(CNN) -- Three people have been shot at a transformer manufacturing facility in St. Louis, Missouri, police said Thursday.

St. Louis police said they did not know the location of the shooter, who they said was armed with an assault rifle. Police said they have surrounded a nearby building.

"It's pretty sketchy at this point," ABB spokesman Bob Fesmire told CNN. He said police had evacuated the building.

A 911 call was made to police about 6:30 a.m., Fesmire said.

Normally, there are about 100 employees inside the facility, but because of heavy snow, some of them likely were unable to reach work, he added.

He said there was no information so far to indicate that the shooter was an employee.

Exposing Television Ministers Affiliated with Occult Groups

You are flipping through the television channels one day and notice a minister speaking a word over your life that is compelling. You feel like God was definitely using that man or woman to talk to you. Most likely he was, at least for that moment; however many don't understand that just because the television minister was used on Tuesday is not a clear and definite sign you should be sitting in front of the television every night listening to this flawed man or woman until Sunday when you are headed to church.

There are many outward and hidden signs that tell you whether or not a certain televangelist is someone you should be following. You will definitely need to start opening your Bible to see if what they are doing, not so much what they are saying, is godly.

Let's begin with the prosperity message. If you are unfamiliar with this message it is one that is very popular amongst many television ministers. It is one that tells you to believe in God's word, usually the minister twists it around so that it fits his or her message, do as it says (only providing you with a very small excerpt of the scripture,) and most of all "send us some money" so that God can bless you. Sometimes the minister gives you a particular amount and proclaims something like this, "God told me that those of you who are watching will receive your blessing today if you just send $77.77 cents." So you do and nothing happens or you do and something does happen. Consider this, was it something that you had already set in motion BEFORE the minister said send in the money? Most likely it was, so your blessing was on its way whether you sent that money in to the ministry or not. Some ministers will say, "Well the money you let go of released God's hand to move on your situation." Really? The God of Moses, Abraham, Job, David, Daniel, Mary, Sara, Ester, Hannah and many other saints of the Bible just doesn't operate that way. Instead, he would more likely prompt you and I to make a sacrifice of some sort like give up certain sins than our money! Galatians 5

Another message ministers tend to preach about besides money, even though they always find a way back to it by the end of the broadcast, is all the wonderful and beautiful things God does for us even in our sin. That's all well and good, but the truth of the matter is that anyone who chooses to sincerely walk with God will find out quickly that he isn't interested in making us feel good all the time especially if we are outside of his will. We learn quickly that if we break promises, swear at God, mock him, or do malicious things to others, he will smack us back into reality by presenting us with some of the most challenging situations. They can be so overwhelming that we have no choice but to fall on our needs and cry, "I give up Lord...I'm sorry." If you need an example of God allowing people to suffer as a result of something they did or said that upset his order, hurt others or worse yet put them out of God's will, read the book of Psalms, the book of Job, and the old testament is full of disobedient believers for starters. David was a man after God's own heart, but it didn't keep him from falling by the wayside and experiencing God's wrath for his sins.

There are many other messages, but I would like to end this hub page with the televangelists' speeches that purposely leave out hell and what you can do to get there. Not a popular message and it doesn't win anyone to church like it use to. Rather the minister purposely leaves hell out of his message or softens it so that it has no affect on your spirit. He or she may even avoid all topics related to Lucifer (also known as Satan, devil, demon etc.) so as not to offend. Doing this, makes people, especially those who don't read their Bible, think that they are naturally a good person because they now tune into TV church or have joined "a Bible believing church near you." But those who read their Bible know that no one is good but the Father. We have all fallen short. Drawing near to God doesn't make you and I little gods, it makes you and I in need of a Savior.

Now that I have shared these false messages with you, I would like to say that just as these ministers can sugarcoat the truth, tell lies and do other things to lead God's people astray. They can also participate in activities outside of the church that have nothing to do with God, even though certain groups would like to make you and I think differently. What might these groups be? You might ask. Well for starters, I found some interesting photos on the web. These photos weren't "doctored up." They were legitimate photos of ministers posing in ways that are affiliated with Freemasonry. Now why would popular ministers pose with folded hands below the belt line or clasp hands in awkward ways on the cover of books? Could it be that some powerful group affiliated with demonic activity is funding their church? Some of these same ministers will shake hands the way that Masons do when greeting their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. They would only do these things unless they were connected.

As I performed research on the Internet I uncovered more and more information that led me to believe that many, if not all of them, are affiliated with very powerful groups (that aren't Christian.) These groups are responsible for orchestrating the television ministers marketing campaigns and appearances, his or her business connections and functions, and other things that keep their puppet strings pulled on television. The truth really shows up nearing a presidential campaign. The hand signs and symbolism fly on the television screen while you look at the ministers strange disposition and say to yourself, "Why is acting like that? Why is he shaking that man's hand so weak like that? Why is his wife making that hand sign?"

Strange as it may seem, but behind the scenes just like secular celebrities, these television ministers want to maintain their following and stay in favor with those who are willing to keep financing their ministry. The newcomers are hoping to get huge congregations as well not realizing that their mentors sold their souls to the devil a long time ago!

Now I don't want to use this Hub to name any names; rather, I will direct you to some websites and videos I think you might find interesting.

Attack on Egyptian Coptics kills six

January 6, 2010 10:18 p.m. EST

(CNN) -- Shooters opened fire at a gathering outside an eastern Egyptian church, killing six during the celebration of a Christian sect's Christmas Eve, Egypt's Interior Ministry reported.

Coptics -- adherents of an Egyptian sect of Christianity that observes Christmas Day on January 7 -- were leaving mass at 11:30 p.m. (9:30 p.m. GMT) Wednesday in Naga Hammadi City when they were attacked, the government told CNN.

One of the dead in the drive-by shooting was a police officer, and the five civilians were all Coptic Christians, the ministry said. Seven others were injured in the shooting in the Nile River coastal city.

Security forces were searching for the shooter, who was accompanied by other individuals in the car, the government said.

About 9 percent of Egyptians are Coptic, according to the Central Intelligence Agency World Fact Book. Ninety percent of Egyptians are Muslim.

