Roman Catholic Dialogue with the Seventh-day Adventists



Dialogue with the Seventh-day Adventists represents one of the Catholic Church's newest ecumenical initiatives. The Seventh-day Adventists do not hold memberships in any major ecumenical bodies but do maintain relationships with the Lutheran World Federation, World Alliance of Reformed Churches, and World Evangelical Alliance. Initial consultations in Geneva from 2001-2003 concentrated on divergent Sabbath/Sunday practices and the theological consequences of different methods of biblical interpretation. Since then no additional formal dialogue initiatives have been launched.
