EXPOSED: Free Your Mind | Satanic Deception
The devil told Eve in the garden of Eden that obedience to God was a restriction, and if she would disobey Him by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, she would be liberated, and she would free her mind! There is nothing new under the sun. Satan is using this same old lie to deceive homosexuals, drug users, and even some Christians that their disobedient lifestyles will bring them freedom and happiness. Watch this video to learn more!

Israel Delusion - Steve Wohlberg
Steve Wohlberg - Israel delusion

Newsweek Magazine, Nov 1999 says: The predominant emphasis in Christian prophecy is on the return of the Jews to the Holy Land and the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Temple. This is what Christian generally believes. They look at the Middle East and looking for this to happen. Is this what the Bible prophecies will happen at the end of time?

The Crowning Act of Deception
Chap. 268 - The Crowning Act of Deception
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Rev. 3:10.
As the second appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ draws near, satanic agencies are moved from beneath. Satan will not only appear as a human being, but he will personate Jesus Christ; and the world who has rejected the truth will receive him as the Lord of lords and King of kings.
The wrath of Satan increases as his time grows short, and his work of deceit and destruction will reach its culmination in the time of trouble. . . .
As the crowning act in the great drama of deception, Satan himself will personate Christ. The church has long professed to look to the Saviour's advent as the consummation of her hopes. Now the great deceiver will make it appear that Christ has come. In different parts of the earth, Satan will manifest himself among men as a majestic being of dazzling brightness, resembling the description of the Son of God given by John in the Revelation. Revelation 1:13-15. The glory that surrounds him is unsurpassed by anything that mortal eyes have yet beheld. The shout of triumph rings out upon the air: "Christ has come! Christ has come!" The people prostrate themselves in adoration before him, while he lifts up his hands and pronounces a blessing upon them, as Christ blessed His disciples when He was upon the earth. His voice is soft and subdued, yet full of melody. In gentle, compassionate tones he presents some of the same gracious, heavenly truths which the Saviour uttered; he heals the diseases of the people, and then, in his assumed character of Christ, he claims to have changed the Sabbath to Sunday, and commands all to hallow the day which he has blessed. He declares that those who persist in keeping holy the seventh day are blaspheming his name by refusing to listen to his angels sent to them with light and truth. This is the strong, almost overmastering delusion. Like the Samaritans who were deceived by Simon Magus, the multitudes, from the least to the greatest, give heed to these sorceries, saying: This is "the great power of God." Acts. 8:10.
But the people of God will not be misled. The teachings of this false christ are not in accordance with the Scriptures.

A Firm Platform
The destiny of souls hangs upon the manner in which they are received." I was again brought down through these messages, and saw how dearly the people of God had purchased their experience. It had been obtained through much suffering and severe conflict. God had led them along step by step, until He had placed them upon a solid, immovable platform. I saw individuals approach the platform and examine the foundation. Some with rejoicing immediately stepped upon it. Others commenced to find fault with the foundation. They wished improvements made, and then the platform would be more perfect, and the people much happier. Some stepped off the platform to examine it and declared it to be laid wrong. But I saw that nearly all stood firm upon the platform and exhorted those who had stepped off to cease their complaints; for God was the Master Builder, and they were fighting against Him. They recounted the wonderful work of God, which had led them to the firm platform, and in union raised their eyes to heaven and with a loud voice glorified God. This affected some of those who had complained and left the platform, and they with humble look again stepped upon it.
I was pointed back to the proclamation of the first advent of Christ. John was sent in the spirit and power of Elijah to prepare the way of Jesus. Those who rejected the testimony of John were not benefited by the teachings of Jesus. Their opposition to the message that foretold His coming placed them where they could not readily receive the strongest evidence that He was the Messiah. Satan led on those who rejected the message of John to go still farther, to reject and crucify Christ. In doing this they placed themselves where they could not receive the blessing on the day of Pentecost, which would have taught them the way into the heavenly sanctuary. The rending of the veil of the temple showed that the Jewish sacrifices and ordinances would no longer be received. The great Sacrifice had been offered and had been accepted, and the Holy Spirit which descended on the day of Pentecost carried the minds of the disciples from the earthly sanctuary to the heavenly, where Jesus had entered by His own blood, to shed upon His disciples the benefits of His atonement. But the Jews were left in total darkness. They lost all the light which they might have had upon the plan of salvation, and still trusted in their useless sacrifices and offerings. The heavenly sanctuary had taken the place of the earthly, yet they had no knowledge of the change. Therefore they could not be benefited by the mediation of Christ in the holy place.
