Animated by the Universal Apostolic Preferences of the Society and encouraged by understanding them as “orientations that go beyond ‘doing something’ and enable us to achieve our transformation as persons” according to Fr. General’s letter of 2019 , the Chinese Province responded by embarking on a journey of over two years to develop a Province Apostolic Plan (PAP) 2022 – 2029. This document sets out the Vision, Priorities, Goals, Actions and Follow-up Measures for a Review of the Plan which will guide the Province in the years ahead.



Under the direction of a nine-person Preparatory Team consisting of both Jesuits and lay partners (both men and women), we held three Province Assemblies over two years. We discussed the Culture of Positivity and Collaboration necessary for our conversion, conducted a Province-wide SWOT analysis as an exercise to gain a more concrete grasp of our situation.

In the interim period between the First and the Second Assemblies, the mission of the Society was revisited and the context of our Province was analyzed. The Second Assembly was then devoted to formulating the Vision of the PAP. After arriving at a consensus for the Vison, drafts of the Priorities under the Vision were also developed. Subsequent to the Assembly, the Priorities were refined and confirmed. They are presented below:

Sports Gambling Is Still a Bad Bet

Where betting is legalized, lives are being destroyed.

A recently released report shows a clear correlation between legalized gambling and gambling addiction. While this should surprise absolutely no one, there is further evidence that the explosion of legalized sports gambling was a bad idea.

In 2018, a Supreme Court decision cleared the way for states to legalize sports betting. Since then, according to the study shared by Epic Research, gambling disorders have risen by 61% in states that allow it but is down 29% in states that have not.

That’s a big spread, pun intended. The time frame is also significant. Only Nevada allowed sports gambling prior to 2018. Today, it is legal in 39 states and DC, though app-based gambling has made it ubiquitous. The results of this experience speak for themselves:

Of the overall population, adults aged 30 to 49 had the highest overall quarterly rate of diagnosed gambling disorder throughout the study period. . .. The largest proportional increase was among adults aged 18 to 29, whose rate more than doubled. Rates rose in both sexes and in every age group, but the male-to-female gap was substantially larger in adults under 50.

The math speaks for itself. For example, sports betting companies make enough to pay out a fortune in constant commercials while still raking in incredible profits. As of last year, gambling businesses have taken in around $300 billion, which is as much as China spends on its military each year.

The cost to consumers, however, is not only in the bet. According to a 2025 article by Charles Fain Lehman in The Atlantic, for every dollar spent on betting, household investing fell by an average of two dollars. The years since 2018 have been marked by large increases in over-drafted bank accounts and maxed-out credit cards. Legalized sports gambling has increased “the risk that a household goes bankrupt by 25 to 30 percent” and has caused debt delinquency to surge.  

The financial strain, in turn, worsens social pathologies. According to research cited by Lehman, an upset loss for an NFL home team correlates to a 10% spike in male domestic abuse. Overall, states with legalized sports gambling have seen an estimated 9% increase in “intimate-partner violence.”

As it turns out, it is possible to legislate morality, or, in this case, to legislate an increase in immorality. The legalization of sports gambling, and the general betting industrial complex, is a scourge on society, as if a highly contagious illness had a multi-billion-dollar PR campaign behind it. This is a cause for both the Left and the Right to get behind. Progressives would be hard pressed to find a better example of the rich getting richer on the backs of the poor. Conservatives have a horribly perfect example of the effects of moral decay and the corruption of domestic life.

Moral decline isn’t inevitable. Too many are convinced that things always go from bad to worse, so why try to turn the tide? Fighting the new normal, especially one with so much money and political power behind it, is an uphill battle. But Christians are commanded to love our neighbors. Sometimes that means giving to a local charity. Sometimes that means pressing leaders to ban what is destroying lives.

At denominational gatherings across the country this summer, one topic of conversation has been a near constant: Christian nationalism.

Denominations discuss and debate a wide range of subjects at their annual conventions, occasionally making headlines, as Southern Baptists did in June with a vote to ban women from preaching. But among Baptists, Presbyterians, and other evangelical groups, a quieter work has been underway in committees and working groups as churches grapple with how to address growing efforts to marry Christianity with the tools of government.

At its annual synod in June, the Christian Reformed Church (CRC) voted to form a Christian nationalism study committee that will present a report in 2028. The same month, the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) heard a partial report from a Christian nationalism study committee it created last year and approved the group continuing its work for another year.

