Feastkeeping

This is an error of the last days. It is an insult to Heaven to return to the ceremonies and symbols which the great anti-type has done away.

~*********************************************~

The Jewish system was symbolical, and was to continue until the perfect Offering should take the place of the figurative. .... The extent of the terrible consequences of sin could never have been known, had not the remedy provided been of infinite value. The salvation of fallen man was procured at such an immense cost that angels marveled, and could not fully comprehend the divine mystery that the Majesty of Heaven, equal with God, should die for the rebellious race. [2SP] p. 11, Para. 1.

At the crucifixion, as JESUS died on Calvary, he cried, It is finished, and the vail of the temple was rent in twain, from the top to the bottom. This was to show that the services of the earthly Sanctuary were forever finished, and that GOD would no more meet with them in their earthly temple, to accept their sacrifices. [GC58] p. 161, Para. 1.

Some are constantly trying to separate the sacrifices from the feasts for the purpose of preaching the “keeping” of the feast days. Why? Because only at Jerusalem at a special spot, in the providence of God controlled by non-Jews, is the place a sacrifice can be made. Even the Jews await the day that spot will be given into their control.

Therefore, something must be done to get past the difficulty. So they just try to separate the sacrifices from the feasts to facilitate a Satanic delusion.

Earthquake, aftershocks felt across Oklahoma, region

Multiple earthquakes shook much of central Oklahoma early Saturday, rousing people from their sleep as far away as Kansas City, Mo.

FROM STAFF REPORTS
Published: November 5, 2011

A 4.7 magnitude earthquake rattled homes across central Oklahoma early Saturday morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the initial quake was centered about six miles north of Prague about 2:12 a.m.

That quake was followed by a series of aftershocks. A 3.4 magnitude aftershock was felt moments later followed by another 2.7 magnitude aftershock about five miles southeast of Sparks. Sparks is east of the metro area in Lincoln County.

And those aftershocks continued into this morning as a 3.6 magnitude quake struck about 8:36 a.m., also centered about two miles southeast of Sparks.

The National Weather Service in Norman said via its Facebook page the earthquake was felt in Norman and also as far away as weather offices in Topeka, Kansas and Pleasant Hill, Missouri.

There have been no reports of significant damage caused by the quake. According to OG&E's system watch page it did not cause power outages anywhere in that company's coverage area across the state. Oklahoma Natural Gas is not reporting any gas leaks or service outages.

Tom Foster was awakened in his southwest Oklahoma City home by what he believes was an aftershock.

"It was a little later than what they say was the initial quake so I think I felt one of the after shocks," he said. "The bigger quake didn't wake me up. But I know we've already had several phone calls from out of state relatives wondering what happened. I guess it's more interesting than anything that was dangerous."

Heather Spicer of Sapulpa said the quake woke her son and dog up.
"At first I thought and airplane had crashed nearby," she said. "But now I believe it was an earthquake because the whole house just kept vibrating with what sounded like distant thunder outside."

Matt Hoover of Perkins was wrapping birthday presents at 2:20 a.m. when he felt the quake. He thought the experience, his first with a quake, was exciting.

"The whole house started to shake and a low rumble could be heard throughout the house," he said. "It lasted about 20 seconds."

In UK, Guy Fawkes remembered with protests

The Associated Press

LONDON — "Remember, remember, the fifth of November." The 400-year-old story of Guy Fawkes and other plotters' failure to blow up London's Parliament is traditionally marked in Britain with this schoolchildren's rhyme, bonfires and mulled wine at fun fairs.

In this photo taken Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, an Occupy Seattle protester wears a Guy Fawkes mask while protesting in downtown Seattle. From New York to San Francisco to London, some of the demonstrators decrying a variety of society's ills are sporting the stylized masks loosely modeled on a 17th-century English terrorist, whether they know it or not. The masks come from "V for Vendetta," a comic-based movie whose violent, anarchist antihero fashions himself as a modern Guy Fawkes, the Catholic insurrectionist executed four centuries ago for trying to blow up Parliament. But this year Guy Fawkes Day is taking on a distinctly political flavor, as protesters inspired by the folk hero marched on Parliament — though with entirely different motivations than the 17th-century activist.

Fawkes is a household historical name in Britain for plotting with 12 other conspirators to blow up Parliament with explosives, assassinate King James I and install a Catholic monarch in the botched "Gunpowder Plot" of 1605.

The conspiracy fell apart when authorities found out about it and caught Fawkes guarding barrels of gunpowder in the cellar of Parliament. Fawkes was tried as a traitor, and the king's narrow escape has been celebrated every year on Nov. 5, with fireworks and the burning of effigies known as "guys" across the country.

Although not widely known outside Britain, the folk hero's story has recently been seized upon as a potent symbol against state power with the rise of two modern anti-government movements.

