Will Catholics Build the Third Temple? - Ep. 7422

Endtime

Streamed live on Oct 1, 2026

Will Catholics help make the Third Temple possible? A new development in Jerusalem raises a fascinating question about the future of the Temple Mount and Bible prophecy.

Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, has launched a permanent interfaith initiative called “Within Your Gates: The Forum for the Universal Vocation of Jerusalem.” Developed with the University of Notre Dame's academic center in Jerusalem, the forum brings together voices from different religious traditions to discuss Jerusalem, reconciliation, peace and its future.

In this episode of The Endtime Show, Vince Stegall and Doug Norvell examine what this surprising development could mean through the lens of Bible prophecy.

Vatican reporting describes an effort to develop an “alternative narrative” shared among different religious traditions concerning Jerusalem's universal mission. Pizzaballa has described earthly Jerusalem as becoming an image of heavenly Jerusalem and a sign of universal reconciliation and peace.

So what could Catholic-led interfaith dialogue possibly have to do with the Third Temple?

Revelation 11 describes a future Temple of God, an altar and worshippers—but also says the outer court is “given unto the Gentiles.” Endtime has long taught that this could point toward some type of future sharing arrangement on the Temple Mount.

We're not saying Catholics are currently planning to build the Third Temple. They aren't. We're asking whether growing interfaith cooperation surrounding Jerusalem could eventually help create the conditions in which Jewish Temple worship and Muslim access to the Temple Mount coexist.

At the same time, Jewish interest in the Temple Mount is increasing. Jewish visits recently reached a reported annual record, while the Temple Institute continues preparing vessels, garments and procedures associated with future Temple worship. Four potential red heifers also remain under observation, although their final halachic qualification has not been determined.

Then there are Revelation 13, 17 and 18, which Endtime has historically connected with a powerful end-time religious system possessing enormous international influence.

Could these developments eventually converge?

Join Vince Stegall and Doug Norvell as we connect Catholics, the Vatican, Jerusalem, the Temple Mount and the Third Temple—and examine what Bible prophecy says we should be watching next.

JD Vance has claimed that the antichrist may be “walking among us”, and said the world may be living through the “end times”.

The US vice-president made the comments during a podcast interview with Bryce Crawford, 22, an evangelical Christian with more than a million YouTube followers.

While promoting his new book Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith, Mr Vance said he was “trying to focus on doing as much of God’s work as possible”.

He said: “Do I think that we’re in the end times? I don’t know. I think that it’s probably bad for me spiritually to focus too much on it. There are things about the world that make me feel not shocked if the antichrist was walking among us.

“I tend to think that while I wouldn’t be shocked if we are living in the end times, what I’m trying to focus on is doing as much of God’s work as possible right now, and that if that leads to the end times, OK.”

Literal readings of the “end times” hold that an antichrist will rise to power, turn against God and persecute believers before Jesus returns.

Asked another question on the “end times”, Mr Vance described a friend whose wife had turned to an AI chatbot for counselling, only to realise it agreed with everything she wrote.

Why is Gen Z so Anti-Capitalist?

A new poll shows that support for socialism among young Americans is at an all-time high. What could be responsible for this fact?

Introduction

The future of free markets in the United States is in danger, as support for capitalism among younger generations has fallen to an all-time low. According to a poll conducted by the Cato Institute in 2025, 62% of Americans aged 18 to 29 say they hold a “favorable view” of socialism. Perhaps even more troubling, 34% of young Americans say they hold a “favorable view” of communism.

This is a stark contrast from previous generations. Baby Boomers overwhelmingly hold a positive view of capitalism at 68%. Only 32% of our elder generation holds a positive view of socialism.

Many older Americans are baffled by the fact that so many Gen Zers could favor a system that has failed so horribly in the past. Baby Boomers and Gen X grew up during the Cold War, when socialist and communist ideologies spread across Eastern Europe and Asia. They witnessed, in real time, the authoritarianism, human rights abuses, and economic stagnation stemming from socialist policies that plagued entire countries.

