BUSH AND CONGRESS HONOR DALAI LAMA

President Bush and leaders of Congress honored the Dalai Lama with the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest honor this nation can present to a civilian.

In doing so, Bush and Congress alienated the Chinese -- and for what reason?

NEWS BRIEF: "Bush and Congress Honor Dalai Lama", The New York Times, October 18, 2007

"WASHINGTON, Oct. 17 — Over furious objections from China and in the presence of President Bush, Congress on Wednesday bestowed its highest civilian honor on the Dalai Lama, the exiled spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhists whom Beijing considers a troublesome voice of separatism. Dressed in flowing robes of dark burgundy and bright orange, Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama, beamed and bowed as the president and members of Congress greeted him with a standing ovation and then praised him as a hero of the Tibetan struggle. President Bush called him 'a man of faith and sincerity and peace'.”

Once again, President Bush honored a leader of a religion which the Bible brands as false. Jesus boldly stated that "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

Since Tibetan Buddhism rejects Jesus' claims to be the Son of God and the Savior of the world, it must be considered a false religion. Yet, here we see President Bush honoring the Dalai Lama as "a man of faith"!

It is incomprehensible to for a President claiming to be a genuine Christian to once again honor a leader of a false religion, unless you understand President Bush is really a Universalist! We have reported on this sad reality last week, but let us quote Bush's revealing remarks once again.

NEWS BRIEF: "The Church In Apostasy", by Chuck Baldwin, October 16, 2007

"When a professing Christian President can openly acknowledge his belief in universalism and attack the supreme doctrine of Christianity, that Jesus Christ is the Creator-God become flesh, and there is not an uproar of protestation and denunciation from pulpits all over the country, the Church is in a state of apostasy. And that is exactly what has taken place.

"When interviewed by ABC's Charles Gibson, President George W. Bush revealed his lack of even basic understanding of Christian doctrine. Here is a verbatim transcript from that interview:

Q. "Do we all worship the same God, Christian and Muslim?"
A. "I think we do. We have different routes of getting to the Almighty."

Q. "Do Christians and non-Christians and Muslims go to heaven in your mind?"
A. "Yes they do. We have different routes of getting there."

Then, just a few days ago, President Bush, in an interview with Al Arabiya television, said, 'I believe in an almighty God, and I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God'. In the same interview he said, 'I believe there is a universal God. I believe the God that the Muslim prays to is the same God that I pray to. After all, we all came from Abraham. I believe in that universality'."

Obviously, George W. Bush is a universalist. His confession is not that of a Christian, but that of a universalist."

This was the umpteenth time President Bush enunciated his Universalist beliefs -- Read "President Bush's Evil vs Good Fruits" table to see the other times where he either expressed these universalist beliefs, or honored the Koran or honored another religion. You will weep with dismay.

Now, let us get back to the Dalai Lama.

"Earlier, Beijing offered a sharp new rebuke of the award ceremony, which the top Chinese religious affairs official condemned as a 'farce'. 'The protagonist of this farce is the Dalai Lama', said Ye Xiaowen, director general of the State Administration for Religious Affairs, Reuters reported. Other officials have warned, without specifying, of a 'serious impact' on relations between the United States and China."

"Mr. Bush, during a news conference, appeared unconcerned. 'I don’t think it ever damages relations', he said, 'when an American president talks about, you know — religious tolerance and religious freedom is good for a nation'.”

It really makes little sense to intentionally anger a nation as powerful as China. America is so intertwined with China economically that we need to avoid instances like this when Chinese leaders are intentionally angered, over a very small matter.

To understand the true significance of this ceremony honoring the Dalai Lama with the Congressional Gold Medal, you have to look at the advanced spiritual state of the world moving to the global Ecumenical Religion which shall precede the coming of Antichrist and his false prophet.

Buddhist beliefs greatly permeate New Age beliefs and the beliefs which the coming Antichrist shall possess. Therefore, even as the Roman Catholic Church is striving to unite all Eastern religions under its mantle, perhaps it is time to embrace this Buddhist leader -- and all to further the prophesied global religion.