CNN's Waffa Munayyer contributed to this story.

It may seem that hard winter has arrived, but in reality it's about normal for the time of year. Not so in parts of Europe and Asia, where they're digging out from records snowfalls. It's even cold in Florida, where there's ice on the strawberries. We tell the story in photos.

Shady Lady Ranch in Nevada makes history by getting approval to hire male prostitutes

BY Adam Sommers
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER
Wednesday, January 6th 2010, 2:20 PM

Hey, guys, have you hit hard times? Is it hard to find a job? Has it been been hard to start a new career? Well, it may be hard to believe, but the Nevada sex industry may have a position — or two — for you.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the owner of the Shady Lady Ranch is looking for “a few good men” who are willing to become Nevada’s first legal male sex workers.

“This is a service whose time has come,” owner Bobbi Davis said in a letter to Nye County officials who had to approve of the business expansion.

A county liquor board’s vote Tuesday affirming that Davis could offer “shady men” to her clientele followed months of rancorous debate among the state’s legal brothel community, the Times reported.

George Flint, a longtime lobbyist for the Nevada Brothel Association, has said that allowing male prostitutes could be the industry’s Pearl Harbor. He has hinted that brothels possibly offering gay sex - a choice each prostitute, as an independent contractor, would be free to make - might sour some legislators on the entire brothel system.

“This is the first time in the history of the world . . . that men have been licensed to sell sex,” Flint said at Tuesday board meeting, his voice rising. “It’s never been done!

”According to the Times, Davis and her husband, Jim, merely hope to boost business. Their small outpost near Death Valley, about 150 miles northwest of Las Vegas, offers as many as five women, relies heavily on travelers and has gotten some requests for gigolos.

Davis figures that, even if it’s a flop, adding men to her roster is worth trying. She has been inundated with more than 100 applications, she told the Times, though she has held off on hiring until she’d cleared the last all bureaucratic hurdle on Tuesday.

At a contentious meeting of the Nye County Licensing and Liquor Board, Dennis Hof, owner of the Moonlite BunnyRanch, raised concerns about monitoring the spread of infectious diseases.

But Commissioner Lorinda Wichman would have none of it. “You guys can’t scare me,” the Times quoted her as saying before voting in Davis’ favor. “I’m going to try this.”

DEA rips NYC-funded handbook on heroin

‘Step-by-step instruction on how to inject a poison,’ drug agent says

Jan. 5: A new New York City-funded guidebook for heroin users causes outrage with DEA officials. WNBC's Tim Minton reports.
NBC News Channel

updated 11:54 a.m. ET, Tues., Jan. 5, 2010

NEW YORK - A New York City-funded guidebook for heroin users offers information on how to prepare drugs carefully and care for veins to avoid infection.

However, the state's top official with the Drug Enforcement Administration said the "Take Charge Take Care" guide was disturbing.

DEA special agent-in-charge John Gilbride said the handout was a "step-by-step instruction on how to inject a poison." The city's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene printed about 70,000 copies and a top official says the goal is to promote health and save lives.

The 16-page pamphlet features helpful tips for drug users such as: "Warm your body (jump up and down) to show your veins," and "find your vein before you try to inject."

Other tips include: "Only 'boot' once or twice in one shot."

Assistant Commissioner Daliah Heller said instructions on how to perform injections were included because there's "a less harmful way to inject."

The illustrated guidebook also offers information on HIV testing and warnings on the dangers of sharing needles.

Obama, Dems Agree to Closed-Door Health Negotiations

Updated January 06, 2010

President Obama and congressional Democrats head into another strategy session Wednesday over health care reform after deciding Tuesday night to keep the final negotiations as GOP-free as possible by bypassing the traditional conference committee process.

President Obama and congressional Democrats head into another strategy session Wednesday over health care reform after deciding Tuesday night to keep the final negotiations as GOP-free as possible by bypassing the traditional conference committee process.

The White House and Democratic leaders in Congress decided to keep the last leg of talks a closed-door affair. They concluded that the House will work off the Senate's version, amend it and send it back to the Senate for final passage, according to a House leadership aide, speaking on condition of anonymity in order to discuss the private meeting.

The move streamlines the process to avoid Republican efforts to slow it down.

But Republicans aren't giving up yet. House Minority Whip Eric Cantor, R-Va., on Wednesday released a list of 37 House Democrats he claims can be persuaded to vote against the final bill. Cantor noted that Democrats can't afford to lose one of the 60-vote coalition they assembled in the Senate and can't afford to lose more than two of the 220 votes they assembled on the House side.

"I still believe there is an opportunity to prevent this bill -- a bill that will fundamentally alter the relationship between patients and doctors, harm seniors, and impose massive taxes and mandates on small businesses -- from becoming law," he wrote. "If we can convince enough of these 37 members (along with the 39 Democrats who already voted no) to reconsider and switch their position on the bill, I know that we can defeat this government take-over of our health care before it becomes law."

Cantor listed House Democrats who are known to have anti-abortion views as well as Democrats who represent a lot of seniors enrolled in Medicare Advantage. The Republican argued that proposed cuts to Medicare Advantage and potentially "weakened" language on restrictions for abortion funding could put those Democrats in play.

Obama is expected to meet with top House Democrats Wednesday afternoon, as they craft strategy well before Congress returns. The aim is to get a final bill to Obama's desk before the State of the Union policy address sometime in early February.

Democrats reacted defensively to criticism that they are taking the final, most crucial stage of the debate behind closed doors, contending they've conducted a transparent process with hundreds of public meetings and legislation posted online. Republicans seized on a newly released letter from the head of the C-SPAN network calling on congressional leaders to open the final talks to the public, and cited Obama's campaign trail pledge to do just that.

Asked about that promise, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi remarked, without elaboration: "There are a number of things he was for on the campaign trail."

Facing the need to maintain a tenuous 60-vote coalition in the Senate, House Democrats likely will have to give up on starting a new government insurance plan to compete with the private market, something that's a nonstarter with Senate moderates. In its place they hope for more generous subsidies for lower-income families to buy health insurance.

Obama agreed at Tuesday evening's meeting to help strengthen affordability measures beyond what's in the Senate bill, the aide said.

