Gerald Celente: Global Crash Will Force More Money Printing

August 24th, 2015

Greg Hunter: Top trends researcher Gerald Celente has recently predicted a market crash between now and the end of the year.

It looks like that prediction is unfolding now, and Celente contends, “It’s very simple. You have a global slowdown, and this is after central banks have pumped in trillions of dollars, yen, yuan, euros and you name it to propping it up.”

“We are in unprecedented territory. This has never happened before in the history of the world. Even the Wall Street Journal came out last week with a front page story and said the Fed used up all its ammunition.”

“They have nothing left to do because they have record low interest rates, but I disagree with them.”

“I believe they will come out with another round of quantitative easing (QE or money printing). They will do anything they can. It looks pretty sure they are not going to raise interest rates in September.”

“What is going to create jobs? The jobs they are creating stink. Here’s a number for you. Medium household income is 6% below where it was in 1990.”

“Look at the new home buyers. In good times, first time buyers are usually around 40%. It is down to 28%. Look at the amount of people who own homes.”

“It’s back to 1960 levels. Look at the labor force participation rate. It is back to late 1970’s levels. There is no recovery. It’s been a cover-up.”

Celente sees stocks and bonds taking a big hit, while gold prices spike.

Celente explains, “By the end of the year, the equity markets will be down by more than 20%. Look at the NASDAQ. It’s below 5,000. The last time the NASDAQ was at 5,000 was March of 2000.”

“That was 15 years ago. I am bullish on gold. I believe when gold prices go up, they are going to spike up. We believe, and we are on record, that the bottom in gold is between $1,000 per ounce to $1,150 per ounce. ”

“That was the downside risk because it doesn’t pay to pull it out of the ground at any level lower than that. It’s not like oil where you have to keep pumping just to keep things going. Now, we believe that when gold prices go up, they are going to skyrocket up.”

“We are looking for gold to beat its 2011 level when it was $1,927 per ounce. We believe it is going to go over $2,000 per ounce. We are not as bullish on silver because silver is used for production, and we don’t see production increasing.”

“Silver is a manufacturing metal, as well. However, having said that, it will not go down along with other raw materials. It will probably rise, but not at the pace we see gold rising. Gold has been looked upon as when all else fails, there is gold.”

“People will be looking for a safe haven commodity when this all begins to collapse. You are going to see riots in Brazil and more riots in Venezuela. I just got back from Italy. There are migrants everywhere. You got a war in Libya.”

“You got a war in Syria. You got a war in Iraq. You got a war in Yemen. You got a war in Afghanistan. You have destabilization from Mali to the Congo, central Africa to Sudan to Somalia. These people are flooding out into Europe.”

“There is no way of stopping this wave because besides the wars, you have crashing commodity prices. Commodities were holding these countries together as they were exporting it to China when China was manufacturing.”

So, that's what we're really looking at--the end game is Iran." What would happen if Iran and Israel went to war? Would the Strait of Hormuz close, gasoline explode to $10 a gallon, WW3, markets implode? Celente says, "All of the above." Tax on Deposits Means Stealing Your Money - Gerald Celente

Greg Hunter

Published on Mar 31, 2013

http://usawatchdog.com/u-s-provoking-... Gerald Celente of The Trends Journal.com says the Cyprus banking crisis is coming to America. Celente explains, "Tax on deposits? Can any adult say stealing your money?" What about the recent lackluster performance of gold and silver? Can it still protect you? Celente says, "Suppose you can't get your money out of the banks. Suppose they just screwed you. You need food or fuel. You'd like a couple of pieces of gold or silver in your hand. You think that would buy you anything?" On the subject of Homeland Security stockpiling hollow point ammunition, Celente says, "That we are even having this discussion shows how fascist things have become. How much of history has to be repeated before we see it is repeating itself, again?" Join Greg Hunter as he goes One-on-One with Gerald Celente Publisher of the Trends Journal

Rense & Celente - Making Mass Murderers

Published on Jul 30, 2012 by JRense

Celente argues are they but a reflection of our society?