Many look with horror at the course of the Jews in rejecting and crucifying Christ; and as they read the history of His shameful abuse, they think they love Him, and would not have denied Him as did Peter, or crucified Him as did the Jews. But God who reads the hearts of all, has brought to the test that love for Jesus which they professed to feel. All heaven watched with the deepest interest the reception of the first angel's message. But many who professed to love Jesus, and who shed tears as they read the story of the cross, derided the good news of His coming. Instead of receiving the message with gladness, they declared it to be a delusion. They hated those who loved His appearing and shut them out of the churches. Those who rejected the first message could not be benefited by the second; neither were they benefited by the midnight cry, which was to prepare them to enter with Jesus by faith into the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary. And by rejecting the two former messages, they have so darkened their understanding that they can see no light in the third angel's message, which shows the way into the most holy place. I saw that as the Jews crucified Jesus, so the nominal churches had crucified these messages, and therefore they have no knowledge of the way into the most holy, and they cannot be benefited by the intercession of Jesus there. Like the Jews, who offered their useless sacrifices, they offer up their useless prayers to the apartment which Jesus has left; and Satan, pleased with the deception, assumes a religious character, and leads the minds of these professed Christians to himself, working with his power, his signs and lying wonders, to fasten them in his snare. Some he deceives in one way, and some in another. He has different delusions prepared to affect different minds. Some look with horror upon one deception, while they readily receive another. Satan deceives some with Spiritualism. He also comes as an angel of light and spreads his influence over the land by means of false reformations. The churches are elated, and consider that God is working marvelously for them, when it is the work of another spirit. The excitement will die away and leave the world and the church in a worse condition than before.
I saw that God has honest children among the nominal Adventists and the fallen churches, and before the plagues shall be poured out, ministers and people will be called out from these churches and will gladly receive the truth. Satan knows this; and before the loud cry of the third angel is given, he raises an excitement in these religious bodies, that those who have rejected the truth may think that God is with them. He hopes to deceive the honest and lead them to think that God is still working for the churches. But the light will shine, and all who are honest will leave the fallen churches, and take their stand with the remnant. .

"And that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition"
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

Obama's Reelection Validates America's Spiritual Apostasy and Moral Decline
By William Owens, Jr.
February 16, 2013
NewsWithViews.com
Nothing is more repulsive to God than having the highest ranks of a nation’s leadership – a nation that He providentially brought forth – refuse to acknowledge the continual need for His wisdom, mercy and guidance in every sector of society. Even worse is to persist in rejecting Him in the midst of dismal failure, thus confirming that such a nation has utterly rejected God.
The recent presidential inauguration was a present-day rebellion of kings and nations who reigned before us. It is an affront to a holy God. The event was replete with pious pomp, snobbery, and scoffs at God’s very existence, as demonstrated by Obama’s praise as the Lesbian and Gay Band Association marched by during the Inaugural Parade and his public statement against traditional marriage when he advocated same sex relationships. “Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law," he said during his inaugural address, "for if we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal as well." Vice President Biden also confirmed this fist-to-God arrogance by declaring, “I spent too much time with all of you not to know you feel it with every fiber in your being that there’s nothing – nothing – this country is incapable of.”
While the inauguration of “King” Obama was an event celebrated within the natural realm of America, it was also a clear message released within the realm of the spiritual: JUDGMENT. You see, Christians might be mocked and called “weird,” but historical documents and evidence prove that we have always been correct regarding history. Because there is no intelligent response or historic evidence to argue otherwise, the critics must claim, “He casteth out devils with devils.” This truth goes back to biblical times when the Pharisees were confronted with the truth of Jesus’ holiness. The evidence was overwhelming. He could work miracles, heal the sick, feed the multitudes, and even resurrect the dead. The only way they could feel justified in their rebellious attitude toward Jesus laying claim as God’s son was to demonize and eventually kill him (or so they thought.) Their illogical response was, “He casteth out devils with devils.” They refused to acknowledge Him as God, and thus, rejected their godly heritage to the detriment of their tiny nation, Israel. Remember, He laid down His life and then He rose again.
Today, the only way non-believers in America can justify the rejection of our godly heritage and the hand of providence on America’s DNA is by reverting to the same course of action: accuse the godly of phobias, narrow-mindedness, and being out of touch with the feelings of others. Those who refuse to compromise with historic evidence make powerful claims that a new day of tolerance – of the need to get along – has arrived. They scrub away historic evidence of the fall of previous nations when immorality, rejection of God from the Public Square, and homosexuality became validated by law. But alas, it will not work, no matter how many toasts are given and executive orders are enacted while good men do nothing. Just as Jesus raised the dead to show that He had life in himself, God will judge America to show that our country’s life has always been in Him.