Pelosi suggested Tuesday that House members wouldn't insist on the government plan as long as the final bill provides "affordability for the middle class, accountability for the insurance companies ... accessibility by lowering cost at every stage."

"There are other ways to do that, and we look forward to having those discussions," she said.
House Democrats want the Senate to agree to language revoking insurers' antitrust exemption as a way to hold insurance companies accountable in absence of direct government competition, said Rep. Chris Van Hollen, a member of the House leadership.

The bills passed by the House and Senate both would require nearly all Americans to get health insurance coverage and would provide subsidies for many who can't afford the cost, but they differ on hundreds of details. Among them are whom to tax, how many people to cover, how to restrict taxpayer funding for abortion and whether illegal immigrants should be allowed to buy coverage in the new markets with their own money.

Concerns about affordability are paramount. Major subsidies under the bills wouldn't start flowing to consumers until 2013 at the earliest. Even with federal aid, many families still would face substantial costs.

The House bill would provide $602 billion in subsidies from 2013-2019, covering an additional 36 million people.

The Senate bill would start the aid a year later, providing $436 billion in subsidies from 2014-2019, and reducing the number of uninsured by 31 million.

"Affordability is a critical issue," Van Hollen said.

But sweetening the deal for low- and middle-income households could require more taxes to pay for additional subsidies. And the House and Senate are also at odds over whom to tax. The House wants to raise income taxes on individuals making more than $500,000 and couples over $1 million. The Senate would slap a new tax on high-cost insurance plans. Although the Obama administration supports the Senate's insurance tax as a cost-saver, labor unions, which contribute heavily to Democratic candidates, are against it.

The House may end up accepting the insurance tax if it hits fewer people than the Senate's design now calls for. There also could be common ground in a Senate proposal to raise Medicare payroll taxes on individuals making more than $200,000 and married couples over $250,000.

The Christmas Day Airliner Attack and the Intelligence Process

January 4, 2010 1840 GMT

By George Friedman

As is well known, a Nigerian national named Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab attempted to destroy a passenger aircraft traveling from Amsterdam to Detroit on Dec. 25, 2009. Metal detectors cannot pinpoint the chemical in the device he sought to detonate, PETN. The PETN was strapped to his groin. Since a detonator could have been detected, the attacker chose — or had chosen for him — a syringe filled with acid for use as an improvised alternative means to initiate the detonation. In the event, the device failed to detonate, but it did cause a fire in a highly sensitive area of the attacker’s body. An alert passenger put out the fire. The plane landed safely. It later emerged that the attacker’s father, a prominent banker in Nigeria, had gone to the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria to warn embassy officials of his concerns that his son might be involved with jihadists.

The incident drove home a number of points. First, while al Qaeda prime — the organization that had planned and executed 9/11 — might be in shambles, other groups in other countries using the al Qaeda brand name and following al Qaeda prime’s ideology remain operational and capable of mounting attacks. Second, like other recent attacks, this attack was relatively feeble: It involved a single aircraft, and the explosive device was not well-conceived. Third, it remained and still remains possible for a terrorist to bring explosives on board an aircraft. Fourth, intelligence available in Nigeria, London and elsewhere had not moved through the system with sufficient speed to block the terrorist from boarding the flight.

An Enduring Threat

From this three things emerge. First, although the capabilities of jihadist terrorists have declined, their organizations remain functional, and there is no guarantee that these organizations won’t increase in sophistication and effectiveness. Second, the militants remain focused on the global air transport system. Third, the defensive mechanisms devised since 2001 remain ineffective to some degree.

The purpose of terrorism in its purest form is to create a sense of insecurity among a public. It succeeds when fear moves a system to the point where it can no longer function. This magnifies the strength of the terrorist by causing the public to see the failure of the system as the result of the power of the terrorist. Terror networks are necessarily sparse. The greater the number of persons involved, the more likely a security breach becomes. Thus, there are necessarily few people in a terror network. An ideal terror network is global, able to strike anywhere and in multiple places at once. The extent of the terror network is unknown, partly because of its security systems and partly because it is so sparse that finding a terrorist is like finding a needle in a haystack. It is the fact that the size and intentions of the terror network are unknown that generates the sense of terror and empowers the terrorist.

The global aspect is also important. That attacks can originate in many places and that attackers can belong to many ethnic groups increases the desired sense of insecurity. All Muslims are not members of al Qaeda, but all members of al Qaeda are Muslims, and any Muslim might be a member of al Qaeda. This logic is beneficial to radical Islamists, who want to increase the sense of confrontation between Islam and the rest of the world. This not only increases the sense of insecurity and vulnerability in the rest of the world, it also increases hostility toward Muslims, strengthening al Qaeda’s argument to Muslims that they are in an unavoidable state of war with the rest of the world. Equally important is the transmission of the idea that if al Qaeda is destroyed in one place, it will spring up elsewhere.

This terror attack made another point, intended or not. U.S. President Barack Obama recently decided to increase forces in Afghanistan. A large part of his reasoning was that Afghanistan was the origin of 9/11, and the Taliban hosted al Qaeda. Therefore, he reasoned the United States should focus its military operations in Afghanistan and neighboring Pakistan, since that was the origin of al Qaeda. But the Christmas Day terror attempt originated in Yemen, a place where the United States has been fighting a covert war with limited military resources. It therefore raises the question of why Obama is focusing on Afghanistan when the threat from al Qaeda spinoffs can originate anywhere.

From the terrorist perspective, the Yemen attack was a low-cost, low-risk operation. If it succeeded in bringing down a U.S. airliner over Detroit, the psychological impact would be massive. If it failed to do so, it would certainly increase a sense of anxiety, cause the U.S. and other governments to institute new and expensive security measures, and potentially force the United States into expensive deployments of forces insufficient to dominate a given country but sufficient to generate an insurgency. If just some of these things happened, the attack would have been well worth the effort.