Stylized Guy Fawkes plastic masks — with a clownish, sinister mustachioed smile and features loosely based on drawings of Fawke — have been worn by hundreds of protesters from the anti-capitalist Occupy Wall Street movement from New York to London. And before that, members of the international rogue collective of "hackivists" known as Anonymous had worn the now instantly recognizable masks during protests against the Church of Scientology.

The design of the masks came from the comic book and movie "V for Vendetta," which features a violent, anarchist antihero who fashions himself a modern day Guy Fawkes and rebels against a fictional fascist government.

On Saturday, a group including many who wore the same masks tried to march into London's Parliament Square, but it was blocked by a heavy police presence. Many of the activists were the same people behind the Occupy London movement, which has set up camp outside the iconic St. Paul's Cathedral for weeks to protest social inequality and the excesses of the banking industry.

Meanwhile Anonymous, which has made a name for itself by launching cyber attacks on government and large corporate websites, also seized on Guy Fawkes Day by backing an online campaign urging people to collectively withdraw their money from large banks Saturday in a bid to show their anger against the banking sector. Activists have dubbed Saturday "Bank Transfer Day" and "Operation Cashback."

In Britain, the nursery rhyme "Remember, remember, the fifth of November/ Gunpowder, treason and plot" is familiar to most as a warning that treason would never be forgiven.

Men Who Have Arisen

LESSONS FROM THE PAST

From time to time, men have arisen in our ranks with a message. But there were earmarks in their conduct and/or in their message that were as red flags which should have been a warning. Other men arose whose deportment and message were both beneficial.

...

Milian Lauritz Andreasen (1876-1962) was another man who arose among us with a message. But M.L. Andreasen was neither proud nor did he try to tear down our God—given Bible—Spirit of Prophecy beliefs. Instead, he sought to defend them, even though to do so meant opposing leaders in our denomination. Andreasen was not afraid to name names and call sin by its right name.

For decades, he had been a leading evangelist, and later dean or president of one or more of our colleges. Andreasen had a clear mind and never swerved from loyalty to the God of heaven and the Bible—Spirit of Prophecy writings. He wrote 13 books, and, by the 1940s and 1950s, was our leading authority on the sanctuary service.
But while the Evangelical Conferences met in the mid-1950s, efforts were made to keep a lid on the doctrinal sellout that our leaders in Washington were carrying out with representatives of the Evangelicals. When M. L. Andreasen learned what was happening, he was aghast.

It is an intriguing fact that there were hundreds of other men in our colleges, publishing houses, administrative offices, and local churches, who also gradually learned what was taking place. Word spreads fast among the work force. But, fearing to lose their job, nearly everyone kept quiet. But not M. L. Andreasen. He would not sell out for a mess of pottage. You will find the entire story of what occurred in our Evangelical Conferences, now in section two of our Doctrinal History Tractbook. Andreasen published the facts and named the names. He called sin by its right name. The only response was to castigate him as a "troublemaker.” But he could rightly reply, as did Elijah to Ahab, "I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the Lord, and thou hast followed Baalim" (read 1 Kings 18:17—18).

Not the burden of denouncing error, but the vicious response of rejection and abandonment hurled at the man from every direction, led to bleeding ulcers which killed Andreasen in 1962. He died a martyr for God's truth. And that is not a poetic sentiment, but an accurate statement.

Andreasen was a man who arose with a message—not of denunciation of the Spirit of Prophecy or our historic beliefs,—but rather a defense of both, combined with a strong reproof of the very men who were trying to new—model our beliefs into an image of modern Protestant error.

M. L Andreasen tried as hard as he could to stem the doctrinal apostasy that two men in Washington, D.C. (LE. Froom and RA. Anderson) were agreeing to, in order to keep peace with Walter Martin and Donald Barnhouse, so those Protestant leaders would print in their journal, Eternity; that we were a true-blue "Evangelical" church.

Most of Andreasen's efforts were made in the middle and late 1950s. Soon another voice was to be raised in our church.

From Roughnecks to Bosses, Ministry Seeks to Save Souls in the Oilfields

John Bird founded the Oilfield Christian Fellowship, which distributes a version of the Bible called “God's Word for the Oil Patch.”

By SAMUEL G. FREEDMAN

Published: November 4, 2011

JEWETT, Tex. — With a box of Bibles as cargo, John Bird steered his Chevy Suburban off a two-lane road in the oil patch of East Texas and pulled up to the isolated derrick of Energy Drilling Company Rig 9. He was delivering the holy books to a man named Robert Bailey, the site superintendent, known in industry jargon as a tool pusher.

The two men had never met, and Rig 9 was a modest destination, a cluster of turbines and trailers around a steel tower, all of it surrounded on three sides by a cattle ranch. On a brilliant autumn Saturday, the kind normally reserved for the Texan religion of football, Mr. Bird had driven there, 140 miles from his home outside Houston, on behalf of the Oilfield Christian Fellowship.

He had helped found the lay ministry 20 years earlier with the aim of evangelizing among the itinerants and tough guys and hard livers who populate the rigs. That effort took the textual form of a Bible interspersed with testimonies from oil workers, sized to fit in the back pocket of overalls and titled “God’s Word for the Oil Patch: Fuel for the Soul.”

