"rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" @ Delaney Hall 6/4/2026

Here you hear a female voice from the protesters utter "rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr", which is strangely similar to what the late Radical Black Poet, Amiri Baraka (father of Ras Baraka Mayor of Newark, NJ) once expressed.

¤¤¤

Baraka even uses onomatopoeia in "Black Art" to express that need for violence: "rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ... tuhtuhtuhtuhtuhtuht ..." More specifically, lines in "Black Art" such as "Let there be no love poems written / until love can exist freely and cleanly", juxtaposed with "We want a black poem. / And a Black World", demonstrate Baraka's cry for political justice during a time when racial injustice was rampant, despite the civil rights movement.[40]

More from Amiri Baraka (Wikipedia)

In April 1965, Baraka's "A Poem for Black Hearts" was published as a direct response to Malcolm X's assassination, and it further exemplifies the poet's uses of poetry to generate anger and endorse rage against oppression.[42] Like many of his poems, it showed no remorse in its use of raw emotion to convey its message.[43] It was published in the September issue of Negro Digest and was one of the first responses to Malcolm's death to be exposed to the public.[44] The poem is directed particularly at black men, and it scoldingly labels them "faggots" in order to challenge them to act and continue the fallen activist's fight against the white establishment.

What do Shias believe about Imam Mahdi?

+9

Shia Muslims (specifically Twelvers) believe Imam Mahdi is the 12th Imam, Muhammad al-Mahdi, born in the 9th century and currently in a state of "occultation" (hiding) by divine will. He is considered the living, sinless Savior who will return at the end of time to eliminate injustice, oppression, and restore peace.
Wikipedia +4

Key Beliefs About Imam Mahdi:

•The 12th Imam: He is the son of the 11th Imam, Hasan al-Askari, and is believed to be the final successor to Prophet Muhammad.

•The Occultation (Ghaybah): Shias believe he did not die but was concealed by Allah to protect him. He exists in two phases: the minor occultation (when he communicated through representatives) and the major occultation, which continues today.

•Role in Society: Despite being hidden, Shia theology holds that he is still responsible for the spiritual guidance of humanity, acting as a "living guardian".

•Return and Justice: He will reappear alongside Jesus Christ to establish a global, just, and peaceful Islamic society.

•Signs of Reappearance: His return is expected during a time of rampant tyranny and requires specific conditions, including the preparation of 313 top followers.

•"Waiting" (Intezar): This is a core Shia practice, viewing the waiting for the Mahdi as a proactive state of hope, spiritual preparation, and resistance against injustice.

While the concept of a Mahdi is shared in Sunni Islam, the distinction for Shias is the firm belief that he has already been born, is currently living in concealment, and is specifically the 12th Imam.

Overton window

Overton window

This article is about the political concept. For the 2010 novel, see The Overton Window.

The Overton window is the range of subjects and arguments politically acceptable to the mainstream population at a given time.[1] It is also known as the window of discourse.[2] The key to the concept is that the window changes over time; it can shift, or shrink or expand.[3] It exemplifies "the slow evolution of societal values and norms".[3]

An illustration of the Overton window, along with Treviño's degrees of acceptance

The term is named after the American policy analyst and former senior vice president at Mackinac Center for Public Policy, Joseph Overton, who proposed that the political viability of an idea depends mainly on whether it falls within an acceptability range, rather than on the individual preferences of politicians using the term or concept.[4][3] According to Overton, the window frames the range of policies that a politician may recommend without appearing too extreme, in order to gain or keep public office given the climate of public opinion at that particular time.[5]

No Lives Matter

No Lives Matter

Logo as of August 2024

No Lives Matter (NLM) is a misanthropic, neo-Nazi online hate group that advocates for violence, terrorism and the destruction of humanity. Its core principles are radical nihilism and antihumanism. The organization gained notoriety for its actions in the form of attacks.[2] NLM also released violent manifestos explaining their philosophy, as well as advice on assault and murder.[2][1][3] The name "No Lives Matter" is a reference to the Black Lives Matter movement.[4]

NLM is closely associated with peripheral online communities such as Maniac Murder Cult (MKU), "Sadistic Maniacs Cult", "Satanic Front", and 764.[1] In July of 2024 NLM referred to a collaboration with the Mordwaffen Division, the European splinter group of the Atomwaffen Division.[1]

In its propaganda, the group refers to itself as "children of fire" whose mission is to "Kill mundane [ordinary] people in any dimension they're deployed in".[5] The group uses private messaging platforms such as Telegram[1] and Discord. On Telegram, NLM distributes crime manuals and provides information on bombs, disguises, selecting victims, recruiting new members, and evading justice.[1]

According to the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, NLM and the "True Crime Community" have been linked to at least nine school shooting plots.[6]

History

On 21 August 2024, the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness released a threat assessment. According to the report, NLM is "[...] looking for more soldiers to join our ranks, true misanthropic individuals" and they "only accept people that do irl [in real life] action". One precondition for acceptance into NLM is the practice of self harm in the form of "[...] deep bloody cuts that represent us [NLM]".[1]

The FBI arrested a man from Virginia on 17 December 2024 and confiscated 150 explosive devices, most of which were pipe bombs. They were stored in a backpack with a "#NoLivesMatter" patch attached to it. There was no evidence that he was associated with the No Lives Matter organization.[7][8]

D. Vance,[3] who is Donald Trump's running mate in the 2024 U.S. presidential election.

Early life and education

Born in San Diego, California,[4] and raised in the upwardly mobile Rancho Peñasquitos suburb,[5] Usha Chilukuri is the daughter of Telugu-speaking Indian Hindu immigrants.[6] Her father, Krish, is a lecturer at San Diego State University's Department of Aerospace Engineering while her mother, Lakshmi, is a marine molecular biologist and biochemist, and current Provost of Sixth College at UC San Diego.[7][8] Her parents hail from Andhra Pradesh state of India.[9] Childhood friends described her as a "leader" and a "bookworm."[10]

She attended Yale University, graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in history, with membership in Phi Beta Kappa. She then attended Clare College, Cambridge, in England as a Gates Cambridge Scholar, receiving a Master of Philosophy degree in early modern history in 2010.[11] In 2013, she graduated Juris Doctor at Yale Law School, where she was the Executive Development Editor of the Yale Law Journal and Managing Editor of the Yale Journal of Law & Technology.[12][13][14] During her time at Yale, she also taught American history as a Yale-China Teaching Fellow at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China.[13]

While at Yale Law School, Chilukuri met her future husband, J. D. Vance, a relationship encouraged by their professor Amy Chua.[15] In 2013, Chilukuri and Vance collaborated to organize a discussion group at Yale focused on the topic of "social decline in white America."[16]

She served as a law clerk from 2014–2015 for then–District of Columbia Circuit Judge Brett Kavanaugh and from 2017–2018 for Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.[17] She was admitted to the DC Bar in May 2019 and worked for the law firm Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP, handling civil litigation and appeals in cases involving higher education, local government, entertainment and technology, until July 2024.[18]
