Trump admin declassifies 9/11 files showing Clinton received ‘explosive-packed airplane’ attack warning in September 1998

Trump links Iran war to 9/11 in Pentagon anniversary speech: ‘That’s why we fight today’

WASHINGTON — Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush were warned repeatedly that Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was scheming to attack the US using hijacked passenger jets — but still failed to stop the 9/11 attacks, according to a devastating cache of files released by the Trump administration Friday.

The formerly classified documents, some of which were previously described in press reports, buttress post-attack assessments that Washington did too little to counteract bin Laden’s Islamist terror band, leading to the deaths of nearly 3,000 people on Sept. 11, 2001.

The documents claimed Al Qaeda members were present in the US and had even performed a “trial run” at a New York airport nearly three full years before the staggering assault that took down the Twin Towers.

“Bin Laden [sic] Preparing To Hijack US Aircraft,” a Dec. 4, 1998, document prepared for Clinton’s Presidential Daily Brief ominously warned.

“Some members of the Bin Laden network have received hijack training, according to various sources,” the document said. “Bin Laden could be weighing other types of operations against US aircraft.”

The document added that a source had revealed that “Bin Laden might implement plans to hijack a US aircraft before the beginning of Ramadan on 20 December and that two members of the operational team had evaded security checks during a recent trial run at an unidentified New York airport.”

Hillary Clinton speaks at Georgetown (University)

Former CIA DirectorJohn Brennan is a Distinguished Fellow at Georgetown University's Center on National Security

John Brennan, former CIA Director, is currently a Distinguished Fellow at Georgetown University's Center on National Security. He also holds positions as a Senior National Security and Intelligence Analyst for NBC and MSNBC, and is a Principal at WestExec Advisors. Previously, he served as President Obama's Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism before becoming CIA Director.

John Brennan, former Director of the CIA, has a connection to Georgetown University through speaking engagements and his role at the Center on National Security. He served as CIA Director from 2013 to 2017. Before becoming Director, he was the Deputy National Security Advisor and also led the National Counterterrorism Center. He also has strong ties to Fordham University, where he earned his bachelor's degree, and the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned his master's.

Brennan's role at Georgetown University involves contributing his expertise and insights on national security, foreign policy, and the rule of law. He participates in conferences, workshops, and other events hosted by the Center on National Security. Additionally, he serves as a mentor to students interested in government service and national security careers.

Prior to his current positions, Brennan had a long career in the CIA, including roles as Chief of Staff to Director George Tenet and Director of the National Counterterrorism Center. He also served as the CIA's daily intelligence briefer to President Clinton. In 2013, he was appointed as the Director of the CIA by President Obama, serving in that capacity until 2017.

Brennan's connection to Georgetown extends beyond this specific event. He is also a figure who has been scrutinized for his role in the 2016 election and the handling of intelligence related to Russian interference. His actions and statements have been the subject of both Congressional investigations and public debate.

Brennan's tenure as CIA Director was marked by several significant events, including the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and the raid that killed Osama bin Laden. He has also been a vocal critic of former President Trump.

(UPDATED) Univision and Hillary Clinton: A Timeline of Corrupt Collusion

By Jorge Bonilla | October 25, 2016 | 1:46 PM EDT

UPDATED 10/25: As part of its ongoing "Podesta emails" campaign, Wikileaks released an email to Clinton Campaign Chair John Podesta from his Chief of Staff Sara Latham, which includes a full rundown of Univision programming for which Hillary Clinton appearances have been requested, and the following quote:

Haim Saban talked to HRC about us not doing enough with Univision and references this show (Sabado Gigante).

There can be no further doubt.

Our last dive into the WikiLeaks trove yielded the proverbial smoking gun that confirmed our suspicion of collusion between Univision and the Clinton campaign. Below is an evolving timeline that confirms, beyond reasonable doubt, that Univision is inextricably joined with the Clinton campaign in corrupt purpose and deed.

On April 12, 2015, Hillary Clinton published her presidential campaign announcement video. Five days later, Univision Executive Chairman and Clinton Foundation megadonor Haim Saban emails both Clinton campaign chair John Podesta and Univision's then-President of News and Fusion CEO Isaac Lee- a follow-up from prior phone conversations- and directs them to contact each other. Lee (set to deliver his infamous "Nazis" talk at UT-Austin the very next day) agrees to meet with Podesta "ASAP", and the two ultimately agree on a breakfast meeting.

The purpose of this breakfast meeting is revealed in a later email from Fusion Senior VP and Chief Strategy Officer (now President) Boris Gartner, who joined Lee and Podesta for breakfast at the Four Seasons:

As we had discussed when we had breakfast with Isaac in NY, we’ve been thinking about ideas for Univision/Fusion and Hillary.

