As the storm approaches, a large class who have professed faith in the third angel's message, but have not been sanctified through obedience to the truth, abandon their position and join the ranks of the opposition. As Christians anticipate the imminent return of the Son of the Most High, Bible prophecy indicates that the world will soon go through unprecedented changes, which will take the great majority of us by surprise.

Satan, the father of lies and enemy of God, knows his time is very short as prophetic signs point to the imminent glorious return of the Son of God and Saviour of the human race, Jesus the Christ. Satan is using the Antichrist pope and the Vatican's Jesuits to infiltrate and manipulate all levels of government, institutions and churches with the purpose of ushering his sadistic new world order.

Since 9/11, the world has witnessed increased surveillance and the infringement and regression of individual rights, false flag attacks and other fear-mongering tactics to bring the false messiah who will be none other than satan in the flesh. He will masquerade himself as Christ to a deceived world, which has rejected the Christ of the Bible and His Law of love, His holy ten-commandments.

However, this false messiah will not be able to deceive the elect of the Most High as well as countless others, who will come to the knowledge of the truth, in these end times. The false messiah will change the 7th day Sabbath commandment of the Most High which points to Him as the Creator to SUNday, the venerable day of the sun, in partnership with the Antichrist pope, to bring about Sunday laws worldwide.

Sunday worship will be the enforced mark of the Vatican beast, the prophesied first beast of Revelation 13 and whore of Babylon in Revelation 17. This is what the Vatican beast has to say about its mark:

"Sunday is our MARK of our authority [...] The church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact". — Catholic Record of London, Ontario. Sept. 1, 1923.

Those who accept Sunday rather than the commanded 7th day Sabbath of God will pay a miserable price for disobeying an offended God. The seven plagues of the Most High will soon fall upon those who will take the mark of the beast (Sunday rest and worship) -- rather than observing the commandments of the Most High including the 7th day Sabbath commandment (Exodus 20:8-11) - and their fate will be an unpleasant one, as mentioned in Revelation 14:9-10.

Sunday observance cannot be found in the Bible. Christ or His apostles never ordained or commanded a change in the day of rest from the 7th day of the week to the 1st day of the week.

The Catholic church has even admitted this fact through the following statement:

"From beginning to end of Scripture, there is not a single passage that warrants the transfer of weekly public worship from the last day of the week [Saturday] to the first [Sunday]." Catholic Press, Sydney, Australia, August, 1900.

Soon, every man, woman and child will have to make a very important decision that will alter the fate: either embrace Christ and His commandments including the 7th day Sabbath commandment or obeying the satan-inspired beasts of Revelation 13, including the Vatican and the United States and their one world government and false religious system.

In Revelation chapter 14 verse 12 and in Revelation chapter 22 verse 14, those who will receive eternal life in Christ's kingdom are identified as the saints who keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Christ. In contrast, those who willingly reject God's commandments, including the 7th day Sabbath commandment, will die for their disobedience since the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

Make the right choice: choose Christ, put your faith and trust in the Son of God, keep His holy ten commandments through the Holy Spirit (Exodus 20:1-17) and Christ will reward you, as a gift, with eternal life in His everlasting kingdom of love, peace and joy (Revelation 14:12; Revelation 22:14).

Starting in February 2009 with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act ($831 Billion), also called the Stimulus Package, then the FED's Quantitative Easing... The American economy has been artificially supplemented by infusions of capital that actually does not exist.
So, in spite of the semblance of prosperity in the Stock Market's highs, or the latest jobs and unemployment claims reports, it's inaccurate to say that the economy has finally overcome the Great Recession.

The Federal Reserve's monthly 'contribution' of an average of $80 Billion (multiplied by 72 months), has sustained the Obama administration's tenure. In fact any honest assessment of the period of time that has lapsed since President 'W' Bush, called for the $700 Billion TARP Bailout (or, there would be riots in the streets), will have to admit that the government's finances and the economy have been on life-support, on an artificial money IV.
Therefore, as quiet as it's kept...
President Obama has been kept afloat artificially by the Fed. Yes, the current administration has been assisted by the private consortium of banks known as the Federal Reserve (not a branch of federal government, and its reserve of cash is questionable). When was the last time that the FED was audited?

Since Janet Yellen announced that the FED would abandon Quantitative Easing... What happens now?