History speaks clearly about the presence of God in America’s origins.
The Continental Congress, in its first session on September 6, 1774, passed this resolution: "Resolved, that the Rev. Mr. Duché be desired to open Congress tomorrow morning with prayer, at Carpenter's Hall, at 9 o'clock."
The following day, Duché's prayer pleaded: "O Lord! our heavenly Father, high and mighty, King of kings, and Lord of lords, who dost from thy throne behold all the dwellers on earth, and reignest with power supreme and uncontrolled over all kingdoms, empires, and governments. Look down in mercy, we beseech thee, on these our American States who have fled to thee from the rod of the oppressor, and thrown themselves on thy gracious protection, desiring to be henceforth dependent only on thee … All this we ask in the name, and through the merits of Jesus Christ thy Son and our Savior. Amen" (Thatcher's Military Biography, p. 121).
Benjamin Franklin stated in a speech to the Continental Convention of 1787: "We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings, that 'except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain who build it.' I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without his concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel." (The Works of Benjamin Franklin, by John Bigelow, p. 377)
Decades later, John Adams confirmed his conviction of God’s eternal footprint on America, the original intent of those formative years, in an 1813 letter to Thomas Jefferson: “The general Principles, on which the Fathers Achieved Independence, were the only Principles in which that beautiful Assembly of young Gentlemen could Unite…Now I will avow, that I then believed, and now believe, that those general Principles of Christianity, are as eternal and immutable, as the Existence and Attributes of God" (John Adams to Thomas Jefferson, June 28, 1813, from Quincy in The Adams-Jefferson Letters).
Even today, many people see the presence of God in our origins. In an online commentary dated July 2, 2009, John Miller states, “America's Declaration of Independence is as much a declaration of dependence on Divine Providence as it is a declaration of independence from an oppressive monarch.”
Truth is not subjective to our interpretations. Gravity does not require a vote to work; if you throw a rock off a cliff, it will soar downward, no matter if we want it to or not. That’s gravity. Likewise, truth is not what we think it to be, want it to be or will it to be, and over the next four years, prophecy will prove that truth belongs to God alone. It will be evident that it was God who gave birth to America. It was God who inspired our founders. Men, who, despite their differences, agreed that unless God saved them from tyrannical government, they would be once again enslaved, designed our country.
America did not come about through subjective thinking or reasoning. It came about through prayer, humility and the good will of good men who desired a country where they could freely worship God and live morally sound lives. They created a country for which a constitution was devised to guide morally conscious people – people able to conduct themselves through the construct of conscience and the basic principle of doing unto others as we would have others to do unto us. Such high aspirations did not simply manifest from under man’s filthy feet. They emanated forth from the hearts of men who had been touched by God Almighty, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Today, spiritual apostasy is upon America and we are facing judgment. Our leaders have forsaken the God who secured our freedoms. Before we had a constitution, we had the Holy Bible and the Judeo-Christian faith that brought our founding fathers to this land, guided them, and granted them the wisdom to frame documents that have shaped our country: the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution.
However, God has been ousted, and with Him, all that we have enjoyed these last 237 years will surely follow close behind if we don’t repent and truly amend our ways as individuals and collectively as a nation. It will be the clearest message America has ever experienced at the very cost of the freedoms, wealth, and favor we have enjoyed. Perhaps, it is time. The inauguration of Barack Obama is perhaps the clearest message to America that God has decided, because the people have decided. The people have chosen their “king” and as God told the prophet Samuel, “They have not rejected you; they have rejected me” (1 Samuel 8:7).
This brings me to the issue of spiritual leadership in America. I often wonder, “why the leaders of Christendom today are not speaking directly to power specifically regarding the spiritual decay that ?” As we witness the lack of specifics from our political leadership, we must not forget their spiritual counterparts. Why are the mega-ministries so careful as to not speak specific truth to power. Speak truth to those who are allowing laws to redefine our spiritual identity?
In an interview, TD Jakes said that it is "out of [his] lane" to speak on the topic of gun control, he believes "something has to be done, not only for those that are mentally ill, but I also I think that we have to be careful about people who are under such stress today that they start out well but they don't end up well." Read more here.
Joel Olsten on the today’s show takes a I don’t know approach. When "Today" host Matt Lauer asked Osteen if he believes it is his responsibility to take a stand regarding guns in the U.S., Osteen responded: "I really don't Matt, because political issues divide us. For what I'm doing, I'm trying to reach as many people as possible. There are good people on both sides of the aisle, and I don't know what the best answer there is either, but I just try to guide them and give them hope in this time of need," Osteen added. Read more here.
