Helen Thomas Shocked By Obama Healthcare Press Op

If you don't know her name, you certainly know her face...Helen Thomas has covered every President since JFK as a member of the American media. She asks the hard questions, the often unpopular questions. She was a tough criticizer of George W. Bush and once famously stated "The day Dick Cheney is going to run for President, I'll kill myself." But she's certainly not putting on kitten gloves for Barack Obama's administration, either.
At Obama's latest Town Hall meeting, questions were allowed to be submitted for the President from Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc. President Obama answered seven questions: four of them were selected by staff from groups that support Obama's health care proposal, including Service Employees International Union and Health Care for America Now.
That certainly didn't get by Helen. See her response and CBS correspondent Chip Reid's in the video below, in the White House press room with Robert Gibbs yesterday.

"Nixon didn't try to do that," Helen Thomas said in a subsequent interview by CNSNews.com. "They couldn't control [the media]. They didn't try. What the hell do they think we are, puppets?...They are our public servants. We pay them.
"When you call the reporter the night before, you know damn well what they are going to ask." There's been "managed news" before, she pointed out, but for a town hall meeting? "It's blatant," she continued. They don't give a damn if you know it or not. They ought to be hanging their heads in shame."
She's 89 years old and still sharp as a tack! Go Helen!