Alleged Colorado cinema gunman James Holmes has been formally charged with 142 criminal counts in one of America's worst mass shootings.

He faces 24 counts of murder, two for each of the 12 people killed, and 116 counts of attempted murder, two each for the 58 injured.

For each person killed he faces a count of murder with deliberation and one of murder with extreme indifference.

If convicted, the 24-year-old could face the death penalty.

Gerald Celente: Brace for Economic 9/11

Founder of Trends Research Institute Gerald Celente predicts an economic 9/11 for the United States is just around the corner.

Though last Friday’s U.S. Labor Department employment report showed a remarkable drop in the unemployment rate to 8.6 percent for November, down from 9 percent in October, Celente’s said nothing has changed in the employment picture. In fact, he said, the economy will get worse.

Moreover, because of the Celente’s deteriorating jobs outlook, continued inflation and a deepening recession slated for the first quarter of 2012, American will explode into “economic martial law,” according to him.

America is being fed the hope of a recovery; it’s all a “lie,” Celente said, and will blindside many Americans who still believe Washington’s propaganda and numbers fudging.

“It’s food stamp employees. Oh, there were jobs created in retail,” Celente told Russia Today. “You know, those wonderful jobs where you take people’s money and say, ‘Have a nice day’. And there were jobs in hospitality. That’s another word for cleaning up somebody’s room. Oh, and there were jobs in healthcare. You know, working in nursing homes, making $62.50 a week by the time after taxes. You know, so these aren’t real jobs. This is a plantation economy.”

Not only are poor quality jobs created, but buried in the November labor data reveals 315,000 unemployed workers haven’t found jobs in the last 12 months. These long-term jobless Americans fall off the radar, no longer counted by the Labor Department, thereby artificially lowering the unemployment rate. (For more on government manipulation regarding employment statistics, see Shadowstats.com)

The number of Americans who want to work but still cannot find work stands at 13.3 million. And the jobs picture gets worse after taking into account a naturally growing U.S. labor pool.

“And the big lie, that no one’s talking about as they pump up this weak number, is that, you need a 125,000 jobs a month to account for the new people moving into the economy and population growth,” Celente explained. “So that leaves all the people that have lost all these jobs since the Great Recession hit still out of work.

“It’s going to get worse,” he added. “As a matter of fact, we’re coming out with our top trends for 2012, and one of them is going to be economic martial law. We’re going to go into an economic 9/11.”

Celente notes a disconnect between the reality of an impending economic collapse and Americans taken in by hype surrounding the day after the Thanksgiving Day holiday, or ‘Black Friday’. While the U.S. economic ship sinks, the passengers seem not to notice, according to Celente.

“What they’re [the Fed] doing is that, they’re pumping this up to get the people to spend their last pennies that they don’t have on Christmas junk,” he said. “And you saw with all the hype with this Black Friday. They’re not solving the problems over in Europe.

“The European Union is collapsing, the European monetary union. What did they do? They just came out with credit ratings, showing 15 of the banks have lost their credit ratings because they’ve been degrading. The same day they come out, central banks around the world are pumping trillions of dollars into them to keep it afloat.”

The so-called smart money, however, isn’t fooled. Stock prices, which are regarded as a reliable leading economic indicator of future economic growth, have stalled from the bear market rally of March 2009.

And the Fed appears to be confirming the fear on Wall Street. On Dec. 8, the U.S. central bank released a report showing a $2.4 trillion drop in U.S. household net worth for the quarter ending Sept. 30.

“Americans’ wealth last summer suffered its biggest quarterly loss in more than two years as stocks, pension funds and home values lost value,” according to Reuters. “It was the sharpest drop since the tumultuous period after the September 2008 bankruptcy of investment bank Lehman Brothers.”

Adding to the worries of a renewed downturn in the U.S. economy include Europe’s and Japan’s financial problems as well as a China slowdown, which, taken together, have never conspired simultaneously since the Great Depression.