Mr. Bailey, the middle man in this particular transaction, had endured 15 years of crystal meth addiction and repeated rounds of jail and drug rehab. Clean and sober for three years now, he still has the weathered face and scarred veins to show for his journey and a story of salvation he is eager to share.

“People always say the Lord looks out for fools and idiots,” Mr. Bailey, 38, joked with Mr. Bird as they sat in a trailer, its walls covered with specs for drill bits, occupational safety fliers and an 800 number for poison control. “And that’s the truth, because I was the biggest fool and idiot.”

So as Mr. Bird handed over 10 copies of the special Bible for Mr. Bailey to pass out to co-workers, and as he promised to ship a carton with 20 more, he was enacting the most foundational of Christianity’s commands, spreading the good news of the Lord. And in an era of high-tech proselytizing, by computer and satellite and smartphone app, he was doing it in a way as ancient as the faith itself.

“It’s 2,000 years old,” Mr. Bird said of the fellowship’s evangelism. “Jesus, when he was out witnessing, was rejected by plenty of people. So he said, ‘Shake the dust off your sandals and get on down the road.’ I’m 68. I don’t have time to waste.”

He certainly has wasted little in the last 20 years. Since its founding, the Oilfield Christian Fellowship has expanded from a single room in Houston to rigs off the coasts of Brazil and Gabon and to trailer chapels in the oil shale boomtowns of Wyoming and North Dakota. It has distributed 125,000 copies of “God’s Word for the Oil Patch” in English and Spanish and is now publishing a version in Mandarin as well.

The fellowship has accomplished all this in an industry fearsomely resistant to the niceties of religion. Rig work is measured in the extremes of boom-and-bust cycles; of weeks on the job with nowhere to go and weeks off the job with money to spend; of families waiting a state or a continent away; of drugs, alcohol, gambling and pornography all abundantly at hand.

“The oil and gas industry is the last vestige of cowboys and rough and tumble,” Mr. Bird said. “When someone died on the rig, you just mopped up the blood and everyone went back to work. Christianity was seen as a sissy thing.”

Back in 1991, when Mr. Bird was selling specialized chemicals for drilling, a friend and petroleum engineer named Jim Teague asked how many Christians he knew in the industry. After Mr. Bird struggled to come up with eight or nine names, Mr. Teague said, “That many?”

Even so, the two men persuaded the pastor of First Baptist, a Houston megachurch, to let them try to hold a prayer breakfast. By word of mouth alone, 46 people turned out for the 6 a.m. event. The next one, a Wednesday lunch, drew 250.

Many of these oil workers, it was true, attended more as a way of networking and job hunting during a recession than of worshipping the Almighty. Then again, they may have been the economic version of the foxhole that has no atheists. Mr. Bird and Mr. Teague realized they were onto something.

From the outset, the two leaders insisted that the fellowship be composed of lay volunteers, not paid professionals. Among the leathery skeptics of the oil patch, Mr. Bird believed, a minister preaching the born-again message would be dismissed as a mere salesman. An oil worker sharing his Christian witness would be far more credible.

Sure enough, from the roughnecks at the bottom of the industry hierarchy to the executives at the top, the fellowship attracted a growing number of members. One of them, a drilling engineer, Mike Chaffin, proposed that instead of just sending out Bibles, the fellowship should design its own, targeted at oil workers. So he elicited and edited 16 personal testimonies — from sales representatives, engineers, even a chief executive — to be incorporated amid the New International Version text. A first printing of 5,000 in 2006 has now gone well into six figures.

What the phenomenon comes down to is the same thing that worked for the original apostles: relationships. Several years ago, newly saved and newly sober, Mr. Bailey spotted a rig buddy reading “God’s Word for the Oil Patch.” He found out he could order his own from this fellow named Mike Chaffin, and so he did. Since then, Mr. Bailey has received and given away upward of 150 copies, along with his own tale of degradation and redemption.

“I just tell them God blesses them and loves them,” he said of his evangelism. “I minister to them about things that happened in my life, and I tell them the answers are all in this book.

“Some people just look at you like you’re stupid. Others say they lost the book, whatever the excuse is. But that’s all right. It’s about planting seeds. Once you plant the seeds and fertilize them, something’s going to grow.”

Prayer gathering in Detroit has Muslims on guard

Associated Press

1:40 p.m. CDT, November 3, 2011

DETROIT— A 24-hour prayer gathering expected to draw thousands of Christians to a Detroit sports stadium has some leaders of the area's large Muslim population expressing concern about their own safety.

The event described as a "solemn assembly" and known as TheCall comes to Ford Field Nov. 11. Organizers say Detroit is a "microcosm of our national crisis" that includes economic and racial struggles, as well as "the rising tide of the Islamic movement."

Backers of the decade-old organization say demons have taken hold of specific geographic areas and urge public engagement.

