How can you call that news?

I listen to the news on radio (NPR and on FOX) at the top of the hour and on the half hour. This is my usual way of staying up to the minute on current events and weather. Today, I have identified a trend in which every move that President Obama makes on his latest campaign tour (Iowa) is featured as the leading story on the brief program and as NEWS. Now, wait a minute; How can you call that news? And, how does it precede all other news items?

Every thirty minutes I hear: Hi, I'm Lakshmi Singh - President Obama .........Blasé blah.

I smell a rat!

Or, is it free advertising I smell? Maybe, free propaganda?

Frankly, I am weary of hearing about Obama's latest escapade.

Arsenio.
