on the Green; who declined a lift downtown when caught without an umbrella in a rainstorm, instead heading for the subway in a baseball cap; who does not shirk her periodic safety patrol duty, with its reflective vests and walkie-talkies, as a Collegiate School mom; who is an assiduous e-mailer, if not so fast at returning voice mail; who has a personal assistant, but does not use her as a gatekeeper the way so many not-so-famous people do; and who loves to play Running Charades, a version of the popular parlor game.

“There’s nothing at all pretentious about her,” said Jane Rosenthal, the co-founder of the Tribeca Film Festival and a longtime friend of Ms. Kennedy and her husband, Edwin A. Schlossberg.

Ms. Kennedy has said that it was her children who got her to give Mr. Obama a look last year. Elaine Jones, a retired head of the NAACP fund, speculated that Ms. Kennedy’s children — her two daughters are in college and her son is in high school — were also the reasons she had not entered public life sooner.

“A fishbowl can adversely affect a child,” Ms. Jones said. “Her mother found a way to keep her children real. Caroline, I think, wanted that for her children. So I think, without knowing it, subconsciously, she was trying to get her kids to this point.”

Shoe thrower 'beaten in custody'

Muntadar al-Zaidi was wrestled to the ground and dragged away

Page last updated at 13:34 GMT, Tuesday, 16 December 2008

The brother of the Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at US President George W Bush has said that the reporter has been beaten in custody.

Muntadar al-Zaidi has suffered a broken hand, broken ribs and internal bleeding, as well as an eye injury, his older brother, Dargham, told the BBC.

Mr Zaidi threw his shoes at Mr Bush at a news conference, calling him "a dog".

The head of Iraq's journalists' union told the BBC that officials told him Mr Zaidi was being treated well.

The union head, Mouyyad al-Lami, said he hoped to visit his colleague later.

An Iraqi official said Mr Zaidi had been handed over to the judicial authorities, according to the AFP news agency.

Earlier, Dargham al-Zaidi told the BBC's Caroline Wyatt in Baghdad he believed his brother had been taken to a US military hospital in the Iraqi capital.

A second day of rallies in support of Mr Zaidi have been held across Iraq, calling for his release.

Meanwhile, offers to buy the shoes are being made around the Arab world, reports say.

Hero figure

Mr Zaidi told our correspondent that despite offers from many lawyers his brother has not been given access to a legal representative since being arrested by forces under the command of Mowaffaq al-Rubaie, Iraq's national security adviser.

We hope the government and judiciary consider his release because he has a family and he is still young

The Iraqi authorities have said the 28-year-old will be prosecuted under Iraqi law, although it is not yet clear what the charges might be.

Iraqi lawyers have speculated that he could face charges of insulting a foreign leader and the Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri Maliki, who was standing next to President Bush during the incident. The offence carries a maximum penalty of two years in jail.

Our correspondent says that the previously little-known journalist from the private Cairo-based al-Baghdadia TV has become a hero to many, not just in Iraq but across the Arab world, for what many saw as a fitting send-off for a deeply unpopular US president.

As he flung the shoes, Mr Zaidi shouted: "This is a goodbye kiss from the Iraqi people, dog."

Dargham al-Zaidi told the BBC that his brother deliberately bought Iraqi-made shoes, which were dark brown with laces. They were bought from a shop on al-Khyam street, a well-known shopping street in central Baghdad.

However, not everyone in Iraq has been supportive of the journalist's action.

Speaking earlier in Baghdad, Mouyyad al-Lami described Mr Zaidi's action as "strange and unprofessional", but urged Mr Maliki to show compassion.

"Even if he has made a mistake, the government and the judiciary are broad-minded and we hope they consider his release because he has a family and he is still young," he told the Associated Press news agency.

"We hope this case ends before going to court."

Abducted by insurgents

The shoes themselves are said to have attracted bids from around the Arab world.

According to unconfirmed newspaper reports, the former coach of the Iraqi national football team, Adnan Hamad, has offered $100,000 (£65,000) for the shoes, while a Saudi citizen has apparently offered $10m (£6.5m).