Muslim leaders say they fear some attendees might provoke or disrupt Friday prayers at local mosques. The Council on American-Islamic Relations' Michigan chapter is urging mosques and Islamic schools to increase.

Messages were left Thursday for event organizers.

What if Guy Fawkes's Gunpowder Plot had succeeded in 1605?

World history would have been very different – with a guillotine in Trafalgar Square, no Big Macs and Tony Blair as president of Britain.

By Max Davidson

7:30AM GMT 05 Nov 2011

What if Guy Fawkes had pulled it off? Even four centuries after the Gunpowder Plot was foiled, the hypothesis grabs the imagination.

James I blown to smithereens at the opening of Parliament. Hundreds of MPs and peers murdered. The ruling class of England wiped out at a stroke. Pandemonium on the streets. A crater hundreds of yards wide in what is now Parliament Square.

As a terrorist atrocity, striking at the heart of a nation, it would have dwarfed 9/11. Guy Fawkes would not have been a harmless bumbler, recreated in pillowcases stuffed with leaves and chucked on bonfires, but a hate figure to rival Osama bin Laden.

Lovers of counter-factual history – the things that would have happened if events had taken a slightly different turn – have had a field day with the plot that was so dramatically thwarted in November 1605.

It was a Catholic plot aimed at engineering a transition to a Catholic monarchy; but Catholics constituted such a tiny proportion of the population that it had little realistic chance of success.

Even if the Houses of Parliament had been blown sky-high, the scale of the carnage would surely have provoked a backlash against Catholics by the Protestant majority, similar to the backlash against Muslims after 9/11. The England that emerged might have been a nastier, less tolerant society, which might in turn have made the development of a liberal constitutional monarchy less likely.

Depending how things had panned out after that – and during the Civil War, if there had been a Civil War – we might have had our own version of the French Revolution in the late 18th century, with a guillotine in Trafalgar Square and tricoteuses from Kent and Sussex doing cross-stitch in Whitehall. Instead of our dear Queen, we might be lumbered with Tony Blair as president. Chills the blood, doesn’t it?

One piquant aspect of this historical parlour game is that, if James I had been assassinated by Guy Fawkes, along with his eldest son Henry, the next in line would have been Charles I, who was only four and would have needed supervising 24/7 by a no-nonsense nanny with a good grasp of the English constitution.

Another likely consequence of James being assassinated is that Shakespeare would never have produced Macbeth, which was written to curry favour with James and probably first performed in 1606, in the wake of the Gunpowder Plot. The King James Bible, work on which started in 1604, would probably have survived a successful Gunpowder Plot, although it would be called the King Charles Bible, which doesn’t have the same ring. But can we be so sure about other achievements of James’s reign?

If there had been constitutional upheaval in the years following 1605, it is hard to believe that the colonisation of the New World – Jamestown, Virginia, the first major English settlement in America, was established in 1607 – would have proceeded at the same rate. The French might have stolen a march on us, the United States might have become Les États Unis and Americans might now eat croissants rather than Big Macs.

There would be no baseball World Series, just boules in the town square, and given the French love of wine, there would certainly have been no Prohibition, which would have put the kibosh on that Prohibition-era film classic Some Like It Hot – which would have robbed Marilyn Monroe of her most famous role, which might have meant Jack Kennedy having an affair with someone else, which could have impacted on the Cuban missile crisis...

So many what-ifs. So many might-have-beens. Would MPs have fiddled their expenses if, somewhere in their collective consciousness, there lingered a folk memory of Parliament being razed to the ground in a bonfire of the vanities? Would we take Parliament more – or less – seriously?

Perhaps the one stone-cold certainty is that, if the plot had succeeded, Bonfire Night would never have evolved in its present form. Generations of children would have been spared the indignity of sitting on street corners, in front of a padded sack with a pumpkin on top, squeaking ''Penny for the Guy’’. We would have had fewer over-the-top firework displays that cost millions and are over in minutes. And the Health and Safety Executive would have had to find something else to fuss about – which is perhaps scariest of all.

Occupy...Starbucks?

Is that what we think it is?

The Nutcracker featured on Starbucks' new holiday cups shows some very familiar similarities to the Guy Fawkes mask that is often associated with group Anonymous and Occupy Wall Street protesters.

Was the resemblance to the Guy Fawkes mask intentional? Well, it may be.

As the Gothamist points out, Starbuck's [SBUX 44.19 2.79 (+6.74%) ] CEO Howard Schultz has recently made some comments about the political and social state of the United States that could be interpreted as support for the protesters.

Supporting the Guy Fawkes cup theory is a recent statement made by none other than Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz. "We've lost something," Schultz said. "We've either lost our conscience, or lost our soul... People want human connection... I thought there would be social unrest in America. I mean violence."

Guy Fawkes mask inspires Occupy protests around the world

A member of Anonymous UK at the Occupy London sports the Guy Fawkes mask in London on November 3.