I have listened to comments of a few leaders of mega ministries and it is my opinion that they are falling short of speaking specific truth to power to offer solutions, not mere sound bite safe answers that will not provoke change. Such leaders need to speak truth to a point of exposing the real problems of our nation, but instead, they remain in a “safe zone.” Why should we take them seriously? Is there any noteworthy plea that convicts and drives people to their knees, or at least captures the mind to reconsider the direction that our political leaders are taking us? There appears to be lacking a message of, “America is in trouble and this is why.”
Mega ministry leaders are invited on national news and have a stage to speak truth, but instead, they play it safe. While I cannot judge their hearts and have not sat down with them one on one, I believe they can do more. A lot more.
Sad to say, many ministries, by their silence have sided with the gospel of inclusion and has chosen the path of peace where there is no peace to be had. They are the teachers of an age in which the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been saturated with compromise and lies.
Furthermore, the black preachers and churches that have immortalized Barack Obama because of his pigmentation have been a disgrace to God’s kingdom and a stumbling block to those whose souls they have been entrusted to lead. If they think they will not have to be accountable for being ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, siding with a mere man who has legalized sacrificing the unborn on the altars of Baal and the public rejection of biblically-defined marriage, they are truly blind. This seems to demonstrate that perhaps they were not even called by God or they, too, have rejected him. Even those who choose to remain in a political party that publically rejected God from its platform refuse to blush at their own apostate hearts. They may not believe it today, but there will be consequences, because God is just and will not be mocked.
I miss the days of fiery preachers who could not care less what the government thought of their non-profit status – preachers like Jimmy Swaggart, who would hold his Bible up high, declare the righteousness of God, and warn America to stay on the narrow path! It worked. No doubt, his fall from grace was tragic, yet it does not nullify the truth he preached, and by the grace of God, he continues to preach to this day.
I have no doubt that there is a remnant left amongst the faithful, and to that remnant, I say, “the days ahead will be a trial of your faith such as you have never known. It is imperative that you settle in your heart and mind that you will hold to God’s unchanging hand and not forsake His word as we witness a transition in America that is already unfolding before us.” While our government’s leaders believe they can regulate men’s hearts by taking away guns and create peace by legalizing gay marriage, it will become evident that it cannot. Killings will only increase and immorality will sink to new lows.
While our politicians on both side of the aisle argue, debate, and avoid responsibility, I, as both a minister of the gospel and a prophetic voice, I warn those on Capitol Hill to make an appeal to God for mercy. Run to Him. Join hands with godly men and women, and run to the God who made the hill from which you govern. Repent and God might turn away the judgment that you and others have brought upon this nation and that we as a people have asked for, because we have chosen ungodly leaders. We are reaping the godless country we deserve. Only an appeal to God can stave off the ravages of the enemy and turn the tide that our land might be healed. It’s our choice as a people and a nation to fully repent and leave the outcome to Him.

The Error of Preterism
"Preterists" believe that all Bible prophecy is history; that most of it took place in 70 AD with the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans. They suggest the Tribulation was the persecution of the saints and Nero was the antichrist. At the heart of the doctrine is that prophecy was declared and destined to be fulfilled within the generation of Messiah Yeshua's earthly ministry. All references in the Bible to the "last days" refer to the "last days" of Israel, which means that today Israel supposedly has no more relevance than the lost continent of Atlantis. The "New Jerusalem" is the Church now and forever, according to Preterists. |
Preterism consists of "full" and "partial" Preterists. Partial Preterists actually consider much of what "full" Preterists teach to be heretical. Full Preterists insist that "Jesus" returned "in spirit" in 70 AD and nothing is future. "We're in "the New Heavens and New Earth" right now and satan is bound! But to both full and partial Preterists, hardly anything is taken literally; most all is allegorical or symbolic, particularly the Book of Revelation. To all Preterists, the Olivet Discourse is not about the coming of Messiah, but about the destruction of Jerusalem. Revelation was not written in 95 AD but much earlier according to full and partial Preterists.... Partial Preterists do believe in a Second Coming and the resurrection of believers (but not in the Rapture), along with a "Judgment Seat of Christ." They do not believe in a literal Millennium, Battle of Armageddon, literal antichrist, or a role for national Israel. Prominent partial Preterists include Gary DeMar, R.C. Sproul, Ken Gentry, and "The Bible Answerman", Hank Hanegraaff. Preterism became prominent thanks to a Jesuit priest, Luis de Alcazar, who sought to defend the Catholic Church against attacks of the Reformers. He sought to defend the Roman Church from claims about Catholic apostasy. The Preterism taught today, however, only became popular in the late 20th Century. Some Preterist teachings include the following:
Since, according to Preterists, "Jesus" isn't coming back, one has to ask: What about scriptures such as Acts 1:11, "And they said to them, Galilean men, why are you standing and staring into heaven? This Y'shua who was taken up from you to heaven, likewise he will come just as you have seen him who ascended into heaven. This should be a challenge to the "full Preterists" who believe He came back "in spirit" in 70 AD and that's it for His return! Also, the Jews as a nation did not turn to Messiah in 70 AD as prophesied in Zechariah 12:10.... Also, if all these events took place in 70 AD, one must ask: When were the nations judged as described in Matthew 25:31-46? They weren't judged back then because this is future.... As for Nero - he couldn't have been the antichrist, as he died in 68 AD before the destruction of Jerusalem. He was a whimpy emperor though evil, indeed, but he doesn't come close to being the "King of fierce countenance" of Daniel 8:23 and he made no covenant with Israel, Daniel 9:26, 27. Dispensationalists believe he will be destroyed by the King of kings, but Nero committed suicide. Before that, he issued no "mark" and people could buy and sell. He sat in no Temple declaring himself God, demanding he be worshipped (2 Thess. 2:4). All Preterists deny there will be future Temples such as the Tribulation Temple and Millennial Temple.... The vials, bowls, seals, and trumpet judgments of Revelation are all symbolic to all Preterists. Thus the carnage (and victory) of Revelation is overlooked and written off. How can people with this theology accept that all of the prophecies of Yeshua's first coming were fulfilled literally but Second Coming verses must be symbolic? Are we permitted to pick and choose like this and remain with any hermeneutical credibility and accuracy? Folks, Revelation was written in about 95 AD and not before 70 AD. It's therefore obvious that Preterism is just another teaching that is filled with doctrinal error and should not be taken seriously. It takes our eyes off of our "blessed hope" - the glorious return of Yeshua who was YHWH in the Flesh who will take believers out of our world of pain and sorrow. Satan has definitely not been bound yet, but he will be and we can be sure that television cameras will be there to capture the moment - along with the moment when the King of kings will inaugurate the greatest Kingdom the world has even known! |

Re-Judaizing Jesus
Illustration by Christoph Nieman for TIME
Recently a popular blogger — let's call him Rabbi Ben — zinged the scholarship of a man we shall call Rabbi Rob. R. Ben claimed R. Rob did not "understand the difference between Judaism prior to the two Jewish wars in the 1st and 2nd centuries A.D. and later Mishnaic and Talmudic Judaism." He helpfully provided a syllabus.
Actually, neither man is a rabbi. (Sorry.) Ben Witherington is a Methodist New Testament scholar, and Rob Bell a rising Michigan megapastor. Yet each regards sources like the Mishnah and Rabbi Akiva as vital to understanding history's best-known Jew: Jesus.
This is seismic. For centuries, the discipline of Christian "Hebraics" consisted primarily of Christians cherry-picking Jewish texts to support the traditionally assumed contradiction between the Jews — whose alleged dry legalism contributed to their fumbling their ancient tribal covenant with God — and Jesus, who personally embodied God's new covenant of love. But today seminaries across the Christian spectrum teach, as Vanderbilt University New Testament scholar Amy-Jill Levine says, that "if you get the [Jewish] context wrong, you will certainly get Jesus wrong."
The shift came in stages: first a brute acceptance that Jesus was born a Jew and did Jewish things; then admission that he and his interpreter Paul saw themselves as Jews even while founding what became another faith; and today, recognition of what the Rev. Bruce Chilton, author of Rabbi Jesus, calls Jesus' passionate dedication "to Jewish ideas of his day" on everything from ritual purity to the ideal of the kingdom of God — ideas he rewove but did not abandon.
What does this mean, practically? At times the resulting adjustment seems simple. For example, Bell thinks he knows the mysterious words Jesus wrote in the dust while defending the adulteress ("He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone," etc.). By Bell's calculation, that showdown occurred at the same time as religious Jews' yearly reading of the prophet Jeremiah's warning that "those who turn from [God] will be written in the dust because they have forsaken [him]." Thus Jesus wrote the crowd's names to warn that their lack of compassion alienated their (and his) God.
A trickier revision for readers involves Paul's Letter to the Romans, forever a key Christian text on sin and Christ's salvific grace. Yet this reading necessitates skipping over what seems like extraneous material in Chapters 9 through 11, which are about the Jews. Increasingly, says Jason Byassee, an editor at the Christian Century,, scholars now read Romans through those chapters, as a musing by a lifelong Jew on how God can fulfill his biblical covenant with Israel even if it does not accept His son. Byassee the theologian agrees. But as a Methodist pastor, he frets that Romans "is no longer really about Gentile Christians. How do you preach it?"