Mr Zaidi said his actions were for Iraqi widows and orphans
The daughter of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, Aicha, said her charity would honour the reporter with a medal of courage, saying his action was a "victory for human rights".

The charity called on the media to support Mr Zaidi and put pressure on the Iraqi government to free him.

Mr Zaidi, who lives in Baghdad, has worked for al-Baghdadia for three years.

Muzhir al-Khafaji, programming director for the channel, described him as a "proud Arab and an open-minded man".

He said that Mr Zaidi was a graduate of communications from Baghdad University.

"He has no ties with the former regime. His family was arrested under Saddam's regime," he said.

Mr Zaidi has previously been abducted by insurgents and held twice for questioning by US forces in Iraq.

In November 2007 he was kidnapped by a gang on his way to work in central Baghdad and released three days later without a ransom.

He said at the time that the kidnappers had beaten him until he lost consciousness, and used his necktie to blindfold him.

Mr Zaidi never learned the identity of his kidnappers, who questioned him about his work before letting him go.

Bomb Found at Paris Department Store

Published: December 16, 2008

PARIS -- French police found a package of explosives at the Printemps department store complex in central Paris on Tuesday, a spokeswoman at Paris police headquarters said.

The spokeswoman, Mélanie Leprettre, said a warning about the explosives had been sent Tuesday morning to the French news agency Agence France-Presse, which alerted the police.

A previously unknown group demanding the withdrawal of French troops from Afghanistan claimed to have planted the explosive devices. Officials said that five sticks of dynamite had been found.

An editor at AFP, André Birukoff, said the news agency had received an earlier warning that an attack on Printemps was imminent. He said that one of AFP’s journalists had received an anonymous telephone call on the morning of Dec. 10 warning that there would soon be an explosion at the department store. The caller broke off before identifying himself or giving any other information.

Employees said that the store had been on high alert for several days.

The discovery of the explosives at the height of the Christmas shopping season threw the area into confusion, with traffic backed up as the police cordoned off streets around Printemps. The store, on the elegant Boulevard Haussmann in the heart of one of the French capital’s main shopping districts, is packed with shoppers and tourists at this time of year.

President Nicolas Sarkozy, speaking from the eastern French city of Strasbourg, said in a live television statement that the devices had no detonators attached. He said that the French police were analyzing the devices, and he called for calm and vigilance.

Security agents at the scene said the explosives had been discovered in a rest room on the third floor of the Printemps men’s store, one of three Printemps buildings in the complex. All three stores were evacuated.

In its statement to AFP, a group calling itself the Afghan Revolutionary Front said that it had planted several bombs in the Printemps men’s store that would go off if not removed by Wednesday. The statement called for the withdrawal of French troops from Afghanistan. It added: “Send the message to your president that he needs to withdraw his troops from our country (Afghanistan) before the end of February 2009, or else we will act again in your capitalist department stores, and this time with no warning.”

France has about 3,000 troops deployed with the NATO-led force in Afghanistan.

French news reports said that the French intelligence services had no previous knowledge of the group.

Guards at the entrance to Printemps said they had received the order to evacuate the store at 11:20 a.m. and that the evacuation had taken about 15 minutes. They declined to say how many people had been evacuated.

A spokeswoman at Galeries Lafayette, the other large department store complex on Boulevard Haussmann, said that the Paris flagship store was visited by about 200,000 shoppers a day during the Christmas season.

Within about an hour of the evacuation, Interior Minister Michele Alliot-Marie and Mayor Bertrand Delanoë were both at the scene, where the normally packed boulevard was empty of vehicles other than bomb squad vans that had been sent in, looking eerily out of place against the backdrop of colorful Christmas lights.

“For the moment, we have found sticks of dynamite in just one location,” Ms. Alliot-Marie told reporters. She said that the kind of dynamite found was “relatively old.”

Outside Printemps, there was not panic but frustration among shoppers and tourists huddled outside and impatient to resume their shopping.

“Well, I’ll just have to come back later, then,” said Eleanor Deshayes, 29, when informed that the department store had been evacuated due to a bomb alert.

