Catholic Prayer for America Gala & Trump at Mar-a-lago (CATHOLIC PRAYER FOR AMERICA 2025 )
Catholic Prayer for America Gala & Trump at Mar-a-lago (CATHOLIC PRAYER FOR AMERICA 2025 )

100 Catholic Priests will Gather to ‘Change Our Nation’ at the ‘Catholic Prayer for America’ Event at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Headquarters

A religion of externals is attractive to the unrenewed heart. The pomp and ceremony of the Catholic worship has a seductive, bewitching power, by which many are deceived; and they come to look upon the Roman Church as the very gate of heaven. None but those who have planted their feet firmly upon the foundation of truth, and whose hearts are renewed by the Spirit of God, are proof against her influence. Thousands who have not an experimental knowledge of Christ will be led to accept the forms of godliness without the power. Such a religion is just what the multitudes desire. GC 567.2

Mar-a-Lago, Florida, also known as the Southern White House, holds significant political influence as the personal residence and private club of President Donald Trump, serving as a hub for political power and global influence. Trump uses Mar-a-Lago as his de facto headquarters, hosting key political figures, foreign dignitaries, and influential donors. Mar-a-Lago’s importance extends beyond U.S. politics, as it frequently attracts world leaders, business elites, and global power brokers. Mar-a-Lago also serves as a symbolic stronghold of Trump’s political brand, reinforcing its role as a crucial epicenter for geo-religio-political landscapes.

It comes as no surprise that, given the increasingly close relationship between the Roman Catholic Church and the Trump administration, Mar-a-Lago is the venue chosen to host the “Catholic Prayer for America 2025 Gala at Mar-a-Lago” on March 19, 2025, at Donald Trump’s private estate. Catholics for Catholics, an organization dedicated to promoting Catholic doctrine, public policy, and legislation, is sponsoring this event and published the following:

• “We are excited to announce our 2nd annual “Catholic Prayer for America” Gala on March 19, 2025, Feast of St. Joseph. The event will take place at the home of President Donald J. Trump at Mar-a-Lago in Florida.”
• “Prayer is at the heart of what makes America great … While Catholics for Catholics is a movement of passionate activists, we know that without prayer our work is in vain.”
•“Sponsoring 100 Catholic priests to join Catholic Prayer for America Gala at Mar-a-Lago!”
• “We’re inspiring a new wave of Catholicism and love of country. We are restoring what it means to say “I’m Catholic” in the public square. We are changing the nation and shaping a more holy and moral future for America!”
• “Support our mission to reclaim our country’s Christian roots and its guiding documents: The Bible and Constitution.”

In President Donald Trump’s second administration, there has been a noticeable bridging between politics and religion and Protestants and Catholics. This alliance is particularly evident in the appointments in his administration. Donald Trump not only secured the majority of Catholic votes during the 2024 presidential election, but he has also reciprocated their support by appointing numerous devout Roman Catholics in his administration.

THY WAY, O GOD, IS IN THE SANCTUARY: WHO IS SO GREAT A GOD AS OUR GOD? PSALM 77:13.

But the people were slow to learn the lesson. Accustomed as they had been in Egypt to material representations of the Deity, and these of the most degrading nature, it was difficult for them to conceive of the existence or the character of the Unseen One. In pity for their weakness, God gave them a symbol of His presence. “Let them make Me a sanctuary,” He said; “that I may dwell among them.” Exodus 25:8. {Ed 35.1}

In the building of the sanctuary as a dwelling place for God, Moses was directed to make all things according to the pattern of things in the heavens. God called him into the mount, and revealed to him the heavenly things, and in their similitude the tabernacle, with all that pertained to it, was fashioned. CULTURAL MARXISM - The Corruption of America

Aug 30, 2011a James Jaeger Film

A love affair with collectivist ideologies has led to ever bigger government and the welfare-warfare state. Lead by a Marxist splinter group called the "Frankfurt School" -- "the long march through the institutions" has infiltrated every corner of Western culture to corrupt traditional Christian values with "political correctness," another name for "cultural Marxism."

The ultimate goal of cultural Marxism is to first destroy American free-enterprise capitalism by undermining its economic engine, the Middle Class and this will lead -- they hope -- to the destruction of the basic building block of society: the Family Unit.

Vance on Pope’s immigration policy criticism: Catholics ‘too preoccupied’ with clergy’s politics

Story by Alex Gangitano

Vance on Pope’s immigration policy criticism: Catholics ‘too preoccupied’ with clergy’s politics

Vice President Vance on Friday said that American Catholics focus too much on criticism coming from clergy members, in response to Pope Francis’ public disapproval of the Trump administration’s immigration policies.

“As you’ve probably seen publicly, the holy father, Pope Francis, has criticized some of our policies when it comes to immigration,” Vance said, in remarks at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast. “I think that sometimes a lot of conservative Catholics are too preoccupied with their political criticisms of a particular clergy member or the leader of the Catholic church.”