That's not a frivolous query. Ideally, the reassessment should increase both Jewish-Christian amity and gospel clarity, things that won't happen if regular Christians feel that in rediscovering Jesus the Jew, they have lost Christ. Yet Bell finds this particular genie so logically powerful that he has no wish to rebottle it. Once in, he says, "you're in deep. You're hooked. 'Cause you can't ever read it the same way again."

I did not include this article here for accuracy, but instead to illustrate a strange ever increasing trend of re-interpreting the Gospel through the prism of a Messianic perspective; Which in my opinion is a deadly mistake.
WE have not been misled in following the well worn paths of the Faith once delivered to the saints. Don't underestimate that for a minute.
Are we now to re-examine every principle of our faith because some Rabbi says so?
I have but one master, the Lord Jesus Christ, who once said:
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Matthew 23:37-39.

FBI warns of "Lone Wolf" Norway-style attacks

In The horrors of the Norway massacre committed by self-professed lone gunman Anders Behring Breivik could happen here, the FBI warns. (CBS News)
(CBS News) Although there is some skepticism to the contrary, it appears the Norway massacre self-confessed perpetrator, Anders Breivik, acted alone.
He was an angry, delusional young man with a murderous bent, and the FBI wants American law enforcement to be aware that there is a possibility of something similar happening here.
In a joint FBI/Department of Homeland Security memo (PDF), it states:
"Small-arms operations could be employed through a range of tactics from a lone offender--as illustrated by the recent 22 July 2011 lone shooter attack that took place in Norway--to a coordinated small-unit attack involving several operatives. Recent lone offender attacks and plots in the United States and abroad illustrate the effectiveness of the small-arms tactic and the need for continued vigilance and awareness of this tactic. Attacks by lone offenders--which by definition lack co-conspirators, and therefore provide fewer opportunities for detection--may be more difficult for law enforcement and homeland security authorities to disrupt."
Examples cited by the memo include the soldier from Fort Hood arrested on July 27 of this year with materials to produce a bomb; The lone gunmen who killed two U.S. Airmen at the Frankfurt, Germany, airport on March 2 of this year; and the Fort Hood shooter, Maj. Nadal Hassan, who killed 12 with two pistols in a late 2009 rampage.
The domestic "Lone Wolf" threat is far from limited to Islamic-linked individuals, too. As reported by "60 Minutes," the "Sovereign Citizens" movement - a loosely knit group that doesn't pay taxes, carry driver's licenses or hold Social Security cards - has shown a violent and sometimes murderous dislike of law enforcement. Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh had only two known co-conspirators.
The use of small, tactical teams - or even well-armed individuals - is also increasingly employed by foreign terrorist groups, and has been used to deadly affect throughout the Middle East and other danger zones.
The overall rise in such cases led the FBI and DHS to conclude "that transnational terrorist groups and homegrown violent extremists (HVEs) could employ small-unit assault tactics in the United States."
Some of the steps they recommend law enforcement use to prevent such incidents include randomizing security patrols in potential target areas, increased reporting of suspicious activity, and conducting increased sweeps for explosive materials.
"We face an increased challenge in detecting terrorist plots underway by individuals or small groups acting independently or with only tenuous ties to foreign handlers," the FBI/DHS memo states. "Recent events have illustrated that state, local, tribal, and private sector partners play a critical role in identifying suspicious activities--such as unusual purchases of or inquiries about firearms, gunpowder, or ammunition--and raising the awareness of federal counterterrorism officials."

Catholic Prophecy (Their version of End Times)
Here's a list of end-times events according to a Roman Catholic blog:
- The Muslim-Marxist Alliance in Europe will grow and be highly successful. It will also enjoy success in other parts of the world as well. Russia will return to full communism (in a slightly different form) and make an alliance with the world's Muslims.
- The European Muslim-Marxist Alliance will eventually culminate in a violent revolution that will span the entire European continent.
- The Vatican will be violently overrun, and the pope will be forced to flee Rome. He will eventually die in exile - assassinated!
- God will intervene in the situation, with a supernatural disaster (resulting in 3 days of darkness) that will kill a significant portion of the world's population and significantly weaken Muslims and Marxists around the world.
- A new pope will be elected in exile, and he will revive the old French monarchy by crowning a Christian king against the will of the people of France. (Yes, the French royal family still exists, but it is unclear at this time who has right to the throne. Currently there are two valid pretenders.)
