The same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven

26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

32 Remember Lot's wife.

33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

The Everlasting Gospel

6And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

7Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

8And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

9And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Fire and Brimstone

I've often heard certain Gospel preachers referred to as Preachers of Fire and Brimstone.
Our Lord Jesus the Christ, stated that "the (same) day that Lot left Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all".

Now a days, this warning from Jesus is ignored in favor of smooth preaching (like smooth Jazz), feel-good sermons that don't offend anyone, instead they encourage people to continue their sinful ways, but only modify their behavior; change their attitudes to a more positive one so they can look forward to a prosperous, more fulfilling life. This is one reason why Tele-Evangelists are so popular with those that claim to be christians.

In a time when people are looking forward to 'celebrating' the winter solstice; When many are advocating in the courts and in the media for the rights of Marriage of people of the same gender; When children and youth are being indoctrinated in humanistic socialistic ideology, advancing a "Global" (Godless) consciousness; When Safe Sex is presented as a means to prevent communicable sexual diseases; When abortion is considered healthcare; At a time when anything goes, and the only thing not accepted is truth; It is time for remembering Jesus words of warning about these days resembling those of Lot's day. Fire and Brimstone is the type of message required for this time to shaken awake the masses that are snoring while they walk among us. Fire and Brimstone is what will finally awaken most of humanity; Yet, then it will be too late to heed!