Ouija Does It

Like a novelist, Norman Rockwell had a keen eye for small moments in ordinary life that signified broader trends. One such discovery occurred in the summer of 1919 when Rockwell, his wife Irene, and her family travelled to Potsdam, New York, to celebrate homecoming at Irene’s alma mater, Potsdam Normal School. In honor of his wife, Rockwell illustrated the cover for the special anniversary issue of the school’s alumni magazine—a gift popular with all of the attendees, especially Irene. For the first time, Rockwell felt like one of the family.

After the festivities, the family gathered at their summer camp a few miles away in Louisville Landing. Relaxing on the shoreline of the St. Lawrence River, conversations led to predictions about the future decade.

A spirited discussion followed, but soon Rockwell’s brother-in-law, Howard, and Irene’s father grew restless and invited Rockwell to walk with them. The three men eventually ended up at the town’s small dance hall, watching out-of-towners dance to the latest hits. As fascinating as the dancers were, several couples ringing the perimeter of the dance floor—sitting face-to-face, knee-to-knee and moving small heart-shaped objects (planchettes) on Ouija boards—were even more intriguing to Rockwell. Recalling their earlier conversation, the artist joked to Howard, “Maybe they can predict what the ’20s will bring.”

Nothing more was said about the matter, but six months later on February 3, 1920, Howard visited Rockwell in his New Rochelle studio to wish him happy birthday. Walking over to a couple of paintings resting on easels, he commented to Rockwell, “This looks like one of the couples using the Ouija board last summer.”

In fact, it was. The previous summer’s weekend celebration in Potsdam inspired the illustration “Ouija Board” featured on the May 1, 1920, cover of The Saturday Evening Post (above). Norman thought it was a trendy cover, perfect for the new decade, and used New York City models Betty Keough and Henry Von Bousen in the illustration.

Another canvas nearby featured a young couple looking at blueprints of a new house with a small child beside them. Howard asked, “Will this be the Rockwell family someday?”

“I don’t know,” the artist replied. “Do you have a Ouija board?”

To Pope Francis: A New Era in Evangelical and Roman Catholic Relations (FULL SPEECH)

Pope Francis and distinguished representatives of the Roman Catholic Church:

On behalf of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) and the 600 million people we represent around the globe, I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are grateful for this meeting, for the time and freedom to discuss together issues that deeply concern us all. It is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge the fact that many Christians do not enjoy such liberty, that many suffer from fear, torture and other forms of violence. For their sake and for the sake of the Gospel, we acknowledge the differences between our traditions, yet also affirm the common tasks we have shared in the past and pray that we can build on those.

Evangelicals are a very diverse group that includes peoples and churches from Pentecostal traditions, Reformed, Baptist and independents. We share a common faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and a desire to serve God's kingdom, we have a heart to encourage personal spiritual renewal and transformation and a passion to make Jesus known around the world. As we seek to obey Christ, we see this time as a new era in Evangelical/Roman Catholic relations. In the words of the prophet Isaiah, God is enlarging our tent, letting the curtains stretch out and lengthening the cords (54:2). Through strengthened collaboration we hope to see justice and peace kiss each other and faithfulness spring up from the ground (Psalm 85:10). It is our hope that this era will be characterized by a new level of cooperation in which we address social problems of injustice, violence and persecution on behalf of billions of neighbors around the world. I propose a new level and quality of public discussion of our core beliefs, including both areas where we agree and areas where we have differences, so that together we might be enabled by the Spirit to find ways to share the love, peace and justice that we have in Jesus with a world suffering from hatred and wars.

In our global information society, where much of the world's population knows what we are doing in a matter of minutes, it is important that the world know that there are many localized partnerships between Catholics and Evangelicals, which are developing into large-scale collaborations in response to tragic social problems. For example, we know that in many cities around the world, Evangelical and Roman Catholic Christians are cooperating to respond to human trafficking, while at the same time Evangelical and Catholic scholars and activists have begun collaborating to analyze and respond to the terrible problems of religious persecution. We know that Evangelicals and Catholics have worked together for many years in numerous crisis pregnancy centers, we have made joint representations to governments and legal bodies, and around the globe together serve as witnesses for the fullness of life offered to us freely by Jesus. Let us now develop these wonderful initiatives into something larger, increasing both the range of social problems to which we respond, and our level of joint global response. For example, we are terribly worried (and know we must take further action) about the many refugees from the fighting in Iraq and Syria, many of whom are praying to our Father for help. We have to be the giving hands of Jesus together. At the same time, Christians have to work together on the frightening issue of nuclear weapons before another cold war brings humanity to the brink of disaster.