If the U.S., Europe, Japan and China, together representing more than half of global GDP, how will America, Europe and Japan pay on its sovereign debt?

Following the collapse of Lehman Brothers in 2008, governments backstopped the financial system to prevent financial Armageddon. Today, it’s the governments that need backstopping. Who will backstop them?

“When the New Year comes, the Winter of Discontent is going to set in, reality is going to bite,” Celente concluded. Brace for an economic 9/11.

Celente Solution: The 21st Century 'Global Game Changer'

Previously by Gerald Celente: PIIGS, Presstitutes, and the Global Meltdown

After reading the newly-released SummerTrends Journal, no responsible journalist will be able, in good conscience, to paint Gerald Celente again as a purveyor of “Pessimism Porn,” a “gloom and doomer,” or an “alarmist.”

Celente will continue to make clear that “Happy Days” will not soon be here again. He will continue to explain that, budget deal notwithstanding, no future Fed quick fixes or DC schemes can reverse the “Greatest Depression”-bound economy. No bipartisan miracle will eliminate the budget or trade deficit, restore the dollar to its former glory, or bring back jobs lost to China, India, Mexico, etc.

Europe’s financial crisis is equally critical. And the EU, IMF and ECB rescue policies will prove as ineffective as America’s. Those warnings are not “alarmism” or “pessimism” – they are just a matter of drawing logical conclusions from hard facts and incontrovertible data.

Nevertheless, even with a major economic collapse ahead of us, Celente is convinced there is a basis for expecting positive global outcomes in the long-term. The potential “Game Changer” lies in a widespread recognition that the Industrial Revolution mindset and policies will not, and cannot, work in a 21st century world.

“It’s not just Model T economics that’s outmoded, so are our approaches to education, healthcare, politics and, yes, the military,” says Celente. “The old adage ‘Generals fight the last war’ is as valid as ever. While the technology may have changed, the mindset hasn’t. The conviction that brute force can prevail in an occupied country defended by guerilla combatants has proven a multi-trillion dollar, decade-long failure. Yet even as old wars drag on with no victory in sight, new wars are started such as ‘Operation Odyssey Dawn’ launched against Libya five months ago, a ‘kinetic military action’ that was supposed to end in ‘day’s, not weeks.’”

Celente Solution: Direct Democracy

“The government/political ‘system’ in place in America, and throughout much of the world, is obsolete and irreparable. The inept generals masterminding lost-cause wars are mirrored by warring senators and representatives in Congress. Anyone who watched weeks of the Washington Wrestling Federation’s (WWF) Reality Show, ‘Beltway Battle Over the Budget,’ and still trusts the judgment of politicians, is either delusional or ideologically trapped,” says Celente.

Yet, it is an undeniable fact that 535 elected members of Congress, despite their incompetence, pass laws that control the lives of over 300,000,000 citizens. “The problem isn’t just in the numbers,” says Celente, “it’s that the ‘Gang of 535? represents lobbyists and campaign contributors, not the constituents they claim to represent. ‘Representative Democracy’ is a cruel sham; it’s neither ‘representative’ nor ‘democratic,’ and people are getting wise to it. Polls show that only 17 percent of likely US voters say the country is heading in the right direction, while 46 percent believe most members of Congress are corrupt.

“In those beliefs rest the possibility for change, real change, not Obama-change. As Victor Hugo put it, ‘There is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world, and that is an idea whose time has come.’ I believe that ‘idea’ is Direct Democracy, and I believe that the time has come for the entire world to wrest power from the hands of ruling political mobs and put it into the hands of the public. ‘Let the people vote!’ ”

Can Direct Democracy really work? It does in Switzerland! But is it a viable, realistic substitute for the many representative democracies, which, in practice, are not democratic at all? Or would it lead to mob rule? Can Direct Democracy really be “The Global Game Changer”?

Wars, Rumors Of Wars, Skyrocketing Oil Prices And Global Economic Chaos – Why Is All Of This Happening?