When the Soviet Union fell on December 26, 1991, many thought that would be the end of the support for socialism and that free-market capitalism would dominate the Western Hemisphere for eternity.

However, the rising support for socialism among young Americans, the recent election of democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani in America’s biggest city, and the Democratic Party’s gradual embrace of policies once considered fringe, proved that hopeful sentiment wrong.

So, what happened? Why are the youngest Americans so pessimistic about their economic future and demand an overhaul of our free-market system?

Hantavirus sparks fear, questions for some students in post-COVID world

Adverse weather conditions forced the cruise ship MV Hondius hit by a deadly hantavirus outbreak and anchored off Spain’s Canary Islands to dock before evacuations can be completed, the health ministry said.Jorge Guerrero / AFP

CHICAGO — Brooke Loughman knows that when she opens a social media app, she’ll be flooded with posts, whether she wants to see them or not. Lately, the first-year DePaul University student has found herself scrolling quickly through her feed, trying to avoid information about hantavirus and the wave of anxiety she experiences thinking about the possibility of another pandemic like COVID-19.

“If it is going to be a really big deal, I would rather not prematurely freak out, because if it is going to be like a COVID-19 scale thing again, I’d rather have some sense of normalcy for as long as I can,” said Loughman, who is 19.

Loughman’s thoughts are echoed by students scarred by living through the coronavirus pandemic.

The fresh mix of news and misinformation about hantavirus on social media is stirring up negative emotions for some young people, carried over from living on lockdown. COVID-era anxiety can linger and resurface, even more than half a decade after the pandemic, mental health experts say. The unknowns of a new virus outbreak, coupled with an influx of sometimes unreliable information, can generate fear, dread and anxiety.

In other words, the aftereffects of COVID-19 are still present, according to Tara Leytham Powell, an associate professor of social work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. “All the impacts of that, the loss of income, the social isolation, the fear of the illness, all those things still exist in people’s minds,” Powell, who is currently researching COVID’s lasting impacts on mental health.

Academia didn’t learn from Oct. 7. It doubled down Story

by Samuel J. Abrams, Washington Examiner

Academia didn’t learn from Oct. 7. It doubled down

One might have thought the campus chaos that followed Oct. 7, 2023, would force a moment of academic sobriety.

After the massacre in Israel, the country watched elite universities descend into moral confusion — students chanting slogans they barely understood, administrators hiding behind procedural evasions, and faculty members serving not as guides but as accelerants. The congressional hearings that followed did

Nor is sociology unique. Similar language now saturates much of the modern university. Across disciplines, professional associations increasingly define their purpose in terms of political ends — equity, disruption, justice, social progress — rather than the pursuit of truth. The American Educational Research Association, for instance, themed its 2024 annual meeting around “dismantling racial injustice” — not just studying it, but actively attempting to dismantle it. Scholarly guilds are recasting themselves not as communities of analysis but as engines of social change.

The result is a profound professional deformation: the conversion of academic departments into ideological projects. Barnard College’s Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies department, for instance, proudly declares that it “is dedicated to linking inquiry and action, theory and practice.”

Fortunately, mainstream observers have begun to acknowledge what was long treated as impolite to say: Faculty activism has become a gateway to campus radicalism. And even Harvard President Alan Garber admitted that the university “went wrong” by allowing professors to inject their personal views into the classroom, arguing that faculty activism has chilled free speech and debate. Professors are no longer simply interpreters of social life. Too often, they are organizers, legitimators, and moral enforcers — providing students with not only ideas, but marching orders.

The consequences are profound.

When a discipline defines its mission as “disruption,” it overtly and willfully abandons the central norms of scholarship. Research becomes, in the spirit of Max Weber, socially instrumental and outcome-driven. Questions are permitted or discouraged based on political utility. Peer review becomes ideological sorting. Students are trained not to analyze complexity but to rehearse commitments.

A War Has Erupted On The Streets Of America,..

A War Has Erupted On The Streets Of America, And It Is Going To End With Martial Law In Major U.S. Cities

January 25th, 2026 8:44 PM

  • We keep being told that the protesters are “peaceful”, but they aren’t peaceful at all.
  • Of course there is no way that the Trump administration will back down and allow the left to claim victory. That is not the way that President Trump operates.