All of us are affected and damaged by particular issues. These include corruption, the role of churches in peace-building, including our efforts to reduce conflict in the Middle East, human trafficking and religious persecution. Thus a careful and joint response to such issues at a global level would strengthen our witness and shed God's light into such darkness. Together we should work to address religious extremism, the needs of refugees, creation care, immigration, humanitarian aid, economic development, and marriage/family problems. The Christian movement as a whole can offer global leadership on the vast range of public concerns, on issues of universal human rights and universal human duties. The quality of our cooperation will be more visible and influential inasmuch as the leadership of the Catholic Church and the World Evangelical Alliance make such collaboration a high priority and work to extend cooperation through the whole range of our Catholic and Evangelical institutions and organizations. Such collaborative work is a clear biblical and loving response to our neighbors in need and should be done in full obedience to the mission God has entrusted to the Church.

As Christians, we consistently and publicly reject coercion, manipulation, and deception as means of convincing others to believe in Jesus. Though most of our members have known this for many years, it is wonderful that we were able to affirm this together strongly and publicly in our joint code of ethics in missions, launched in June 2011, Christian Witness in a Multi-Religious World. The delegates and participants in this process from the various Christian traditions represented over 90% of the world's Christians. What an achievement and what a sign to the world that despite our differences, we stand together as witnesses for Jesus and affirm the way of Jesus for all our missionary activities! I look forward to further collaborations on this same grand scale.

Yet despite our work in joint projects such as Christian Witness, some people still expect either (i) that truly-held convictions will be expressed through the use of force, or (ii) that Christians, especially in the West, habitually of two minds, partly accept themes from secularism while at the same time accept themes from the Christian tradition. How do we persuade and show in our life and practice that we truly believe the message of Jesus and that we invite others to freely believe in this gospel without coercion or manipulation?

Christian love in action is the solution to this problem. Loving our neighbors threatened by trafficking, persecution, conflict, and corruption may not immediately lead other people to believe in the incarnation, the resurrection, or the Trinity, but such love can help convince our neighbors that we truly believe in human dignity. Furthermore, we must repeatedly affirm that we believe God has created all people in his image and that the incarnation of the eternal Son of God as a real human being confirms human dignity. Serious efforts to respond to social problems strengthen and reinforce the perception that we stand firm in our official convictions and beliefs. As we address together the challenges of our age we witness in words, deeds and character to the good news of the gospel of Christ. In this manner, loving our neighbors whose lives are threatened or destroyed by terrible social problems can serve as an attracting function; such applied love may convince others that we have a message that is worthy of attention and which we honestly believe.

A new era of Evangelical/Roman Catholic cooperation responding to people in need should raise questions about what we believe in the manner described. Therefore, we propose that it be accompanied by a new level of public discussion of our core beliefs, on matters where Evangelicals and Catholics both agree and where we differ. Deeper levels of joint love of neighbors should be accompanied by higher levels of public discussion of fundamental theology and ethics between Roman Catholics and Evangelicals. This will have educational value for our own church members; it will provide answers for seekers who are interested in the Christian faith, whose interest and questions may have been awakened by our shared love of neighbors; and it sets healthy patterns for principled public discussion in a multi-religious world.

There are particular areas where joint collaboration between Roman Catholics and Evangelicals can serve as a sign of a new era, a sign of the peace and justice inaugurated in Jesus of Nazareth. Even as we hold deliberate and public debates over theological and philosophical matters, these can also be part of larger projects – projects that expose corruption in business and politics with Christian ethics and practices of truth-telling, projects that build up a nation through peace processes rather than violence, projects that shine the light of justice into the dark worlds of trafficking and arms deals; projects of biblical engagement that transform the world. Bible engagement is life-enhancing. It is my hope that together Roman Catholics and Evangelicals engage in renewed passion for the Scriptures and their transformative power, taking the Bible so seriously that we can see our past and our future with the same perspective as Mary, the mother of Jesus. Mary, upon hearing that she would bear a child, declared, "Here I am, the servant of the Lord" (Gospel of Luke 1:38). To her relative Elizabeth she narrated her life and the works of God in light of texts from her sacred scriptures. The Bible both guided her thoughts and her actions such that God, through her obedience, made the world a better place. Mary is an embodiment of Bible engagement that I hope is a model for us all.
As we look towards concrete steps for further collaboration, we have developed short documents on some of the themes mentioned, such as nuclear weapons, human trafficking and peace in the Middle East. I would invite Pope Francis to consider these proposals and to endorse publicly Evangelical/Roman Catholic cooperation in these various areas. I further encourage and invite the Pope to meet with Evangelical leaders when he is traveling in the coming year, and I offer our staff expertise and time to help facilitate such meetings, especially in regions or countries where there are tensions, such as Sri Lanka, Mexico, or even in some parts of Europe.