“I think that, what I would say, is that it’s not in the best interest of any of us, again, to treat the religious leaders of our faith as just another social media influencer,” he added,

“That goes in both ways, if I can be so bold, I think it’s incumbent upon our religious leaders to recognize that in the era of social media, people will hang on every single word that they utter, even if that wasn’t their intention.”

The pope, who is recovering from pneumonia, has taken issue with Republicans’ handling of immigration, voicing the church’s view that migrants should be welcomed and treated with dignity. He wrote a letter in February criticizing Trump’s mass deportation plans, arguing they leave people vulnerable and defenseless, calling instead for laws to help the most marginalized.

The pope’s letter at the time appeared to push back on Vance’s recent comments that Americans should care about their family, community and country before others, with the Vatican arguing that “Christian love” extends to all humans.

Vance said he was surprised by the pope’s reaction, but also that he has been praying for his health. He is the second Catholic vice president, following former Vice President Joe Biden, who later became the second Catholic president.

“Every day since I heard of Pope Francis’ illness, I say a prayer for the holy father because well yes, I was certainly surprised when he criticized our immigration policy in that way that he has. I also know that the pope, I believe that the pope, is fundamentally a person who cares about the flock of Christians under his leadership,” the vice president said.

He also noted that U.S. Catholic Bishops have also disagreed with some of the administration’s policies.

“While yes, some of our media and some of our social media influencers, and even some of us fellow Catholics, I think try to bring the holy father into every culture war battle in American politics,” Vance said.

He closed his speech at the breakfast by reading excerpts from a March 2020 homily the pope gave in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Others in the Trump administration have pushed back on the pope’s criticism of the border policies, including Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, who is also Catholic. He said that the pope should focus on fixing the Catholic Church and leave border enforcement policies to the administration.

Mystery Congo Disease Leaves 50 People Dead: What We Know

Published Feb 26, 2025 at 9:24 AM EST
Updated Feb 26, 2025 at 9:37 PM EST

By Jordan King
US News Reporter

At least 50 people have died from a mystery illness discovered in three children who ate a dead bat, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Newsweek has contacted the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), via email, for comment.
Why It Matters

Multiple deaths have taken place during this outbreak "which has seen cases rise rapidly within days, and poses a significant public health threat," WHO said.
What To Know

Some 53 people have died and 419 cases have been reported in eastern areas since the outbreak began on January 21, local health officials said in an update.

It started in the village of Boloko, where the first three victims died within 48 hours of eating a bat, according to the Africa office of the WHO.

This outbreak spread to nearby Danda Village, before a second, larger outbreak took place in Bomate Village, where more than 400 people were infected.

Symptoms include fever, vomiting, diarrhea, nose bleeds and fatigue. There was generally a 48-hour interval between the onset of symptoms and death.

The number of outbreaks caused by diseases jumping from animals to humans, usually occurring in places where wild animals are eaten, has surged by more than 60 percent in the last decade, the WHO said in 2022.

What People Are Saying

WHO said: "Urgent action is needed to accelerate laboratory investigations, improve case management and isolation capacities, and strengthen surveillance and risk communication. The remote location and weak health care infrastructure increase the risk of further spread, requiring immediate high-level intervention to contain the outbreak."

WHO spokesperson Tarik Jašarević told a briefing on Tuesday: "The exact cause remains unknown." He also said: "We are looking into whether it is another infection or whether it is some toxic agent. We have to see what can be done and at what point WHO can support."
What Happens Next

Health officials are still investigating other potential causes for the mass illness, such as Ebola, Marburg, malaria, food poisoning, typhoid or meningitis.

Ebola and Marburg have already been "ruled out," WHO said, after multiple samples were sent to the National Institute for Biomedical Research in Congo's capital, Kinshasa—although some tested positive for malaria.

The "key challenges include the rapid progression of the disease, with nearly half the deaths occurring within 48 hours of symptom onset in one of the affected health zones, and an exceptionally high case fatality rate in another," WHO said.

Meg Tilly in “Agnes of God” (IMDB)

At this year’s Academy Awards, Edward Berger’s twisty Vatican drama “Conclave” has eight nominations including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Supporting Actor for Barry Fitzgerald, who played Father Fitzgibbon. (He was also nominated for Best Actor; the only time an actor has been nominated twice for playing the same character in the same film.)

That same year, Ingrid Bergman was nominated for playing Sister Mary Benedict in “The Bells of St. Mary’s” and Gregory Peck for playing a priest in “The Keys of the Kingdom” (1944). A few years later, Bergman would marry Italian director Roberto Rossellini (following a brief and scandalous affair), and they had three children—including Isabella Rossellini.

In these films and others of the time, priests were portrayed as “virile, athletic, compassionate, wise,” according to Charles R. Morris in American Catholic. The fact that they were celibate didn’t prevent them from being inspirational figures, played by some of the most famous (and desirable) men in Hollywood. The films portrayed religious life as one of immense sacrifice and meaning. “These are talented, attractive people who have made big sacrifices for the love of God,” Morris writes, “and they are better than the rest of us for it.”