Did anyone out there anticipate that 2011 would be such a wild year? The year is barely over two months old and we have already seen multiple civil wars erupt, rumors of more wars all over the mainstream media (potentially even including the United States), riots and revolutions breaking out all over the globe, oil prices soaring into the stratosphere and chaos on global financial markets. So why is all of this happening? Is all of this one big coincidence or is there a reason why we are witnessing such global chaos right now? Is it just coincidence that revolutions have broken out in over a dozen countries in the Middle East all at the same time? Is it just a coincidence that global prices for oil, food and precious metals are all skyrocketing? Is it just a coincidence that world financial markets suddenly seem more vulnerable than at any time since 2008? Looking at what is going on in the world right now, it is very tempting to use the phrase "a perfect storm" to describe it. Unfortunately, this "perfect storm" is very likely to plunge the global economy into yet another financial collapse if it continues to get even worse.

After decades of relative stability, the Middle East has erupted in chaos in 2011. In the post-World War 2 era, we have never seen a time when there have been so many major internal revolutions all at once. All of these simultaneous revolutions are driving the price of oil rapidly upwards.

The price of West Texas crude is now over $102 a barrel and the price of Brent crude is now over $116 a barrel and if the chaos in the Middle East continues those numbers are likely to go a lot higher.

Meanwhile, gold has set a new all-time record this week and the price of silver is absolutely exploding.

In fact, just about every kind of "hard asset" that you can possibly name is going up in price. Investors don't like all of this instability and they are looking for safe places to put their money.

Unfortunately, the global situation looks like it may become even more heated.

The calls for military action against Libya are rapidly reaching a crescendo.

The U.S. Senate has unanimously passed a resolution calling for the UN Security Council to impose a no-fly zone over Libya, and many members of Congress are openly declaring that the U.S. and NATO should take unilateral action no matter what the UN ultimately decides.

But implementing a no-fly zone is not a simple thing. It is not just a matter of telling Libya not to fly their planes. Rather, imposing a no-fly zone over Libya would constitute a major military operation.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates is even admitting that enforcing a no-fly zone over Libya would begin with a huge military strike.....

"Let's just call a spade a spade. A no-fly zone begins with an attack on Libya to destroy the air defenses ... and then you can fly planes around the country and not worry about our guys being shot down."
U.S. commander General James Mattis made a similar comment on Tuesday....

You would have to remove the air defense capability in order to establish the no-fly zone so it - no illusions here, it would be a military operation.
Essentially, imposing a no-fly zone over Libya would be an act of war.

Most of our representatives in Washington D.C. seem to be quite ready to go to war in Libya, but it is another story entirely when it comes to the American people. A recent Rasmussen poll found that a whopping 67 percent of Americans do not want the U.S. to get more involved in the unrest going on in Arab countries and only 17 percent of Americans do want the U.S. to get more directly involved.

But the American people don't get to decide whether we go to war or not. Our leaders in Washington D.C. do. The USS Enterprise and other major warships are on their way to Libya, and U.S. forces throughout the Mediterranean are on high alert.

So could the U.S. really get involved in another war in the Middle East?

Well, if the U.S. and NATO choose to get involved they will do it without the approval of the rest of the world.

On Wednesday, the Arab League issued a statement which specifically rejected "any foreign interference within Libya on behalf of the opposition".

Not only that, but any military action by the UN will most likely be blocked by both China and Russia.

Russia's ambassador to NATO, Dmitry Rogozin, says that any military action against Libya without UN approval would be a violation of international law....

"If someone in Washington is seeking a blitzkrieg in Libya, it is a serious mistake because any use of military force outside the NATO responsibility zone will be considered a violation of international law."
But Libya is far from the only crisis point in the Middle East.

In fact, a much larger problem may be brewing in Saudi Arabia.

On Facebook, a "Day of Rage" is being hyped for March 11th. Other dates being promoted for "revolution" in Saudi Arabia include March 20th and March 21st.

But if Saudi Arabia sees the same kind of chaos that we have seen in other countries in the Middle East there is no telling how high the price of oil could go.

Could we see $125 oil?

Could we see $150 oil?

