Jesus said, “when you see the abomination of desolation stand where it ought not.” This was when the Roman Ensign of the sun was set up outside Jerusalem AD 67 as they started to surround Jerusalem. This is the time the Christians were to flee. (“if in the field go not back into the city (Jerusalem) etc. Far more relevant acts today, in my opinion would be either when the Vatican Flag was paraded across the stage at the General Conference (to applause) Holland. Or making the Russian KGB agent M. Kulokov President of the Euro Division I think either one of these certainly were a sign for SDA’s to flee “Jerusalem.”
If you are warning people to “come out of Babylon” by leaving the Church just as the Christians fled Jerusalem in AD 67, I agree with you
A quote from Vol. 5 p. 715 relating to Sunday Laws I fully agree with, but this plain statement and many others are now disbelieved and nullified. This is because SDA’s have now been taught to appear to obey Sunday Laws by taking the “Cowards way out” and “doing missionary work on Sunday” to avoid persecution. When this was written no one in the S.D.A. church accepted this “Cowards way out”. On the contrary, in Vol 9, at the height of Sunday Law Persecution in Australia the Students at Avondale College were doing their lessons and working in the garden on Sunday. And many other instances.
And at the same time Mrs White and her workmen were working on Sunday and received a visit from the Police, on “Sunday mind you”! Actions speak louder than words
And the only reason we have the Religious Liberty Section 116 in the Australian Constitution is the fear SDA’s had of further persecution that they had already suffered for their conscientious belief of WORKING ON SUNDAY. {not laws demanding “worship” on Sunday!)
What a shame Seventh-day Adventists today have now lost a belief that their Pioneers were ready to suffer and even die for! How on earth can they be awakened to this fact?
I urge all SDA’s to read the leaflet published by the SDA Church, Our Answer Why do Seventh-day Adventists Suffer Imprisonment Rather Than Keep Sunday? The Religious Liberty Library No.16 Extra November, 1893. And many others like it.
2 points - 1) 3 1/2 literal years is the teaching of Late Great Planet Earth and Hal Lindsey. It is the deception that has enthralled the deeply misguided Evangelicals for decades.
2) Please, Pastor Gates, try to find a recording or friend who can help you return to speaking fluent English; It may seem trivial but this Amazon jungle accent you use makes you sound false and insincere.