This mid-century popularity of Catholic films in Hollywood occurred thanks to several factors, including the still-exotic nature of Catholicism to majority-non-Catholic audiences and the dynamically cinematic elements of Catholic religious practice. It is also meaningful that this period coincided with the heyday of the Production Code, a censorship document that determined what got made in Hollywood. In American Catholic, Morris (in line with other scholars) suggests that the deluge of positive Catholic films may have been an attempt by the studios to stay in the good graces of the Production Code Administration’s vigilant and pugnacious director: devout Catholic Joseph Ignatius Breen.

The Knights of Columbus recently donated a state-of-the-art mobile broadcasting unit to the Vatican’s Dicastery for Communication, unveiling the vehicle in Rome just days before Pope Francis inaugurated the Jubilee Year 2025.

The new broadcasting van was blessed by Cardinal Marcello Semeraro during a Dec. 21 ceremony attended by Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly, staff of the Dicastery for Communication, including Paolo Ruffini, prefect, and others.

In an interview with Vatican News that day, the supreme knight said the new mobile broadcasting unit will not only help bring the voice of Pope Francis to a wider audience but will “deliver the message of Jesus Christ from the Vatican to Catholics and all people of goodwill around the world.”

Quotes for the Times:

“There is something that binds the leaders of the European Union together it creates unbreakable ties.” Herman van Rompuy President of the European Council, Interreligious Dialogue, Florence, Sept. 2012.

“A US betrayal is surreal for Europeans.” Farah Stockman, New York Times, Feb. 19, 2025.

The leaders of Europe recently suffered a collective double whammy to their dreams of turning Europe into Europestan, by two emissaries from the new sheriff in Washington DC. The first speech, by Pete Hegseth, caused them to lose their minds. The second speech by J D Vance, caused them to break down in tears.

The first whammy took place in Brussels, Feb. 12, at the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting. Pete Hegseth told the assembled defenders of Ukrainian ‘democracy’ that - the Ukraine war must stop – Ukraine will not return to its pre-war boundaries – Ukraine will not join NATO – tell your citizens the truth – and the defense of Europe was no longer the priority of the US.

Who is the next pope after Pope Francis? What we know about who’s in line

USA TODAY NETWORK

Pope Francis is still in the hospital fighting off an infection and 'complex clinical' condition as many are left wondering who might be next in line for the pontiff seat.

The 88-year-old Argentinean pontiff has been suffering from a respiratory infection after a weeklong bout of bronchitis worsened; he was admitted to Rome's Gemelli hospital on Friday, according to news reports. He is the 266th pontiff of the Catholic Church and sovereign of Vatican City since 2013.

Pope Francis is reported to be in "stable" clinical condition as he continues receiving treatment for bronchitis. In his youth, he endured severe pneumonia and had part of one lung removed. He uses a wheelchair, walker or cane to aid in walking because of reportedly bad knees and sciatica nerve pain and, more recently, he's suffered two falls.

Concerns over Pope Francis' health have mounted in recent years as have questions about his succession.

Here's what we know about who the next pope might be after Pope Francis.
Who is Pope Francis?

Pope Francis is the head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State since March 13, 2013. He is the first pope from the Society of Jesus, the first from Argentina and the Americas.

Catholic bishops sue Trump administration for lost income after refugee aid stopped

By Elaine Mallon

February 19, 2025 11:32 am

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration on Tuesday evening for withholding millions of dollars of funding approved by Congress that assist in USCCB’s mission of providing relief and relocation to asylum refugees.

For fiscal 2025, the federal government has allocated $65 million to the USCCB “for the immediate physical needs and integration of refugees into their new communities,” but on Jan. 24 the Trump administration halted its payments to the USCCB. The conference now faces $13 million of unpaid reimbursements and owes $11.6 million to its “subrecipients that it is unable to reimburse.”

There are currently more than 6,700 asylum-seekers in their 90-day transitional period delegated to USCCB’s care.

“After refugees have already arrived and been placed in USCCB’s care, the government is attempting to pull the rug out from under USCCB’s programs by halting funding,” the lawsuit stated, according to a copy obtained by the Washington Post.

The Kash Patel Confirmantion Dilemma

February 19, 2025

In November 2024, Kashyap Pramod Vinod Patel, popularly known as Kash Patel was nominated by President Donald Trump to be the new Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). On January 30, 2025 confirmation hearings began on Capitol Hill, in Washington, D.C. However, the hearings have been prolonged due to opposition from Democrats of the Senate Judiciary Committee which is chaired by Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois.

Kash Patel has been accused by several Democrat Senators of believing in Conspiracy Theories and being a President Trump lackey that would act as his  henchman at the head of the highest Law Enforcement body in the country.  The Senate Judiciary Committee Democrat Senators have transformed these hearings into an ongoing struggle to deny Patel's confirmation; these hearings have turned into what looks like an ongoing series of soap opera episodes.

Besides all the objection and resistance, if confirmed Kash Patel will be the first East-Indian-American, Hindu, Director of the FBI.

Disruption

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.”