London, England (CNN) -- Generations of Britons have grown up pledging to "Remember remember the fifth of November: Gunpowder, treason and plot" -- the figure of Guy Fawkes linked forever with fireworks, bonfires and childhood fun.

Now -- more than four hundred years after the gruesome death of the man who plotted to blow up the Houses of Parliament with barrels of gunpowder -- members of the Occupy and Anonymous movements are hoping to provide their own reason to remember Guy Fawkes Night.

On Saturday, November 5, hundreds of protesters wearing the sinister black and white Guy Fawkes masks plan to march on Parliament in central London.

"It will be a night our government never forgets," Malcolm, a member of hacker group Anonymous, said with a smile. "Our government should be expecting us."

The march will recreate one of the final scenes of "V for Vendetta," a film based on the comic books by Alan Moore about a mysterious masked revolutionary who brings down a totalitarian regime, succeeding where Fawkes failed by blowing up parliament.

The Guy Fawkes mask, worn by V, the film's protagonist -- with its diabolical grin, devilish black moustache and thin goatee on a porcelain white background -- has become the talisman of a new generation of activists as an unprecedented wave of disgust and anger with establishment figures has swept the world.

While the mask has been spotted in Occupy protests from Oakland to Hong Kong in the past month as people rally against what they perceive as growing corporate greed and rising social inequality, the mask was first embraced by international hacker ring Anonymous in 2008.
The group of hackers, notorious for their online attacks on high profile banks and government agencies, first wore the masks to conceal their identities in public protests against the Church of Scientology in 2008.

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange recently wore one to a rally at St. Paul's Cathedral in London, where Occupy protesters and members of Anonymous have been camping in tents since the demonstration began three weeks ago.

Guy Fawkes was the only man ever to enter Parliament with honest intentions.
Member of Anonymous UK

Malcolm, a 44-year-old Anonymous member and camper, says the mask has become "an international symbol for rebellion and anonymity."

"The point of wearing the mask is to be able to go to a protest without fear of retribution or aggression from the establishment," he said, his mask perched on the crown of his head.

"I have no problem with anyone having my identity, but I like the fact I can choose not to."
Joshua Whitfield, 19, is a fan of the Vendetta books but says it doesn't matter why people choose to wear it.

"Some people wear it to make a fashion statement, others because they know what it's about," he said. "I thought I would show my support for the book and for Anonymous by picking up a mask and being part of the movement."

The popularity of the mask -- an estimated 100,000 were sold last year -- has created a bit of a conundrum for activists who are trying to undermine, not support, businesses owned by the establishment.

Time Warner (which also owns CNN) owns the rights to the masks, meaning every mask sold puts more money, albeit a small amount, into the corporation's coffers.

Rather than continue to give money to a company they say they don't support, activists are now having their own replica masks mass-produced and shipped in from Asia, according to several Anonymous members.

Rather than buy an officially licensed mask at a shop in central London, Whitfield said he was able to purchase his mask from an Anonymous member for £3 ($4.80).

"We don't really want people putting money into corporate pockets, and this is one of our solutions," explained Anonymous's Malcolm.

In the four centuries since Fawkes was sentenced to death -- by hanging, drawing and quartering -- for his treason, there has been much debate in Britain over whether he was a terrorist or a freedom fighter.

Ironically Fawkes, far from being the anti-establishment hero he has come to be seen as in the years since his death, was a monarchist who merely wanted to replace the Anglican king with a Catholic queen.

But it is perhaps his "man of action" persona that most intrigues anti-establishment activists today, and Malcolm is quick to repeat the age-old adage about Fawkes.

"As they say -- Guy Fawkes was the only man ever to enter Parliament with honest intentions," he said with a grin.

The crisis, its origin and solution: differences of opinion in the Vatican

11/ 4/2011

Justice and Peace ten days ago published a document requesting a world political authority and the taxation of financial transactions. Now in “L'Osservatore Romano”, the president of the IOR offers a different recipe

Against G20
Against G20

Andrea Tornielli
Vatican City

Ten days ago, the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, led by Cardinal Peter Appiah Turkson and bishop Mario Toso, published a document dedicated to the economic-financial crisis and its possible solutions. The document listed among the causes of the crisis, the economic system “pushed towards an inflationary spiral” , the “excessive liquidity and the speculative bubble that later became a serious crisis of insolvency and trust that propagated itself and was protracted over the years”. For the Vatican dicastery, “The speculative bubble regarding real estate and the recent financial crisis have the same origin in the excessive amassing of money and financial instruments on a global scale”.

The document affirmed that to come out of the crisis, a world political authority is necessary, which would guarantee market transparency. It even suggested three concrete proposals which, for that matter, are not even new: taxing financial transactions, because those who operate in the financial markets should contribute to pay the costs of the crisis; recapitalizing the banks; and distinguishing between ordinary credit activities and those of Investment Banking.

