Today’s world has become more fragile and volatile. Europe is surrounded by a series of violent conflicts and our neighbourhood is marked by political instability. One of the most urgent tasks which the European Union has to address nowadays is the elaboration of the Global Strategy on Foreign and Security Policy. Which role does the EU play on the global scene? How can its foundational commitment to peace be revived today?
Ahead of the upcoming European Council, COMECE will present its report on “Europe’s vocation to promote peace in the world” which the Bishops adopted at their last Plenary Assembly as their contribution to the preparation of the EU Global Strategy.