Psalm 46:10-11

As the United States prepared to ring in a new year on December 31, 2024, something remarkable happened. Four of the most iconic structures in the country were all struck by lightning on the same day. In New York City, New York, the Empire State Building and the One World Trade Center received lightning strikes. About 230 miles away, a storm was brewing in our nation’s seat of government, too, as lightning struck the Capitol Building and the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C. (1) Although it is not unusual for tall structures to be struck by lightning, it is quite extraordinary that these strikes all took place on New Year’s Eve as our country was preparing to enter what is likely to be a profoundly consequential year. Was it just a coincidence, or is it a sign that change is in the air? Mike Lee, a Republican Senator from the state of Utah, posted a video of the Capitol Building strike on X and wondered if there was a deeper meaning to be gleaned from this amazing sight. “Feels like an omen. What’s it telling us?” he wrote alongside the video. (2)

There’s just something special about lightning. It is a visible demonstration of God’s majesty, power, and sovereignty. Psalm 135:6-7 declares, “Whatsoever the Lord pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places. He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.” No human being can say for certain when and where lightning will strike, but God knows. Thus, lightning is a reminder that God is in control and His will will be accomplished. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ also associated lightning with His sudden and unexpected return when he told his disciples in Matthew 24:27, “For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Just as no one knows when lightning will strike, no one knows the day or the hour of our Lord’s return. We do know, however, that each moment that passes draws us closer to that fateful day. In any case, the lightning strikes in New York City and Washington, D.C., serve as a salient metaphor for the many surprises and disruptions that are coming in the days ahead.

Hierarchical Considerations for the 2025 Conclave

For the 2025 Conclave, the Hierarchy will be in deep deliberation and planning for the next stages of evolutionary changes for Humanity. It is viewed as a pivotal moment that could significantly shape the spiritual trajectory of humanity and the planet in the coming decades. The Conclave is expected to have profound spiritual effects on human consciousness and a provide new spiritual techniques and methods that could strengthen the “Christ principle” in humanity, and the establishment of the mystery schools on the physical plane.

But is Humanity ready for these new evolutionary changes?

The period leading up to 2025 is seen as preparatory, testing humanity’s receptivity. Hierarchy has been closely observing and considering how, with the increased spiritual stimulation, what has been humanity’s readiness and response to the various impacts and impressions. At the coming Conclave, Hierarchy will be considering and assessing:

  • Overall evolutionary progress across the human, animal, vegetable, and mineral kingdoms.
  • Evaluate crisis points and blockages around environmental issues and international conflicts. For this, Hierarchy would determine the flow of spiritual energy and formulate plans for the coming century based on this assessment. For this, there is an emphasis on the role of the service workers to act as a bridge for grounding new stimulations of educational and spiritual related initiatives.
  • Determine Humanity’s readiness for the Christ’s return and how His energies and presence can be most effectively manifested.
  • Setting a date for the initial phases of the Hierarchy’s externalization and specifying a potential timeframe for the Christ’s reappearance. How humanity handles increased spiritual stimulation will influence the timing of further externalization.

Powerful energies from the Conclave are expected to stimulate new patterns of thinking and cause individuals within society to act with more inclusivity, such as related to global issues and fostering interconnectedness between groups.

Who could be the next pope? How U.S. cardinals, including Boston's Cardinal O'Malley, rank

USA TODAY NETWORK - New England

Published 2:55 p.m. ET Feb. 17, 2025

Key Points
  • Pope Francis is hospitalized as he recovers from a sinus infection.
  • If the pope were to resign over health concerns, a new pope would be selected through a process called the conclave, which consists of a vote by members of the College of Cardinals.
  • Two U.S. archbishops are considered papabile, or frontrunners for pope. One of them is Boston's former archbishop Cardinal Sean Patrick O'Malley.

As Pope Francis continues to recover from a respiratory infection, some have questioned whether he would consider stepping down from his role due to health concerns like his predecessor, Pope Benedict XVI.

If the pope were to resign, a new pope would be selected through a process called the conclave, which consists of a vote by members of the College of Cardinals.

Pope Francis, sensing he is close to death, moves to protect his legacy

The battle to succeed Pope Francis is likely to be highly politicized, particularly given the pontiff’s recent clash with Catholic U.S. Vice President JD Vance.

ROME — Pope Francis is seriously worried about his health after being hospitalized with severe bronchitis, and is rushing to tie up loose ends ahead of the battle to succeed him.

The pope was admitted to a special ward earlier this month in Gemelli Hospital in Rome with a respiratory infection, and he has since been forced to cancel a number of public appearances.

It’s the latest health crisis for the 88-year-old pontiff, who had part of a lung removed as a young man and has become increasingly fragile in recent years. The Holy See press office has trickled out continuous updates, and on Monday said the pope’s bronchitis had advanced to a “polymicrobial infection” with a “complex clinical picture.”

According to two people familiar with the matter, Francis has been suffering from intense pain and has privately expressed certainty he won’t make it this time. On Sunday, doctors at Gemelli distressed the pope by barring him from delivering his regular morning Angelus sermon, which he has rarely missed, even when hospitalized, said one of the people and a third person. He is now acting entirely on “doctors’ orders,” said one of them.

Alice Bailey and Her 10-Point Plan to Destroy the Church

July 8, 2024|Defending the Faith

Who Was Alice Bailey?

