Biden awards Pope Francis with Presidential Medal of Freedom

WE ARE NOT TO SET TIME

WE ARE NOT TO SET TIME

By earnest prayer and careful study of the book of Daniel, a sincere, God-fearing New England farmer, William Miller, was guided by God to crack the code of Daniel 8 and 9, and discover that a major event was predicted to occur near the half-way mark of the nineteenth century.

This date (later corrected to the autumn of 1844) was, indeed, the right one: Something very important was to occur on October 22, 1844 (Great Controversy, 456-457).

And it did.

A major new work began within the Sanctuary in heaven, a work of investigative judgment which you are acquainted with (Great Controversy, 409-432, 479-491). That event was one of the most important in all human history.

But another event also occurred on October 22, 1844, an event we rarely take notice of. It is unfortunate that we give it so little attention.

It is an event predicted in the book of Revelation:

And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven. And sware by Him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer.Revelation 10:5-6.

LONDON — Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby ’s tenure officially ends Monday, two months after he resigned following an inquiry that found he failed to tell police about serial abuse by a volunteer at Christian summer camps as soon as he became aware of it.

Welby, the head of Church of England and spiritual leader of the global Anglican Communion, will lay down his bishop’s crozier – a ceremonial long staff – in a symbolic act that marks the end of his ministry. Most of his official functions will be delegated to the Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, as the church embarks on the lengthy process of selecting a new leader.

Welby had announced in November that he would resign after an independent investigation into the late John Smyth, a prominent attorney who the inquiry said sexually, psychologically and physically abused about 30 boys and young men in the United Kingdom and 85 in Africa from the 1970s until his death in 2018.

The 251-page report of the Makin Review concluded that Welby failed to report Smyth to authorities when he was informed of the abuse in August 2013, soon after he became Archbishop of Canterbury. Had he done so, Smyth could have been stopped sooner.

Jesus is the Creator

Who is Jesus?

Jesus is the Creator

Chapter 1

Dec 30, 2024

All things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made. Jn. 1:3.

Introduction

This question ‘Who is Jesus?’ might immediately raise questions in people’s minds, such as: “don’t we already know who Jesus is?” After all, there is no other name, that is so widely known throughout the entire world, than the name of Jesus. Furthermore, there is no other person, that has ever lived, that has been written about more than Jesus. Even Hollywood makes movies about Jesus on a regular basis. Everyone knows who Jesus is. But is recognition the same as knowledge and is knowledge the same as understanding? We live in an age of information highways, that take us on journeys with uncertain outcomes and unknown destinations. Is it possible that the more we know the less we understand?

We are living in a secular, post-Christian world, where knowledge about Jesus is not valued as it formerly was, and the knowledge that we once had about Jesus is being lost. In addition, the knowledge that we do have about Jesus, is being obfuscated, diminished, and mis-represented. Truly, the light is waning, and the darkness is proliferating everywhere. This is nothing new, it has happened before, the prophet Hosea, lamented: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hos. 4:6) - truly, knowledge is power. The apostle Paul tells us that, “the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power (1 Cor. 4:20). This kingdom of God of power begins with Jesus and knowing who He is.

One of the first things we need to know about Jesus, is that there is a lot to know about Him. Just consider one thing about Him - His names and titles. These are a few of the names and titles that we find in the New Testament:

‘Messiah’ – ‘The Word’ - ‘Immanuel’ – ‘The Redeemer’ – ‘Lamb of God’ – ‘Second Adam’ – ‘Son of David’ – ‘High Priest’ – ‘King of Kings.’

Jesus our Only Savior or Francis' Jubilee?

...how will you choose?

The Foundation

The Jewish Jubilee, known as the Yovel in Hebrew, is a concept from the Torah, specifically outlined in Leviticus 25. It is a sacred year that occurs every 50 years, following seven cycles of seven years (each of which culminates in a sabbatical year, or Shmita). The Jubilee has profound religious, social, and economic significance in Judaic thought.

While the Jubilee is not observed in its biblical form in contemporary Judaism, its principles inspire discussions about economic justice, environmental stewardship, and societal fairness.

The book of Leviticus informs us on the requirements and administration of this ancient Judaic practice: “And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years. Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.

And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed. For it is the jubile; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field. In the year of this jubile ye shall return every man unto his possession”
(Leviticus 25: 8-11.

The Jubilee was a Proclamation of Liberty. The Jubilee year begins on Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) with the sounding of the shofar (ram's horn) throughout the land. This signals a time of liberation for individuals and the land.

President Joe Biden awarded gay marriage and abortion activists with Presidential Citizens Medals Thursday.