- The Muslim-Marxist revolution will be short lived, as this new Christian monarch fights back, and conquers Europe by military conquest, establishing a Christian Empire spanning from Madrid to Jerusalem - perhaps even larger - some say he will conquer the whole world.
- Russia will be converted back to Christianity en mass, and the Orthodox churches will be reunited with the Roman Catholic Church, and all non-Catholic (protestant, reformed, evangelical and fundamentalist) churches will cease to exist.
- A period of peace will follow (a minimum of 25 years, but some say multiple centuries), in which Christianity will have it's last great era of orthodoxy and evangelism before the rise of Antichrist and the Last Days. The world will be ruled by Christian monarchy, and great waves of evangelism will cover the earth, converting most of the world, as Pope John Paul II alluded to with his prophetic utterance "springtime of evangelism."
- Some time after the great French monarch dies, and perhaps after his successors die as well, the world will reach a point where things will be thrown into chaos. The world will be divided among multiple kings. Antichrist will come, and he will assume world power. He will be Jewish, and rise to power in the Middle East. He will be hailed as the Jewish messiah, rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem, and establish his throne there. He will subdue the world, and teach that all religions are false, except Judaism and perhaps Noahidism, in which he will mysteriously be allied with what remains of the Muslims.
- Then after ruling mildly for some time, and rebuilding Jerusalem into a thriving metropolis, and capitol of the world, he shall persecute Christians severely, and then demand to be worshiped as God.
- At that point God will send Enoch and Elijah back to reason with the Jewish people, and they will reject him and convert to Christianity en mass. Eventually the Antichrist will be killed, and a very short time (unknown exactly how long) after that Jesus Christ will supernaturally return in the flesh. He will come in the clouds, to raise the dead, judge the nations, and bring our world to it's end. Thus begins ETERNITY!

Our Safety Against Delusions
Faith in a lie will not have a sanctifying influence upon the life or character. No error is truth, or can be made truth by repetition, or by faith in it. Sincerity will never save a soul from the consequences of believing an error. Without sincerity there is no true religion, but sincerity in a false religion will never save a man. I may be perfectly sincere in following a wrong road, but that will not make it the right road, or bring me to the place I wished to reach. The Lord does not want us to have a blind credulity, and call that the faith that sanctifies. The truth is the principle that sanctifies, and therefore it becomes us to know what is truth. We must compare spiritual things with spiritual. We must prove all things, but hold fast only that which is good, that which bears the divine credentials, which lays before us the true motives and principles which should prompt us to action.--Letter 12, 1890. {2SM 56.1}
An Outward Transformation of Character
As long as individuals are content with a theory of truth, and are yet lacking in the daily operation of the Spirit of God upon the heart, which is manifested in outward transformation of character, they are cutting themselves
57
off from the qualification that would fit them for greater efficiency in the Master's work. Those who are devoid of the Holy Spirit cannot be faithful watchmen upon the walls of Zion; for they are blind to the work that ought to be done, and do not give the trumpet a certain sound. {2SM 56.2}
The baptism of the Holy Ghost as on the day of Pentecost will lead to a revival of true religion and to the performance of many wonderful works. Heavenly intelligences will come among us, and men will speak as they are moved upon by the Holy Spirit of God. But should the Lord work upon men as He did on and after the day of Pentecost, many who now claim to believe the truth would know so very little of the operation of the Holy Spirit that they would cry, "Beware of fanaticism." They would say of those who were filled with the Spirit, "These men are full of new wine." {2SM 57.1}
The time is not far off now when men will want a much closer relation to Christ, a much closer union with His Holy Spirit, than ever they have had, or will have, unless they give up their will and their way, and submit to God's will and God's way. The great sin of those who profess to be Christians is that they do not open the heart to receive the Holy Spirit. When souls long after Christ, and seek to become one with Him, then those who are content with the form of godliness, exclaim "Be careful, do not go to extremes." When the angels of heaven come among us, and work through human agents, there will be solid, substantial conversions, after the order of the conversions after the day of Pentecost. {2SM 57.2}
Now brethren, be careful and do not go into or try to create human excitement. But while we should be careful not to go into human excitement, we should not be among those who will raise inquiries and cherish doubts in reference to the work of the Spirit of God; for there will be those who will question and criticize when the Spirit of God takes possession of men and women, because their own hearts are not moved, but are cold and unimpressible. --Letter 27, 1894.