“L'Osservatore Romano”, published this afternoon but with tomorrow's date, bears an article by Ettore Gotti Tedeschi, president of the IOR, with the heading “In front of the prospects of deflation. A new model of leadership”, that sounds like a correction of course and at any rate is a different viewpoint on the crisis.

Gotti, who in the article never once cites the document from the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, affirms that “the errors of interpretation and the underestimating of the current economic crisis have been grave and continue”. And he reaffirms how much he himself has often affirmed even from the columns of the Vatican's daily, and that is, that the “true origins” of the crisis are “the decline in the birth rate, and the consequences that have led to the increase in taxes on the GDP to absorb the population's costs of aging”, themes unaddressed by the text from Cardinal Turkson's dicastery.

For Gotti Tedeschi, “the effects of decisions made to compensate these phenomena have been underestimated, above all with the delocalization of production and with the debt consumption”. He continues: “then, not enough consideration was given to the urgency of intervening and the criteria to be followed to deflate the debt produced. Thus, no one foresaw the collapse in trust that led to the redimensioning of the stock markets' prices and the debt crisis”.

For the president of the IOR, “at this point, there aren't many solutions left”, and to reduce the total debt “of the public, the banks, companies, the families – and bring it back to levels preceding the crisis, that is, to about 40 percent less, it is imaginable, but not advisable, to cancel a part of it with a type of preventive agreement on the basis of which creditors would be paid at 60 percent”.

“It is imaginable”, Gotti adds, “though it's a hypothesis with no future, to invent some new bill to compensate for the debt with a growth in the value of movable or immovable goods. It is worth considering – but we hope this is only an attempt – a tax on family wealth, sacrificing however a necessary resource for development and at the same producing time an injustice”.

The president of the IOR considers protective measures inappropriate, as “they would produce disadvantages for consumers and would reduce consumptions which are already in decline”, nor does he agree with devaluing the single currency, because “it would lead to an increase in the price of imported goods”. “Someone, to deflate the debt”, reads the article in L'Osservatore, “must also consider inflation. But inflation does not take place if there's zero economic growth, if salaries are frozen, if the shadow of unemployment looms and if even the prices of raw materials are in decline”. A passage that leads one to believe Gotti does not share the analysis of the document of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, retaining instead that today the problem is not inflation – as the Vatican dicastery suggested – but deflation.

“There is no inflation”, writes the president of the IOR, “in part because cash is not circulating, but above all because the liquidity created by the central banks has substituted that produced by the banking systems to sustain due growth. The main problem today is not inflation but deflation. The markets are favoring liquidity. This is because in a deflationary system, the value of money grows, while during inflation it decreases”.

To make the economy progress without increasing the public debt, the author of the article affirms that it is necessary “to correlate interest rates to the GDP”. “In countries with a public debt above 100 percent of the GDP, it is evident that, to obtain a 1 percent growth without causing the debt to rise, interest rates cannot exceed 1 percent, thus penalizing savings».

“The solution”, Gotti concludes, “is in the hands of the governments and the central banks, who must carry out a coordinated strategic action of reindustrialization, the reinforcement of credit institutions, and support for employment. This will take time, a time of austerity in which to reconstitute the fundamentals of economic growth. But above all, governments must inspire trust in the citizens and the markets through a mode of governing that is suited to the times, that, besides guaranteeing technical competence, would also be a model of leadership. That is, an instrument to reach to objective of the common good”.

No reference to the hypothesis of a world political authority, nor even a hint at the possibility of taxing financial transactions. In the end, another point of view about the crisis, printed in the Pope's newspaper, hardly ten days after the presentation of a document on the crisis generated by a dicastery of the Holy See.

In the midst of the Financial Crisis of the Eurozone, the COMECE Bishops call on the European Union and its citizens to refrain from blaming one another; instead we must assume co-responsibility for finding solutions. They call on European leaders to adopt a long-term perspective to overcome the crisis. These are the main messages of the Autumn Plenary Assembly of COMECE, which took place on 26 to 28 October 2011 in Brussels and was dedicated to “the Financial crisis and future of European integration”.

The Bishops heard several specialists on this complex issue. Mr Peter Wagner, from the European Commission, presented the mission of the newly created Task Force for Greece. Prof. Dr. Lans Bovenberg, Tilburg University, Dr. Emmanuel van der Mensbrugghe, Director of the IMF Office in Europe and M. Jean-Pierre Jouyet, President of the French Financial Markets Authority presented their view on the economic and political causes of the debt crisis in Europe.

The causes of the crisis are structural and they are mainly rooted in short-term and very often electorally motivated political choices over recent decades. These choices often reflect individual behaviour of credit-financed consumerism. In the current situation, a culture of blame will lead nowhere. Europeans should stay united and exercise solidarity in order to overcome the present crisis. Crisis doesn’t necessarily mean decline: it can be made an opportunity for renewal.