Could we see $200 oil?

Saudi Arabia exports more oil than anyone else in the world, so if their oil production gets interrupted it is going to have a dramatic impact on the global economy.

For example, are you ready to pay 5 dollars for a gallon of gasoline in the United States?

For decades, the entire globe has been blessed with very cheap oil and this has resulted in a massive economic boom.

But times are changing.

The economic situation over in Europe is already deteriorating and any additional bad news could plunge that entire continent into a major crisis. A recently released report from Ernst & Young is warning that if oil goes up to 150 dollars a barrel and it stays there, "at least" one eurozone country will default and the entire eurozone will be plunged back into recession.

A much higher price for oil would obviously not be good for the U.S. economy either. Do you remember what happened back in 2008? The price of oil hit a record high in June and then the entire financial system came unglued just a few months later.

But if we see a repeat of 2008 it may be a lot worse this time because the global financial system is now more unstable than ever.

The truth is that the entire world is still trying to recover from the last financial crisis. The Federal Reserve is pumping massive quantities of dollars into the U.S. economy in an attempt to stimulate it back to life, but so far it is not working too well.

The rest of the world does not appreciate all of this "money printing" and the inflation that this is causing is beginning to create massive imbalances on global financial markets.

The world is starting to lose faith in the U.S. dollar. Right now, approximately 85% of all foreign-exchange transactions in the world involve the U.S. dollar. Not only that, 60% of all the currency reserves in the world are in U.S. dollars. With the U.S. dollar rapidly becoming less stable, many are now wondering if it should continue to be used as the reserve currency of the world.

The truth is that if the U.S. dollar falls, it is going to create a tremendous amount of financial chaos in almost every nation on the globe.

Unfortunately, as I have written about so many times previously, the U.S. economy is dying. The U.S. government is absolutely drowning in debt, and leaders all over the planet are calling for the establishment of a new global reserve currency.

The days of the United States being the "economic engine of the planet" are rapidly coming to an end.

The U.S. economy is not ever going to fully "recover". In fact, the U.S. economy is basically "running on empty" at this point as Gerald Celente recently noted during an interview on RT television....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhoDLqwjzpY&feature=player_embedded

The entire U.S. economy was designed to operate on massive amounts of very cheap oil. Americans do more driving than anyone else in the world. Many of us are so lazy that we won't even walk to a store if it is on the other side of the parking lot.

If oil hits record levels in 2011, it is going to be a massive shock to the U.S. economic system. Any hopes for an "economic recovery" will be completely dashed.

In fact, if one wanted to "take down" the U.S. economy, driving up the price of oil would be a perfect way to do it.

And if one wanted to drive up the price of oil, a perfect way to do that would be to create all kinds of chaos in the Middle East.

So is all of this craziness that we are seeing in 2011 just a big coincidence or is there a reason why all of this is happening?

Webbot Clif High: 2012, 11:11, the Mayan Calendar and the Roman Catholic Church

from Wikipedia : Web Bot, or the Web Bot Project, refers to an Internet bot software program that is claimed to be able to predict future events by tracking keywords entered on the Internet. It was created in 1997, originally to predict stock market trends.[1] The creator of the Web Bot Project, Clif High, along with his associate George Ure, who call themselves "The Time Monks"[2], keep the technology and algorithms largely secret and sell the predictions via the website halfpasthuman.com.
Clif High has a patent on computer-assisted reading technology which allows reading from computer screens at up to 2000 words per minute. Reaching into other areas of hidden potential within language use by humans, he has been developing a system of software internet agents (like search engines use) and other proprietary processing methods to predict future events. The software project, begun in 1997, captures near-real-time changes in language patterns within internet discussions. Then, employing radical linguistic techniques of his own devising, he develops a model which anticipates future events with some seeming accuracy. The processing has, at its core, a method of assigning emotional values to complex content and time carry-values to predict changes in future behavior based on how people are using language now.