Alice Bailey (1880-1949) was a British writer and theosophist known for her influential works on occultism and spirituality. She founded the Arcane School, which promotes esoteric philosophy. Bailey's teachings, often considered controversial, have had a lasting impact on New Age thought.

The 10-Point Plan to Destroy the Church

Bailey outlines a 10-point plan to undermine traditional Christian values and transform society. This plan, often discussed in Christian circles, includes the following points:

1. Take God and prayer out of the education system.

2. Reduce parental authority over the children.

3. Destroy the Judeo-Christian family structure.

4. If sex is free, then make abortion legal and accessible.

5. Make divorce easy and legal. Free people from the concept of marriage for life.

6. Make homosexuality an alternative lifestyle.

7. Debase art; make it run mad.

8. Use media to promote and change mindsets.

9. Create an interfaith movement.

10. Get governments to make all these laws and get the church to endorse these changes.

What is the "Great General Assembly of the Hierarchy" and its Significance in 2025?

Sixbert SANGWA October 28, 2024

In the realm of esoteric teachings and New Age philosophy, the "Great General Assembly of the Hierarchy" described by Alice Bailey has been a subject of intrigue and controversy. As Christians, it is crucial to approach such topics with discernment, as the Apostle Paul advises: "Test all things. Hold on to what is good." (1 Thessalonians 5:21). This article explores this concept, its background, and its alleged significance, particularly concerning the year 2025, while maintaining a biblical perspective.

Alice Bailey, a prominent figure in the Theosophical and New Age movements, wrote extensively about what she termed the "Spiritual Hierarchy" or the "Great White Brotherhood" (Bailey, 1925). According to her teachings, this hierarchy consists of "ascended masters" and "spiritual entities" guiding humanity's evolution. Bailey claimed these beings hold a significant meeting every 100 years with their human agents, with the next major and final general assembly scheduled for 2025 (Bailey, 1957).

The concept of spiritual hierarchies influencing world events isn't unique to Bailey's writings or alien to Scripture. In fact, the Bible provides insights into spiritual entities influencing earthly affairs. The book of Daniel, for instance, speaks of spiritual princes associated with certain empires. In Daniel 10:13, we read about the "prince of the kingdom of Persia" opposing an angelic messenger, suggesting spiritual forces behind earthly powers. Furthermore, the symbolism in Revelation of the beast with seven heads (often interpreted as Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, and UN) implies a long history of spiritual influence over human leadership. This aligns with Daniel's prophecy in Daniel 2:43, which states, "And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay." This has often been interpreted as referring to the mingling of demonic (iron) and human (clay) elements.

If Wisdom Isolates You Are You Willing To Walk Alone?

Feb 10, 2025

"When wisdom enters your heart,
and knowledge is pleasant to your soul,
discretion will preserve you, understanding will keep you,
to deliver you from the way of evil,
from the man who speaks perverse things,
from those who leave the paths of uprightness
to walk in the ways of darkness, who rejoice in doing evil,
and delight in the perversity of the wicked;"
Proverbs 2:10-14

"When wisdom ENTERS your heart…"

We are not born with wisdom. And in the perverse world we live in, one will not obtain wisdom from it because the world IS perverse. Your counselors will tell you things you want to hear and they will sound right, but are not. Your professors will speak with an air of authority, but their authority comes from the world which opposes the wisdom of God.

"For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God."
1st Corinthians 3:19

Wisdom can only enter your heart if you SEEK it from its author, the creator of the universe who alone defines it.

It's not innate, it has to be sought. It has to be asked for.

"Yes, if you CRY OUT for discernment,
and LIFT UP YOUR VOICE for understanding,
if you SEEK her as silver,
and search for her as for hidden treasures,
then you will understand the fear of the Lord,
and find the knowledge of God."
Proverbs 2:3-5:

The Scriptures tell us that wisdom is directly related to "the fear of the Lord," not a popular virtue these days and certainly not politically correct. As the days advance and the time of the end draws near, the masses will abide in the philosophies of the world which are contrary to the wisdom of God. It won't be easy to remain in the "fear of the Lord," because “the wisdom of the world” will constantly push back against us, trying in every which way to overcome us. Cry out therefore for discernment, lift up your voice in prayers for true understanding, because the voices of the world will surround you calling to you loudly, attempting to draw you in. It will cause divisions in families and it will destroy friendships. You will have to let them go their way, being willing to walk alone if need be, and for many that will be the case.

vs 6-7:
"For THE LORD gives wisdom,
FROM HIS MOUTH come knowledge and understanding.
He stores up sound wisdom for the upright,
he is a shield to those who walk uprightly."

SEEK knowledge and understanding from the Lord. They alone can keep you when all around you people are falling away.

Andrews University Is Joining The United Nations Climate Change Program

February 14, 2025 NewsHound

John Wesley Taylor brought to Andrews University some hope of reformation and ideological rebuilding of the drifting University.

According to this article in the Lake Union Herald, Taylor also brings with him an environmentalist worldview that buys into the United Nations climate change agenda.

