Three Angles News - Adventist and Catholic Health Systems to Partner

26 June 2014 | PAM DIETRICH

1. The Catholic Alexian Brothers Health System and Adventist Midwest Health have signed a letter of intent to form a partnership. Both healthcare company CEOs said that “under their nonbinding agreement, each company will maintain control of its assets, identities and different religious priorities."

2. Ugandan Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi recently spoke at a fundraiser for a Seventh-day Adventist Church. The Kikajjo SDA Church is buying more land so that it can expand, and the prime minister donated money himself, as well as bringing donations on behalf of his family. He praised the SDA church for "promoting peace and unity" in Uganda.

3. Star of the movie Think Like A Man Too, Meagan Good has been criticized by some religious people for not dressing modestly as the wife of Seventh-day Adventist preacher (and movie executive) DeVon Franklin. She defended her clothing choices in a recent interview.
