Turning Point USA contributor Savanah Hernandez was attacked by multiple anti-ICE protesters in Minneapolis on Saturday, with one female protester caught on camera hitting Hernandez with two punches to the head and knocking her to the ground.

Hernandez shared multiple clips of the anti-ICE protesters assaulting her on X on Saturday.

“I was just brutally assaulted by multiple people outside of the Whipple ICE facility in Minneapolis,” she posted. “Multiple people swung on me and a grown man pushed me to the ground. My glasses are broken. ANTIFA still alive and well. I’m talking with police about pressing charges.”

She followed that up with a clip showing her being heckled and surrounded by protesters, with one woman attempting to smack Hernandez in the face with a pink dildo. The clip then shows another woman punching Hernandez to the ground against a chain link fence; Hernandez got back on her feet quickly and was then confronted by another portly female protester, who threw her shoulder into Hernandez and then shoved her away with her right arm.

The footage shared by Hernandez was from YouTuber “BG on the Ground” and did not include audio; that clip has not been posted to BG’s YouTube page as of Saturday afternoon. Hernandez mentioned a few times on X a grown man pushed her to the ground, but that is not seen in a few of the clips she shared.

Hernandez also reposted a clip of the assault from a different angle.

Viewers can hear whistles blaring and one protester yelling “B*tch!” as Hernandez backpedals after she was hit to the ground; it’s appears more punches were thrown between the anti-ICE protesters and people from Hernandez’s side, but it it tough to discern from the clip. The shouting — and obviously, punches thrown at Hernandez — make it clear it was a chaotic scene.

A North Carolina woman accused of plowing her car into a cop in a brazen, caught-on-camera attack was freed on bond just hours after her arrest – a “very frustrating” move that has police fuming.

Tanaezah Michelle Austin, 25, posted a $3,000 bond and was back on the streets hours after she was jailed for slamming her black Kia Optima into a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officer as cops tried to break up a “street takeover” in Charlotte on March 1, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by Fox News.

Police said the officer was standing in front of the car ordering Austin to stop when she allegedly hit the gas and sped off amid mayhem unfolding in a Harris Teeter parking lot around 3:25 a.m.

KARACHI, Pakistan — At least nine people were killed and about two dozen were wounded in violent clashes with police and paramilitary forces Sunday after hundreds of protesters stormed the U.S. Consulate in the Pakistani port city of Karachi, authorities said.

The violence came hours after the United States and Israel attacked Iran and killed the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Police and officials at a hospital in Karachi said at least 25 people were also wounded in the clashes and some of them were in critical condition.

Summaiya Syed Tariq, a police surgeon at the city's main government hospital, confirmed that initially six bodies and multiple injured people were brought to the facility. However, she said the death toll rose to nine after three critically wounded died.

The U.S. Embassy in Pakistan wrote on X that it was monitoring reports of ongoing demonstrations at the U.S. Consulates General in Karachi and Lahore, as well as calls for additional protests at the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad and the Consulate General in Peshawar. It advised U.S. citizens in Pakistan to monitor local news, stay aware of their surroundings, avoid large crowds and keep their travel registration with the U.S. government up to date.

Senior police official Irfan Baloch said protesters briefly attacked the perimeter of the U.S. Consulate but were later dispersed. He dismissed as baseless reports that any part of the consulate building was set on fire. However, he said protesters torched a nearby police post and smashed windows of the consulate before security forces arrived and regained control.

Witnesses said dozens of Shiite protesters remained gathered about a kilometer (half a mile) from the consulate, urging others to join them. They said one of the protesters had tried to burn a window of the consulate before security forces arrived there and dispersed the demonstrators.

Joe Biden Gave a Very Long, Somewhat Self-Congratulatory Speech on Sexual Violence

On Tuesday morning, Vice President Joe Biden gave a long—very long— speech about sexual violence at the United State of Women Summit in Washington, D.C. So long did Joe Biden take to rail against the abuse of power baked into our patriarchal system, in fact, that MSNBC’s Irin Carmon reported via Twitter that the rest of the summit’s schedule was truncated; she also noted that several activists found his descriptions of abuse “triggering.”

Biden’s speech was slightly rambling, occasionally powerful, and at some points, in extremely typical Joe Biden fashion, wildly crass and apparently unaware of the survivor-sensitive protocol surrounding how we speak about rape and sexual violence. Women who have suffered domestic abuse “are raped again and again and again by the system,” he intoned during one particularly cringe-worthy moment. In another, Biden imitated a man who doesn’t intervene in an abusive situation, saying, “I know he bangs her around, but you know, it’s not my place.”