The Strategic Challenge

The West’s problem can be identified this way: There is no strategic solution to low-level terrorism, i.e., terrorism carried out by a sparse, global network at unpredictable times and places. Strategy involves identifying and destroying the center of gravity of an enemy force. By nature, jihadist terrorism fails to present a single center of gravity, or a strong point or enabler that if destroyed would destroy the organization. There is no organization properly understood, and the destruction of one organization does not preclude the generation of another organization.
There are possible solutions. One is to accept that Islamist terrorism cannot be defeated permanently but can be kept below a certain threshold. As it operates now, it can inflict occasional painful blows on the United States and other countries — including Muslim countries — but it cannot threaten the survival of the nation (though it might force regime change in some Muslim countries).

In this strategy, there are two goals. The first is preventing the creation of a jihadist regime in any part of the Muslim world. As we saw when the Taliban provided al Qaeda with sanctuary, access to a state apparatus increases the level of threat to the United States and other countries; displacing the Taliban government reduced the level of threat. The second goal is preventing terrorists from accessing weapons of mass destruction that, while they might not threaten the survival of a country, would certainly raise the pain level to an unacceptable point. In other words, the United States and other countries should focus on reducing the level of terrorist capabilities, not on trying to eliminate the terrorist threat as a whole.

To a great extent, this is the American strategy. The United States has created a system for screening airline passengers. No one expects it to block a serious attempt to commit terrorism on an airliner, nor does this effort have any effect on other forms of terrorism. Instead, it is there to reassure the public that something is being done, to catch some careless attackers and to deter others. But in general, it is a system whose inconvenience is meant to reassure.

The Challenge of Identifying Potential Terrorists

To the extent to which there is a center of gravity to the problem, it is in identifying potential terrorists. In both the Fort Hood attack and the Detroit incident, information was in the system that could have allowed authorities to identify and stop the attackers, but in both cases, this information didn’t flow to the places where action could have been taken. There is thus a chasm between the acquisition of information and the person who has the authority to do something about it. The system “knew” about both attackers, but systems don’t actually think or know anything. The person with authority to stop a Nigerian from boarding the plane or who could relieve the Fort Hood killer from duty lacked one or more of the following: intelligence, real authority and motivation.

The information gathered in Nigeria had to be widely distributed to be useful. It was unknown where Abdulmutallab was going to go or what he was going to do. The number of people who needed to know about him was enormous, from British security to Amsterdam ticket agents checking passports. Without distributing the intelligence widely, it became useless. A net can’t have holes that are too big, and the failure to distribute intelligence to all points creates holes.

Of course, the number of pieces of intelligence that come into U.S. intelligence collection is enormous. How does the person interviewing the father know whether the father has other reasons to put his son on a list? Novels have been written about father-son relations. The collector must decide whether the report is both reliable and significant, and the vast majority of information coming into the system is neither. The intelligence community has been searching for a deus ex machina in the form of computers able not only to distribute intelligence to the necessary places but also to distinguish reliable from unreliable, significant from insignificant.

Forgetting the interagency rivalries and the tendency to give contracts to corporate behemoths with last-generation technology, no matter how widely and efficiently intelligence is distributed, at each step in the process someone must be given real authority to make decisions. When Janet Napolitano or George Tenet say that the system worked after an incident, they mean not that the outcome was satisfactory, but that the process operated as the process was intended to operate. Of course, being faithful to a process is not the same as being successful, but the U.S. intelligence community’s obsession with process frequently elevates process above success. Certainly, process is needed to operate a vast system, but process also is being used to deny people authority to do what is necessary outside the process, or, just as bad, it allows people to evade responsibility by adhering to the process.

Not only does the process relieve individuals in the system from real authority; it also strips them of motivation. In a system driven by process, the individual motivated to abort the process and improvise is weeded out early. There is no room for “cowboys,” the intelligence community term for people who hope to be successful at the mission rather than faithful to the process. Obviously, we are overstating matters somewhat, but not by as much as one might think. Within the U.S. intelligence and security process, one daily sees good people struggling to do their jobs in the face of processes that can’t possibly anticipate all circumstances.

The distribution of intelligence to the people who need to see it is, of course, indispensable, along with whatever other decision supports can be contrived. But, in the end, unless individuals are expected and motivated to make good decisions, the process is merely the preface to failure. No system can operate without process. At the same time, no process can replace authority, motivation and, ultimately, common sense.

The fear of violating procedures cripples Western efforts to shut down low-level terrorism. But the procedures are themselves flawed. A process that says that in a war against radical Islamists, an elderly visitor from Iceland is as big of a potential threat as a twentysomething from Yemen might satisfy some ideological imperative, but it violates the principle of common sense and blocks the authority and the motivation to act decisively.

It is significant that this is one of the things the Obama administration has changed in response to the attempted bombing.

The U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced Jan. 4 that anyone traveling from or through nations regarded as state sponsors of terrorism as well as “other countries of interest” will be required to go through enhanced screening. The TSA said those techniques would include full-body pat downs, carry-on luggage searches, full-body scanning and explosive detection technology. The U.S. State Department lists Cuba, Iran, Sudan and Syria as state sponsors of terrorism. The other countries whose passengers will face enhanced screening include Afghanistan, Algeria, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and Yemen. A rational system of profiling thus appears to be developing.

In all likelihood, no system can eliminate events such as what happened on Christmas, and in all likelihood, the republic would survive an intermittent pattern of such events — even successful ones. Focusing on the strategic level makes sense. But given the level of effort and cost involved in terrorist protection throughout the world, successful systems for distributing intelligence and helping identify potentially significant threats are long overdue. The U.S. government has been tackling this since 2001, and it still isn’t working.

But, in the end, creating a process that precludes initiative by penalizing those who do not follow procedures under all circumstances and intimidating those responsible for making quick decisions from risking a mistake is bound to fail.

Secret Service Reveals a Third Crasher at White House State Dinner

Posted:
01/4/10

The Secret Service admitted on Monday there was a third crasher at the Nov. 24 state dinner that President Obama and First Lady Michelle hosted for the Prime Minister of India. The agency issued a statement, Politics Daily has learned, because Newsmax.com posted a story on the Secret Service internal investigation that led to the discovery of another intruder at the party.

