FBI Fires 5 Richmond Analysts Over Anti-Catholic Memo

FBI Fires 5 Richmond Analysts Over Anti-Catholic Memo

FBI fires five crime analysts from the Richmond field office over their involvement in a controversial 2023 memo that labeled traditional Catholics and Christians as potential terrorists and extremists.

In this segment of Virginia Insider, we break down the leaked memo, its quick retraction, and the fresh accountability under FBI Director Kash Patel. A VCU professor calls the firings "unheard of" and claims they threaten law enforcement independence — but is that accurate when compared to years of alleged weaponization under the previous administration?

Uriah Kiser discusses the Russia collusion narrative, the Mar-a-Lago raid, school board parents labeled as threats, and the broader erosion of trust in federal institutions. This story hits close to home for Virginia Catholics and Christians who watched their faith unfairly targeted with taxpayer dollars.

The Kash Patel Confirmantion Dilemma

February 19, 2025

In November 2024, Kashyap Pramod Vinod Patel, popularly known as Kash Patel was nominated by President Donald Trump to be the new Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). On January 30, 2025 confirmation hearings began on Capitol Hill, in Washington, D.C. However, the hearings have been prolonged due to opposition from Democrats of the Senate Judiciary Committee which is chaired by Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois.

Kash Patel has been accused by several Democrat Senators of believing in Conspiracy Theories and being a President Trump lackey that would act as his  henchman at the head of the highest Law Enforcement body in the country.  The Senate Judiciary Committee Democrat Senators have transformed these hearings into an ongoing struggle to deny Patel's confirmation; these hearings have turned into what looks like an ongoing series of soap opera episodes.

Besides all the objection and resistance, if confirmed Kash Patel will be the first East-Indian-American, Hindu, Director of the FBI.