Observations

Three decades ago, leftwing environmentalism was rebranded as “creation care” by an organization called the Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN). This group receives a lot of funding from a Soros-funded think tank, New America, as well as the Clinton Global Initiative. The EEN also pushed for cap-and-trade legislation to curb carbon emissions.

Around the same time, ADCOM came out with four statements on environmentalism, two of which sound like they were written by AlGore himself and one that sounds eerily like things the Pope wrote in several of his green initiatives.

In her excellent book Shepherds For Sale, Megan Basham discusses how Christian leaders have been pressured to acknowledge climate change as an effect of systemic racism and to repent for it. Basham's book documents how progressive powerbrokers have tried to co-opt naive Christians for political gain.

In Shepherds for Sale, Basham reveals how Christian leaders have been pressured to: Whisper about sexual sins, Question the importance of abortion, Lament the effects of climate change, and Repent of “perpetuating systemic racism.

When the church trusts the world's wisdom instead of Scripture, it can lead to serious trouble.

Shepherds for Sale was an instant New York Times bestseller, and has grave implications for Adventists who are eager to climb on the climate change/global warming bandwagon.

Christian colleges (like Andrews) must remember that their existence makes sense only as a protest and an alternative to the dominant left-wing culture of academia.

Universities like Andrews join Climate Change initiatives under a guise of creation care, but it’s actually a sprint for a world government. If you can't see that you haven't been paying attention.

Giving recent revelations about entanglements with the United Nations becoming public, any effort of Andrews University to align themselves with the UN Climate Change agenda is a real bad look. That’s not reforming the University, it is taking it into dangerous waters.

If ADCOM wanted to actually do something useful they could issue a statement that Radical Environmentalism is an unbiblical veneration of creation over the Creator. I won’t hold my breath.

In fact, I’ll continue exhaling Co2.
Plants love it.

What is ‘ordo amoris?’ Vice President JD Vance invokes this medieval Catholic concept

Vice President JD Vance recently cited medieval Catholic theology in justifying the immigration crackdown under President Donald Trump.

“Just google ‘ordo amoris,’” he posted Jan. 30 on the social media platform X.

He posted this in reply to criticism over statements he made in a Fox News interview: “You love your family, and then you love your neighbor, and then you love your community, and then you love your fellow citizens in your own country. And then after that, you can focus and prioritize the rest of the world.” He claimed that the “far left” has inverted that.

Vance posted that the concept is “basic common sense” because one’s moral duties to one’s children outweigh those “to a stranger who lives thousands of miles away.”
What is ‘ordo amoris’?

It’s been translated as “order of love” or “order of charity.” It’s a concept discussed by St. Augustine, an ancient theologian, who said everyone and everything should be loved in its own proper way.

“Now he is a man of just and holy life who ... neither loves what he ought not to love, nor fails to love what he ought to love, nor loves that more which ought to be loved less, nor loves that equally which ought to be loved either less or more, nor loves that less or more which ought to be loved equally,” Augustine wrote.

HHS splurged more than $22B on grants for migrants — including cash for cars, home loans and startups

By
Josh Christenson

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) ramped up grants for migrants from 2020 to 2024 — which included cash assistance to buy cars, homes and even build credit for startup businesses, according to a shocking watchdog report that found taxpayers were left on the hook for $22.6 billion.

HHS’ Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) — which came under fire last year for having lost track of 32,000 migrant kids in the US — handed out the high sum to a host of nonprofits, effectively acting as a “giant magnet” for those crossing the US border and claiming asylum, auditors from the money monitor OpenTheBooks revealed exclusively to The Post.

Tasked with settling migrants, asylum seekers and other refugees in America, ORR drastically increased the number of noncitizens eligible to receive funding over the bulk of President Joe Biden’s term, with more than $10 billion shelled out to grant-receiving organizations just in fiscal year 2023.

The OpenTheBooks audit comes after FEMA came under fire for sending around $80 million, which was subsequently clawed back by the Trump administration, to put migrants up in New York City hotels and provide other services.
Luiz C. Ribeiro for New York Post

That coincided with all-time records being set for southern border crossings into the US, with 2.4 million apprehensions by Customs and Border Protection over the same period.

Non-governmental groups bilked taxpayers for up to $1.7 billion in services including dollar-for-dollar matching savings plans for cars, homes, college educations or startups; small-business loans of up to $15,000; loans to repair credit history of up to $1,500; “cultural orientation,” “emergency housing support,” legal assistance and Medicaid care.

Trump border czar Tom Homan accuses Pope Francis of hypocrisy: 'He’s got a wall around the Vatican'

A Trump administration official is accusing Pope Francis of hypocrisy for speaking out against mass deportations of illegal immigrants in the United States while living at the Vatican, which is surrounded by a wall.

When speaking to reporters Tuesday, Border Czar Tom Homan reacted to Pope Francis’ letter criticizing the Trump administration’s policies. Identifying himself as a baptized and confirmed Catholic, Homan responded, “I’ve got harsh words for the pope.”

Calling on the pope to “fix the Catholic Church,” Homan suggested that Francis’ move to “attack us for securing our border” was hypocritical: “He’s got a wall around the Vatican, does he not? So, he’s got a wall around to protect his people and himself but we can’t have a wall around the United States?”