Much of the speech focused on “changing our culture” and encouraging bystander intervention. “You guys in the audience, we’ve gotta overcome this social discomfort of calling out the misogyny that happens when no women are present: the locker room talk, the bar banter, the rape jokes,” he said. “As a man, maybe it makes you uncomfortable, but if you let it pass because you wanna become of the one guys, you become an accomplice.”

“Alcohol abuse on campuses certainly makes the problem worse, but the answer isn’t to shame women for drinking,” he also noted. “We have to educate everyone about the importance of respect and mutual and affirmative consent. And consent isn’t, ‘Well, I didn’t hear no.’”

In the speech, Biden declared the issue of gender equality “literally, not figuratively, the cause of my life,” which is in many ways accurate—in 1990, he introduced the Violence Against Women Act (something he did not let anyone forget in this speech), created the Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault in 2014, and later that year, helped launch the It’s On Us initiative. Just last week, he wrote an open letter to the woman sexually assaulted by Stanford student Brock Turner.

Rather inconveniently, Joe Biden also chaired the Senate Judiciary Committee’s hearings on Anita Hill’s sexual harassment allegations against Clarence Thomas, where he chose not to call witnesses that would have corroborated Hill’s claims and was seen as failing to protect Hill from public smear attacks, actions for which he has never apologized.

The hypocrisy is tough to swallow; the very system of fundamental gender inequality that Biden is supposedly railing against is the same one that allowed him to quietly reset his public narrative as a champion of women.

But after many years of genuine hard work on behalf of women and college students, and loud, highly-publicized statements meant to draw awareness towards the issue of sexual assault, how much should that matter? Is it possible that a disruptively long and slightly offensive speech about sexual violence by a powerful white man with a spotty record could be, perhaps, a net positive?

Seriously, you tell me.

In his 19-year career as a Philadelphia police officer, Lt. Jonathan Josey has shot and killed an armed robber, endured a stabbing that put him out of work for months, and written newspaper columns on criminal justice. Josey, 39, has also acted in independent films, tried his hand at comedy, and was named a Philadelphia Daily News "Sexy Single" in 2006.

But on Monday, Josey gained national notoriety in the worst way - as the villain in a real-life YouTube video of him punching a woman in the face during Sunday's Puerto Rican Day celebration.

Josey, who is assigned to the highway patrol unit, has been placed on desk duty. The department's Internal Affairs bureau is investigating the incident, which took place in North Philadelphia in the midst of a throng of revelers.

Deputy Police Commissioner Richard Ross called the footage "disturbing."

"I'm not going to sit here and tell you I didn't have a reaction to it," Ross said. "It's of grave concern."

Rochelle Bilal, president of the Guardian Civic League, which represents the city's black police officers, said Josey would not comment pending the outcome of the investigation. Bilal, who knows Josey well, said she did not know what preceded the video, but she said she would not have thought such actions were in keeping with Josey's character.

"What I've seen is not what I would like any police officer to do to anyone," Bilal said. "I don't know what the investigation is going to reveal. . . . But to me, that behavior is deplorable."

The 35-second video, shot on a cellphone and uploaded to YouTube, quickly spread to national websites Monday morning. It was shot near Fifth Street and Lehigh Avenue on Sunday during a street party that traditionally takes place after the city's annual Puerto Rican Day parade, which was dedicated this year to "The Puerto Rican Woman."

The video captured Josey striking Aida Guzman, 39, of Chester, and Guzman falling to the ground and then being hauled off in handcuffs, her face bloodied.

Seconds before the punch, Guzman can be seen walking and talking near a group of officers clustered around a car. Someone in the crowd (not Guzman) is seen throwing liquid into the air, and Guzman jumps up and down behind the group, holding what appears to be a can or a bottle.

Police said they believed that Guzman threw water or beer at the officers and that as Guzman turned and walked away from the group, Josey walked toward her and knocked her to the ground with a blow to the face.

Standing outside her house in Chester on Monday, Guzman that she threw nothing that that she did not see Josey moving toward her until he punched her. With her 19-year-old daughter, Kay, translating her Spanish, Guzman said she felt sick about what happened.