The World Evangelical Alliance, its senior leadership and staff are eager and committed to building collaboration with organizations and institutions of the Roman Catholic Church at all levels. We do this out of obedience to the Gospel and as a concrete response to Jesus' prayer that through our witness the world will see our mutual love, and through our love, the world will see Jesus.

Finally, in cooperation with our partner First Step Forum, we would like to honor Pope Francis today in presenting the annual Shahbaz Bhatti Freedom award. When Minister Bhatti was assassinated we wanted to do something to honor his memory as a Roman Catholic Christian who was helping suffering people from all religions and who became a brave spokesperson for all minorities in Pakistan and around the world. Therefore the Shahbaz Bhatti Freedom award was created; and so we honor Pope Francis with this award today.

Judge overturns Missouri ban on gay marriage

A state judge overturned Missouri's constitutional ban on gay marriage Wednesday in a ruling that immediately set off a rush among some same-sex couples to apply for marriage licenses.

St. Louis Circuit Judge Rex Burlison said in a written ruling that Missouri's measure recognizing marriage only between a man and woman violates the due process and equal protection rights of the U.S. Constitution. The decision mirrored ones handed down recently in several other states.

Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster immediately appealed the ruling to the state Supreme Court, saying the constitutional challenge "must be presented to and resolved" at that level. But he said that his office wouldn't seek a stay of the order, noting that the U.S. Supreme Court refused to grant stays after same-sex marriage decisions in Idaho and Alaska.

Koster previously chose not to appeal a ruling requiring Missouri to recognize same-sex marriages performed in other states.

After hearing about Wednesday's ruling, Kelley Harris, 35, and Kelly Barnard, 36, drove to St. Louis City Hall to apply for a marriage license. They called a photographer to record the event and planned to invite friends to attend an impromptu ceremony at a local park. The couple had held an unofficial wedding ceremony in 2003.

"We've already been living as a married couple — we have children, we have family — so it would be nice to have the legal backing," said Harris, accompanied by her mother and the couple's suit-clad 4-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter.

By 5 p.m., the city had issued marriage licenses to four lesbian couples, including Harris and Barnard. April Breeden and Crystal Peairs, both 38, held a brief ceremony on the marble steps of the City Hall rotunda after obtaining their license.

"Time is of the essence," Peairs said. "We wanted to make sure we got it taken care of today."

The city issued four marriage licenses to same-sex couples in June and then quit doing so, intentionally setting up a legal challenge to the state's 2004 constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Assistant Attorney General Jeremiah Morgan argued during a September court hearing that 71 percent of Missourians had voted for the referendum and said that the U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly allowed states to define marriage.

St. Louis City Counselor Winston Calvert countered in court that the existing law treats same-sex couples as "second-class citizens." He said an increasing number of states are allowing gay couples to wed, including most of the states surrounding Missouri.

"Obviously this is a long time coming for so many gay and lesbian couples in the state of Missouri and the city of St. Louis in particular," Calvert said Wednesday as he and Mayor Francis Slay joined the four couples at the marriage license office.

Terry Garrett-Yampolsky, an archivist in the St. Louis recorder of deeds office, was part of the initial group of same-sex couples to receive licenses a little more than three months ago. He watched the couples enter the city office Wednesday with a mixture of pride and exhilaration.

"I'm overwhelmed," he said. "It's actually happening."

The decision may lead to same-sex marriage licenses being issued in other Missouri communities. Cheryl Dawson, the recorder of deeds for Greene County in southwest Missouri, said she received one phone inquiry about same-sex marriage licenses after the ruling. She said she told the caller that a state association hadn't yet told her how to handle such requests.

An official with the Recorders' Association of Missouri didn't immediately return a phone call late Wednesday afternoon.

