The King James Bible is Not Copyrighted

This is a short explanation that the King James Bible is Public Domain and not copyrighted by anyone. If the inside pages of your King James Bible says it's copyrighted it is referring to the notes, maps, charts, commentary, concordances, or any other material between the covers. The actual text of the King James Bible from Genesis 1:1 thru Revelation 22:21 is Public Domain. You or anyone could print thousands and thousands of King James Version Bibles to give away and not be in violation of copyright laws. You wouldn't have to ask permission, nor pay any commissions.

The publishers of the new bibles are not stupid. They know that many people will only buy a King James Bible so, they provide one for them. The KJV is often less expensive than the other versions because the publisher does not have to pay any commissions or royalties to do so. They only have to pay for the ink, paper, cost of printing, etc, everything else is pure profit for them.

The King James Bible is the Word of God. No man hold any exclusive rights to it. It's certainly not owned by a man like the wicked, profane, pornographer & owner of the NIV; nor the corrupt, liberal and wicked organization that owns 90 plus percent rights to the ESV.