Guzman showed reporters her split lip and scraped elbows and knuckles. After hitting her, Guzman said, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Josey handed her a summons for disorderly conduct for throwing a water bottle at police.

"If she did it or if she didn't, he had no right to hit her like that," Kay Guzman said. "The video says everything. We are angry."

Aida Guzman, who has five children and works three housekeeping jobs, took her two young children to the parade Sunday and typically goes every year, she said.

Guzman has not decided whether she will pursue the matter, saying she wants to discuss it with her husband first. She said she did not wish Josey harm but did want him punished.

Police are asking that witnesses call the Internal Affairs unit at 215-685-5056.

Tasha Jamerson, a spokeswoman for the District Attorney's Office, said the office cannot act until Internal Affairs has investigated thoroughly.

City Councilwoman Maria Quiñones Sánchez, who helped organize the parade, said that she spoke with Police Commissioner Charles H. Ramsey Monday and that Ramsey was particularly upset because the incident involved a commanding officer.

Josey has worked in the 18th Police District and the Narcotics Field Unit and has served as the vice president of the Guardian Civic League. He is well regarded by many in the department, Ross said.

"He is known for being in the right place at the right time, as far as staving off criminal activity," Ross said. "Nobody's ever going to question the fact that he's a very active officer."

Since joining the force in 1993, he has amassed 13 citizen complaints, most of which were filed by people who claimed Josey verbally or physically abused them. The allegations were deemed unfounded or unable to be substantiated, records show.

In 2007 the city paid $7,500 to settle a lawsuit that alleged Josey threw a man against a wall in West Oak Lane, then kicked and punched him while looking for a fellow officer's stolen gun.

In March 2010, when Josey was off-duty, he walked into a 7-Eleven in Bala Cynwyd and interrupted an armed robbery by Kenneth DeShields. When DeShields fled, Josey pursued him and fired when DeShields reached for a gun in his waistband. Josey was cited for bravery by the Citizens Crime Commission and cleared in the shooting.

Three months later, early July 4, Josey was off duty and outside a West Philadelphia bar with another officer when he saw two women arguing with an off-duty female officer. When he intervened, one of the women swung her purse at him, then went to her car, returning with a knife that she plunged three inches into Josey's lower back.

After a Common Pleas Court jury found the woman guilty of aggravated assault, she was sentenced to nine to 20 years in prison. In a letter Josey submitted at the sentencing, he recounted sitting on the sidewalk, bleeding profusely, wondering if he would survive.

Josey was hospitalized for two days, he said, and spent two months recovering. In asking the judge to impose a stiff sentence, he wrote of "the emotional and psychological scars that this incident left me with that I still battle."

Outside work, Josey has acted in several independent movies, according to IMDb.com, and he runs a production company called Brothers in Blue with a friend who is a paramedic.

In 2006, Josey was profiled as one of the Daily News' "Sexy Singles." In the feature, Josey said his "secret wish" was to run for mayor.

Josey also published several editorials in the Philadelphia Daily News. In one, published after the fatal shooting of an armed man in Germantown, Josey blasted critics of the Police Department.

"It never fails that any time a Philadelphia police officer uses deadly force during the course of his duties, along come the cries of outrage from the neighborhood," Josey wrote. "When an officer shoots someone, witnesses come out of the woodwork, but when reckless hoodlums lay siege to these same streets, nobody sees a thing."

Alleged sexual abuse victim cleared in priest attack

A jury in San Jose acquitted William Lynch on Thursday of two felony counts in connection with his 2010 attack on the Jesuit priest he said molested him during a camping trip more than 30 years ago.

Three female and nine male jurors found the 44-year-old not guilty on felony charges of assault causing great bodily injury and elder abuse, but were hung on the lesser charge of simple assault.

The charges stemmed from Lynch’s May 10, 2010, assault at the Los Gatos retirement home of the Rev. Jerold Lindner, then 65. Lynch said the Jesuit priest raped him at the age of 7 and also forced him to perform sexual acts with his brother, who was then 4 years old.

Taking the stand last week, Lynch described how the abuse and Lindner’s alleged threats against reporting the molestation ruined his life, driving him to alcohol abuse and depression.

Lynch testified that he only visited the Sacred Heart Jesuit Center where Lindner lived in an attempt to gain some closure, and to ask the priest to sign documents confirming the abuse.

Lynch told the jury that during that visit, Lindner leered at him the same way he had while molesting Lynch as a child, prompting the attack.