A federal court case in Kansas City also challenges Missouri's gay marriage ban. Jackson County officials cited that case in a written statement late Wednesday noting that Burlison's ruling "is limited to St. Louis city."

The Missouri lawsuits mirror dozens of others across the country. The suits are based on the same arguments that led the U.S. Supreme Court last year to overturn part of the federal Defense of Marriage Act that denied a range of tax, health and veterans benefits to legally married gay couples.

Gay marriage is legal in 32 states and the District of Columbia.

Hungary’s Christian Democratic People’s Party (KDNP) has submitted a bill to Parliament on Thursday which, if passed, will have all stores closed at 10 P.M. on every day of the week. The original argument for the restriction is that a shopping ban for Sundays would bring families closer and protect employees from being exploited by their employers. There will be five Sundays in a year when stores can be open, as well as on 24 and 31 December between 6 A.M. and noon.

If the bill submitted by the ruling Fidesz party’s minor ally is passed by Hungarian lawmakers, the general rule for businesses from 15 March 2015 will be the following:

opening hours on working days are from 6 A.M. to 10 P.M.
on Sundays and holidays businesses must be closed
stores may be open on five Sundays a year between 6 A.M. and 10 P.M.
stores may be open between 6 A.M. and noon on 24 December and on 31 December

The bill also includes exceptions and government decrees can also create exceptions to the rules.

If a store wants to be open on any of the five Sundays allowed by law it will have to announce this intention to the commercial authority at least 15 days prior to the day in question.

The exceptions

The law would make tourism services exempt, just like commercial activities in accommodations and service activities supplying commerce. The following commercial units may continue to be open on

Sundays:

national tobacco shops

pharmacies

at international airports

at railway stations and coach terminals

in the area of correctional facilities

in the area of health care institutions

on markets and farmers’ markets

in fairs

petrol stations

in military unitsSpecial provision

The bill also stipulates that stores selling exclusively bakery goods and dairy products may open at 5 A.M. on regular days and be open between 5 A.M. and noon on holidays and Sundays. Newspaper stands and florists may be open between 6 A.M. and noon on Sundays and holidays.

Further exceptions that take into consideration the specifics of a given area/settlement may be determined in a government decree to be conceived at a later date, with special emphasis on the need to serve tourism, meet shopping habits and taking into consideration the interests of employees and the residential environment of a given area.

400 sqm threshold

Stores with shopping area of under 400 square metres may remain open even on the restricted days during the allowed opening hours if the operator is an individual entrepreneur, member of a sole proprietorship or a person with controlling share in a company or family member of the aforementioned.

Fines will fly

The consumer protection authority will check whether the commercial units comply with the law or not. If it find irregularities it can have the business closed.

for between 5 to 15 days on the first infringement

for 30 days on the second infringement;

for 90 days on the third infringement;

and for 365 days on any further infringement.

The lawmakers behind the bill underline that this proposal is to put an end to a lengthy debate by stipulating when stores can be open in Hungary.

They said that "in view of the proposer of the bill the situation is ripe for Hungary - drawing from several western European examples, e.g. of Austria or German - to have law regulating the opening hours of commercial units."

Opening will be banned on Sundays and on holidays as a general rule. Opening hours will be restricted on any other day to between 6 A.M. and 10 P.M., including on Saturdays.

The Sunday Blues: When the day of rest is a day of stress

What was once often identified as a day of rest is now a day of stress for many people.

Whether you call it the Sunday blues or Sunday sadness, the last day of the weekend leaves many people feeling down in the dumps or even full of dread.

It’s not a medical or psychiatric condition — the Sunday blues hasn’t been quantified in Canada. But a study out of England by the mental health organization Mind found that almost 30 per cent of people had feelings of apprehension and dread the evening before returning to work and or school.

Experts say there are several factors behind the Sunday blues, which usually hit during late afternoon to early evening: the sense of disappointment that the good times of the weekend are almost over; feelings of loss of freedom; a dislike for the job or studies that lie ahead; feeling overwhelmed by the upcoming week’s responsibilities; and the change in sleep-wake cycles.

“A feeling of being down, sluggish, lethargic coincides with the work week for most people,” said Dr. Joti Samra, a Vancouver psychologist.

“For me, Sunday nights have long been a time of anxiety and panic, even the blues,” says QMFM radio host and voice-over artist Ray Grover. “For me, most of it comes from a period of 13 years doing radio morning shows. After a weekend of lax bedtimes, suddenly the panic of the alarm going off the next morning at 4 a.m. creeps in.