“I wish he’d stick to the Catholic Church and fix that and leave border enforcement to us,” Homan concluded. Homan’s comments come after Francis wrote a letter to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops Tuesday condemning the “major crisis that is taking place in the United States with the initiation of a program of mass deportations.”

Jesuit Refugee Service says Trump funding freeze will impact more than 100,000 refugees

More than 100,000 refugees across the globe who are recipients of critical aid from an international Jesuit nonprofit organization will be negatively impacted in the wake of the Trump administration’s 90-day funding freeze, according to Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) USA.

According to a Feb. 7 document shared with CNA, the funding freeze has “initiated a total work stoppage” for the organization, which provides assistance to refugees and other displaced people across nine countries.

Funding from the Department of State’s Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migrants for fiscal year 2025 would have totaled over $18 million, and the funding freeze “could adversely impact 103,000-plus refugees and other forcibly displaced people,” JRS said. In 2024, JRS received $24,049,039 in government funding and $9,224,422 in private donations, according to its financial statements from last year.

JRS was founded by the then-Superior General of the Society of Jesus Father Pedro Arrupe to serve Vietnamese refugees who fled their home country at the end of the Vietnam War in 1975. Gradually, the Jesuit-run organization grew to accommodate refugees from conflicts around the world. The organization was recognized officially by the Vatican in March 2000.

Since the Trump administration directive halted all foreign aid on Jan. 24 for a 90-day review, Catholic nonprofits internationally that depend on federal funding, such as Catholic Charities and Catholic Relief Services, are facing a crisis situation.

Despite Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s announcement that exemptions will be granted for certain “life-saving” programs, the document explained, “there is a lack of understanding and certainty about what this means, so funds are still not flowing.”

JRS USA carries out its operations in Chad, Colombia, Ethiopia, India, Iraq, South Africa, South Sudan, and Uganda. They provide critical services such as food, medicine, transportation, cash assistance, care for orphans and unaccompanied children, and psychiatric care.

According to information shared with CNA, Chad, Colombia, and Iraq have the largest number of refugees that will be negatively affected by the funding freeze, with more than 160,000 direct and indirect beneficiaries in Chad, some 54,000 in Iraq, and nearly 13,000 in Colombia.

JRS’ country director in Thailand, where over 12,000 refugees are expected to be impacted by the freeze, said in a statement shared with CNA that “the sudden suspension of JRS work with people of concern from Myanmar have left many at high risk of life-altering psychosocial distress.”

“They already found it hard to recover their lost social support network and livelihoods while in exile, and the uncertainty of restarting a life or surviving itself continues to bother them deeply,” the country director, who was not named, added.

The JRS coordinator for an education program center in India said in another statement: “It was once a place of hope, love, and joy, their safe space, but now it is an abandoned center that has an impact on the education of 200+ students.”

“More than 300 [children from Myanmar] rely entirely on JRS to continue their education in the hopes that they will be the ones to bring about change and put an end to the conflict,” the statement continued. “Though some may believe they have no other choices, they are survivors who can shape the future, and they come at the center every day shining.”

Ancient prophecies fulfilled
Not only is the prophetic record clear and concise; but it’s fulfillment is undeniable and is being played out before our eyes.

God’s prophets always get it right. Daniel had foretold the rise of the Roman Papacy and the role it would play when it ascended the world stage. Under the inspiration of God’s Holy Spirit he penned, “And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time” (Daniel 7:25).

In foretelling the rise and fall of world empires from his time in Babylonian captivity to the second coming of Jesus Christ, Daniel identified those imperial powers as Babylon, Media/Persia, Greece, and Rome; first in its Pagan form and then in its Papal form. Those powers were likened unto ferocious beasts contending for world dominion (Daniel 7:17).

John the Revelator picks up the story and expands upon the role the Papal power. He prophesied, “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast” (Revelation 13:1-3).

As John chronicled the demise and resurgence of this massive religious/political behemoth, God’s servant introduced the emergence of a new nation outside of the Papal confederacy. He prophesied, “He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon”
(Revelation 13:10-11).

VATICAN CITY -- The Vatican's charity said Monday that U.S. plans to gut USAID were “reckless” and could kill millions, while Pope Francis’ point man on development urged the Trump administration to remember Christian principles about caring for others.

Cardinal Michael Czerny, a Czech-born Canadian Jesuit, is one of the cardinals most closely associated with Francis’ pontificate and heads the Vatican office responsible for migrants, the environment, the church’s Caritas Internationalis charity and development.

Caritas on Monday warned that millions of people could die as a result of the “ruthless” U.S. decision to “recklessly” stop USAID funding, and hundreds of millions more will be condemned to “dehumanizing poverty.”

Brother Guy Consolmagno, SJ, has spent the last 30 years staring at the sky. As the director of the Vatican Observatory, known informally as “the pope’s astronomer,” he has just published his 13th book — “A Jesuit’s Guide to the Stars: Exploring Wonder, Beauty, and Science,” which he said he wrote at the suggestion of Loyola Press.