Need for Understanding the Doctrine
Rebellion and apostasy are in the very air we breathe. We shall be affected by it unless we by faith hang our helpless souls upon Christ. If men are so easily misled, how will they stand when Satan shall personate Christ, and work miracles? Who will be unmoved by his misrepresentations, professing to be Christ when it is only Satan assuming the person of Christ, and apparently working the works of Christ? What will hold God's people from giving their allegiance to false christs? "Go ye not ... after them" (Luke 21:8). {2SM 58.1}
The doctrines must be plainly understood. The men accepted to teach the truth must be anchored; then their vessel will hold against storm and tempest, because the anchor holds them firmly. The deceptions will increase.-- Letter 1, 1897. {2SM 58.2}
Satan is now more earnestly engaged in playing the game of life for souls than at any previous time; and unless we are constantly on our guard, he will establish in our hearts, pride, love of self, love of the world, and many other evil traits. He will also use every possible device to unsettle our faith in God and in the truths of His Word. If we have not a deep experience in the things of God, if we have not a thorough knowledge of His Word, we shall be beguiled to our ruin by the errors and sophistries of the enemy. False doctrines will sap the foundations of many, because they have not learned to discern truth from error. Our only safeguard against the wiles of Satan is to study the Scriptures diligently, to have an intelligent understanding of the reasons of our faith, and faithfully to perform every known duty. The indulgence of one known sin will cause weakness and darkness, and subject us to fierce temptation.--The Review and Herald, Nov. 19, 1908. {2SM 58.3}
Look Constantly to Jesus
Under the showers of the latter rain the inventions of man, the human machinery, will at times be swept away, the boundary of man's authority will be as broken reeds,
59
and the Holy Spirit will speak through the living, human agent, with convincing power. No one then will watch to see if the sentences are well rounded off, if the grammar is faultless. The living water will flow in God's own channels. {2SM 58.4}
But let us be careful now not to exalt men, their sayings, and doings; and let not anyone consider it a grand point to have a startling experience to relate; for here is a fruitful field where credence will be given to unworthy persons. Young men and women will be lifted up, and will regard themselves as wonderfully favored, called to do some great thing. There will be conversions many, after a peculiar order, but they will not bear the divine signature. Immorality will come in, and extravagance, and many will make shipwreck of faith. {2SM 59.1}
Our only safety is in keeping fast hold of Jesus. Never are we to lose sight of Him. He says, "Without me ye can do nothing" (John 15:5). We must cultivate an abiding sense of our own inefficiency and helplessness and rely wholly on Jesus. This should keep us individually calm and steadfast in words and deportment. Excitement in the speaker is not power but weakness. Earnestness and energy are essential in presenting Bible truth, the gospel, which is the power of God unto salvation.... {2SM 59.2}
There are quicksands upon which many are in danger of being swamped. It is always safe to seek for the earnest of the Spirit of God, if we do not mingle with it a force and presumption that is not heaven born. There is need of caution in all our utterances lest some poor souls of ardent temperament shall work themselves up into a zeal not according to knowledge. They will act as though it was their prerogative to use the Holy Spirit instead of letting the Holy Spirit use them, and mold and fashion them after the pattern of the divine. There is danger of running ahead of Christ. We should honor the Holy Spirit by following where it shall lead. "Lean not unto thine own understanding" (Prov. 3:5). This is one danger of those who teach the truth to others. To follow where
60
Christ leads is a safe path for our feet. His work will stand. Whatsoever God saith is truth. {2SM 59.3}
But ministers who bear the last message of mercy to fallen men must utter no random works; they must not open doors whereby Satan shall find access to human minds. It is not our work to experiment, to study out something new and startling that will create excitement. Satan is watching his chance to take advantage of anything of this order that he may bring in his deceiving elements. The Holy Spirit's moving upon the human agents will keep the mind well balanced. There will not be a wrought-up excitement, to be followed by reaction. {2SM 60.1}
Satan will make use of every extravagant expression to the injury, not only of the speaker, but of those who shall catch the same spirit and infuse others to their harm. Calmness and solemnity should be cultivated; the solemn truths we dwell upon will lead us to manifest deep earnestness. How can we do otherwise when weighted with the most sacred message to bear to perishing souls-- weighted by the sense of the nearness of our Saviour's coming. {2SM 60.2}
If we are constantly looking unto Jesus and receiving His Spirit, we shall have clear eyesight. Then we shall discern the perils on every side, and shall guard every word we utter, lest Satan find opportunity to weave in his deceptions. We do not want to have the minds of the people wrought up into an excitement. We should not encourage an expectation to see strange and wonderful things. But teach them to follow Jesus step by step. Preach Jesus Christ, in whom our hope of eternal life is centered.--Letter 102, 1894.