Such projects, which on their face might seem like academic exercises, have met resistance within some denominations, in part stemming from disagreements over whether Christian nationalism is a serious theological problem or a passing fad.

The Christian Reformed Church narrowly approved—by a 93–84 vote—a resolution to form its study committee. The group will define the term Christian nationalism, examine how different forms of the teaching have appeared throughout church history, and guide CRC churches on what it means for them.

The goal of the resolution is, in part, to reject “theological frameworks that conflate ecclesial identity with national identity.”

 I. Introduction:

The Jesuit Order – a.k.a. the Society of Jesus, the Order of Jesus, the Sons of Loyola, and “the Company” (it was once called “the Company of Jesus”) – was founded in 1534 by Ignatius Loyola. It was officially recognized as a Roman Catholic religious order by Pope Paul III in 1540. Jesuits are famous as educators, and as “father-confessors” to emperors, kings (and their mistresses), queens, princes, princesses, high-ranking military officers, and many of the powerful and wealthy elite of the world. Jesuits are also infamous as seducers of women in the confessional, murderers of kings, makers of sedition, organizers of coup d’états, infiltrators of Protestant denominations, instigators of massacres, and fomenters of wars and revolutions. Numerous books have been written about the Jesuit Order. Some of these books contend that many of the men at the higher levels of the Jesuit Order have been – and are – very evil men!

Let us carefully consider the following questions, which I hope to answer in the “conclusions” section of this newsletter:

• 1. Is the Jesuit Order – at its higher levels – the most evil organization that the world has seen over the past 4½+ centuries?
• 2. Why has the Jesuit Order been expelled from so many countries, including from many predominantly Roman Catholic countries, during its history?
• 3. Are the Jesuit Order and the Jesuit-controlled Roman Catholic Church-State responsible for fomenting many wars and revolutions, such as World War I and World War II?
• 4. Is the Jesuit-controlled Roman Catholic Church-State the greatest threat to civil and religious liberty that the world has ever seen?
• 5. Have agents of the Jesuit Order been responsible for assassinating numerous heads of State over the centuries?
• 6. Does the Jesuit Order, which controls the Roman Catholic Church-State, the Knights of Malta, the highest levels of the Knights of Columbus and of Opus Dei, and the highest levels of Freemasonry, etc., sit at the very top of the New World Order (N.W.O.) “pyramid”?
• 7. Does the Jesuit Order, through its control of various secret societies, such as high-level Freemasonry and the Knights of Malta, control the International Intelligence Community?
• 8. Does the Jesuit Order, through its control of the wealthy, powerful, and influential Knights of Malta – and other “agents” on the Jesuit payroll – control the International Banking Community?

Surely inquiring minds would like answers to the above questions. Please carefully read and consider the “definitions” found in the next section, and the numerous quotations dealing with the Jesuit Order that are found within this newsletter.

Important Note: The intention of this TTT issue is to expose many of the evil deeds carried out on the instructions of higher-level members of the Jesuit Order – including the General of the Order – and the resulting harm, mayhem, and death that the Jesuit Order’s actions and operations have brought to many peoples and nations. (The Jesuits have “justified” – or “excused” – these evil deeds with their “maxims” of “the end justifies the means” and “for the greater glory of God”!) The reader should keep in mind that lower-level Jesuits (especially those of the first three degrees) know little to nothing of the evil that goes on at the higher levels of the Jesuit Order. (The same can be said for most Roman Catholics, i.e., they know little to nothing of the evil that goes on at the higher levels of the Jesuit Order – or at the higher levels of the Papacy itself!) Unfortunately, these lower-level Jesuits – due to the blind obedience that they are required to give to all superiors in their order – are merely “tools” in the hands of their superiors; and these lower-level Jesuits often carry out various operations and activities for the sinister intermediate – and long-range – “goals” of the Jesuit Order – goals about which they know little to nothing!

It is sometimes said that the truth is stranger than fiction. When we consider the many extraordinary things happening in this modern age, this idiom certainly rings true. Some of the things you are about to read are going to sound unbelievable, and maybe even impossible. Yet, we live in an age when the science fiction of decades past resembles the reality of our present time. Our sources for the information provided in this newsletter will all be listed in our references section. We invite you to investigate them for yourself if you feel inclined to do so.

I recall hearing an urban legend in the 1990s claiming that Kentucky Fried Chicken, sometimes known as KFC, was growing headless chickens in a laboratory and harvesting them for meat, which was then supposedly sold to unwitting customers in their iconic buckets. To be clear, this legend was not true. Yet while the premise once seemed far-fetched, lab-grown synthetic meat has existed for years, and various companies are working to perfect cultivated meat grown from stem cells.