Since June 2001 when the work projected a major 'tipping point', that is a 'life-changing event' with aspects of 'military and accident' that would forever change the way we live to occur inside 90 days, the web bot project has continued to give archetype descriptors of future events such as the anthrax attack in Washington, the crash of American 587, the Columbia disaster, the Northeast Power outage, the Banda Aceh earthquake and most recently the flooding of the Red River. As a continuing project, reports are offered from the extracted archetype information at his web site, www.halfpasthuman.com.
Webbot predictions predictions about the economy, and U.S. and world events for the summer of 2010 and beyond . Here are some of the highlights of what they see coming:

* No warfare between Israel and Iran, at least not until November.
* Six very large earthquakes are yet to come during the rest of 2010.
* A major tipping point will occur between November 8th – 11th, 2010, followed by a 2-3 month release period. This tipping point appears to be US-centric, and could be a dramatic world-changing event like 9-11 that will have rippling after-effects. The collapse of the dollar might occur in November.
* From July 8th, 2010 onward, civil unrest will take place, possibly driven by food prices skyrocketing, and the devaluation of the dollar.
* A second depression, triggered by mass layoffs, bankruptcies, and the popping of the "derivatives bubble," will see people moving out of cities.
* After March 2011, the revolution wave will settle down into a period of reformation.
* A "data gap" has been found between early 2012 running through May 2013. One explanation is that "our civilization gets knocked back to a pre-electronic state," such as brought about by devastating solar activity.
* A new benign form of capitalism will emerge during 2017-2020. .

Crisis by Design - John Truman Wolfe

Crisis by Design John Truman Wolfe on Coast to Coast AM 14 June 2010

The Financial Coup : Coast to Coast AM 14 June 2010

John Truman Wolfe reveals the Root Causes of the Worldwide Economic Crash, why it happened, where it is headed and what you can do about it.
http://e">

Author and ex-banker John Truman Wolfe argued that the current world economic crisis is an international coup designed to take down the U.S. dollar and install a global financial machine. He named the Global Monetary Authority (GMA) as a "financial dictator of the planet" and the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Switzerland-- as the central bank for such entities as the Federal Reserve, Bank of England, and Bank of Japan. In fact, "all 55 central banks on the planet are members of and junior to the Bank of International Settlements," which he described as being above the law.

The idea of the amero replacing the dollar is a "red herring," said Wolfe-- "the global currency that is being rolled out as we speak is the SDR," a fiat currency of the International Monetary Fund. "The simple fact of the matter is that the fiscal economy of the United States has been dished off to a bunch of bankers in Basel, Switzerland," he declared. Their plan is to reduce the size of the US economy and remove the dollar as the world's reserve currency, he continued.

Further, the current crisis in such EU countries as Greece was planned so that the bankers can 'come to the rescue' and push for more international control mechanisms, he said. To counteract the international bankers, Wolfe suggested taking back the printing of money from the Federal Reserve (whom he called "fiscal vampires") and backing US currency with actual products and real estate. He also called for oversight of international banking organizations and their regulations.

Be Prepared For The Worst: Breaking Point 2010 – Top Trends

By Gerald Celente
12-16-9

KINGSTON, NY – The first decade of the 21st century is going out the way it came in with a bust and a bang.

The Great Recession is not over. There is no recovery. It’s a cover up. Expect another wave of terrorism. Possibly of 9/11 magnitude.

As well as challenges, also expect profitable and transformational social, health, environmental, entertainment, cultural, business and consumer trends to emerge in 2010.

· The Crash of 2010: The Bailout Bubble is about to burst. Be prepared for the onset of the Greatest Depression.

· Depression Uplift: The pursuit of elegance and affordable sophistication will raise spirits and profits.

· Terrorism 2010: Years of war in Afghanistan and Iraq and now Pakistan have intensified anti-American sentiment. 2010 will be the year of the lone-wolf, self-radicalized gunman.

· Neo-Survivalism: A new breed of survivalist is devising ingenious stratagems to beat the crumbling system. And, they’re not all heading for the hills with AK-47’s and pork & beans.