The President of the European Council, Herman Van Rompuy, presented to the COMECE Bishops the outcome of the European Summit, which began on 26 October. The Bishops welcomed this result, as a response to the immediate crisis. Knowing, however, that technical and short-term solutions will be insufficient, they underlined the need for developing a long term vision concerning the European Institutions and the social and economic model they promote. The interests of the younger generation in particular, who risks being the major victims of the crisis, need to be better taken into account.

The Bishops are convinced that the Church can be a force for cohesion and hope within European societies, which are threatened by populism and division. The main roots of the present Crisis are moral and spiritual. Moral relativism is changing the sense of personal and collective responsibility and the sense of the common good in the long perspective. Through their social services, Churches help the weakest in our societies; they promote human dignity and the common good against individualistic tendencies.

COMECE Bishops also adopted a declaration on Social Market Economy, a term which has been inserted into the Treaty of the European Union with the Lisbon Treaty. The text, “A European Community of Solidarity and Responsibility”, will be published in several languages in early January 2012.

Occupy the Vatican serves Eviction Notice against child raping church, as Canadian media distorts the event

Vancouver, Squamish sovereign territory
October 31, 2011:

Two dozen men and women from Occupy Vancouver and the Occupy the Vatican movement, most of them aboriginal, faced assaults and a human blockade from members of the Catholic Knights of Columbus yesterday outside Holy Rosary Cathedral, while trying to peacefully occupy it and enforce a legal eviction order against the Roman Catholic church for its murder of thousands of residentialschool children.

“I kept yelling to the police to help us but they just stood there at the church entrance and did nothing, even when the Knights of Columbus were shoving one man and making him fall right off the church steps” described a female member of Occupy Vancouver.

“It’s like the cops were being private security for the church, and the Knights of Columbus were acting like police”.

The planned occupation was called last week to bring attention to the Catholic church’s illegal occupation of Squamish land, and their genocide of native children.

On Saturday, the action was temporarily postponed after two undercover operatives were exposed as attempting to incite violence at the church.

Nevertheless, a group of native elders went to the church later and read the eviction notice to the police and catholics barring the church entrance.

The Vancouver media distorted the Sunday action to make it seem that Occupy Vancouver disavowed the action, which is not true.

No media reported the exposure of the undercover operatives or the fact that over a hundred Occupy Vancouver members have merely postponed their protest to next Sunday.

One of the protest organizers and a legal agent for Squamish elder Kiapilano, Kevin Annett (Eagle Strong Voice), commented today,

“There’s a mayoral election on in Vancouver these days, and every politician is trying to win votes by calling for the Occupy camp to be shut down.

What better scare tactic to inflame the citizenry than claiming that a bunch of wild Indians from the camp are storming a church?” commented Kevin Annett today.

Annett has been authorized by Kiapilano to enforce his 2008 Eviction Order against the Catholic church in Vancouver.

“The occupation of these churches will continue, peacefully, and with increasing support from many people. The eyes of the world or on us. We will return next Sunday” announced Annett.

Occupy the Vatican groups across Canada and the world have declared their plans to take over Catholic churches in their communities.

A Press Statement and Ultimatum addressed to the Pope and the Vancouver Catholic Archdiocese will be issued later today.

THE JESUITS AND THEIR NEW AGE ARMY

The Society of Jesus, the largest Roman Catholic Religious Order, whose members are called "Jesuits", was founded by Ignatius of Loyola. Ignatius was born at Loyola in the Spanish Basque country in 1491. He adopted a military career, and upon being wounded in the leg at the seige of Pampeluna he was obliged to undergo a long convalescence. During this time, he underwent a fantastic "Spiritual Transformation".

Being without the Tales of Chivalry which formed his favorite reading, Ignatius Loyola turned his attention to Religious books, while convalescing. And being that Ignatius was a military man- at this time, he came to the conclusion, while reading the Religious books, that his Church too- needed to have it's own "Army". It was this that prompted Loyola to form the Army of The Society of Jesus for the Roman Catholic Church, otherwise known as the Jesuit Order.

Ignatius and his six friends founded the Jesuit Order in 1534, and it received official Papal sanction in the year 1540. Ignatius became the Jesuit Order's first General.

THE LOS ALUMBRADOS- "The Illuminated Ones"

Well, there is no way to break this news gently to you, and so I will just go ahead and say it. The Founder of the Jesuit Order, Ignatius Loyola, was a Witch! Literally! Ignatius belonged to a Witchcraft Group called THE ILLUMINATI, in his native tongue called "The Los Alumbrados". (See Encyclopedia Brittanica, Vol. 14, 1910, pg. 320)

The ancient name for Babylonian Mysticism (or finding ways to get in touch with "The One", "The All", or Satan) was called "Illuminism". The Babylonians who were initiated into the Mystery Religion were said to be in posession of Illumination or THE INNER LIGHT. Supposedly, this meant they had been ENLIGHTENED or aware of the fact that they were gods. (See Encyclopedia Brittanica, Vol. 14, 1910, pg. 320)

The Western equivalent to this Eastern Mysticism is the Hermeticism or Gnosticism that we have talked about earlier in previous articles. The Gnostics were said to posess the secret knowledge that they were in reality, "Little gods", and that Lucifer was the rightful Ruler of this World! The name Lucifer actually means Morning Star or The Illuminated One. Thus, the various Mystery Religions taught that it is Lucifer (or Satan) who gives us light and shows us that we are God and have no need of repentence, but that we need only realize the "God within" and bring it to it's full potential.

