Arms folded and constantly cleaning-up all the questions asked by moderator, Tim Russert.
To see the top intelligence officer denying the allegations that he knew about the authenticity of the WMD story, justifying the Invasion of Iraq, which wasn't a slam-drunk; But, a double-dribble foul. All this seems objectionable and unprecedented. The harder he tries to reinterpret history, the deeper whole he gets himself in.
Do government employees or military personnel having acquired Top-Secret Clearances, and Information, have the freedom to write books to clean-up their past performance, without compromising the Government?
George Tenet really has some gall to try to promote his book of lies for filthy lucre, and make it look as if "he" were a Washington mover and shaker revealing some new tid-bit of truth. That he would appear on a Sun-day morning news programs to wash and rinse his "achievements", are deplorable. Worse yet, are Tim Russert, the NBC producers, et al, that would collude to schedule such a sham of a program. "All the news that's fit to print?"

George Tenet when asked if he would return his "Medal of Freedom"? Fired back, "of course not, I earned it".
"At the Center of The Storm", should be subtitled, "The Fall Guy Who Wrote a Book and Passed-the Buck".