“My radio work hasn’t involved a regular morning show now for seven years, but the panic still lives inside of me on Sunday nights. ‘Am I prepared? Will I wake up? What am I going to talk about?’ It doesn’t help that I have always been the person who does not like going to bed at night and trying to sleep.”

The way we work these days is also a contributing factor to late-weekend anxiety, says Samra.

“People are working a lot longer hours than they used to,” said Samra, an adjunct professor in the psychology department at Simon Fraser University. “You look at households, both adults work full time. There is greater financial stress in our current day and age, and for that reason a lot of people feel they are kind of stuck in a position that they are dissatisfied with and Sunday is marking the eve before they have to be back in that work environment.”

For many people, the weekend itself has taken on a work-like vibe, with long lists of errands and chores instead of meetings and deadlines.

“It feels like Sunday is more a work day than the traditional relaxed day everyone thinks it is,” said Annita McPhee, formerly the leader of the Tahltan Nation and now a self-employed adviser to First Nations.

“Sometimes I think, ‘Oh I gotta do this and gotta do that,’ then I just feel tired,” said McPhee. “Even other people I talk to, they say Sunday is their organizing day.”

Since the Sunday blues can spill over and cause Monday malaise, Samra suggests bonding briefly with co-workers as a way to decrease the dread.

“There is something to be said for a little venting, you know, the water-cooler chat,” said Samra. “Actually, there is a therapeutic component to that, to be able to vent a little bit. It’s helpful because it helps us to connect to other people and we realize we are not alone.”

But Samra warns against becoming — or spending too much time with — the constant complainer.

“We know if you are excessively venting about the same thing and taking no action, that is actually counter productive and counter therapeutic,” said Samra.

If you are one of those constant complainers, it’s time to make a big change, say experts.

And by change they mean really shake up your work reality.

For chalk artist Martin Hayes, the switch to self-employment made his Sunday blues go away.

“Eventually I took a risk and went solo with my work. It seemed like overnight that the hatred toward Mondays disappeared and the Sunday blues faded away,” said Hayes, who lives in Richmond and worked for sign companies before going out on his own.

“As I got busier and busier with my work, Sundays became a night where I really enjoyed going into my studio to be creative and prepare or complete work for Monday.”

At the end of the day — or should we say the end of the weekend — banishing the Sunday blues and reclaiming the day is doable. And the best way to manage it is to take care of your health, eat right, maintain regular sleep patterns and cut yourself some slack.

HELPFUL TIPS ON HOW TO COMBAT THE SUNDAY BLUES

Why do you have the blues?

Look at the big picture. Are you doing what you want with your life?

Maybe your malaise is a sign that you should take a look at your professional and personal goals. Make time to devise a plan to make some changes.

Look for patterns

Are your Sunday blues a regular occurrence? If so, look for patterns.

What are you dreading? What are you doing when the Sunday blues hit? Does this happen every Sunday? Once you identify the triggers, you can work toward changes.

Organize your work area before you leave on Friday

A clean workspace will help you picture a fresh start when you think about Monday morning.

Don’t sleep in

You may think sleeping in is just what the weekend ordered but the fact is you’ll throw off your circadian rhythm, likely leading to a bit of insomnia come Sunday night, which will then lead to a crummy Monday morning.

Start a fun Sunday-night tradition

Saying goodbye to the weekend can be a downer. Instead of moping in the afternoon and evening, get moving and make a date with friends or family members to do something fun. Start a tradition that you look forward to and that makes you happy.

Turn off technology

You don’t need to check your work emails again, do you? Backing away from emails, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram might just give you a feeling of escape. Besides, do you really need to know that Sam from accounting biked 50 kilometres and that Janet in HR had the best dim sum ever?

Do something else with your time. Go outside, for example.

Try to make one weekend day errand free

If it is at all possible, get your errands, phone calls, emails, texts and chores done in one weekend day, leaving the other day free to relax and enjoy yourself. This will be easier to do if you add an errand a day on to your weekdays.

Take care of yourself

Exercise, eat well and avoid turning to alcohol or drugs. Feeling bad physically will make you feel even worse emotionally.

Talk to a mental health professional

If you just can’t seem to shake the blues, then it’s time to reach out to a professional.