Chaos has erupted in the streets of major cities all over this country, and it appears that we have reached a boiling point which could cause events to completely spiral out of control. We knew that there was no way that the Trump administration was going to back down on immigration enforcement, and we knew that there was no way that the left was going to back down and allow ICE to conduct mass deportations without resistance. In fact, the left now has “response teams” that literally operate like military units in cities such as Chicago, Minneapolis and New York City. So it was inevitable that we would see more violent confrontations, and now another protester has died. The left is promising to fight back harder than ever, and President Trump is seriously considering invoking the Insurrection Act. As both sides continue to raise the stakes, it is just a matter of time before this crisis ends with martial law in major U.S. cities.

Every time a protester dies, it is just going to make things even worse.

Following the death of 37-year-old Alex Pretti, enormous protests immediately erupted in Minneapolis, New York, Washington and Los Angeles…

Protests erupted in multiple U.S. cities after a U.S. Border Patrol agent fatally shot Alex Pretti, a 37‑year‑old intensive care unit nurse, during a federal immigration operation in Minneapolis, escalating tensions over immigration enforcement and prompting Democratic lawmakers to demand that federal officers leave Minnesota.

FCC chair threatens ABC and Disney over Jimmy Kimmel’s remarks about Charlie Kirk

FCC chair Brendan Carr threatened to "take ...

The Federal Communications Commission’s Trump-aligned chairman on Wednesday threatened to “take action” against Disney and ABC over Jimmy Kimmel’s recent comments about Charlie Kirk’s suspected killer.

During his Monday evening monologue, Kimmel suggested Kirk’s alleged killer, Tyler Robinson, might have been a pro-Trump Republican. “The MAGA Gang (is) desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said. “In between the finger-pointing, there was grieving.”

The ABC late-night host’s remarks constituted “the sickest conduct possible,” FCC chair Brendan Carr told right-wing podcaster Benny Johnson on Wednesday. Carr suggested his FCC could move to revoke ABC affiliate licenses as a way to force Disney to punish Kimmel.

“We can do this the easy way or the hard way,” Carr said. “These companies can find ways to change conduct and take actions on Kimmel, or there’s going to be additional work for the FCC ahead.”

Carr added that the broadcasters, including ABC, “have a license granted by us at the FCC, and that comes with it an obligation to operate in the public interest.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Carr attacked Kimmel as “talentless” and suggested the late-night comedian’s comments displayed “some sort of desperate irrelevance.” Disney and ABC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

This was not the first time Carr has gone after ABC in recent months. In July, the Trump appointee told Fox News that long-running daytime talk show “The View” is “now in the crosshairs of this administration” over co-host Joy Behar’s scathing criticism of President Trump.

Kimmel has also been a frequent target of President Trump’s ire. Shortly after CBS announced the cancellation of Stephen Colbert’s late-night talk show — a move Carr publicly celebrated — Trump suggested that “Next up will be an even less talented Jimmy Kimmel.”

Trump Calls For 'Fake News' Networks To Have Licenses Revoked by FCC

Published Aug 25, 2025 at 3:45 AM EDT

U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday called the ABC and NBC networks two of the "most biased" broadcasters ever and said the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) should revoke their licenses.
Why It Matters

Trump's return to the White House this year has brought a revival of his adversarial relationship with the media.

As during his first stint in the White House—marked by repeated attacks on the "fake news" press—Trump's second term has featured similar run-ins with media institutions and practices.

Shortly after taking office, Trump implemented media changes affecting the White House press pool and access. He has frequently used the phrase "fake news" to dismiss unfavorable coverage and has been outspoken in his support for and criticism of specific outlets.

Trump's attacks have raised concerns among some in the industry who fear that access to truthful reporting will become increasingly difficult as credentials are revoked and outlets too favorable of the president may not provide full and impartial coverage.

Media outlets promote a healthy democracy by providing the public with fact-checked information, particularly on those in power, and offering essential context.