“I pulled together a lot of ideas, some of my own experience and some of the history of the Jesuits working on science,” he told EWTN News Nightly” on Feb. 5.

Consolmagno has been the director of the Vatican Observatory since 2015. He told “EWTN News Nightly” anchor Tracy Sabol that the observatory was officially established in 1891 to “show the world that the Church supports science. And we have been doing that ever since,” he said, adding that “we’re doing cutting-edge research, as we’re also carrying forth the message of how the heavens proclaim the glory of God.”

In his book, Consolmagno disputes the idea that we can’t study science and also be people of faith.

Marco Rubio reiterated his position regarding the regimes of Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua

by yourNEWS | Feb 6, 2025

During a press conference in the Dominican Republic, the US Secretary of State explained to a journalist why the regimes of Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua are enemies of humanity

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio reiterated his position on the regimes of Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, which he considers enemies of humanity, at a press conference in the Dominican Republic.

In a joint press conference with President Luis Abinader in the Ambassadors’ Hall of the National Palace, the seat of the Caribbean nation’s government, Dominican journalist Nelson Rodriguez told Rubio that saying that the governments of Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua were enemies of humanity was very strong, and that he should perhaps temper the expression.

The US Secretary of State told Nelson Rodriguez: “I don’t know any other way to talk about a regime, for example, that has forced almost 8 million of its citizens to leave Venezuela in the last ten years, that imprisons, tortures, and kills innocent people; in the case of Cuba, more than ten percent of the population has left the country, it has imprisoned more than 500 people, young children of 16-17 years old because they went out to demonstrate in the streets; and in the case of Nicaragua, it continues to fall on all its opponents, all the candidates for the Nicaraguan presidency have been prosecuted for justice or the lack of justice, they are even deporting nuns, they have declared war on the Catholic Church and all religious people, they have turned the country into a family dynasty where there is a co-presidency.”

Marco Rubio continued to argue with the Dominican journalist who suggested lowering the tone when referring to Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua: “I don’t know who is offended, but that is how I can describe those regimes. Not only do they do that to their own people, but all three have contributed to the instability of the region. All countries in the region have had to pay to some extent the price for the instability that exists in those three. In the case of Venezuela, it cooperates with Iran, with Hezbollah, with Hamas; in the case of Cuba, it has given shelter to Chinese espionage, a Russian presence. That remains my opinion. I hope there is a change in those countries, but I don’t expect it to happen. It is the way I talk about those regimes because it is the reality of how they have behaved. I wish it were not like that, but that is how it has been for a long time, unfortunately.”

Rubio said that the regimes in Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela “are enemies of humanity” and are causing the migration crisis in the region at a press conference in San José, Costa Rica, accompanied by the president of that country, Rodrigo Chaves.

Nelson Rodriguez also asked the Secretary of State if the US would pressure those three governments not to be invited to the 10th Summit of the Americas (to be held next December), or if the US would not attend. Rubio replied that “the decision of who to invite is up to the Dominican Republic.”

Asked whether the United States would sit down with these three governments, the Secretary of State emphasized: “The regimes can change, stop violating the human rights of so many people and stop abusing them. That would be perfect. But I think that politics works well when we speak clearly, we don’t get confused, and I’m not confused.”

During his official visit to the Dominican Republic, the last stop on his first international tour as Secretary of State, Rubio and President Luis Abinader discussed key issues such as the crisis in Haiti, the fight against drug trafficking, and cooperation in strategic industries. @ADNCuba

Trump says he is revoking Biden's security clearances

President Trump says he is "immediately revoking" former President Joe Biden's security clearances — access that Biden stripped from Trump four years ago.

Former presidents are historically given intelligence briefings after leaving office. In 2021, Biden revoked Trump's access just weeks after being sworn in, arguing Trump exhibited "erratic behavior."

Now, Trump appears to be repeating the move.

In a post Friday on his Truth Social platform, Trump said Biden "set this precedent" by taking away his clearances shortly after Trump left office.

Trump criticized the former president's cognitive ability and referenced a report by special counsel Robert Hur that described Biden as having a "poor memory." Biden was investigated by Hur for his alleged mishandling of classified materials after he left the vice presidency, but prosecutors ultimately determined that charges were not warranted.

Special counsel Hur defended Biden classified documents probe before Congress

"The Hur Report revealed that Biden suffers from 'poor memory' and, even in his 'prime,' could not be trusted with sensitive information," Trump said on Truth Social. "I will always protect our National Security — JOE, YOU'RE FIRED."

A spokesperson for the former president could not be immediately reached for comment.

Hegseth strips Milley of his security detail, orders investigation into his conduct

"What value is giving him an intelligence briefing?" Biden said in an interview with CBS News four years ago. "What impact does he have at all, other than the fact he might slip and say something?"

Trump's decision to revoke Biden's access follows similar moves taken by the administration against past critics of the president. Last week, the Pentagon revoked retired Joint Chiefs Chairman General Mark Milley's security detail and suspended his clearance. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former National Security Adviser John Bolton have also had their security details removed by Trump.