The first cultivated beef burger ever was prepared and consumed at an event in London, England, in 2013. (1) At the time, food critic Josh Schonwald, who was one of the first people to taste the lab-grown burger, said, “The mouthfeel is like meat. I miss the fat, there’s a leanness to it, but the general bite feels like a hamburger.” Professor Mark Post of Maastricht University in the Netherlands, the scientist who developed the lab-grown burger, commented, “It’s a very good start.” (2) About seven years later, Singapore became the first country to allow cultivated meat to be sold to consumers. (3) The United States would follow suit on June 30, 2023, when the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Food Safety and Inspection Service issued approval to GOOD Meat and UPSIDE Foods to sell cultivated meat products in the United States. (4)

The lab-grown meat remains expensive to manufacture and is not typically available for purchase in the U.S. yet. Cultivated meat producers have also faced considerable backlash from lawmakers. According to an article published by U.S. News & World Report in December 2025, seven states – Alabama, Florida, Indiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, and Texas – have banned the manufacture, sale, and distribution of lab-grown meat. (5) However, Elliot Swartz of the Good Food Institute in Washington, D.C., believes we may begin to see a few cultivated meat products become available in supermarkets over the next five years. “There might be local retailers that have a few products on store shelves, but there won’t be a nationwide Walmart, Costco-type of cultivated meat product within the next five years in the United States,” he estimated. (6)

As for that urban legend, it turns out it was just ahead of its time. But lab-grown meat is far from the strangest thing happening in these very strange days.

Pope Leo says his ancestors were both ‘slaves and slave owners’

Pope Leo XIV has delved into his family history, revealing his ancestry included both enslaved people and slave owners.

“I come from a family that my grandparents were immigrants,” the first American pontiff told NBC news in the Vatican Gardens of Castel Gandolfo on Wednesday. “On my mother’s side, we have people who were both slaves and slave owners.”

Leo spoke about his family’s historical links to the transatlantic slave trade on Wednesday in response to a reporter’s question about his American heritage.

Asked what he loves about his homeland, the pope also said he highly values the United States’ “sense of freedom, the sense of opportunity” and “of having invited for generations people from around the world to be part of America.”

The importance of welcoming new arrivals is a message the Chicago-born pope has repeatedly sent to the US, as he has criticized the “inhuman” treatment of immigrants during the Trump administration’s crackdown.

Fauci’s 5th Frenzy: 111 Refusals on Capitol Hill

Dr. Anthony Fauci’s July 29, 2026, appearance before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, chaired by Sen. Rand Paul, was a contentious spectacle marked by his repeated invocation of the Fifth Amendment.

The 85-year-old former NIAID director, subpoenaed after declining voluntary testimony, opened by accusing Paul of an “obvious obsession” and “unhinged” campaign aimed at putting him “behind bars.” He cited Paul’s prior calls for prosecution, critical comments, and the recent public release of Fauci’s unredacted personal diary. On advice of counsel, he then declined nearly every question—invoking the Fifth roughly 111 times (reports range from over 100 to about 115)—with the fixed reply that he declined based on his constitutional rights against self-incrimination.

Compounding the optics was the preemptive “full and unconditional” pardon Biden granted Fauci on January 19, 2025—his final full day in office—covering any potential offenses from 2014 tied to his government service. That document was executed via autopen, the mechanical signature device, amid later revelations that White House staff (including then-Chief of Staff Jeff Zients) authorized its use after late-night meetings, with limited contemporaneous evidence of Biden’s direct personal review of every name. Critics have hammered the process as a last-minute shield that bypassed traditional accountability, raising unresolved questions about presidential intent and validity even as Biden insisted he made the decisions and that autopen use is longstanding and legal. The pardon did not cover potential new perjury or obstruction from this hearing itself, leaving Fauci still vulnerable and the Fifth as his remaining fortress.

Questions covered long-disputed topics: NIH funding related to gain-of-function research, the Wuhan lab and COVID-19 origins, pandemic response decisions, diary entries, and even trivial probes (tie color, carpet color) meant to test the scope of the privilege. Fauci answered no questions substantively. One of his attorneys was ejected after attempting to interject. Paul and other Republicans expressed frustration, warned of obstruction consequences, and signaled plans for a contempt-of-Congress vote, arguing the prior Biden preemptive pardon (covering actions through early 2025) limited the privilege’s applicability to new testimony risks such as perjury.