By 1 p.m. the police were removing barriers and traffic began flowing again. Printemps saleswomen, who had been shivering in near-freezing temperatures after evacuating the store in their shirtsleeves, prepared to return to their sales counters. Shortly after 2 p.m., two of the Printemps stores reopened but the men’s unit remained closed.

Public concern about the French military presence in Afghanistan has been growing since the deaths of 10 soldiers there in a Taliban ambush in August.

The ambush, in which 21 others were wounded, was the bloodiest against French forces since a 1983 attack in Beirut killed 58 soldiers.

Mr. Sarkozy has strongly defended France’s role in Afghanistan alongside its Western allies as part of the fight against terrorism and for the rights of Afghan women.

But his promise in April to commit additional French troops, which brought the commitment to nearly 3,000, was not popular.

Meg Bortin and Caroline Brothers contributed reporting.

The Greatest Of These Is Charity

1 Corinthians 13

1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

The Prophet Elijah

The false prophets pray in vain, while Elijah confidently asks God to consume the sacrifice

THE Israelites often broke God's Commandments. They married pagans and even worshiped false gods. Out of pity for them, God sent holy men to lead them back to Him. These were the prophets. They also foretold the coming of the Savior. The greatest of the prophets were Elijah, Isaiah, and Jeremiah.

The prophet Elijah lived when King Ahab was ruling Israel. This king had married a pagan, Jezebel, and had built a temple to her god, Baal. Ahab also adored Baal.
Elijah was sent by God to warn Ahab. He said, "To punish you for worshiping idols God will not send any rain for three years. There will be a famine."

With the country suffering from a great famine because there had been no rain for three years, God sent Elijah back to Ahab. He told the king that the famine was a punishment for his sins. The king's wife, Jezebel, had killed almost all the true prophets of God. In their place she had put several hundred false prophets to sing the praises of her false god. Elijah asked Ahab to gather these false prophets on Mount Carmel. The people also gathered there. Elijah said to them, "If the Lord is God, you should obey Him. But if the god of Jezebel is the true god, then follow him."
Elijah then asked for two oxen, one for the false prophets and one for himself. He said to these prophets, "You call upon your gods, and I will call upon the Lord. The god that shall answer by fire consuming the sacrifice will be known to be the true god." This plan seemed very good to the people.

The false prophets laid the ox upon an altar. They called upon their god from morning till noon, but there was no answer. They cried still louder and even cut themselves until they were covered with blood. But no answer came.

Then Elijah told the people to gather around him. He put wood on an altar and laid the ox on the wood. He poured buckets of water over the sacrifice. When the hour of the evening sacrifice came, Elijah prayed, "0 Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, show this day that You are the true God of Israel."

As he was praying, fire came down from heaven and burnt up the sacrifice and the altar itself. When the people saw this, they fell down to the ground and cried, "The Lord is God! The Lord is God!"

Saying, Peace; and there was no peace...

Ezekiel 13

1And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD;

3Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing!

4O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.

5Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the LORD.

6They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The LORD saith: and the LORD hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.

7Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have not spoken?

8Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord GOD.

9And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

10Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:

11Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.

12Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye have daubed it?

13Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in mine anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.

14So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and ye shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

15Thus will I accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that have daubed it with untempered morter, and will say unto you, The wall is no more, neither they that daubed it;

16To wit, the prophets of Israel which prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and which see visions of peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord GOD.

17Likewise, thou son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy thou against them,

18And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the women that sew pillows to all armholes, and make kerchiefs upon the head of every stature to hunt souls! Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you?

19And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?

20Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.

21Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

22Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:

23Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Prominent SDA's Eulogize John Paul II

(An Excerpt of The Vatican and Benedict XVI)

Here are the comments from congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, who is a democrat to the US House of Representatives from Texas. I’m quoting directly from her website. "He was a great humanitarian," she said, as she expressed her “profound sorrow” at the passing of Pope John Paul II.“The Pope… is deserving of the great outpouring of love he has received," she continued.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is a well known Seventh-day Adventist. Imagine that! A Seventh-day Adventist eulogizing the Pope in such glowing terms. She went on to say that Pope John Paul II “chose to move into a more abundant life, not from a hospital bed, but from his home in Vatican City.”