· Not Welcome Here: Fueled by fear and resentment, a global anti-immigration trend will gather force and serve as a major plank in building a new political party in the US.

· TB or Not TB: With two-thirds of Americans Too Big (TB) for their own good (and everyone else’s), 2010 will mark the outbreak of a “War on Fat,” providing a ton of business opportunities.

· Mothers of Invention: Taking off with the speed of the Internet revolution, “Technology for the Poor” will be a major trend in 2010, providing products and services for newly downscaled Western consumers and impoverished consumers everywhere.

· Not Made In China: A “Buy Local,” “My Country First” protectionist backlash will deliver a big “No” to unrestrained globalism and open solid niches for local and domestic manufacturers.

· The Next Big Thing: Just as the traditional print media (newspapers/magazines) were scooped by Internet competition, so too will new communication technologies herald the end of the TV networks as we know them.

Food Riots, Tax Rebellions By 2012...Trend forecaster, renowned for being accurate in the past, says

The man who predicted the 1987 stock market crash and the fall of the Soviet Union is now forecasting revolution in America, food riots and tax rebellions - all within four years, while cautioning that putting food on the table will be a more pressing concern than buying Christmas gifts by 2012.

Gerald Celente, the CEO of Trends Research Institute, is renowned for his accuracy in predicting fut More..ure world and economic events, which will send a chill down your spine considering what he told Fox News this week.

Celente says that by 2012 America will become an undeveloped nation, that there will be a revolution marked by food riots, squatter rebellions, tax revolts and job marches, and that holidays will be more about obtaining food, not gifts.

"We're going to see the end of the retail Christmas....we're going to see a fundamental shift take place....putting food on the table is going to be more important that putting gifts under the Christmas tree," said Celente, adding that the situation would be "worse than the great depression".

"America's going to go through a transition the likes of which no one is prepared for," said Celente, noting that people's refusal to acknowledge that America was even in a recession highlights how big a problem denial is in being ready for the true scale of the crisis.

Celente, who successfully predicted the 1997 Asian Currency Crisis, the subprime mortgage collapse and the massive devaluation of the U.S. dollar, told UPI in November last year that the following year would be known as "The Panic of 2008," adding that "giants (would) tumble to their deaths," which is exactly what we have witnessed with the collapse of Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns and others. He also said that the dollar would eventually be devalued by as much as 90 per cent.

The consequence of what we have seen unfold this year would lead to a lowering in living standards, Celente predicted a year ago, which is also being borne out by plummeting retail sales figures.

The prospect of revolution was a concept echoed by a British Ministry of Defence report last year, which predicted that within 30 years, the growing gap between the super rich and the middle class, along with an urban underclass threatening social order would mean, "The world's middle classes might unite, using access to knowledge, resources and skills to shape transnational processes in their own class interest," and that, "The middle classes could become a revolutionary class."

In a separate recent interview, Celente went further on the subject of revolution in America.

"There will be a revolution in this country," he said. "It’s not going to come yet, but it’s going to come down the line and we’re going to see a third party and this was the catalyst for it: the takeover of Washington, D. C., in broad daylight by Wall Street in this bloodless coup. And it will happen as conditions continue to worsen."

"The first thing to do is organize with tax revolts. That’s going to be the big one because people can’t afford to pay more school tax, property tax, any kind of tax. You’re going to start seeing those kinds of protests start to develop."

"It’s going to be very bleak. Very sad. And there is going to be a lot of homeless, the likes of which we have never seen before. Tent cities are already sprouting up around the country and we’re going to see many more."

"We’re going to start seeing huge areas of vacant real estate and squatters living in them as well. It’s going to be a picture the likes of which Americans are not going to be used to. It’s going to come as a shock and with it, there’s going to be a lot of crime. And the crime is going to be a lot worse than it was before because in the last 1929 Depression, people’s minds weren’t wrecked on all these modern drugs – over-the-counter drugs, or crystal meth or whatever it might be. So, you have a huge underclass of very desperate people with their minds chemically blown beyond anybody’s comprehension."