Reality television show aspirants Tareq and Michaele Salahi were unmasked by a Washington Post reporter who recognized the Virginia couple when they sailed past banks of cameras at the White House. The Secret Service took the blame for letting the Salahi's in even though they were not on the guest list. The agents on duty--three were suspended because of the incident--did not follow orders to check with their superiors and the White House social office if people showed up who were not on the list.

White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers was criticized for not posting staffers at the entrance to the East Wing to work with the Secret Service to keep crashers out.

The third interloper kept a lower profile than the Salahis--who met and were photographed with President Obama as they made their way down the receiving line at the pre-dinner reception. They also posted pictures of themselves at the dinner--with Vice President Biden and other notables--on their Facebook page.

Here's what happened, according to the Secret Service statement and Politics Daily interviews with officials familiar with the investigation:

The night of the dinner, the State Department assembled a group of Indian CEO's at the Willard Hotel, a few blocks from the White House. The State Department was responsible for the group. The interloper--who Politics Daily was told is believed to be an American--hooked up with the Indian delegation at the hotel.

"This individual went through all required security measures along with the rest of the official delegation at the hotel, and boarded a bus/van with the delegation guests en route to the White House," the Secret Service said in the statement. While the others in the delegation were on the White House "WAVES" system--meaning their names were cleared and they were on a computer database--this individual was not.

"At present, there is nothing to indicate that this individual went through the receiving line or had contact with the President or First Lady," the Secret Service statement said.

The State Department is taking responsibility for not realizing the interloper joined the delegation. State Department spokesman Ian Kelly said at Monday's briefing, "We've already instituted some procedural changes for any kind of foreign delegation that may be under our responsibility, these delegations who are slated to go to the White House."

There is an ongoing criminal investigation of the Salahis; the third crasher is also subject to a criminal probe. The Secret Service statement came out after Ronald Kessler reported on the third intruder at Newsmax.com. Kessler said the Secret Service realized there was another crasher after viewing video of arriving guests and matching them up with the guest list.

The Salahi incident is being investigated by the House Homeland Security Committee; the panel held a hearing on the security breach on Dec. 3. The Salahis have been subpoenaed to appear at the Jan. 20 committee hearing on White House security. Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) did not succeed in his attempt to subpoena Rogers. The White House blocked her from testifying at the December hearing.

The White House beefed up its security after the Salahi incident, facing a heavy season of holiday entertaining at the White House. Staffers were on hand to help agents check off arriving guests. I was told by a law enforcement official that the Salahis did not inspire any copycats: no one tried to crash the string of Obama holiday parties.

Obama: We Knew Enough to Stop Terror Attack

President Obama said this afternoon that government officials "had sufficient information to have uncovered this plot and potentially disrupt" the Christmas Day terror plot but "failed to connect [the] dots" that would have allowed them to do so.

"This was not a failure to collect intelligence, it was a failure to integrate and understand the intelligence that we already had," he said.

Following a 90-minute meeting with officials investigating how a Nigerian national with possible al Qaeda links was able to board a Detroit-bound airliner with an explosive device, Mr. Obama said "it is increasingly clear that intelligence was not fully analyzed or fully leveraged."

Mr. Obama said the intelligence community knew al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula wanted to strike the United States and that they were working with the individual who turned out to be the Christmas Day bomber.

He called the performance by the intelligence community "not acceptable."

"I will not tolerate it," said the president.

"When a suspected terrorist is able to board a plane with explosives on Christmas Day, the system has failed in a potentially disastrous way," said the president. "And it is my responsibility to find out why, and to correct that failure so that we can prevent such attacks in the future."

Mr. Obama also discussed steps already taken to improve security, including updating terror watch list system, adding more air marshals, and giving full-body searches to U.S.-bound travelers from certain countries.

He said that "while our review has found that our watch-listing system is not broken, the failure to add Abdulmutallab to the no-fly list shows that this system needs to be strengthened."

The president had already blamed "systematic failures" for allowing 23-year-old Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab to board the airliner with the explosive device, which failed to fully detonate.

Abdulmutallab was on a federal list of more than 500,000 suspected terrorists, but he was not on no-fly or additional screening watch list despite numerous red flags having been raised about him.

Following the president's comments, CBS News correspondent Bob Orr said "screening is going to be more invasive, it's going to be more expensive, and travelers should get used to the idea that the system will be slower."

At the meeting preceding the comments, Mr. Obama met with 20 top officials, including director of national intelligence Dennis Blair, CIA Director Leon Panetta and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.

"This was a screw up that could have been disastrous," he said at the meeting, according to a senior administration official. "We dodged a bullet but just barely. It was averted by brave individuals not because the system worked and that is not acceptable. While there will be a tendency for finger pointing, I will not tolerate it."

Officials are engaged in separate reviews of passenger screening procedures and the use of terror watch lists. The president said a preliminary report from counterterrorism and homeland security adviser John Brennan on the watch lists will be made public in the next few days.

The review process, the president said in his comments Tuesday, "continues to reveal more about the human and systemic failures that almost cost nearly 300 lives." The White House said that leaders from various agencies and departments took responsibility for failures at the meeting.

Napolitano, whose comment that "the system worked" not long after the bombing attempt drew widespread criticism, briefed the president Tuesday on screening procedures. The White House has indicated that it believes the larger problem to be intelligence gathering, not screening.

At his White House briefing Tuesday, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs declined to comment on whether anyone would be fired over the situation. He said Blair, Panetta and Napolitano all have the backing of the White House.

The White House also announced Tuesday that the U.S. no longer send Guantanamo Bay detainees to Yemen, at last in the short run. Abdulmutallab had ties to terrorists in that country.

Mr. Obama acknowledged that decision but said the administration was still determined to close the Guantanamo Bay prison facility, which he called "a tremendous recruiting tool for al Qaeda." About half of the remaining detainees at the facility are from Yemen, and the Department of Justice transferred six Yemeni detainees to the country's government last month.

In his comments, the president said that while he accepts "that intelligence by its nature is imperfect," officials must do better with American lives on the line.

"Time and again we've learned that quickly piecing together information and taking swift action is critical to staying one step ahead of a nimble adversary," he said. "So we have to do better, and we will do better, and we have to do it quickly."