The first "idea for Univision/Fusion and Hillary, of course, was enacted in the wake of Donald Trump's incendiary announcement speech and Saban's directly indirect influence over both campaign and network- which we covered here.

The collusion paid immediate dividends less than a month later, when Clinton's private e-mail server became a public scandal. On August 8th, Communications Director Jennifer Palmieri determined that Univision would be the friendliest venue in which to deal with the email scandal- and that Maria Elena Salinas should handle the interview:

I have a new thought on potential interviewer - Maria Elena Salinas of Univision. I would bill it as an interview on college affordability and she would ask her a few questions on emails. As you all know, I had hoped that we could use the "server moment" as an opportunity for her to be viewed as having take a big step to deal with the email problem that would best position us for what is ahead. It is clear that she is not in same place (unless John has a convo with her and gets her in a different place). Accepting that, I think Univision is best chance for success. We have momentum coming out of Jeb's women's health comment and their bad debate. A Univision interview will be viewed as more offense and show that she is confident and not rattled.

Of course, Clinton was able to appear "confident and not rattled" and emerged from her Univision interview scot-free, chiefly because Salinas dutifully avoided any serious probing into the budding scandal and allowed Clinton to deflect on to Judicial Watch. (Read the full MRC Latino writeup of that interview here.)

Fast forward to Super Tuesday. As Team Clinton celebrates, look at Huma Abedin's gushing over Hillary's victory speech, and its targeting of Univision viewers:

It was the most amazing night!

and the crowd just loved her

all those Univision viewers......

Why was Abedin so exultant about Univision viewers? It was because of this portion of Clinton's victory speech, which Team Clinton knew would get heavy run on the network:

Now it might be unusual, as I’ve said before, for a presidential candidate to say this, but I’m going to keep saying it, “I believe what we need in America today is more love and kindness.”

Because you know what? It works. Instead of building walls we’re going to break down barriers and build ladders of opportunity and empowerment so every American can live up to his or her potential, because then and only then can America live up to its full potential too.

The campaign knew what it had to do in order to get the most favorable coverage. Univision's coverage of Clinton's victory speech predictably focused around the spotlighted quote. This a pretty obvious example of the campaign acting in accordance with Saban's admonition from July of 2015, and giving the network something to cover in a friendly and favorable manner.

These WikiLeaks publications reveal the extent to which Univision and its News Division have been willfully corrupted by the Clinton campaign. Readers of this byline knew that to be the case all along, based on our coverage of the network's pillow-soft coverage of anything having to do with Hillary Clinton. But now there is incontrovertible corroborating evidence to support our longstanding claim- of Univision as a liberal special interest group with a news division, dependent on the election of Democrats to the White House and Congress for their long-term survival.

Exit question: What are the "...basically 2" reasons for which Saban loves Univision viewers?

Archbishop Tim Dolan: Trump and Clinton prayed together before Al Smith Dinner

By CNN

Updated 2:48 PM EDT, Fri October 21, 2016

Story highlights

The dinner is a charity event that encourages self-deprecating remarks
"I don't mind telling you I was kind of nervous going into it," he said

(CNN)-
Days after a tense debate where the two leading presidential candidates did not even shake hands, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump came together Thursday night to pray, Archbishop of New York Timothy Dolan said Friday.

"When we were going in, I said could we pray together as we were waiting to be announced, and after the prayer, Mr. Trump turned to Secretary Clinton and said, 'You know, you are one tough and talented woman,'" Dolan told NBC's "Today." "Then he said this has been a good experience, this whole campaign, as tough as it's been. And she said, 'Donald, no matter what happens, we need to work together afterwards.'"

"I think this is the evening at its best," he added.

The Democratic and Republican Party's respective presidential nominee attended Thursday's Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner, a charity event that encourages self-deprecating remarks from its speakers. Al Smith, a Democrat, was the first Roman Catholic candidate to become a major party candidate for the presidency.

Some of Trump's jibes drew boos from the crowd at the event known more friendly jokes than conflict.

Dolan sat between Trump and Clinton at the white-tie dinner at the Waldorf Astoria.

"I don't mind telling you I was kind of nervous going into it. You know the nature of the Al Smith dinner. It's to be an evening of unity and friendship and joy," he said.

Dolan said he was very moved by the two candidates attempts at unity during a very divided time in the country.

"I was very moved by the obvious attempt on behalf of both Secretary Clinton and Mr. Trump to be courteous, to get along, to say nice things privately to one another. I was very moved by that. That was pleasant," he said.

P.S. Catholic Cardinal Dolan didn't specify;  But, more than likely Trump and Clinton prayed the ROSARY.

