100 Catholic Priests will Gather to ‘Change Our Nation’ at the ‘Catholic Prayer for America’ Event at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Headquarters
A religion of externals is attractive to the unrenewed heart. The pomp and ceremony of the Catholic worship has a seductive, bewitching power, by which many are deceived; and they come to look upon the Roman Church as the very gate of heaven. None but those who have planted their feet firmly upon the foundation of truth, and whose hearts are renewed by the Spirit of God, are proof against her influence. Thousands who have not an experimental knowledge of Christ will be led to accept the forms of godliness without the power. Such a religion is just what the multitudes desire. GC 567.2
Mar-a-Lago, Florida, also known as the Southern White House, holds significant political influence as the personal residence and private club of President Donald Trump, serving as a hub for political power and global influence. Trump uses Mar-a-Lago as his de facto headquarters, hosting key political figures, foreign dignitaries, and influential donors. Mar-a-Lago’s importance extends beyond U.S. politics, as it frequently attracts world leaders, business elites, and global power brokers. Mar-a-Lago also serves as a symbolic stronghold of Trump’s political brand, reinforcing its role as a crucial epicenter for geo-religio-political landscapes.
It comes as no surprise that, given the increasingly close relationship between the Roman Catholic Church and the Trump administration, Mar-a-Lago is the venue chosen to host the “Catholic Prayer for America 2025 Gala at Mar-a-Lago” on March 19, 2025, at Donald Trump’s private estate. Catholics for Catholics, an organization dedicated to promoting Catholic doctrine, public policy, and legislation, is sponsoring this event and published the following:
• “We are excited to announce our 2nd annual “Catholic Prayer for America” Gala on March 19, 2025, Feast of St. Joseph. The event will take place at the home of President Donald J. Trump at Mar-a-Lago in Florida.”• “Prayer is at the heart of what makes America great … While Catholics for Catholics is a movement of passionate activists, we know that without prayer our work is in vain.”•“Sponsoring 100 Catholic priests to join Catholic Prayer for America Gala at Mar-a-Lago!”• “We’re inspiring a new wave of Catholicism and love of country. We are restoring what it means to say “I’m Catholic” in the public square. We are changing the nation and shaping a more holy and moral future for America!”• “Support our mission to reclaim our country’s Christian roots and its guiding documents: The Bible and Constitution.”
In President Donald Trump’s second administration, there has been a noticeable bridging between politics and religion and Protestants and Catholics. This alliance is particularly evident in the appointments in his administration. Donald Trump not only secured the majority of Catholic votes during the 2024 presidential election, but he has also reciprocated their support by appointing numerous devout Roman Catholics in his administration.