Failed to Connect the Dots?

Failed to Connect the Dots?

Too much, too soon.

On Sunday night December 13, 2009, President Obama gave himself a solid B+ on his first year in office. On a ABC television special titled Oprah's 'White House Christmas Special', the president told Ms. Winfrey that on the passage of Health Care Reform he gave himself an A-, and for overall performance during his first 11 moths in the Oval (Global) Office he gave himself a B+.1

Today (1/5/09), President Obama emerged from a meeting with his national security officials to admit that they "failed to connect the dots". At a news conference the president acknowledged that the underwear bomber incident could have been prevented with the information that the intelligence bureaus had on the perpetrator. President Obama said that the authorities failed to understand and integrate the red flags, and watch lists that indicated that
Abdulmutallab was a potential radical or terrorist. Abdulmutallab was able to board airplanes in Nigeria and Holland with an explosive device which he unsuccessfully attempted to detonate when he arrived in the U.S. on Christmas day.2

After a full court press for National Health Care Overhaul legislation in the House of Representatives, and in the Senate; President Obama left for a Hawaii vacation hours after the final decisive vote in the Senate on Christmas Eve; The following day a Nigerian Muslim was overpowered when he attempted to detonate plastic explosives concealed in his under garments as he approached his final destination on Northwest Airlines Flight 253 en route to Detroit, Michigan.3

President Obama was silent for at least 72 hours following the averted terrorist incident until he gave a radio statement on Monday December 28, 2009. Obama continued his 'vacation' in Hawaii until he returned to the mainland (White House) yesterday, January 4, 2009.

Last Wednesday (12/30/2009), 7 CIA agents operating in Afghanistan were killed when a Jordanian "Triple" agent (as per NPR News 1/5/2010) detonated a vest of explosives during a meeting at Forward Operating Base Chapman in Khost Province.4

The president and the first-lady flew (in vain) to Copenhagen, Denmark on 10/01/09, to make a personal appearance before the International Olympic Committee for Chicago's bid for the 2016 Olympic games.5

House Minority Leader John Boehner torched President Barack Obama Wednesday for hisEuropean trip to pitch the Chicago Olympics bid, criticizing the president for "going to go off to Copenhagen when we've got serious issues here at home that need to be debated."6

The president also made two other trips to Scandinavia within weeks:
1.Norway - Oslo: December 10 - First trip to Noway. Obama was accepting the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize.

2.Denmark - Copenhagen: December 18 - Obama made a speech at the Bella Center to attendants of the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2009 (Cop7).7

  • An U.S. Army psychiatrist of the Muslim faith, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan opened fire at Fort Hood, Texas, killing 12 people and wounding 31 others, was shot but captured alive on Thursday, November 5, 2009.8

  • An uninvited northern Virginia couple, Tareq and Michaele Salahi, crashed the White House party which President Obama held in honor of visiting Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on November 24.9

When you look back at the beginning of the Obama Administration when they attempted to critique everything the previous administration did; They promised to close down Camp X Ray in Guantanamo, they promised not to torture enemy combatants, they promised to bring the troops home asap, etc.
Fast forward to the present, and evaluate this "Yes We Can & Change" Administration.

Do you see many of the same things being done as they were during the Bush Administration?

Do we see one misstep after another being committed?

To use Basketball lingo: Are we hearing Obama talk a good game while the team loses?

As I examine the facts surrounding the Obama Administration's performance so far; I wonder how could anyone ever reward such a presidency a B+? I believe that the president is a little too generous when it comes to his own performance. Any objective observer of President Obama can detect a streak of narcissism in his demeanor. If the president were to warrant a B+, it would not be for his achievements in ramming through Health Care Overhaul Reform, or for nominating the 6th Roman Catholic on the U.S. Supreme Court? It would probably be for boasting. How can someone earn a prize before he earns it? Especially, when one's greatest proponent or fan is himself. Yes, a B+ for Boastfulness, Brashness, Boldness, Buzz-words, but certainly not for Believability.

I thought long and hard before writing this; However, when I see all the hype coming from the White House that professes to do one thing and does another; I can not remain silent. There's a funny saying that states that "flattery will get you nowhere". But, when you flatter yourself, you can fall flat on your face.

Failed to Connect the Dots?

After the attacks of September 11,2001, the Department of Homeland Security was created during a reorganization of intelligence and defense agencies (to work in partnership and share information) to prevent terrorist attacks on United States soil.

US Department of Homeland Security - Department of Homeland ...
Governmental agency works to prevent terrorist attacks within the United States, reduce America's vulnerability to terrorism, and minimize the damage from ...
.
.
If you can't achieve the task of preventing terrorist attacks when the CIA is aware of potential terrorists intending to cause casualties? Or when DHS, the largest Intelligence/Law Enforcement body in the U.S. can't stop an attack? Who can?
.
Don't tell me it's time to create another bureaucracy?

Brit Hume To Tiger Woods: Forget Buddhism -- Come On Over To Christianity If You Want 'Forgiveness' And 'Redemption' (VIDEO)

Jillian Rayfield January 4, 2010, 8:41AM

Yesterday, Fox News' Brit Hume weighed in on the Tiger Woods sex scandal, offering Tiger some practical advice for obtaining "forgiveness" for his indiscretions: Hume said that Tiger, who Hume identified as a Buddhist, should "turn to the Christian faith" so he can get the "kind of forgiveness and redemption" needed to make "a total recovery and be a great example to the world."

Hume said:

The extent to which he can recover seems to me depends on his faith. He is said to be a Buddhist. I don't think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith. So My message to Tiger would be, "Tiger, turn to the Christian faith and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world.

"Here's the full clip:

Reactions to Hume's comments have been unsurprisingly shocked, with The Atlantic's Andrew Sullivan commenting that "the pure sectarianism of this comment - its adoption of the once-secular stage of political journalism to insert a call for apostasy - is striking."

The Washington Monthly's Steve Benen was also appalled:

It's hard to even know where to start with something like this. How many high-profile Christians have had damaging sex scandals of late? Why is Buddhism deemed inadequate for those with family problems? Why is a senior political analyst for a so-called "news" network proselytizing, on the air, during one of the network's "news" programs? The folks on Morning Joe took a more jovial tone about the comments, with Mika Brzezinski snarking: "So find a religion that forgives you for your idiotic behavior. Change your religion and you'll be OK!"

