We’d be remiss if we didn’t point out that this December 16th marks the 236th anniversary of the original Boston Tea Party, one of the defining moments of the American Revolution.
It’s especially appropriate to mark the anniversary this year, as 2009 has indeed been the “Year of the Tea Party,” a series of genuine, populist uprisings against the policies of an American government that’s sadly become every bit as tyrannical and repressive as the old British Empire from which it declared its independence.
Anyway, our hats off to everyone who is standing up for this nation’s founding principles … and those who continue to seek the expansion of freedom in all its forms.