What does our Seventh-day Adventist congresswoman from Texas believe about life after death? John Paul II is not in the bliss of heaven or any “more abundant life.” He is in his grave, and he’s dead, according to scripture. He is neither in heaven or hell. He is waiting for the judgment where his deeds, whether they be good or evil, will be judged. Inspiration declares the teaching that there is immediate life after death, to be one of the two principle falsehoods in the last days. Listen to what God’s prophet has to say in the book Great Controversy on page 588. “Through the two great errors, the immortality of the soul and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the people under his deceptions.” What Congresswoman Jackson Lee believes is spiritualism. And this Adventist congresswoman is actually teaching and affirming it by her statement on her website about John Paul II going to a more abundant life.

Still further, Congresswoman Jackson Lee reaffirmed her shocking testimony a second time by saying, “Today I, along with so many Americans, continue to pray for Pope John Paul II." Why would a Seventh-day Adventist pray for a dead pope? There is no point in praying for a dead man. What good can prayers do for the dead? His probation is over. His eternal destiny is certain, one way or the other. Vain prayers will do nothing for him now or in eternity. Does our Congresswoman think that by prayers for John Paul II, she can do anything for his soul? This is amazing. Praying for the dead originated with paganism and came over into the Catholic Church. I wonder what religion she really is.

Then I read a statement on the web by an Adventist hospital administrator who praised the Pope by quoting some of his writings over and over again.

Then I read another Adventist Congressman’s comments about the dead pope. Rosco(e) Bartlett, from Maryland said, “Pope John Paul II was an extraordinary man, and inspiring witness of faith in God, and an influential world leader. He expanded peace and freedom for millions of people…”

Was John Paul II really an “inspiring witness of faith in God?” I think he was more likely an inspiring witness of faith in Mary. While we can grant him whatever sincerity he is due, I can't hardly imagine that he can really be an inspiring witness of faith in God when he reaffirmed the most diabolical and unbiblical doctrines of Rome during his pontificate, including indulgences, the punishment of heretics, and veneration of Mary.

But why all the praise from some Seventh-day Adventists? John Paul II certainly made an impact on the world, but was he somehow more venerable than any other human being because he held the office of pope? Perhaps we have not done a good enough job in training God’s people concerning the teachings of scripture about the “man of sin.”

But it goes much farther. Let me read you a shocking statement from a newspaper at a Adventist Christian college. Here is the quote.

“Perhaps we, too, can gain by looking to Pope John Paul II as a good example of what it means to be a Christian. I find it ironic that we criticize Catholics for looking to one man who they consider appointed by God to be a leader in their church. Do we not do the same with Ellen White? Were they not both godly individuals [Ellen White and John Paul II] whom God used in a powerful way to lead His people [Adventists and Catholics] through hard times. I imagine if they met each other and looked back at their respective churches, they might both shake their heads and say with a sigh. ‘Oh, those rowdy kids.’ May we live in such a manner as to meet them both someday.” a newspaper at a Adventist Christian college Walla Walla College in the April 14, 2005 edition of The Collegian.

What does the writer mean by suggesting that John Paul II and Ellen White are on the same level. What blasphemy! Ellen White is a prophet God to the Last Generation who upheld God’s law. John Paul II represents the antichrist and leads a church steeped in the tradition of changing God’s laws and persecuting those that do them. There is no comparison! They are complete opposites.

Now, how can John Paul be a good example of what it means to be a Christian? Here is a man devoted to Mary, not Jesus. Here is a man that believes in Sunday worship and advocates Sunday laws in opposition to the law of God. How could he be an example of a good Christian.

How can the writer say that the Pope was used by God to lead His people…? The Pope is not leading God’s people to truth. He may be leading them to darkness, but not truth.

The Collegian is the official weekly newspaper of Walla Walla College, which is read by all the students. The writer concluded that paragraph by saying “if we make it to heaven, we will be sure to meet John Paul II there.”