Fauci framed the hearing as a political trap rather than legitimate oversight, noting his extensive prior congressional appearances without invoking the Fifth. Supporters of the inquiry viewed the blanket silence as obstructive and damaging to accountability on pandemic policy and research. Critics of the proceedings saw it as a partisan exercise unlikely to yield new facts given the adversarial history between Paul and Fauci. The session produced no substantive answers, amplified existing divides over COVID origins and handling, and left legal questions (contempt, the interplay of pardon and privilege) for further process. It underscored how polarized the residual debates remain, 5-6 years later.

Bellarmine – Champion of Rome

The Jesuit cardinal Robert Bellarmine (1542-1621), the 400th anniversary of whose death is noticed in 2021, was the greatest polemical theologian, controversialist and defender of the Papacy that the Church of Rome ever produced. Whereas the Council of Trent (1545-1563) dogmatically defined the doctrine of the Church of Rome in a series of decrees and anathemas, it fell to Bellarmine to provide all the theological underpinnings and, by controversy, to counter every argument of Protestantism, whether Lutheran, Calvinist or whatever. He did so principally by his lectures to young Jesuits training to be the foot soldiers of the Counter-Reformation, and by his printed Controversies. Bellarmine also produced a catechism that was adopted by the Roman Catholic Church as its official teaching until the First Vatican Council in 1870, which relied heavily on Bellarmine’s arguments in favour of Papal infallibility.[1] He was declared by Rome a Doctor of the Church in 1931, the prerequisite to which was his canonization as a saint the previous year.

The Protestant Reformers had studied the Scriptures in their original languages, and deeply familiarized themselves with church history and the writings of the Church Fathers, but there was little comparable expertise within the Church of Rome: few Roman apologists until Bellarmine could argue convincingly from history, or from the Fathers, or from the original languages, leaving the Church of Rome at a significant disadvantage in controversy. A milestone in modern history was the production of the Historia Ecclesiae Christi by Lutheran scholars at Magdeburg (1559-74), thirteen volumes covering a century each, often known as the Magdeburg Centuries. Painstakingly and meticulously researched using primary sources from all over Europe, the Magdeburg Centuries demonstrated the continuity in all ages of the Church and her doctrine in each article of faith. This made it relatively easy for Protestants to expose and counter the errors in the traditional narrative of the Roman church with its mediaeval legends, inventions, hagiographies, and forgeries.[2]

Roberto Francesco Romolo Bellarmino was born on October 4, 1542 in the town of Montepulciano in Tuscany, then within the Papal States. He was the third of five sons, and had seven sisters. His maternal uncle, Cardinal Marcello Cervini, hailed from the town, and became Pope Marcellus II when Robert was 12. In 1557 Spanish Jesuits set up a school in the town, which attracted away Robert from the local grammar school. Robert quickly came under their spell to join the order, contrary to the will of his father, who wished him to qualify in medicine. In an extraordinary circumvention of the requirement for a 2-year noviciate, Robert was fast-tracked into taking vows at the age of seventeen. Within days Robert was fitted with his cassock and dispatched to the Jesuits’ Roman College in Rome. He became Il Maestro Roberto at 21, and thereafter taught at Florence, then at Mondovi in Piedmont, and at Padua, all the while honing his skills in preaching.

In 1569 Bellarmine was sent to Louvain in the Low Countries, where he distinguished himself by regular preaching and public lectures in Latin, his auditors exceeding 2000 persons at a time.[3] Louvain was a Roman Catholic stronghold in a region much influenced by Protestantism, and his Jesuit superiors knew that there he could in relative safety cut his teeth in controversy. The main dispute when he arrived was an intramural affair at the University, where Michael de Bay (Latin ‘Baius’), who had attended the Council of Trent as a theologian delegate, taught that Roman theology had become too reliant on mediaeval scholasticism and the writings of Thomas Aquinas. Baius records that he ‘endeavoured to bring theology back to Holy Scripture and the writings of the Fathers’, which sounded suspiciously like the trail that the Reformers had blazed. Unsurprisingly, Baius’ views were condemned by a Papal Bull and yet rumbled on.[4] The Jesuits, disliking any sympathy at the University for what they considered crypto-Protestantism, set up their own college in Louvain in 1570 and installed the recently ordained Bellarmine as its first professor, where he dutifully lectured and wrote against the views of Baius, while avoiding mention of his name.
