"Operation Metro Surge" and its possible prophetic ramifications

Operation Metro Surge is a large-scale immigration enforcement operation (to remove individuals with criminal histories) launched by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in December 2025, primarily targeting the Minneapolis–Saint Paul area in Minnesota.  As of the day of this post (February 5, 2026), the White House reported over 4,000 arrests since the operation began.

ICE's "Operation Metro Surge," in Minnesota has set off a series of protests that have caused the loss of the lives of two Minneapolis citizens, and from that point the protests have escalated to a point of mass violent confrontations between protestors and DHS (ICE & Border Patrol) agents, and have since spread to other cities where DHS conducts similar operations.

 

These operations are occurring amidst intense pushback from local "sanctuary" officials and protests.

The protests in Los Angeles, California have revived since the 'No Kings Day' demonstrations last Summer. However, civil resistance to the ongoing immigration enforcement has recently increased with several confrontations with DHS and Los Angeles Police after severals acts of vandalism occured and many arrests were made. 

At the present time there is an increased amount of identity theft and cyber crime, despite the fact that innumerable millions of unvetted people were allowed to enter our country from all parts of the world;  simultaneously there is also a preocupation with a person's true identity to prevent fraud. As a matter of fact, Minnesota became a focal point of attention when widspread fraud was discovered in Minnesota’s Social Services System on Governor (Kamala Harris' VP candidate 2024) Tim Walz’s watch. While virtual unknowns from all around the planet roam the streets freely, law abiding citizens have to prove they are who they claim to be to buy cough syrup, to cash a check, or to fly. By the way, as of Feb 1, 2026, air travelers without a valid ID may have to pay a $45 fee (TSA ConfirmID) to verify their identity at the checkpoint.

Ironically, though a valid I.D. is required to apply for a library card, rent a car, or to open a bank account, at present the Democratic Congress & Senate politicians believe that no identification should be required to vote in ELECTIONS. This sure sounds like the progressives want to lower the bar to allow the newly arrived non-citizens to vote for their candidates and ensure they perpetually control government and the purse strings. However, this is not my goal in pointing out all the double standards, deception, and manufactured chaos. Rather, I can see that while the need to know who a person is to allow them to participate in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, or free enterprise, a time is quickly approaching when some folks will be marginalized by authoritarian regulations that will exclude them from buying and selling. In June of 2016, Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, stated that people who were on the NO FLY LIST (a tool adopted after the September 11, 2001 Attacks, to prevent terrorists from flying in Commercial Airliners), should also NOT be allowed to BUY, as he demonstrates in the picture above.⏫️

In conclusion, the uncertain times we live in and the precarious current events we see before our eyes signal the soon fulfillmemt of Revelation 13:17, "And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