Various Secret Societies throughout the Ages have taught this Babylonian Mysticism, because they knew that these Mysteries were based upon the doctrine of Luciferianism. They were known for centuries as "The Illuminati". Their name was derived from Lucifer's name: "The Illuminated One". And it is nothing more than WITCHCRAFT! Now remember the association we discovered that the Freemasonry also has with The Illuminati; just keep that in mind.

"OH GREAT ILLUMINATI, REVEAL THYSELF TO ME!"

It is interesting to note that when some Witches perform their magic, they first go into a fasting period (go without food), and meditate, to seek "inner purity". This is done in preparation to speak with demons, or with Satan himself:

"At the exact moment when the fasting (for inner purity) has produced it's purpose- that is, inner illumination, a secret, ecstatic sensation of total unity with the Universe (occurs)." -Witchcraft and the Mysteries, pg 77.

Well now... doesn't THAT sound familiar! ...the same 'ole New Age goal of becoming one with the All, or with the "Universe!" Now you have to keep in mind, we are talking about the illuminism of both the Freemasons and the Jesuits of the Roman Catholic Church. (Also keep in mind that Adam Weishaupt of the Freemason's Illuminati was a Jesuit himself)

After preparing themselves in this way, to speak with the demons or with Satan, the Witch will stand inside of a "Magic Circle" which they call "The Field of Force" (this has to do with the pantheistic idea that God is a force of nature). Supposedly, the Witch is able to draw down the powers or forces of nature and contain them within this field of force or Magic Circle, with which to perform their magic spells.

After the Witch has done all of his fasting and meditating, for the purpose of purifying himself, he is then ready to call down the "Spirits" who will grant his wishes. Once within this Magic Circle, the Witch says the following words:

"GREAT MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE.... swiftly execute my wishes... I summon you by the great names full of power, OF THE ILLUMINATI OF THE FIRMAMENT... appear to me as I avoke the sacred influence of all the principalities and powers... Do you come in peace through THE POWER OF THE EXALTED ILLUMINATI? Will you serve me and reveal all things unto me of land and sea, of knowledge and wisdom, of good and bad, of natural law and of sorcery?" -Witchcraft and the Mysteries, pages 83-85.

Okay, I would say that we are on to something, don't you agree? Remember all of the things we have talked about, in regards to the "Great Masters of the firmament?" Recall that I have told you in previous articles that in the New Age Movement, those who supposedly have died and gone up to live in the sky or the "firmament" are called "The Great Masters!" These are demonic entities! (note that the term "natural law" was mentioned also, which we will discuss in a later article).

Now, I want you to keep these things lodged in your mind, because when we look at some of the things that the Founder of the Jesuits, Ignatius Loyola practiced- it will make you see the Jesuit Order in a whole new light! You will see them for what they truly are, and that is- a Roman Catholic New Age Army of Witches, used to infiltrate Society!

It is obvious then that the "Illuminati" that these witches communicate with is none other than Satan himself and his demons! In France, under the name Illumines, a Witchcraft School appeared in Picary in 1623, but only continued a short time because of the repressive measures taken by the Papacy. However, another sect of Illumines appeared in the South of France in about 1722 AD, and continued until 1794. They traced their origin to the Gnostics (see Encyclopedia Britannica, Vol. 14, 1910, pg. 320). Another such school of Witchcraft was found in Spain around the year 1520 AD, and was called "Los Alumbrados". Ignatius Loyola, Founder of the Jesuits was connected with this group. He himself almost became a victim of the Spanish Inquisition when the Roman Catholic Church got wind of his connection with the Los Alumbrados (the Illuminati). But he was aquitted before the Inquisition Court with only an admonition.

It appears ln the surface that the Roman Catholic Church was against Ignatius belonging to this Witchcraft group, but obviously they did not punish him in any way for it. There are some who hold that the Illuminati group is a "front" for the Roman Catholic Church to unite the whole world under her banner again. After all, it was Ignatius Loyola himself who actually founded this Illuminati group! (also see Chick Publications, 1982, The Godfathers, pg. 1-11)

So it comes down to this- Ignatius Loyola was the Founder of the Jesuit Order, the "Spiritual Army" of the Roman Catholic Church, and he was also the Founder of the Witchcraft group, The Illuminati! It is very clear that the Jesuit Army was merely a Witchcraft group that was used to spread Roman Catholic doctrine throughout the whole world! That is what the Jesuits are for... they are used to undo all that Protestantism has done, and to gain back lands and people that the Church has lost to Protestantism.