Andy Serwer piped in: "It's also interesting that Brit Hume is an expert on Buddhism,. I mean that surprises me."

Mika had the final word: "I think honestly we should just keep our opinions to ourselves."

Let's ask Jesus: What was Mary's role?

Jesus spoke the Truth

In regards to Mary the mother of Jesus; I've always thought she was just a very fortunate woman. I believe she was chosen by God to be the earthly mother of Jesus. There were no other honors afforded her besides bearing and raising Jesus the Christ. Mary was a highly esteemed woman in God's eyes, but she was a mortal human (fallible) being. There are no additional honors due to her besides the ones she receive; She is not to be worshiped or adored in violation of the ten commandments.

On several occasions during Christ's life as portrayed in the New Testament we hear Jesus demonstrate His superiority to Mary; Such was the case the time when He stood behind at Jerusalem, then Mary discovered Him missing she asked Him what He was doing in the temple: "I must be about my Father's business" -

49And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
50And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.
51And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
52And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
.
Luke 2:49-52.

On another occasion Jesus was at a wedding when His mother Mary asked Him about the wine, ("They have no wine"), He answered her:

4Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
5His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
.
John 2:4,5.

Once while Jesus spoke to the pharisees about the Sabbath, healing, and signs someone hinted that Mary wanted to see Him:

46While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
47Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
48But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Matthew 12:46-50.

27And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
28But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Luke 11:27, 28.

Finally, while Jesus was dying at the cross he saw His mother Mary and John His beloved disciple, He instructed them:

25Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.
26When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son!
27Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

John 19:25-27.

The world's veneration of the virgin Mary is contrary to the words of Jesus, and in direct opposition to the Gospels and the Ten commandments. I've often wondered where this undue worship of Mary comes from? It is central to Roman Catholic doctrines and dogmas, but, not restricted to their church alone. While surfing the Internet I was perplexed by this peculiar poem titled 'Not Only Mary's Song'. Does this seem like sound doctrine to you?

It is a well established Biblical fact that all the honor and glory and power is for the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and no one else. Let's always remember that!

Napolitano/DHS: "The System Worked"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6V_Godcyq-shttp://

Ex-Illuminati Explains Global Agenda

Prior to discussing actual programming techniques, it is important to understand the philosophy underlying why the Illuminists are programming people. All groups have goals, and the Illuminists are no exception. Money making is not their final goal - it is a means to an end. This end point, or goal, is no less than to rule the world. The Illuminati has a set plan similar to the Soviet Union's previous "5- year" and "10- year " plans. This is what the Illuminists themselves believe and teach their followers as gospel truth.

Whether they will actually succeed is another matter altogether. The following is the Illuminist agenda at ALL levels of the Illuminati. As with any goal, the Illuminati has specific steps which it plans to implement to reach its objectives. Briefly, each region of the United States has "nerve centers" or power bases for regional activity. The United States has been divided up into seven major geographical regions. Each region has localities within it that contain military compounds and bases that are hidden in remote, isolated areas or on large private estates.

mThese bases are used intermittently to teach and train generational Illuminati in military techniques, hand- to- hand combat, crowd control, use of arms, and all aspects of military warfare. Why? Because the Illuminists believe that our government, as we know it, as well as the governments of most nations around the world, are destined to collapse. These will be planned collapses, and they will occur in the following ways:

The Illuminati has planned first for a financial collapse that will make the great depression look like a picnic. This will occur through the maneuvering of the great banks and financial institutions of the world, through stock manipulation, and interest rate changes. Most people will be indebted to the federal government through bank and credit card debt, etc. The governments will recall all debts immediately, but most people will be unable to pay and will be bankrupted. This will cause generalized financial panic which will occur simultaneously worldwide, as the Illuminists firmly believe in controlling people through finances.

Next there will be a military takeover, region by region, as the government declares a state of emergency and martial law. People will have panicked, there will be an anarchical state in most localities, and the government will justify its move as being necessary to control panicked citizens. The cult trained military leaders and people under their direction will use arms as well as crowd control techniques to implement this new state of affairs. This is why so many survivors under 36 years of age report having military programming. People who are not Illuminists or who are not sympathetic to their cause, will resist. The Illuminists expect this and will be (and are BEING) trained in how to deal with this eventuality. They are training their people in hand-to- hand combat, crowd control, and, if necessary, will kill to control crowds. The Illuminati is training their people to be prepared for every possible reaction to the takeover. Many mind control victims will also be called into duty with preset command codes. These codes are meant to call out a new, completely cult loyal presenting system. Shatter codes programmed under trauma will be used to destroy or bury non-cult loyal alters.

Military bases will be set up, in each locality (actually, they are already here, but are covert). In the next few years, they will go above ground and be revealed. Each locality will have regional bases and leaders to which they are accountable. The hierarchy will closely reflect the current covert hierarchy.

About five years ago, when I left the Illuminati, approximately 1% of the US population was either part of the Illuminati, sympathetic to it, or a victim of Mind Control (and therefore considered useable). While this may not sound like many, imagine 1% of the population highly trained in the use of armaments, crowd control, psychological and behavioral techniques, armed with weapons and linked to paramilitary groups.

These people will also be completely dedicated to their cause. The Illuminati firmly believes that it can easily overcome the other 99% of the population, most of whom are untrained, or poorly trained, such as "weekend hunters." Even the local military will be overcome as the Illuminati will have regional cell groups with highly trained leaders. They also count on the element of surprise helping them during their takeover. Many of the highest leaders in the militia branch of the Illuminati are or have been officers in the military, and so already have a good knowledge of which techniques will work best to overcome a region's or locality's defenses.

After the military takeover, the general population will be given a chance to either espouse the Illuminati's cause, or reject it (with imprisonment, pain, even death being possible punishments). These people very much believe that the intelligent, or "enlightened" or Illuminated, were born to rule. They are arrogant, and consider the general population as "dumb sheep" who will be easily led if offered strong leadership, financial help in an unstable world economy, and dire consequences if the person rebels. Their utter ruthlessness, and ability to implement this agenda, should not be minimized.