The breathtaking insults contained in the Clinton campaign emails about the Catholic Church reveal a conviction that everything in life must be reduced to politics, and for extra measure, they smear all religious believers and especially women of faith.

Commentary

A few important points are missing from current reactions to the breathtaking insults contained in the Clinton campaign’s anti-Catholic emails.

First, no one, ever again, should have to remind religious Americans that their salvation does not lie in politics. This isn’t just about the Clinton campaign or just about Catholics. It’s rather about the beast that politics is.

In its mind, all is politics - whether grist for politics, or an obstacle to be smashed or subverted for political ends.

I remember seeing this side of Clinton in 1995. There had been a U.N. Conference on women in 1994 in which the Holy See delegation rallied the world successfully to shut down the U.S. delegation’s move to force elective abortion rights on dozens of unwilling countries. Clinton had led this delegation.

I had been a press representative on the Holy See side. The First Lady’s office therefore called me before the next U.N. meeting, purring about our common interests regarding women and the poor and inviting me over to the White House. I declined on the grounds of work, but invited them to drop by my office anytime.

Two of her representatives did. The conversation was strictly an attempt to flatter the Church in order to prevent a face-saving loss for the U.S. in round two.

Second, the Clinton campaign email scandal is also about all religions, not only Catholicism. This isn’t strictly because the campaign ridiculed Evangelicals as reputedly less intellectual than Catholics. It’s because the Clinton campaign wants us all to practice a different religion - Hillaryism.

That is, whatever is in Clinton’s image and likeness and according to her judgments of good and evil. If we refuse, then we have broken rule #1: everything must be reducible to politics.

I have no illusions about any political campaign. I live and work in the DC political orbit. But today it is Clinton’s campaign that has some “‘splainin’ to do” where religious people are concerned.

Third and finally, the campaign also has some explaining to do where religious women are concerned.

The lazy way in which the Clinton campaign slanders Catholicism as “severely backwards” on gender issues, should be a wake up call for religious women generally. We know the freedom we experience precisely as religious women. We know that survey after survey shows practicing religious women to be happier and even more satisfied with their relationships and their sexual lives.

But the “brief” against our way of life - the brief that holds our way of life to contradict and not to uphold equality and freedom - is a big one. We have a lot of work to do to flip this lazy slander.

WikiLeaks: Podesta and Left-Wing Activist Plot ‘Catholic Spring’

Longtime Clinton confidante discussed infiltrating the Catholic Church with progressive ideology to foment revolution

by Edmund Kozak | Updated 12 Oct 2016 at 2:03 PM

A newly leaked email shows Hillary Clinton’s current campaign chairman John Podesta and a Left-wing activist casually discussing fomenting “revolution” in the Catholic Church.

“There needs to be a Catholic Spring, in which Catholics themselves demand the end of a middle ages dictatorship and the beginning of a little democracy and respect for gender equality in the Catholic Church,” Sandy Newman, president and founder of the progressive nonprofit Voices for Progress, writes to Podesta in an email titled “opening for a Catholic Spring? just musing.”

“There needs to be a Catholic Spring, in which Catholics themselves demand the end of a middle ages dictatorship and the beginning of a little democracy and respect for gender equality in the Catholic Church.”

The emails were leaked in the third round of releases of Podesta’s emails by WikiLeaks.

Newman, who is Jewish, admits he does not know much about the Catholic Church and isn’t volunteering personally to subvert Catholic teachings. “Even if the idea isn’t crazy, I don’t qualify to be involved and I have not thought at all about how one would ‘plant the seeds of the revolution,’ or who would plant them.”

In response, Podesta assures Newman to rest easy for he and his progressive pals have already created organizations explicitly designed to infiltrate the Catholic Church with progressive ideology, though he cautions that the time may not be right for full revolution — just yet.

“We created Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good to organize for a moment like this. But I think it lacks the leadership to do so now. Likewise Catholics United. Like most Spring movements, I think this one will have to be bottom up,” Podesta writes.

The conversation further reveals the contempt with which radical progressives view Catholics and the Catholic Church. On Monday, WikiLeaks published an email showing Democratic operatives mocking conservative Catholics.

WikiLeaks emails show reporter agreed to let Clinton campaign cut quotes before story ran

A scholar at the Left-wing Center for American Progress emailed Podesta in 2011 bashing then-Fox News CEO Roger Ailes for his Catholic Faith.

"It’s an amazing bastardization of the faith," John Halpin wrote to Podesta, and Jennifer Palmieri, now the communications director of the Clinton campaign. "They must be attracted to the systematic thought and severely backwards gender relations and must be totally unaware of Christian democracy."

Palmieri, agreed.

"I imagine they think it is the most socially acceptable politically conservative religion," she wrote. "Their rich friends wouldn’t understand if they became evangelicals."
