About
Overcoming Oppression: Biblically Dismantling Abuses of Power
Come and discover ways to overcome oppression through the power of the Word of God. Through plenary sessions, workshops, and best practices, we'll identify the abuses of power that subjugate the oppressed and the biblical solutions to resolve them.
Who should attend:
Any person (18 & over) interested in learning more about issues of justice and conscience.
What's included in registration:
All event materials, full access to all General and breakout Sessions, meals, and Best Practices Tour.

Pre-Conference Tour
Check out the historical and iconic Civil Rights sites in Birmingham, AL. We'll tour the 16th St. Baptist Church, the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, and the Kelly Ingram Park. Please bring money for lunch.

If so, we invite you to showcase your innovative practices at the Community Engagement Best Practices Expo, hosted by the Center for Community Change, on Sunday, September 28, 2025, in Huntsville, Ala.