Mary Bonauto, an attorney and gay marriage activist who argued before the Supreme Court in Obergefell v. Hodges, which created a constitutional right to same-sex marriage, and Evan Wolfson, a leading gay marriage activist, are among 20 recipients of the prestigious award presented at the White House Thursday. Eleanor Smeal, who led national pro-abortion campaigns and routinely criticized the Catholic Church’s position on abortion and sexuality, was also awarded.

“The Presidential Citizens Medal is awarded to citizens of the United States of America who have performed exemplary deeds of service for their country or their fellow citizens,” the White House announcement stated. “President Biden believes these Americans are bonded by their common decency and commitment to serving others. The country is better because of their dedication and sacrifice.”

The medal is one of the highest awards a civilian can receive.

“For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?” I Cor. 14:8

New World Disorder

“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”

II Thessalonians 2:1-4

When people think of September 11th, the events of 2001 usually come to mind. Yet, another significant historical event occurred eleven years before the World Trade Center fell. On September 11, 1990, former President of the United States, George H.W. Bush, mentioned a “new world order” for the very first time. Speaking to a joint session of Congress, President Bush said, “We stand today at a unique and extraordinary moment. The crisis in the Persian Gulf, as grave as it is, also offers a rare opportunity to move toward a historic period of cooperation. Out of these troubled times, our fifth objective — a new world order — can emerge: a new era — freer from the threat of terror, stronger in the pursuit of justice, and more secure in the quest for peace. An era in which the nations of the world, East and West, North and South, can prosper and live in harmony.” (1) His speech came at a time when the world was changing in profound ways. The Berlin Wall had recently fallen, and the Soviet Union would soon collapse. Months later, President Bush again mentioned a “new world order” when he gave his State of the Union Address on January 21, 1991. (2) Nearly three and a half decades later, the promise of global peace and prosperity remains unrealized. Yet, the world again finds itself at a crossroads and on the cusp of another “new world order.”

What exactly is a “new world order” though? For some, it merely refers to the rebalancing of global powers wherein new countries emerge as leaders and others recede into the background. But what if that rebalancing of power ultimately results in a consolidation of power in the form of a global government? Would this global government be led by one man? The Holy Scriptures indicate that a day is coming when a powerful imposter would rise up purporting himself to be god. II Thessalonians 2:1-4 declares, “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.” People often refer to this forthcoming “man of sin” as the Antichrist. However, I find it interesting that he is called the “son of perdition.” In John 17:12, Jesus Christ also referred to his betrayer, Judas Iscariot, as the “son of perdition.” This verse declares, “While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.” We also learn in John, chapter 13, that when Judas received the sop at the Last Supper, Satan entered into him. Thus, the man of sin is also called the son of perdition because Satan himself will dwell inside him. Although we do not yet know who this man of sin will be, the Scriptures tell us that he is revealed. Thus, when the time comes, God’s people will be guided by God’s Spirit and will not be deceived even as the rest of the world is. Nevertheless, every effort to establish a new world order indicates that we are growing closer and closer to that moment of revelation. Yet, when we consider the chaos of our time, it might be more accurate to say that a new world disorder is unfolding before our eyes.

Pardoning Fauci Would Be Disservice to Him and Americans

Robert Moffit | RealClearWire
Dec 29, 2024

It seems President Biden won’t stop at letting his convicted son Hunter off the hook. The White House staff is reportedly pondering an unprecedented, pre-emptive set of presidential pardons for numerous officials who haven’t been formally charged or convicted of federal crimes but may be liable for indictment or conviction under the incoming Trump administration.

Prominent on that list is Dr. Anthony Fauci, former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID).

Why Fauci? Team Biden is mum. But the most likely rationale is a possible perjury charge: Fauci testified under oath in congressional inquiries. At issue: Fauci’s responses to the crucial question of whether American taxpayers’ dollars were used to fund viral “gain-of-function” experiments – research designed to enhance transmissibility or virulence of a pathogen – in a Chinese laboratory.

That issue just resurfaced in a meticulous 520-page report issued by the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. “Dr. Fauci’s testimony was, at a minimum, misleading,” congressional investigators concluded. “As established, at the time of Dr. Fauci’s testimony senior NIH (National Institute of Health) officials and the NIH website defined gain of function research as a ‘type of research that modifies a biological agent so that it confers a new or enhanced activity to that agent.’ Further witness testimony and a plain reading of Eco Health’s research conducted at the WIV (Wuhan Institute of Virology) using U.S. taxpayers’ dollars confirm it facilitated an experiment that conveyed new or enhanced activity to a pathogen—thus, satisfying the definition of gain of function research.”