The Illuminati banking leaders, such as the Rothschilds, the Van derBilts, the Rockefellers, the Carnegies, and the Mellons, as examples, will reveal themselves, and offer to "save" the floundering world economy. A new system of monetary exchange, based on an international monetary system, and based between Cairo, Egypt, and Brussels, Belgium, will be set up. A true "one world economy", creating the longed for "one world order", will become reality.

There is more to the Illuminist agenda, but these are the basics of it. This agenda is what the Illuminati really, truly, believe, teach, and train for. They are willing to give their lives up in this cause, in order to teach the next generation, as they believe that their children are their legacy. I was told that my children's generation would see this takeover, sometime in the 21st century. At present, the Illuminati have quietly and covertly fostered their takeover plan by their goals of the infiltration of:

1.The media

2.The banking system

3.The educational system

4.The government, both local and federal

5.The sciences

6.The churches

They are currently, and have been working the last several hundred years, on taking over these 6 areas. They do NOT go to an institution, and say "hi, I'm a local Illuminist, and I'd like to take over your bank). Instead, they begin by having several people quietly invest funds over several years, gradually buying more and more shares in the bank (or other institution that they wish to control), until they have a financial controlling interest in it. They never openly disclose their agenda, or their cult activities, as often they are amnesic to them. These are well respected, "Christian" appearing business leaders in the community. The image in the community is all important to an Illuminist; they will do anything to maintain a normal, respected facade, and DESPISE exposure. On one leadership in a major metropolitan city, where I was a member, there sat: one head of the local small business administration; one CEO of a government defense firm; one principal of a Christian school; one vice mayor of the city; one journalist; one nurse; one doctor; one behavioral psychologist, one army Colonel, and one navy Commander. All except one attended church weekly; all were well respected within the community. NONE of them appeared "evil", or "marked".

If you met them in person, you would probably instantly like any of these intelligent, verbal, likeable, even charismatic people. This is their greatest cover, since we often expect great evil to "appear" evil, led by media portrayals of evil as causing changes in the face and demeanor of people, or marking them like the biblical Cain. None of the Illuminists that I have known, had unkind, or evil appearing, persona in their daytime lives, although some were dysfunctional, such as being alcoholics. The dissociation that drives the Illuminists is their greatest cover for being undetected at this time. Many, if not most, of these people are completely unaware of the great evil that they are involved in, during the night.

There are other groups which are not actually part of the Illuminati, but the Illuminati are aware of them. The Illuminati are not the only group that follows esoteric practices, or worships ancient deities or demons. They encourage divisiveness between different groups (divide and conquer is one of their ruling principles), and are not concerned about other groups. Instead, they will often welcome them into their umbrella, if possible. This has been happening more and more in recent years, as the Illuminati trade teaching their training principles, which are considered the best by most secretive groups, in exchange for loyalty to the Illuminati. They will send their trainers to these groups, and the trainers will report to the local regional council.

In the political arena , the Illuminists will fund both sides of a race, because their greatest maxim is that "out of chaos comes order", or the discipline of anarchy. That is why they sent arms to, and funded, both sides of both the great World Wars in this century. They believe that history is a game, like chess; that only out of strategy, fighting, conflict, and testing can the strong emerge. I no longer agree with this philosophy, but at one time, I did, with all my heart. Hopefully, as these people and their agenda are exposed the common man will rise up against this intended rule to be foisted upon an unsuspecting mankind. (Svali)

A passenger train with only three staff members aboard has reportedly crashed into a hotel by Helsinki's main railway station, slightly injuring one person.

Finnish transport officials said that a mechanical failure in the brakes was the source of the accident, which took place at 0712 GMT on Monday, causing four carriages weighing approximately 70 tons to crash into the Holiday Inn hotel.

The incident happened as the intercity train was being towed to Helsinki central train station.

An official from the Finnish Transport Agency told reporters that the three staff members aboard had alerted their colleagues at the station ahead of the crash, who helped clear passengers away from the incoming trains.

The hotel's conference room, which was empty at the time of the accident, has been severely damaged.

Officials fear that the building would collapse along with the nearby offices of Ernest & Young of the train is moved.

It was not immediately known why the brakes failed, or how the carriages dismantled from the train.

"We have two marshals down and a suspect in custody," Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Roxanna Lea Irwin said after the shooting ended at about 8 a.m.

Police and federal agents swarmed the multi-story building, and paramedics wheeled at least two people out and down a ramp to ambulances. There was no immediate word on the identity of the wounded shooter.

Las Vegas police spokeswoman Barbara Morgan said the shooter had been shot in the head and apprehended near the federal building.

"It looks like he went in there and just started unloading, we don't know," Morgan said.

The multi-story building houses federal courts and offices for federal officials including U.S. Sens. Harry Reid and John Ensign.

Irwin said she saw shotgun casings on the floor of the lobby.

Burj Dubai opens to public

Dubai's breif history of mega projects

Full coverage: Dubai debt crisis

The $1.5 billion structure, an "unprecedented" engineering marvel that was thrown open to the public today, was built with a major contribution from India, a vast labour force.

The steel and glass tower was opened by Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid al Maktoum, who also lifted the veil on a closely guarded secret of its final height.

"Emirates has made a mark on the world and Dubai has built something for the world that is built by human beings," Sheikh Mohammed said while announcing the tower open. The paratroopers then came down to greet onlookers.

The launch coincided with the fourth ascencion to the throne of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The Burj Dubai Metro station also opened today to mark the launch.

Declaring that the tower is 818 metres (2,684 feet) high, he said the new building pips all its nearest rivals, including the 101-storey high Taipei Tower in Taiwan.

Sheikh Mohammad inaugurated the tower in a colourful ceremony featuring dazzling laser lights, fireworks display and a choreographed water display on the Dubai fountains which stretch for 275 metres at the foot of the tower.

The Dubai Burj's record seeking builders are also boasting of the highest occupied floor of any building in the world and today the needle-shaped tower ranks taller than north Dakota's television mast.
