For the last two weeks Toyota, the world's largest motor vehicle manufacturer has been plagued by accelerator sticking problems. This is truly a sticky situation that won't go away!

The gas pedal problem was originally blamed on the floor mat, then a gadget was invented (arriving at dealerships on or about Thurday, 2/4/10) that would correct the anomally.
“The problem of sudden unintended acceleration has been reported to have
existed in some Lexus vehicles and Toyota vehicles going back to 1999 when CTS did not even make this product for any customer,” the manufacturer said in a statement last week.

After Toyota announced a gigantic recall for 8 models that may have potentially hazardous mechanical problems; Now it has escalated to a probable electro-magnetic issue with the throttle. In the U.S. there are even Congressional hearings into the auto manufacturer's handling of the current issue. It seems as if this recall may not only cost Toyota huge sums of money; but also, its prosperity and reputation.
