The federal government has run out of money to help people purchase digital converter boxes for their televisions.
Starting February 17 television stations will switch to a digital signal. Anyone using an antennae will have to get a converter for their TV.
The federal government had been mailing out $40 vouchers to help people pay for the boxes which run between $40 and $80.
But, because so many people have requested the coupons the government has run out of money to cover those vouchers.
Anyone who applied after January 4 will be put on a waiting list until more funds become available.
